-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Appearance-
Height/Weight: 170cm/57 kg
Physical Description: At first glance, Dan seems like a very weak individual physically... He is. He is a short, young man with a weak complexion. His eyes are violet-colored and has a small nose, small ears and small mouth. He has fair skin and messy, short, blue, curly hair.
He usually wears clothes with long sleeves and comfortable sneakers or loafers, clothing more fitting for winter time, since he was raised in Hokkaido, a northern island in Japan known for its cold weather. He usually wears white long-sleeved t-shirts, jackets and scarfs. He's also seen using headphones many times. As told before, Dan doesn’t have a lot of developed muscle. In fact, he tends to have a bit of a chub because of mostly eating fried chicken hamburgers at his favorite family restaurant.
He doesn't have scars, but he has bruised skin under his clothes, since he was punched and kicked when he was a kid by bullies. He also tends to have some eyebags that has to hide with some makeup. His hands tend to be cold. It's bothersome, but he got used to it, since he grew up in a cold area of the country. Overall, he would prefer to not show a lot of skin, even if it's summer.

-Personality-
Dislikes:
Injustice: This is pretty self-explanatory. Dan doesn’t like injustice, mainly because of his own experiences in school.
Crowds: He doesn’t have agoraphobia, but he rather be in a quieter place than that.
Solitude: Although Dan likes to be by himself, he doesn’t want to be completely alone in a close place.
Bullying: He can’t deal with people who like to bully and harass just for giggles and prove their strength.
Overprotectiveness: He was very sheltered when he was younger, so Dan developed a distaste of being overprotected or watching others not being able to walk on their own.
Cockiness: He can’t deal with people who are way over themselves and are belitting others without anything good to back those skills.
Perfection: As a music student, Dan can’t deal with perfection or people obsessed with the idea.
Queerphobia: Dan believes in romantic love as something more or less universal between two or more consenting adults, so Dan will get upset If he has to deal with queerphobes.
Apathy: Dan can’t stand seeing people who are just too busy looking their own bellies and not seeing what is around them.
Harsh honesty: Dan believes that honesty is good, but when said with apathy and bluntly, it does more damage than anything.
Likes:
Sweets: He has liked sweets and baked goods since he was a child. His favorites are shortbread cookies, homemade flan, custard pies, fruit tarts, and eclairs.
Fast Food: Not just any fast food, but the fast food from Lucky Pierrot, a fast-food restaurant based in Hokkaido. His favorite dishes are the Chinese chicken burger and the onion rings.
Singing: Since he grew up with a father who owned a music store, Dan developed a deep love for music. He has refined his singing voice and loves to show it, although he might get some self-conscious.
Playing guitar: His father taught him to play the guitar, which he still does in his free time and when he has to present any exams for his music course.
DJing: He recently learned how to mix his own tracks and he took a liking to it. He even wants to present those and make little concerts singing to them.
Storytelling: Dan has always been a bit of a bookworm, which has helped him to tell stories and legends to children and others, even acting them.
The stage: Since the first concert he ever saw, Dan has loved the idea of being on stage and sing the songs he loves and writes.
Being by himself: Some people might say he likes being alone, yet it’s not that simple. He likes to think and to have conversations with himself when no one is nearby.
Handsome, muscular men: Dan is also gay as f**k. He loves the idea of cuddling with a masculine, protective man… specially to touch and feel his muscles and body.
Video games: His taste in video games go from RPGs to Survival Horror, like Silent Hill, Fire Emblem, Resident Evil…
Flaws:
Self-consciousness: Dan is very aware of his physical weakness, his shy behavior and not being as approachable as others, as well as his other shortcomings.
Anxiety: Dan gets very anxious and nervous when vocalizing his insecurities, wishes and opinions, which ends in hiding those words and feeling like they’re eating his body from the inside.
Low self-esteem: Dan doesn’t think very highly of himself, because of many traumatic events during his childhood and adolescence.
Overwhelmed in danger: Like his anxiety, Dan gets frozen or can’t think straight when he’s in danger and on his own.
Introvert: More than a flaw itself, it’s part of his conduct. He gets very tired when surrounded by people, but he recovers when alone and listening to music using his headphones.
Caring to a fault: Dan cares way too much for others, thinking he’s not as important as them, and getting screwed over by many people.
Fragile: Because of many traumas related to bullying, Dan has a lot of wounds and scars that haven’t healed completely, thus he tends to get emotional, crying or getting angry, a tad easy.
Not very athletic: Dan is not a sports person by any means. He can’t run fast, he can hardly lift 10% of his own weight, he can’t kick a ball…
Overthinking: Like every person with anxiety, Dan tends to overthink every single situation, usually the worst-case scenario.
Acrophobia: It’s not as intense as other people, but Dan gets a bit too tense when he sees the ground from a very high position, which makes it hard for him to use Bringer Light.
Habits:
Listening to music when alone or overwhelmed with emotions
Playing with his hair when thinking
Running when overwhelmed with people
Muttering lyrics from songs when listening music
Fears:
Deep darkness
Not being accepted by anyone
Sheer pain
Dying
Not being able to sing anymore
Being laughed at
Goals:
To have a band, where he is the vocalist
To stand in Budokan and sing in front of thousands
To become a “master sorcerer”
To transmit the feelings he experiments when he sings.
Alignment: Neutral Good
Overall Personality: Dan seems like a lonely person. He enjoys being alone, or with himself, rather than with others. He’s your typical introvert, but that doesn’t mean he hates the world or anything. He likes to hang out with others, but he finds it a tad difficult, especially since he gets worn out if he socializes for a long time. He stays quiet most of the time, but when the time comes for him to speak, he doesn’t hesitate (much) to say his piece. He’s caring and gentle, maybe to a fault, since he has a hard time establishing limits. You could say he wears his heart on his sleeve, a reason why he prefers to stay quiet, because he feels he could break at any second if there is a lot of pressure.
He seems to be somewhere in the autistic spectrum, having a bit of trouble of catching social cues and getting flustered a bit easy. If someone wants to be on his good side, they would have to be understanding and not try to push anything onto him, since that is a huge red flag for him. Offering him sweet, talking about music and making each other laugh is a good form of staying his friend. Although, to build trust with Dan, they need to be comprehensive and thoughtful, telling the truth, but always with tact and empathy.
However, a good way to get on his bad side is to be condescending towards him and his friends. He doesn't like to deal with bullies and manipulators. He has dealt with those people for a long time and he would rather not to be near them. He can't tolerate people who brag about stuff and don't have anything to back it up. He also hates queerphobes or people who don't mind their own business.
Dan hasn't fallen in love yet... but he is somewhat of a romantic. He is in love with the idea of being in love, imagining being with a muscular man who would hug him all day and all night long. He has a very naive vision of romantic relationships. When it comes to his flaws, Dan tends to bottle up his negative feelings too much, since he thinks he would be a nuisance. He gets distracted easily, he's not very social and he tends to overthink about every single little thing.

-History-
Birthplace: Sapporo, Hokkaido Island, Japan
Current Residence: Karakura Town, near the subway
Memorable Figures:
Father: He introduced him to his love of music
History:
Dan was born on January 6th in Sapporo, Hokkaido, with a music shop owner as a father and a lawyer as a mother, who was influenced by a Hollow’s spiritual pressure at some point of the pregnancy. As a result, Dan grew up with some malnutrition issues during his first childhood, which justifies in part his weak complexion. He wanted to have a lot more energy, like every kid his age. He wanted to run and play all he wanted, but never got the chance to.
One of his most important childhood memories was that his father took him to an outdoor music festival. It was quite overwhelming, very loud… and with a lot of people. However, there was this rock band made of young male adults that left him stunned. He can’t even remember the name of the band, but he knows that they were the ones who solidified his love for music… and also his homosexuality. That was also the day he asked his father how to play the guitar.
Since his mother’s work was pretty demanding, Dan couldn’t spend a lot of time with her, but the time she made for him, they spent it in making desserts and sweets, like cookies, puddings, cakes and muffins.
Dan was a bit spoiled during his childhood, which led to an infernal school life. He couldn’t defend himself from the shoving nor the insults. He could only hide everything behind a broken smile that turned into sobs and cries when alone. From a happy kid to a closed individual, protected by his fantasy world and music. The only times he could be happy were when he sang and played his guitar. In fact, the school library was the only place he went during recess. He passed his time reading books about various topics, like zoology, English learning, fairy tales of old… and also mythology. Especially Arthurian legends, with dragons, wizards, giants and the like. There was, in fact, a very old picture book in that library. So old it didn’t have a title. It wasn’t even registered properly. The librarian said that, since it didn’t have a title, and it was too old, they didn’t see a reason to register it. Dan looked into it with child-like wonder. It didn’t have any text, just a bunch of drawings of dragons, people… and green-haired beings. It told a story about a war between people with pale skins and the green-haired beings that, apparently, could transform into dragons. And also… a girl with green hair was in the center of the pages. He felt a connection to that girl. To the dragons as well… protecting the land, but also destroying it in the process… Dan… did something that wasn’t very nice… but didn’t regret it at all. Since the book wasn’t registered… he took it with him. He just stole it. He felt he had to.
When Dan went to middle school, the bullying just increased. Dan became a tad happier with that book, but that meant that those who bullied him went on and on to see him cry, since that was twistedly fun. He wanted them to go away… They went to the extent of following him home and throwing them everything they had. They even stopped him in his tracks to just punch him and insult him… when a Hollow attacked all of the sudden. Dan could only see a shadow of it, but he sensed something was off. It was like that street was part of a battlefield. While the other kids ran for their lives because of the invisible chaos ensuing, Dan tried to do so, but he was very hurt and with his survival instinct very low. He just wanted to let everything end right now and there. The Hollow even gave him a sharp slash with his hand. His soul was ready to be served. But before Dan had his soul gulped, he was saved by someone. He didn’t remember who… The only things he could recall from that day were that it was a man with a deep voice, wore a black outfit and had a sword, but nothing else. He passed out. When he woke up, it was sunset. His wounds were healed, but it would leave scars. His parents were very, very worried for him. They asked what happened, why he had such injuries… But he silently shook his head. That was it. Dan had to change schools. It was the only way. In fact, they helped him to look for a university outside of Hokkaido. He had to go to Kanto to keep studying in college. Dan decided to study music production, since he loved music from an early age. When he graduated high school, he moved to an apartment complex in the town of Karakura, where he could be near the university. It was hard, yet he was ready for the challenge. Also… he still wondered what happened that fateful day. And also… since that day, he felt something in his book. A deeper connection. He discovered he had powers… but didn’t know much about them. He had to find out.
