Sad to say but his search was to no avail in the first room. The keys he'd collected opened every cell in his initial room but inside them he found nothing but emaciated individuals. Male, female, and child all alike in form thought their size somewhat differed. No weapons. No items. No armor. This left him with only one way to progress. Down the hall and towards the other room. Without the guards the only thing he had to worry about were the emaciated individuals he'd let out, though most of them chose to remain within their cells and cower. A hand full however decided to follow him out of morbid curiosity than anything. When Marik ventured to the other side, he'd notice that this room was, damn near exactly the same as the former.
Jail cells in the same place, the same coffins, torture chairs, bloodstains, and even fucked up railing. Though on the far-right side of this room the walkway was sheared off as rubble had apparently broken the walkway. Should Marik actually begin sensing out this room he'd immediately note that there was another individual bound and held by magical sigils. The specific cell was near the rubble that blocked the path to it as well as showed the missing walkway behind it. Unlike most residents here whoever or whatever was within it, as the sigils were bright enough to blind Marik, didn't move or say anything. It was hard to be certain if whatever was inside even recognized that he was around. Whatever the case was, it quietly remained within its cell.
More than likely however, Marik would continue his frantic search and quickly realize that the cells on this side weren't going to open for the keys he had. It seemed his set of keys was specifically for just his original prison room. So that'd mean he'd have to find the keys in this room. But considering the former? It wasn't hard to take a guess as to where they were at. A quick hop and a skip shoed that in fact there was a ring of keys on a metal hook on a wall where the two "hallways" connected. If Marik used these keys on any of the cells in this room, he'd find that they'd open up with ease. And surprise surprise, one of the keys had a strange symbol on it. One that looked like a gate. More than likely pinging Marik to the fact that this was the key that could give him access to the stairway near his cell.
From here it's very likely that Marik would have begun running towards the gate. Hell, maybe even flying. But a voice would call out to him when he reached the hallway again. It was surprisingly "healthy" all things considered. Rough, aged, male but not worn away by screaming in agony for hours on end. "Inmate! If you can understand me, say something! I cannot tell what you are, but you do not seem to be the same as the husks that wander or are experimented upon! Nor do you have the malevolent presence of the wardens! If you can spare it, please help me! I can make myself useful!" The ball was in Marik's court on if he'd have the time or will to even give this voice the time of day. If he chose not to, the voice would not speak again. It would simply let him walk off with nothing more said.
OOC: Watch the video from 2 min to 4:20. (Or go to 5:10 but the remainder of the time is spent walking back to the gate.)
