Chuunibyou Rogue with an adoration for Soul Society, Chika~!
✚ OPENING ✚
Passwords: Kitai's Debt, Sanctus Teamwork
Discord: Juuli
Class/Rank: Class 8/Rank 1
Position/Affiliation: Academy Student, Squad 6 Hopeful{Type: Fighter, Version 2}Type: Fighter, Version 2
Description: Fighters are people that have given up most Reiatsu-based powers. They focus solely on their own ability to fight and their 'weapons'. From the beginning, Shinigami cast aside Kidō and Arrancar would do the same with Cero, Bala, and other techniques. Movement abilities, such as Shunpo, are not affected. They are only able to fight using weapons strictly meant for them. Zanpakutō are spiritually connected with their wielder. Arrancar Zanpakutō are a sealed state of their true being. Quincy have their bows and Bounts have their Dolls. They are much stronger mentally and love fighting. Vizard are affected by not being able to use Kidō, but they still can use their Vizard-based Reiatsu abilities like Vizard Cero and Vizard Mask. This does NOT lock out Reiatsu-based Releases, merely non-Release abilities that manipulate Reiatsu.
Advantage:
- Rank 1: 35% increase to Speed and Spiritual Pressure (100 would be 135). It takes 50% more Spiritual Pressure than normal for a Fighter to suffer cutback (instead of 150 Spiritual Pressure disadvantage causing cutback, it would require a 225 Spiritual Pressure difference).
- Rank 2: 50% increase to one Speed and Spiritual Pressure (100 would be 150). It takes 50% more Spiritual Pressure than normal for a Fighter to suffer cutback (instead of 150 Spiritual Pressure disadvantage causing cutback, it would require a 225 Spiritual Pressure difference).
- Rank 3: 75% increase to Speed and Spiritual Pressure (100 would be 175). It takes double the Spiritual Pressure than normal for a Fighter to suffer cutback (instead of 150 Spiritual Pressure disadvantage causing cutback, it would require a 300 Spiritual Pressure difference).
- Rank 4: Double one Physical Stat and one Spiritual Stat (100 would be 200). It takes triple the Spiritual Pressure than normal for a Fighter to suffer cutback (instead of 150 Spiritual Pressure disadvantage causing cutback, it would require a 450 Spiritual Pressure difference).
Disadvantage: 25% decrease to the Physical and Spiritual Stats that were not increased (if Strength and Reiatsu Strength were increased, then Speed and Spiritual Pressure will be decreased. 100 would be 75). Reiatsu-based abilities are lost: Kidō, Cero, Bala, etc. Fullbringers can use their racial basic Soul Command, but no techniques that expand upon it. Fighters are unable to make non-martial or non-weapon techniques. Characters with this Type are limited to a 0 in Healing Expertise and a 50 in Energy Sensory.{Projected Stats & Skills (280 SP): Click here}

Name: Chika Hirabayashi
Real Age/Age of Appearance: 103/21
Birthday: June 21st
Blood Type: O-✚ APPEARANCE ✚
Height: 5'3"/160 cm.
Weight: 103 lbs./46.7 kg.
Eye Color: Golden.
Hair Color: Blonde, with a single off-color streak.{Faceclaim: Selkie (Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright)}
Physical Appearance:
Standing at five-foot-three, and weighing around one-hundred pounds, Chika is certainly a woman of beauty. At a first glance, one of the most noteworthy features about Chika is easily her eyes. Shining bright, her eyes maintain a rather soft golden color, reminiscent to what one might expect from that of a dog of sorts. Matching this same coloration, Chika's hair also has a similar blond color to it, though kept quite tidy and all-in-all relatively organized. Down the middle of her bangs, a singular, off-color streak persists. This streak is unnaturally colored, and tends to change more often than Chika's own mood changes; she likes to dye her hair pretty consistently.
Atop her head, two fuzzy ears rest perpetually perked up, with tufts of white "fur" protruding from them. Similarly, a fuzzy golden tail protrudes from Chika's lower back, further completing the look for her. For most folks, it's quite difficult to tell if these are real or not; nothing inherently gives away that they might be fake, but the same can be said otherwise. They might move on their own every now and again, but given spiritually-inclined world this could mean very little. Chika claims she's half Beast-clan because of it.
As far as outfits are concerned, Chika is almost exclusively found wearing some form of Shihakkusho. Given her immense amount of respect for the Gotei 13, she'd do very little in order to make the group as a whole look bad. The only exception to this is while in a Gigai of some kind; Chika is still very likely to be wearing something relatively simple all things considered, but also formal at the same time; a yukata almost always follows in suit. Other than that, her outfits don't really change all that much. Resting by her side at all times, Chika's Bakkōtō remains likely sealed, and tucked neatly toward her waist.✚ PERSONALITY ✚
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Likes:
✚ Soul Society - It should come to no surprise that Chika is a very avid fan of Soul Society, and the way that the Gotei 13 is set up. Given she was willing to to criminal lengths just to support the faction despite her own shortcomings should show this, if it doesn't already display her rash nature.
✚ Talking About Herself - Chika absolutely adores talking about herself. Not quite in a narcissistic way where she feels she's better than other folks, but more so out of enjoyment for her own story, and the efforts she's put in to get her to where she is now. The only thing she refuses to share about herself is the fact that she doesn't actually have a Zanpakutō
✚ The Human World - Gas Station Slushies.
✚ Training - Chika is one of those Shinigami that very much enjoys combat. It should come to no surprise that the girl spends a lot of her free time in the Squad 10 and Squad 11 barracks, training it up with other officers around her capabilities (and occasionally outside!) when she's got the opportunity to do so. Bettering herself is the name of the game here.
✚ Warm Weather - Chika absolutely adores warm weather. If it weren't for the time she spends training, there's nothing she'd love more than to just sprawl out and relax, basking in the sun when she's got the opportunity. That said though, she isn't going to neglect her Squad duties for either of these.
Dislikes:
✚ Lazy Individuals - It should come as no surprise that the hyper-active Chika isn't a fan of folks that lounge around and do nothing all day. She's not the type to make a big stink over resting time, but at the same time too much rest isn't a good thing either! If she can, she'd like to help these folks get a bit more active.
✚ Prying Individuals - Contrary to popular belief, Chika doesn't like individuals that tend to struggle with minding their own business. Given she's got one big secret to herself, she doesn't like it when people tend to invade her headspace and try to get more information than she's otherwise comfortable with sharing.
✚ Her Bakkōtō - Despite being grateful for all the good it's done thus far, Chika absolutely despises the parasitic weapon she's been given. Given the fact that it's very much a criminal tool, it's quite the liability all things considered. She'd replace it in a heartbeat if given the opportunity, but unfortunately a Zanpakutō isn't in the foreseeable future for her.
✚ Alcohol - Chika very much despises everything about the stuff. The smell, the taste, the effect it has on people... This stuff is supremely bad news. She's the type to avoid it like the plague.
✚ Mathematics - Chika hates doing math. Numbers of any kind makes the girl's head hurt quite a bit, and she'd be better off avoiding them or leaving them to someone else to deal with.
Habits:
✚ Chuunibyou - Chika's got a bad case of eighth grader syndrome. She's generally a very over-the-top, very flashy individual that tends to view herself as a main character of sorts, standing different from the rest. A good example of this is her ears and tail; nobody knows if she's half Beast-clan or not, and she's not going to be sharing that any time soon!
✚ Laughs - Similar to the habit above, Chika has some really standout laughs that she tends to make. It's not too hard to spot when these aren't authentic laughs, as she'll make no effort to hide them. Think laughs similar to your average cliché supervillain and you've got the right idea.
✚ Talking - Chika tends to talk. A lot. Like, non-stop. If she's got a moment to rant about something, she's likely going to take that opportunity to do so. The girl just never stops unless she's sleeping.
✚ Eating - Given how often she's constantly in the barracks training her ass off, Chika never really stops eating. First and foremost, she's got quite the desire to keep herself active, and as such she needs the energy to keep her body going. Oh, and the parasitic weapon thing.
✚ Huffing and Puffing - Chika doesn't like to be told "no". She's very much a child in that regard, and will generally make a small fuss when that happens. She's not the type to go above and beyond with that, out of a desire to not make a fool of herself, but you get the idea.
Flaws:
✚ Senselessly Devoted - Chika's done quite a bit that she can't take back in order to make sure she's gotten into the Gotei 13. Such should be obvious at this point that she's got quite the strong sense of admiration toward those there; so much so, that she's willing to take most any orders without complaint.
✚ Complaints - Chika tends to complain quite a bit about things she doesn't like. While she's not the type to just be rude about something, she's not exactly going to hide her thoughts, either. She'll make them fairly known, but might just sugarcoat things to stop others from being hurt.
✚ Self-Reliant - Chika tends to prefer to do things on her own when presented with the opportunity for such. She's not the type to go out of her way to ask for help most of the time, and such behaviors very much show with her actions. Even if she knows she might need it, Chika isn't the type to ask for help if she isn't required to.
✚ Slow to Trust - Linking in with the above flaw, Chika is very slow to trust others. Given she's got a rather large secret she's meant to keep, she's very hesitant to let herself get close to folks. Even if she does, that's not something she's going to willingly share with people.
Fear:
✚ Her Secret Slipping - Chika only really has one big fear; that would be the possibility of the fact that she has a Bakkōtō becoming public knowledge. Nothing quite scares the girl more than that possibility, given that would mean that either she's forced to leave Soul Society, or she's simply going to be put up for execution. In truth, she's not quite sure which one scares her more, and frankly both are a demise that she doesn't want to meet. She'd do anything to keep that a secret.
Goal:
✚ Fight for the Future - Inversely, Chika only really has one big goal. More than anything else, the girl has a strong desire to improve the future as a whole. Whatever that may mean is up to those interpreting it. For her? Chika would love to have the Soul Society be more open to those they accept into their ranks, including but not limited to those tainted by Hell Reiatsu with the Nakabakki, and those with the essence of a Hollow coursing through them with the Vizards. All-in-all, she'd like to focus toward reform and make the organization a better place overall.
Overall Personality:
Chika as a person is a very bubbly soul. She's the type of person to constantly be bouncing around with a plethora of energy, and not really be sure what to do with it. It's almost as though she's constantly bouncing off the walls, always looking for something to do; whether that means training with other officers, or focusing toward her Squad duties, it doesn't matter to her. She very much likes to remain active at all times if she can!
One key note about the girl's personality is that she's a bit eccentric, all thing considered. She's very much the type of person to go over the top when talking to folks, almost as to try to paint herself as the main character of a story without being so overbearing that she comes off as narcissistic about it. Instead, she's just extremely extroverted, and will go out of her way to make acquaintances with practically everybody she meets. She's more than willing to give every person she encounters the benefit of the doubt before judging them.
One thing to note about the girl, however, is that she does harbor a bit of a darker side to her. Not so much so in the fact that she's got a mean streak or anything of the like, but she does hold a rather large secret in the fact that she doesn't actually have a Zanpakutō. Instead, she possesses a Bakkōtō; the very same parasitic weapons that remain permanently outlawed within Soul Society. Nonetheless, she feels that she uses it for good, and won't be swayed otherwise, should someone find out her secret.
When it comes to getting on the girl's good side, this is not a very difficult thing to do. First and foremost, simply be nice to her. Those that are willing to put up with her antics are those that she's going to find herself not only getting along with, but actively spending more time with out of virtue of wanting to treat those well that treat her well. When it comes to getting on her bad side, simply a stray insult is more than enough to leave her with quite the grudge, assuming someone isn't willing to apologize.✚ COMBAT ✚
Fighting Style:
Chika's fighting style isn't one that's all that "out there", so to speak. As anyone could reasonably expect from the girl, she's a very physically-inclined fighter. Having sworn off any kind of Kidō, and relying almost exclusively on her own martial prowess, the girl tends to take a very up-close and personal approach to combat most of the time, with a few minute exceptions here and there depending on the circumstances. One thing is for certain though, she's fairly hesitant when it comes to releasing her abilities.
As such, she's going to do what she can in order to prevent herself from having to release as often as possible. Given the risk she runs every time she draws upon her Bakkoto, it's only natural that she remains incredibly hesitant of doing so. Once she unlocks her Level Four, this will naturally become much easier on her to disguise, so she'll be more likely to use her abilities, but until then? She'd rather not take that chance.
While at an advantage, Chika is very likely to take the opportunity to press the assault while she can, looking to corner her foes with tactical approaches and aiming to simply shut them down as fast as physically possible. While at a disadvantage, Chika might just end up pressed into a corner enough to prompt the girl to release. Until that time comes though, she's very likely to fight mono a mono as best she can. No need to overexert when simply taking a number of hits could put her life on the line, y'know?
Bakkoto Name: 破れた夢 - Yabureta Yume (lit. “Fractured Dreams”) / 持続的に破れた夢 - Jizoku-teki Ni Yabureta Yume (lit. "Sustainably Fractured Dreams")
Bakkoto Appearances:
Yabureta Yume is a rather simple Bakkōtō in terms of its appearances. For the most part, the weapon doesn't even present itself as a Bakkōtō at all! In its sealed form, Yabureta Yume takes hold as a standard uchigatana, not far from the norm in terms of what you'd expect from a standard Shinigami's Zanpakutō. The weapon's grip is wrapped in rather simple fabric, resting in a plain black saya. The only feature to note about this weapon that might otherwise stand out is the Bakkōtō's signature nucleus on the bottom of the saya, but this covered without fail with a custom cap that fits directly on the end of the weapon, preventing it from being seen. Said cap is attached quite tightly, making sure its falling off proves to never be an issue. Interestingly enough, every slash that Chika makes will leave a trail of spatial effects in her wake, tracing the appearance of the night sky across her blade.
Level Four brings about the first shift in shape for Yabureta Yume, and its through this stage that the weapon becomes a naginata. Boasting a rather simplistic, but notably long curved blade atop a simple pole, nothing in particular stands out about the design of this weapon. The only thing really worth noting is the faint light the weapon gives off, but such is only really noticeable while in pitch black darkness. Otherwise, this isn't more than a simple cinematic effect.
In Level Two, this weapon undergoes a rather noteworthy change of shape. Instead of maintaining a polearm appearance, this weapon instead changes back into its standard katana shape, but with some rather large changes. Instead of appearing as a simple katana, this sword instead looks like a solidified fragment of space itself, painting a picture of stars and planets across an otherwise pure black weapon. It's quite the beautiful appearance, really.{Bakkoto Overall Ability: Cyclic Fantasies}
As with all Bakkōtō, Yabureta Yume naturally has its own set of unique abilities. Staying true to its namesake, Yabureta Yume is a Bakkōtō that specializes in the concept of "dreams". This doesn't wholly relate to dreams in regards to sleeping, but also dreams as in hopes, and plans for the future. In a sense, ability is partially attributed to time manipulation and reality warping, though on a rather small scale. Most everything Yabureta Yume does is not capable of affecting an area, and even those that do are still quite localized for the most part.
Upon releasing Yabureta Yume's Level Six or higher, an intangible "wheel" of sorts will appear behind Chika, keeping track of two separate resources; Essence of Dreams, and Fragments of Heaven. Up to six hundred Essence of Dreams can be stored at once, and up to twelve Fragments of Heaven can be stored at once. For every fifty Essence of Dreams that Chika builds, she'll be given one Fragment of Heaven. Should she spend that fifty Essence of Dreams, she will not lose her Fragments of Heaven unless she spends them; they're earned alongside one another, but don't decrease together.
Unlike most alternate resource systems, Cyclic Fantasies has a very visual tell, allowing opponents to figure out just what they're dealing with. The wheel that appears behind Chika is a perfect circle, and without any Essence of Dreams takes on a faded purple coloration. This wheel appears almost like little beads, with larger gaps in each segment of the circle where one would expect the numbers on a clock; this is where Chika's Fragments of Heaven rest as she gains them. When earned, these otherwise empty spots will fill with larger, purple orbs, similar to the beadlike orbs that make up Cyclic Fantasies but more describable as actual "orbs". These larger orbs will stay glowing until spent, at which they'll fade completely, as opposed to simply darkening when Essence of Dreams are spent. Both resources will fill in a clockwise pattern as Chika builds them.
While they don't come with any unique effects on their own, both Essence of Dreams and Fragments of Heaven affect the remainder of Chika's release abilities. At any point, Chika is capable of spending Reiatsu or Life Force in order to generate Essence of Dreams. Every one point of Reiatsu will net one Essence of Dreams, whereas every one Life Force will net three.{Level 7: Lucid Dreaming}
Despite being a released stage, Lucid Dreaming isn't technically part of Chika's "release", so to speak. Serving as the black sheep of Yabureta Yume, Lucid Dreaming doesn't actually give Chika any powers. Instead, the activation of Lucid Dreaming simply allows Chika to use Yabureta Yume to cut with her Spiritual Pressure, and suppresses the Bakkōtō's specific Reiatsu Signature. Note that this doesn't suppress Chika's Shinigami signature, but merely hides the fact that the girl is, in fact, a Bakkōtō-wielder. Those that have an amount of Energy Sensory greater than her Spiritual Pressure will be able to see through this illusory dream, but will not be able to tell that Yabureta Yume is a Bakkōtō from just that; an amount of Energy Sensory to be able to read surface thoughts is still required to do so, provided they still have more than her Spiritual Pressure.
Given this stage does not count as a release, Chika is still subject to cutback while wielding Yabureta Yume, and is unable to benefit as though her Bakkōtō had been released, preventing the Life Force to Reiatsu Strength transfer, among other beneficial effects. In return however, releasing this stage costs no Reiatsu or Life Force in order to do, seeing as it's simply giving up a stage of release for little combative effect.{Level 6: Paradox Thesis}
Serving as the first "real" stage of Yabureta Yume, Paradox Thesis is the first step toward the unlocking of the Bakkōtō's abilities. In this stage, Yabureta Yume's Overall Ability takes hold, giving Chika the opportunity to begin to build and spend Essence of Dreams, as well as manifesting the ever-present wheel mentioned in Cyclic Fantasies. Beginning with building up this resource, every successive strike that Chika lands against a foe with Yabureta Yume will build 10 Essence of Dreams.
While Level Six is active, Chika can activate Yabureta Yume's Paradox Thesis. By expending a minimum of 50 Essence of Dreams, and summoning forth a partial-manifestation of a forlorn future, Chika coats her weapon in a starry expanse, mimicking that of space. For the duration, lasting two posts for every 50 Essence of Dreams spent, Chika's attacks will leave behind their slashes in midair, painting this starry, moving pattern across the world around her. These suspended slashes hold a physical form, and could potentially be used both defensively and offensively if done with a creative mind. When these slashes come in contact with individuals that are not Chika, she'll gain 10 Essence of Dreams, stacking with her per-strike gains if done through an attack.{Level 5: Skyline Iris}
Level Five grants Yabureta Yume another unique ability, aptly named "Skyline Iris". Drawing from the previous stage, the amount of Essence of Dreams earned from landing a strike is increased by 10, totaling to 20 Essence of Dreams per hit. On top of that, Yabureta Yume is granted another ability in order to further allow her to turn the tide of combat in her favor, sharing a namesake with this stage of Yabureta Yume.
while Level Five is active, Chika can open the Skyline Iris. By expending a minimum of 100 Essence of Dreams, and throwing her blade in front of her in a horizontal slash, Chika can will that slash to open up like that of an eye for a short moment, appearing like that of an eye before quickly fading away. When said slash is finished, a small "eye" will appear on Chika's Cyclic Fantasies in the "12" position, spawning an additional eye behind up to a number of allies per 100 Essence of Dreams spent, representing this ability's active period. Skyline Irises remain open for the remaining duration of Chika's Level Five duration, before requiring a refresh. A Skyline Iris has a durability equal to Chika's Spiritual Pressure. If broken, Chika must refresh this ability by paying the requisite cost in order to keep it active.
Harnessing Chika's own dreams and desires to end the fight, and those of her allies around her, she can allow this eye to peer into the futures in which her and her friends are victorious. By expending a minimum of one Fragment of Heaven and swinging her blade while the Skyline Iris is open, she can force a slash for each Fragment of Heaven spent to occur from a distance away from her, as long as she has vision on the target she's looking to slash toward. Said target does not need to be a living opponent, it could be an inanimate object as well like a building or a wall. From there, the slash she makes will displace itself and strike against her target at her current Speed, as though she was within melee-distance from her opponent.
The size of a slash is based off of Chika's own perception; while attacking someone or something from melee distance won't cause anything to vary that much, the farther back she is, the wider said slash will end up against something, potentially enabling the girl to destroy a terrain if far enough away. For those like Chika's allies that do not have Fragments of Heaven to spend, creating this slash requires 50 Reiatsu. These slashes will apply appropriate on-hit effects for those attacking, and use the speed of the attacker if Chika is not utilizing this slash.{Level 4: Transcendent Oathkeeper}
Upon unlocking Level Four, Chika has reached a point at which she'll use Yabureta Yume's abilities more frequently. Serving as her Shikai guise, Transcendent Oathkeeper's activation is usually preceded by a fake Shikai callout; "Fight for a brighter future, Yabureta Yume!" As one can expect from something masquerading as a Shikai, Transcendent Oathkeeper comes with a change in form. Now appearing as a naginata of sorts, Yabureta Yume utilizes the girls' skill in Katana in order to determine her proficiency with this new form. Additionally, the amount of Essence of Dreams earned from landing a strike is increased by 10, totaling to 30 Essence of Dreams per hit.
Upon activating this stage, Transcendent Oathkeeper allows Chika to draw upon her hopes for the future by making an oath to motivate her and bolster her chances of attaining the desired outcome. By locking down a Fragment of Heaven per Oath she makes, spending said Fragment and reducing her maximum number by 1 while an Oath is active, she is able to declare a statement aloud, binding her fate to that potential future. Examples of Oaths include "I swear to you, I will protect you!" or "I swear to my friends in Soul Society, I will return home!" Any action taken to progress toward such an outcome will automatically grant Chika Essence of Dreams as though she had landed a strike against a foe.
Naturally, there are some stipulations as to what counts as an Oath. For starters, every Oath that Chika makes must be shouted aloud, and follow the same format; "I swear to XXXX, I will XXXX!" While the desired outcome is fairly open-ended, she is incapable of swearing to herself, and those she does swear to needs to make sense situationally. This means she cannot swear to some random, unrelated individual while defending Soul Society. If there is nobody that situationally makes sense for her to swear to, she cannot make an Oath. Up to twelve Oaths can be maintained at once, but each Oath maintained will eat away at her Fragments of Heaven, so it might not be wise to do so. If four separate Oaths would grant their Essence of Dreams at the exact same time, Chika can instead elect to gain a Fragment of Heaven instead.{Level 3: Wishes Unnumbered}
Level Three of Yabureta Yume comes with a few different effects, granting a fairly plentiful number of boons between her Shikai and Bankai guises. As per usual, the amount of Essence of Dreams earned from landing a strike is increased by 10, totaling to 40 Essence of Dreams per hit.
Activation of Chika's Level Three allows her to call upon the dreams of the masses, and manifest those wishes as a conglomerate of floating Wish Totems, giving the masses the opportunity to fight for their own dreams. These Wish Totems appear as starry manifestations, with twinkling lights similar to that of outer space; much like Yabureta Yume's Level Six. Creating a Wish Totem costs four Fragments of Heaven, and up to three Wish Totems can exist at any given time. These Wish Totems have a durability equal to double Chika's Spiritual Pressure, and a Class equal to Chika's highest active Bakkōtō Class for clashing. These Wish Totems last until they're destroyed. Once every three posts, starting three posts after they're created, a Wish Totem will fire a burst of energy toward one target, flying at 800 Speed and striking with Chika's Spiritual Pressure.
While seemingly underwhelming, these Wish Totems serve an additional, much stronger purpose. By expending 600 Reiatsu or Life Force and any amount of Essence of Dreams (in intervals of 200), Chika can call down a burst of sparkling, searing light five feet in diameter to strike a target, raining from the sky (or ceiling) at 1,600 speed. For every Wish Totem sacrificed alongside the activation of this strike, it will cost Chika 200 less Reiatsu or Life Force. Every 200 Essence of Dreams spent for the activation of this searing light will cause another explosive force of light to rain down from the sky at the same speed and power backing it, further supporting the drive of the masses to clear through any obstacle needed for securing a better future.{Level 2: Edge of Oblivion}
Yabureta Yume's Level Two serves as Chika's Bankai equivalent, and as such comes with another change in form, preceded by the following release callout; "Shatter the perceived future and bring about a brighter tomorrow! For everyone in this world wishing for brighter days, make those dreams a reality! Jizoku-teki Ni Yabureta Yume!" Upon activation of Level Two, Chika's Bakkōtō shifts back into a katana, though with a distinctly different appearance; the same starlight patterns etched across quite a number of her abilities is persistent with this weapon, painted across the entire shape, as though a fragment of space itself rests in the girl's hands. As with all stages, the amount of Essence of Dreams earned from landing a strike is increased by 10, totaling to 50 Essence of Dreams per hit.
Upon activation of Level Two, Chika is forced to immediately spend all of her Fragments of Heaven, setting her total back down to zero. Upon spending this, a rather simple, but all-around incredibly useful change occurs to Chika's resources; for every Fragment of Heaven expended, Chika's maximum Essence of Dreams is increased by 50. Additionally, every time Chika would gain any amount of Essence of Dreams beyond her maximum, she'll instead regenerate 10 Reiatsu or Life Force per Fragment of Heaven she originally expended; whichever is lower. If they're equal, she's able to choose. These changes last for as long as Chika maintains her Level Two or Level One stages, and this effect will not kick in again if Chika drops her Level Two; she'll be locked from using this aspect for the remainder of the thread, or after a long rest in longer-styled threads.{Level 1: Precipice upon Eternity}
Yabureta Yume's pinnacle ability, Level One acts as Chika's "Bankai Plus" in a sense. Nothing physically changes with Chika's weapon or anything of the like, but per usual, the amount of Essence of Dreams earned from landing a strike is increased by 10, totaling to 60 Essence of Dreams per hit.
What Precipice upon Eternity does, however, is call upon the dreams of those in the past, present, and future in order to allow Chika's capabilities to explode outward, and give her the opportunity to fight for everyone she holds dear, those that can't defend themselves, and those without a voice. Turning Chika into the penultimate envoy of hope, Precipice upon Eternity aims to give her the strength to power through anything that might be thrown her way, in the name of fighting for a brighter tomorrow.
Upon activation of Level One, all of Chika's Essence of Dreams are immediately spent, and she is set back to zero. Upon this happening, Chika will find herself coated in a glistening starlight, reminiscent of the rest of her abilities, and her Spiritual Pressure will end up increased for the duration of her Level One. For every six Essence of Dreams that was spent in this way, Chika's Spiritual Pressure will be given a 1% increase, capping at 3x should she spend an astronomical 1,200 Essence of Dreams.
Naturally, something so powerful isn't without its own set of drawbacks attached to it. For one, this Spiritual Pressure increase is only for release-related calculations; non-release techniques and cutback remain unaffected by this increase. Additionally, her Reiatsu and Life Force maximums are not increased, but left as they are. This Spiritual Pressure is unable to be altered through Chika's own means, meaning she cannot transfer anything into Reiatsu Strength, she can't sacrifice it for Rogue benefits, et cetera. If Chika were to drop her Level One, this bonus is lost and cannot be regained for the remainder of the thread, or after a long rest in longer-styled threads. Upon dropping Level One, Chika's remaining Reiatsu, Life Force, Essence of Dreams, and Fragments of Heaven are all immediately halved.{Zero Stage: Wishbearer}
Taking one final risk to strike back against those that aim to halt the dreams of others, Chika overloads her own body with the materialized dreams of others, and allows her physical form to explode outward in a massive five-hundred-foot diameter around. Said explosion inflicts an amount of force equal to the Offensive Stat of her Zero Stage, though will only damage those that Chika has already considered her enemies; for those that she considers her allies, they'll instead be given a boon of sorts; for every point of Reiatsu that Chika had remaining, every ally within the range of her Zero stage when she explodes into starlight will be granted that much Reiatsu, but will not be able to go over their normal cap; this serves as a final gift from the Rogue, one last benefit to pursue the future before she departs from the world.
Other Techniques:{Shunpo - Proficient}
Technique Name: Shunpo (Flash Steps)
Class: 7
Technique Type: Kidō
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
A movement technique that allows the user to move faster than the eye can follow. The focal point that determines the basis of this technique is speed. As speed is the main point of the technique, the method is best characterized by how fast one can get from Point A to Point B in the least amount of steps. Training and skill are what determines how fast a user of Shunpo can move. Those of little skill in the technique or those who haven't used it for an extended amount of time would obviously be out of practice, causing those individuals to be considerably slower. This requires the use of more steps to move the same distance and become tired more easily in a shorter amount of time. A single step magnifies speed for that step by ten times. Shunpo uses fifty Reiatsu per step. This one is automatically learned in the academy. All Shinigami know this when created. This technique does not take up a technique slot.
How to use technique:
Focus of Reishi around the feet area and launch off into a single blurring step. It is not unlike teleportation in appearance, but it is simply extremely fast movement. It is often used to gain an edge in a single moment of combat or to dodge incoming attacks.✚ HISTORY ✚

History:{CHAPTER Ⅰ}
Though her origin a mystery, records state a miss Chika Hirabayashi first making herself known around ten to fifteen years ago. Starting off as nothing more than a petty thief in the Rukongai, Chika learned very quickly that in the lesser districts, doing some rather unsavory things had been required in order to simply survive. As such, most of her time had been spent growing up scraping together food where she could, in order to simply live as comfortably as possible. Granted, that isn't the easiest thing to do given the situation, but she managed.
Eventually, however, her luck ran short. After a run-in with some surprisingly kind Shinigami, Chika had a change-of-heart of sorts. instead of spending her time stealing to survive, the girl found herself with a desire to turn her life around. The best way to do this, given her circumstances? Join up with the Gotei 13. Given the girl's noticeable spiritual presence, compared to the rest of the Rukon citizens, her chances of having that opportunity made themselves quite well-known. All that she had to do was get in.
Though, unfortunately for Chika, getting in was the difficult part. For one reason or another, the girl's own body seemed to almost reject the idea of the Asauchi. Unable to even wield one of the weapons due to spiritual backlash, Chika had been put into a rather unfortunate position; either find some kind of alternative like Kidō, or simply abandon her hopes of turning her life around.
Naturally, Chika was not the type of girl to quit that easily. Instead of simply giving up, turning in the towel, and going back to a life of thievery, she began to try her hand with Shinigami spellwork. Though, as fate would have it, it seemed that even such practices were out of the picture; no matter what she tried, what spell she tried to cast, or how she tried to learn them, each and every one either fizzled out, blew up in her face, or simply refused to work. Naturally this filled the girl with a sense of dread, leaving her to have to consider alternatives.
In the meantime, Chika did what she could in order to try to learn Hakuda; a feat that proved not only easy for the girl, but quickly became a field that she excelled in after a short period of time; a natural prodigy, of sorts. Though, this didn't exactly help her predicament. As one can expect, ignoring a problem until it hopefully goes away isn't the most sound of ideas; one that proved rather problematic as she didn't have a way to actually purify Hollows. She knew she needed another answer, and fast.
Enter the Kasumi'Oji. The very first chance she got, after having remembered the family and their underground activities from her time spent in the Rukongai criminal scene, she immediately sought them out to see what could've been done in order to help with her current situation. Thankfully, a solution - albeit, a dangerous and illegal solution - was given to her; take up a Bakkōtō, and serve as a Kasumi'Oji spy of sorts.
Though, while Chika gladly took up the Bakkōtō, she wasn't having any of that spy BS. The moment she got hold of the weapon, she cut ties, changed her name, and completely changed her appearance in order to keep her identity a secret. In turn, she disguised her weapon as to make sure it didn't appear as the illegal one that she could've been very easily tried for, and took the time to finish out the rest of the academy now that she had something to fight with.
After faking her Bakkōtō as an Asauchi, and quickly thereafter graduating the Academy, Chika now sits as a "reserve" of sorts, still waiting to join a Squad until after having gotten a feel for all of her choices, and instead taking the opportunity to learn with each Squad beforehand. Despite the lengths she'd already gone to in order to make things work out, Chika remains a woman ready to take more risks in order to make the world a better place.
