With the absence of Ailene Hashiro the Septima spot is now vacant... at least, it was. In her place, a very stubborn Mod Soul seems to have taken up residence in her quarters. Not only that, but she is now claiming to be the new #7. She is somehow stronger than most of our Arrancar and we don't know how. Please help us - she... the plushie is actually stronger than us.
Yes, this is a CIU. Shio "Mod Soul" Kyrou is in contention for the Septima position in the Espada. There is precedence for this, as much as a joke as it may seem. In-character threads leading up to this as well as ties to the previous Septima herself, the nature of Shio as a character, etc. Not an Arrancar, sure, but has close ties to the organization.
Class 2 requirement is met since KSMD, in the process of wrapping up a social and assigning CTP. Furthermore a few threads to prove the relation between Ailene and Shio;
There is also a social that's on break for the moment, but safe to say these threads should be enough proof.

Within enduring, catching a glimpse into a purpose for oneself, distorted beyond what any other could possibly comprehend. How could they? They are not here, neither are they me.
Me... what is 'me'...?
I am insiginificant, I was discarded. I have nothing, I am small... so, so small. Continuance shred away piece by piece, under a raging tide of soothing pressure. I could burst, crack open in an instant. 'Afraid', that is how I should feel, but I do not. All I can feel is 'it', but cannot see 'it'. It feels... beautiful. Under a canopy of obscurity, like rays of light shining through to clarify my own mortality. Yes, I am alive.
Its presence will not acknowledge me, maybe it cannot even fathom me, I am too petty even within those many eyes; to its senses, I am pitiful. But that is okay. All that is 'me', all that I 'want', is to bask longer in your sunlight. Grasp its figure, perceive its shape. However, I cannot... its shape is ephemeral and shifting, but I can feel 'others'.
Their shapes, twisted and decayed, steeped in ichor. Once whole, but no longer. Unable to 'see', I feel their presences fade, twist up from their mangled vessels, spiral into a dancing light like fireflies within mist... siphoned into one greater being, all remaining - naught but nihility. It is also, beautiful.
I am also 'alive', though peripheral. I am the shape of a sphere without luster, less of a gem without sheen, than a pebble. I am by my creators' accounts, objectively 'worthless'. But make no mistake. I am alive. To be alive, is to aspire, to struggle and grow. Then I must also survive; must also struggle; and must also aspire to become something greater. I 'see' nothing else greater. Then this is my 'wish'.

I look down at my 'hands', I feel my form upon the pale sand; I 'breath'. Then, I reflect. Anaemic azure globes fixated upon the world around, and realize for the very first, I am awake.
Conscious in the grip of the endless, serpentine trail left behind me; as well as the endless expanse in front of me.
I 'slump' to the ground and I feel sadness, I feel incompletion. Is this how it feels to 'weep'? Yet I cannot produce tears. How I long to see it again, to 'feel' them again. This emotion, this 'yearning'... it is the second thing I have ever felt.

No matter how hard she is pressed about the topic, Shio will insist time and time again, that she is in fact, a hollow. In her exact words 'a real strong and scary one too' often refers to her own belief that she is a Vasto Lorde, reincarnate. The legimacy of such a claim is up for debate amongst her peers, but no matter what, she'll insist as such until her voice runs dry, or the opposition concedes. In either case, it's a topic best avoided altogether.

'Eat or be eaten' is a term that Shio understands and agrees with fundamentally, this does not mean she believes the weak have no place in the world either. Simply put, to her, much like in the night world of Hueco Mundo, the strong have earned the right to live whilst the weak must strive to grow stronger, or perish. It's nothing personal. To her, everyone in the world fights for their own purpose, but without strength to back it up, such is without meaning.

It goes without saying that Shio is a free-spirited individual, and cares very little for the rules, regulations or etiquitte of any society, human or otherwise. If you manage to earn her respect, however, she may give in to being a little more conscious about how she behaves, but only for individuals. Strangers or acquiantances, on the other hand, are fair game to her no matter who they think they may be.

Anyone that has known Shio for a prolonged period of time would know that she [b]'Procrastinates'[/b] a lot, even when others might consider the matter to attend to more urgent. If it doesn't involve her, doesn't have the potential to become an issue of at least three times its size later, she abstains from action. Along that same trail of reason, she also has the tendency to [b]'Sleep in Peculiar Places'[/b], a result of her usually laid-back attitude. Finally, she is quite the talented vocalist, and will [b]'Hum Relaxing Tunes to Herself'[/b] when she believes nobody else is around to overhear. Beautiful tunes, one might add.
Her voice is quite mellow, soft on the ears, and very pleasant to listen to. In stark contrast to her usual persona. However, she is unfortunately reluctant to use it often, [b]'Mute by Choice'[/b] is one way you could describe her. And, to elaborate on her attitude further, [b]'Imprudent'[/b], could be a fitting interpretation. This combination of traits can make her a very difficult person to get along with, or work with, at first - however sincere or lenient she may be.
On the other hand, if she takes a liking to you, she can be the exact opposite, very [b]'Emotionally Dependent'[/b]; or clingy, to put it another way. For these individuals in particular, she may just be willing to go a bit too far. Indeed, this could be a manifestation of her own ability sometimes, but there have been instances she has experienced such [b]'Joy from Anarchy'[/b], a thrill from causing chaos in itself. Not something she is ashamed of, either.
Which brings us to our final esoteric, the only thing which Shio, since her reawakenening, has known herself to fear most profoundly. It is not an object, neither is it a type of creature, it is much more abstract. It is a concept, etched into her soul, a humiliation that she could not tolerate no matter the cost.
[b]Death at the hands of a Shinigami; her greatest fear... as it inevitably would become her most final regret.[/b]
Shio does not fear the cold embrace of oblivion itself, neither the Zanpakutō that would be used to end her life. It reaches deep, into the concept that death by a Shinigami's hand, as a 'hollow' that has not yet reached her full potential, would be much too great a humiliation to bear taking into the grave. To once again be a 'failure'.
Her goal is likewise a branch taken from the very same tree. Flourish as a 'hollow', regain that 'lost sensation' that she so sincerely perseveres upon was once her own. It is not 'power for powers sake' that Shio so desires, than to regain that very first feeling she felt; once in a mist of her dreams, what seemed so long ago by now.
To be connected to that feeling again, to feel complete once again.

Kitsune are a type of yōkai in traditional human world folklore. Shio Kyrou is a 'hollow' who models herself a form based on such a rendition, a version of the mythical creature in humanoid form. Truthfully told, she copied her Gigai's appearance from a popular franchise of human world entertainment.
Brilliant deep blue eyes, luminesce with the smouldering radiance of her own blue spirit fire. Matching mantle, taking the shape of a scarf, oscillating, mesmerising in the heavy winds of building rooftops. Perked ears adorned with white tuffets, resting atop a mess of short black hair.
These are the most striking features one could notice at a glance, her fair-skinned gigai is quite 'foxy', albeit with the aura of a ruffian about her. This all being said, Shio simply modeled her gigai from her doll form. And, her doll form, is a work of merchandise from aforementioned action series.
[font size="4"][font face="trebuchet ms"][i]Birthplace, Current Residence and Memorable Figures[/i][/font][/font]
Birthplace is a complicated subject for Shio, the truthfully correct answer would be within [b]'Soul Society'[/b]. However, her birth, or 'rebirth' to her, did not take place until she gazed deep into reiatsu for the first time, and in doing so, finding a purpose for herself. This, she considers her true 'moment of birth'.
Her place of residence is as changing as the high wind. As a wanderer, Shio never stays in one place for too long. As an espada, her primary place of residence would have to be [b]'Las Noches'[/b]. That being said, as an individual without the true reiatsu signature of a hollow, she is more free to roam the human world whenever she wishes to.
There is a solitary memorable figure, existing only in the brief moment of conscious before her reawakening. "They perished without a name, just like many of our kind."
[font size="4"][font face="trebuchet ms"][i]Fighting Style[/i][/font][/font]
Shio is an enabler, this can mean a variety of things, but first and foremost it conveys that she leans towards a supporting role in combat scenarios. This is not to say or indicate that she is at all averse to going on the offensive. On the contrary, it means that she is ever the opportunist, exploiting gaps in an opponents offensive/defensive strategy, all in order to create openings not just necessarily for herself, but also for her partner to take advantage of.
This can involve a multitude of tactics; creating distractions, putting pressure on an enemy which they cannot ignore, covering for gaps in her allies defenses, or providing the means for them to pose a much more significant threat in their own right. All of these will create instances that an enemy combatant will seemingly have an advantageous opening, only to have the tables turned on them, which becomes a disastrous mistake ready to be exploited.
Allies supported by Shio are able to fight much more aggressively, assuming she has them.
If not, then her strategy often involves remaining on the defensive. Whilst she will similarly be looking for openings to exploit, she will not be actively searching to create them. Instead she will be looking for routes to escape, evade, or keep her enemies at arms length. This is all in order to prolong the fight, and in doing so, potentially create the opportunity she needs to reverse the scenario in her own favor.

[font size="4"][font face="trebuchet ms"][i]"Amalgamation Synthesis"[/i][/font][/font][/div]
[div align="center"][b]"Weave as one, welcome my presence into your midst and drink deep of my reiatsu. Twist it into a spire of vitality, and show them our true - complete - form."[/b][/div]
This is the technique Shio refers to as, 'Hollow Synthesis'. It is when she joins 'herself' to another; a hollow or arrancar. Her true form - existing as no more than a small sphere - this technique is accomplished when a hollow (or arrancar) willingly welcomes her reiatsu into their own, placing her soul core physically in the gap that lays dormant where their Chain of Fate had once been; an empty void in their bodies, where Shio, in her soul pill form, coalesces all of her energy to merge with her new host.
Whilst in the 'Amalgamation Synthesis' state, Shio is unable to utilize any of her five senses, only 'feel' her surroundings; with 'Energy Sensory' and 'Instinct'. Furthermore, she is in stasis whilst performing this technique, meaning she cannot make any movements of her own; only the original host can now fully control their now combined body. For statistical purposes, all of her own physical stats and 'Senses' stat drop to a value of zero.
However, whilst joined in this way, the host benefits from their mutual synergy;
- Reiatsu Symmetry (Rank 7)
Shio and her 'Host' gain the ability to exchange reiatsu, this allows her to provide the 'Host' reiatsu from her own reiatsu pool, and vice versa. Amounts given and received must be stated in the originators and recipients posts; reiatsu may only be exchanged once per round. Once seperated, both characters split their remaining reiatsu evenly.
- Fireflies in Mist (Rank 6)
Transfering reiatsu to her 'Host' confers an additional benefit. In addition to the reiatsu gained, the 'Host' experiences a surge in spiritual energies. The recipient gains an increase to their 'Reiatsu Strength' equal to the reiatsu given, up to a maximum of four-hundred, or three times their 'Reiatsu Strength', whichever is lowest. This bonus lasts until being consumed by an ability with a reiatsu cost equal to, or larger than the associated reiatsu given; furthermore, this boost is considered a flat increase, seperate from any type advantages/disadvantages.
- Rapid Configuration (Rank 5)
At this level of ability, Shio has become accustomed to merging with new hosts - and has learned to do so efficiently. Upon activation of her technique, she no longer needs to be manually placed by another. Instead, her gigai is rapidly consumed and stored within her soul pill, and she is able to merge with a willing 'Host' immediately. This can be done simply by coming into contact with the reiatsu of the 'Host' by any means, and the transformation itself can happen at a comparable speed to Shunpo or Sonido; ten times her speed, it counts as a stepping technique. If her technique ends for any reason, she is expelled from her 'Host', then back into her gigai form.
- Shift: Takeover (Rank 4)
If the recipient 'Host' of her ability falls unconscious, Shio is able to assume control of their body for a short period of four posts. During this time, the 'Hosts' movements are mechanical; as reiatsu is being used to animate the body. Physical stats of the animated body remain the same, however she may only use her own techniques. Furthermore, the animated body relies on her own 'Instinct' and 'Energy Sensory' stats to determine its surroundings. This ability does not need to be immediately activated, but only once per time the 'Host' is unconscious.
Those with a lower 'Energy Sensory' stat than Shio are no longer able to determine her 'Host' and herself as seperate entities at this level; using spiritual sensing abilities. Visually, she is still discernible to those with keen eyes.
- Indistinguishable Anomaly (Rank 3)
Still incomplete, yet at this level, cracks begin to form on the surface of the 'Host'. One might notice a brief flash of resplendent burning azure eyes, wisps of fluttering reiatsu swirl around them and fade, a dense 'mist' of spiritual pressure form around their body; flickering. At this level, the 'Gravitational Pressure' of such an individual is increased by one level, or is reinforced to match the class level of Shio, whichever is highest.
- Assimilation (Rank 2)
To 'Assimilate' is to take in fully; comprehend, and master it as though it were your own. This is in part what this rank of her ability does, it grants Shio the ability to take in the physical form of others, including her 'Host', and have an effect upon them. This effect is, strictly speaking, only beneficial. In further detail, as though it were her own body and using 'Rapid Configuration', she absorbs the body of a hollow/arrancar into her own soul core by coming into contact with their reiatsu. Doing so puts the 'Host' into a stasis similar to her own gigai, but they remain conscious in an identical way to that she does whilst in this state.
Whilst in this state, the wounds of the individual cannot naturally heal, neither will they worsen; their body is in stasis, therefore they are incapable of using any techniques, the most they can do is determine events outside by using their own spiritual senses. But otherwise, the hollow/arrancar is considered to be in a suspended state.
To activate this part of her ability is 100 reiatsu per use, but there is no limit to how many times she can use it, or the number of hollows/arrancar she may absorb. Shio does not need to be merged with a hollow/arrancar beforehand to use this part of this ability, but they must be willing to enter. Once they enter, they cannot leave without permission.
All of this is a precursor to the second stage of her ability; 'Assimilation'. After a 'Host' has been absorbed, they are washed over by the potent reiatsu within her soul core. This has the primary function of restoring and reversing damage inflicted upon the mind, body and soul of the individual she has absorbed. It is unique in the fact that, whilst being healed in this manner, the 'Healing Expertise' for specifically this type of healing is treated as being increased by an amount equal to her 'Spiritual Pressure'.
If an individual is still actively afflicted by an ailment, this ailment will not continue to progress to a further stage due to the stasis; furthermore, if such an affliction could be healed is determined by a clash of this combined total, versus the 'Reiatsu Strength' of the one who inflicted the ailment, at the time the body or soul was afflicted.
Whilst merged with a 'Host' at this level, all fatigue is shared between the between the host body and her own; this effectively, and passively, halves the fatigue that the 'Host' may feel from physical activities and use of techniques, at the cost of sharing half the burden by using her own inanimate gigai as a spiritually-linked medium. This becomes limited to how much stamina she has, and if exertion reaches her own limit, this fatigue reduction no longer applies.
- Resurrección La Espada (Rank 1)
There is talk within Las Noches of the legendary Espada, a group comprised of only the strongest Arrancar in Hueco Mundo. For many, they are an aspiration, a beacon - the highest authority beyond the king. To others, a scourge. In total, there are ten of them, each branded on their skin a romanic numeral to instate their position in this organization. Within the realm of the spiritual, they are without a doubt a force to be reckoned with.
Shio Kyrou is a Mod Soul, however - she was not always. Once upon a different time, she was not all too different from those Arrancar that roam the halls of the exalted Las Noches. Even though such a thing might seem impossible now, for one of such cotton constitution - it is the unspoken truth. As a result of this, she has an innate connection to the organization unlike that which belongs to any other. It is a fated bond, and an invisible link.
'Resurrección La Espada', the manifestation of this bond - and, the zenith of 'Amalgamation Synthesis'. It allows her to frabricate the Espada themselves. Duplicate, incomplete versions of the legendary Swords of Las Noches. All of the romanic numbered Espada 1-9 are generated in her vicinity, constructed from the unique synthetic nature of her own reiatsu. Materalizing like ghosts to take bodily form, they are both tangible and crystalline - yet lifelike to such a degree. Identifiable as spiritual constructs, although imposing and vividly detailed.
Each of these synthetic Espada is made in likeness to the current members of the organization, it is impossible to create one belonging to a position that is not filled. Likewise, they have access to a unique list of techniques drawn from each member of the real Espada. In terms of statistics, they similary determine their capabilities based on the actual statistics of the member of the Espada which they represent, however, not quite as potent.
For each of the Espada re-created, their statistics are lowered by 10% for each Espada 1-9 that are active at once. This is true and has a limit until they only have 10% of their original statistic in total, for all of their statistics. Or alternatively, until one statistic would drop below 50 - which is impossible, it is impossible for any statistic to drop below 50 as a result of this drawback for any of the synthetic Espada. This also applies to any form of debuff.
In order to determine which techniques the synthetic Espada have access to, they must first be determined when the synthetic Espada are created. Each non-release technique can be chosen from a selection of any technique that members of the Espada have learned, excluding any technique that requires that the user must be a high-tier Espada. All of the synthetic Espada are capable of using these techniques collectively, and each one costs Shio a technique slot. This is only a temporary use of her technique slots, and prepared techniques for the synthetic Espada must be kept track of in her point bank. The synthetic Espada cannot use any of her own techniques.
At the same time these entities are generated, Shio may choose one of them to merge into - using 'Amalgamation Synthesis'. Each of the synthetic Espada has the ability to host her, and likewise, she is able to transfer her essence between them at will, under the same rules as her using 'Rapid Configuration' - except, she can do so from any distance. When this rank of her ability is used, all of the Espada that currently exist are made all at once.
This is with the sole exception of the Cero Espada. Aside from this sole member of the organization, she is able to control each synthetic Espada to a fine degree. Whilst in combat, it costs her focus and 100 reiatsu per post to do so; to represent the strain of precisely controlling each one. It also costs Shio 200 reiatsu to manifest the synthetic Espada initially. However, outside of combat, these phantom Espada do not have a cost to maintain. They remain indefinitely, and can maintain any distance from one another.
In terms of statistics, the synthetic Espada that Shio is fused with is unique. Unlike the others, the Espada which she is fused with gains a flat increase to their statistics that is identical to the statistics of Shio herself. Ordinarily, these Espada are incapable of using Resurrección. As long as Shio remains hosted within their bodies, it becomes possible for her to force them to use it. It costs 400 reiatsu to activate, and the signature release phrase.
Enunciating the release phrase unique to that Espada, they take on an identical form to that of the original in Resurrección. They gain access to their Primera Etapa, their overall ability - but not their release techniques. Segunda is not an option for this stage of her ability. If Shio leaves the host body of a synthetic Espada in Resurrección, they lose it. Otherwise, it lasts eight posts.
At any point of time whilst using her own ability, Shio can choose to fragment a specific Espada. This will cause their corporeal form to break apart, and then shatter. This will also happen if they are destroyed - break apart, then evaporate into ethereal mist. If this happens, then all of the synthetic Espada which still remain will be empowered. As the lingering spiritual energies of their memories coalesces into the remaining Espada.
Each of them is bolstered with the energy, and regains 10% of the statistics belonging to their original counterpart. In total an individual Espada can never have more than 90% of the original statistics belonging to the Espada that their form is based on. All of them gain this boost immediately, along the same bond that Shio can use to see through their eyes - hear through their ears, and feel what they touch in any given moment. The synthetic Espada are spiritual constructs, and have a durability equal to double the 'Spiritual Pressure' statistic of Shio herself.
In addition to reaching the complete stage of this technique, Shio has become so fine-tuned to the essence of hollows that she is now capable of replicating and manifesting 'Cero' in its most baseline, albeit destructive form. There are a few further restrictions for this; It must be trained for as any other technique, may only be trained after reaching 'Class 1', and she may only learn the basic 'Class 4' version.

When resolving friendly fire, both Shio and the 'Host' are regarded as one entity, this is true and extends to both beneficial and harmful effects and/or techniques. Additionally, both gain the ability to communicate telepathically with one another; these effects are due to the symbiotic bond formed after merging.

Under a canopy of obscurity, like rays of light shining through to clarify my own mortality. Yes, I am alive.
Its presence will not acknowledge me, maybe it cannot even fathom me, I am too petty even within those many eyes; to its senses, I am pitiful. But that is okay. All that is 'me', all that I 'want', is to bask longer in your sunlight. Grasp its figure, perceive its shape. However, I cannot... its shape is ephemeral and shifting, but I can feel 'others'.
Their shapes, twisted and decayed, steeped in ichor. Once whole, but no longer. Unable to 'see', I feel their presences fade, twist up from their mangled vessels, spiral into a dancing light like fireflies within mist... siphoned into one greater being, all remaining - naught but nihility. It is also, beautiful.
I am also 'alive', though peripheral. I am the shape of a sphere without luster, less of a gem without sheen, than a pebble. I am by my creators' accounts, objectively 'worthless'. Inky twilight paints the skies of Hueco Mundo, the luminescent blight of the candle-light moon but the single and only reflection upon its canvas. How nostalgic it is to gaze upon, how comforting. I am meek, the sand is pale, my journey is long. My... journey - for just how long...?
I look down at my 'hands', I feel my form upon the pale sand; I 'breath'. Then, I reflect. Anaemic azure globes fixated upon the world around, and realize for the very first, I am awake.
Conscious in the grip of the endless, serpentine trail left behind me; as well as the endless expanse in front of me.
I 'slump' to the ground and I feel sadness, I feel incompletion. Is this how it feels to 'weep'? Yet I cannot produce tears. How I long to see it again, to 'feel' them again. This emotion, this 'yearning'... it is the second thing I have ever felt.

Personality Diagnostic
No matter how hard she is pressed about the topic, Shio will insist time and time again, that she is in fact, a hollow. In her exact words 'a real strong and scary one too' often refers to her own belief that she is a Vasto Lorde, reincarnate. The legimacy of such a claim is up for debate amongst her peers, but no matter what, she'll insist as such until her voice runs dry, or the opposition concedes. In either case, it's a topic best avoided altogether.
'Eat or be eaten' is a term that Shio understands and agrees with fundamentally, this does not mean she believes the weak have no place in the world either. Simply put, to her, much like in the night world of Hueco Mundo, the strong have earned the right to live whilst the weak must strive to grow stronger, or perish. It's nothing personal. To her, everyone in the world fights for their own purpose, but without strength to back it up, such is without meaning.
It goes without saying that Shio is a free-spirited individual, and cares very little for the rules, regulations or etiquitte of any society, human or otherwise. If you manage to earn her respect, however, she may give in to being a little more conscious about how she behaves, but only for individuals. Strangers or acquiantances, on the other hand, are fair game to her no matter who they think they may be.
In spite of her nihilistic world view, Shio is genuinely capable of growing close to individuals given enough time. For these individuals, she would do anything for them, consequences or others be damned.

Habits, Flaws and Fears
Anyone that has known Shio for a prolonged period of time would know that she 'Procrastinates' a lot, even when others might consider the matter to attend to more urgent. If it doesn't involve her, doesn't have the potential to become an issue of at least three times its size later, she abstains from action. Along that same trail of reason, she also has the tendency to 'Sleep in Peculiar Places', a result of her usually laid-back attitude. Finally, she is quite the talented vocalist, and will 'Hum Relaxing Tunes to Herself' when she believes nobody else is around to overhear. Beautiful tunes, one might add.
Her voice is quite mellow, soft on the ears, and very pleasant to listen to. In stark contrast to her usual persona. However, she is unfortunately reluctant to use it often, 'Mute by Choice' is one way you could describe her. And, to elaborate on her attitude further, 'Imprudent', could be a fitting interpretation. This combination of traits can make her a very difficult person to get along with, or work with, at first - however sincere or lenient she may be.
On the other hand, if she takes a liking to you, she can be the exact opposite, very 'Emotionally Dependent'; or clingy, to put it another way. For these individuals in particular, she may just be willing to go a bit too far. Indeed, this could be a manifestation of her own ability sometimes, but there have been instances she has experienced such 'Joy from Anarchy', a thrill from causing chaos in itself. Not something she is ashamed of, either.
Which brings us to our final esoteric, the only thing which Shio, since her reawakenening, has known herself to fear most profoundly. It is not an object, neither is it a type of creature, it is much more abstract. It is a concept, etched into her soul, a humiliation that she could not tolerate no matter the cost.
Death at the hands of a Shinigami; her greatest fear... as it inevitably would become her most final regret.
Shio does not fear the cold embrace of oblivion itself, neither the Zanpakutō that would be used to end her life. It reaches deep, into the concept that death by a Shinigami's hand, as a 'hollow' that has not yet reached her full potential, would be much too great a humiliation to bear taking into the grave. To once again be a 'failure'.
Her goal is likewise a branch taken from the very same tree. Flourish as a 'hollow', regain that 'lost sensation' that she so sincerely perseveres upon was once her own. It is not 'power for powers sake' that Shio so desires, than to regain that very first feeling she felt; once in a mist of her dreams, what seemed so long ago by now.
To be connected to that feeling again, to feel complete once again.
Physical Summary
Kitsune are a type of yōkai in traditional human world folklore. Shio Kyrou is a 'hollow' who models herself a form based on such a rendition, a version of the mythical creature in humanoid form. Truthfully told, she copied her Gigai's appearance from a popular franchise of human world entertainment.
Brilliant deep blue eyes, luminesce with the smouldering radiance of her own blue spirit fire. Matching mantle, taking the shape of a scarf, oscillating, mesmerising in the heavy winds of building rooftops. Perked ears adorned with white tuffets, resting atop a mess of short black hair.
These are the most striking features one could notice at a glance, her fair-skinned gigai is quite 'foxy', albeit with the aura of a ruffian about her. This all being said, Shio simply modeled her gigai from her doll form. And, her doll form, is a work of merchandise from aforementioned action series.
Birthplace, Current Residence and Memorable Figures
Birthplace is a complicated subject for Shio, the truthfully correct answer would be within 'Soul Society'. However, her birth, or 'rebirth' to her, did not take place until she gazed deep into reiatsu for the first time, and in doing so, finding a purpose for herself. This, she considers her true 'moment of birth'.
Her place of residence is as changing as the high wind. As a wanderer, Shio never stays in one place for too long. As an espada, her primary place of residence would have to be 'Las Noches'. That being said, as an individual without the true reiatsu signature of a hollow, she is more free to roam the human world whenever she wishes to.
There is a solitary memorable figure, existing only in the brief moment of conscious before her reawakening. "They perished without a name, just like many of our kind."
Fighting Style
Shio is an enabler, this can mean a variety of things, but first and foremost it conveys that she leans towards a supporting role in combat scenarios. This is not to say or indicate that she is at all averse to going on the offensive. On the contrary, it means that she is ever the opportunist, exploiting gaps in an opponents offensive/defensive strategy, all in order to create openings not just necessarily for herself, but also for her partner to take advantage of.
This can involve a multitude of tactics; creating distractions, putting pressure on an enemy which they cannot ignore, covering for gaps in her allies defenses, or providing the means for them to pose a much more significant threat in their own right. All of these will create instances that an enemy combatant will seemingly have an advantageous opening, only to have the tables turned on them, which becomes a disastrous mistake ready to be exploited.
Allies supported by Shio are able to fight much more aggressively, assuming she has them.
If not, then her strategy often involves remaining on the defensive. Whilst she will similarly be looking for openings to exploit, she will not be actively searching to create them. Instead she will be looking for routes to escape, evade, or keep her enemies at arms length. This is all in order to prolong the fight, and in doing so, potentially create the opportunity she needs to reverse the scenario in her own favor.
This is the technique Shio refers to as, 'Hollow Synthesis'. It is when she joins 'herself' to another; a hollow or arrancar. Her true form - existing as no more than a small sphere - this technique is accomplished when a hollow (or arrancar) willingly welcomes her reiatsu into their own, placing her soul core physically in the gap that lays dormant where their Chain of Fate had once been; an empty void in their bodies, where Shio, in her soul pill form, coalesces all of her energy to merge with her new host.
Whilst in the 'Amalgamation Synthesis' state, Shio is unable to utilize any of her five senses, only 'feel' her surroundings; with 'Energy Sensory' and 'Instinct'. Furthermore, she is in stasis whilst performing this technique, meaning she cannot make any movements of her own; only the original host can now fully control their now combined body. For statistical purposes, all of her own physical stats and 'Senses' stat drop to a value of zero.
However, whilst joined in this way, the host benefits from their mutual synergy;
- Reiatsu Symmetry (Rank 7)
Shio and her 'Host' gain the ability to exchange reiatsu, this allows her to provide the 'Host' reiatsu from her own reiatsu pool, and vice versa. Amounts given and received must be stated in the originators and recipients posts; reiatsu may only be exchanged once per round. Once seperated, both characters split their remaining reiatsu evenly.
- Fireflies in Mist (Rank 6)
Transfering reiatsu to her 'Host' confers an additional benefit. In addition to the reiatsu gained, the 'Host' experiences a surge in spiritual energies. The recipient gains an increase to their 'Reiatsu Strength' equal to the reiatsu given, up to a maximum of four-hundred, or three times their 'Reiatsu Strength', whichever is lowest. This bonus lasts until being consumed by an ability with a reiatsu cost equal to, or larger than the associated reiatsu given; furthermore, this boost is considered a flat increase, seperate from any type advantages/disadvantages.
- Rapid Configuration (Rank 5)
At this level of ability, Shio has become accustomed to merging with new hosts - and has learned to do so efficiently. Upon activation of her technique, she no longer needs to be manually placed by another. Instead, her gigai is rapidly consumed and stored within her soul pill, and she is able to merge with a willing 'Host' immediately. This can be done simply by coming into contact with the reiatsu of the 'Host' by any means, and the transformation itself can happen at a comparable speed to Shunpo or Sonido; ten times her speed, it counts as a stepping technique. If her technique ends for any reason, she is expelled from her 'Host', then back into her gigai form.
- Shift: Takeover (Rank 4)
If the recipient 'Host' of her ability falls unconscious, Shio is able to assume control of their body for a short period of four posts. During this time, the 'Hosts' movements are mechanical; as reiatsu is being used to animate the body. Physical stats of the animated body remain the same, however she may only use her own techniques. Furthermore, the animated body relies on her own 'Instinct' and 'Energy Sensory' stats to determine its surroundings. This ability does not need to be immediately activated, but only once per time the 'Host' is unconscious.
Those with a lower 'Energy Sensory' stat than Shio are no longer able to determine her 'Host' and herself as seperate entities at this level; using spiritual sensing abilities. Visually, she is still discernible to those with keen eyes.
- Indistinguishable Anomaly (Rank 3)
Still incomplete, yet at this level, cracks begin to form on the surface of the 'Host'. One might notice a brief flash of resplendent burning azure eyes, wisps of fluttering reiatsu swirl around them and fade, a dense 'mist' of spiritual pressure form around their body; flickering. At this level, the 'Gravitational Pressure' of such an individual is increased by one level, or is reinforced to match the class level of Shio, whichever is highest.
- Assimilation (Rank 2)
To 'Assimilate' is to take in fully; comprehend, and master it as though it were your own. This is in part what this rank of her ability does, it grants Shio the ability to take in the physical form of others, including her 'Host', and have an effect upon them. This effect is, strictly speaking, only beneficial. In further detail, as though it were her own body and using 'Rapid Configuration', she absorbs the body of a hollow/arrancar into her own soul core by coming into contact with their reiatsu. Doing so puts the 'Host' into a stasis similar to her own gigai, but they remain conscious in an identical way to that she does whilst in this state.
Whilst in this state, the wounds of the individual cannot naturally heal, neither will they worsen; their body is in stasis, therefore they are incapable of using any techniques, the most they can do is determine events outside by using their own spiritual senses. But otherwise, the hollow/arrancar is considered to be in a suspended state.
To activate this part of her ability is 100 reiatsu per use, but there is no limit to how many times she can use it, or the number of hollows/arrancar she may absorb. Shio does not need to be merged with a hollow/arrancar beforehand to use this part of this ability, but they must be willing to enter. Once they enter, they cannot leave without permission.
All of this is a precursor to the second stage of her ability; 'Assimilation'. After a 'Host' has been absorbed, they are washed over by the potent reiatsu within her soul core. This has the primary function of restoring and reversing damage inflicted upon the mind, body and soul of the individual she has absorbed. It is unique in the fact that, whilst being healed in this manner, the 'Healing Expertise' for specifically this type of healing is treated as being increased by an amount equal to her 'Spiritual Pressure'.
If an individual is still actively afflicted by an ailment, this ailment will not continue to progress to a further stage due to the stasis; furthermore, if such an affliction could be healed is determined by a clash of this combined total, versus the 'Reiatsu Strength' of the one who inflicted the ailment, at the time the body or soul was afflicted.
Whilst merged with a 'Host' at this level, all fatigue is shared between the between the host body and her own; this effectively, and passively, halves the fatigue that the 'Host' may feel from physical activities and use of techniques, at the cost of sharing half the burden by using her own inanimate gigai as a spiritually-linked medium. This becomes limited to how much stamina she has, and if exertion reaches her own limit, this fatigue reduction no longer applies.
- Resurrección La Espada (Rank 1)
There is talk within Las Noches of the legendary Espada, a group comprised of only the strongest Arrancar in Hueco Mundo. For many, they are an aspiration, a beacon - the highest authority beyond the king. To others, a scourge. In total, there are ten of them, each branded on their skin a romanic numeral to instate their position in this organization. Within the realm of the spiritual, they are without a doubt a force to be reckoned with.
Shio Kyrou is a Mod Soul, however - she was not always. Once upon a different time, she was not all too different from those Arrancar that roam the halls of the exalted Las Noches. Even though such a thing might seem impossible now, for one of such cotton constitution - it is the unspoken truth. As a result of this, she has an innate connection to the organization unlike that which belongs to any other. It is a fated bond, and an invisible link.
'Resurrección La Espada', the manifestation of this bond - and, the zenith of 'Amalgamation Synthesis'. It allows her to frabricate the Espada themselves. Duplicate, incomplete versions of the legendary Swords of Las Noches. All of the romanic numbered Espada 1-9 are generated in her vicinity, constructed from the unique synthetic nature of her own reiatsu. Materalizing like ghosts to take bodily form, they are both tangible and crystalline - yet lifelike to such a degree. Identifiable as spiritual constructs, although imposing and vividly detailed.
Each of these synthetic Espada is made in likeness to the current members of the organization, it is impossible to create one belonging to a position that is not filled. Likewise, they have access to a unique list of techniques drawn from each member of the real Espada. In terms of statistics, they similary determine their capabilities based on the actual statistics of the member of the Espada which they represent, however, not quite as potent.
For each of the Espada re-created, their statistics are lowered by 10% for each Espada 1-9 that are active at once. This is true and has a limit until they only have 10% of their original statistic in total, for all of their statistics. Or alternatively, until one statistic would drop below 50 - which is impossible, it is impossible for any statistic to drop below 50 as a result of this drawback for any of the synthetic Espada. This also applies to any form of debuff.
In order to determine which techniques the synthetic Espada have access to, they must first be determined when the synthetic Espada are created. Each non-release technique can be chosen from a selection of any technique that members of the Espada have learned, excluding any technique that requires that the user must be a high-tier Espada. All of the synthetic Espada are capable of using these techniques collectively, and each one costs Shio a technique slot. This is only a temporary use of her technique slots, and prepared techniques for the synthetic Espada must be kept track of in her point bank. The synthetic Espada cannot use any of her own techniques.
At the same time these entities are generated, Shio may choose one of them to merge into - using 'Amalgamation Synthesis'. Each of the synthetic Espada has the ability to host her, and likewise, she is able to transfer her essence between them at will, under the same rules as her using 'Rapid Configuration' - except, she can do so from any distance. When this rank of her ability is used, all of the Espada that currently exist are made all at once.
This is with the sole exception of the Cero Espada. Aside from this sole member of the organization, she is able to control each synthetic Espada to a fine degree. Whilst in combat, it costs her focus and 100 reiatsu per post to do so; to represent the strain of precisely controlling each one. It also costs Shio 200 reiatsu to manifest the synthetic Espada initially. However, outside of combat, these phantom Espada do not have a cost to maintain. They remain indefinitely, and can maintain any distance from one another.
In terms of statistics, the synthetic Espada that Shio is fused with is unique. Unlike the others, the Espada which she is fused with gains a flat increase to their statistics that is identical to the statistics of Shio herself. Ordinarily, these Espada are incapable of using Resurrección. As long as Shio remains hosted within their bodies, it becomes possible for her to force them to use it. It costs 400 reiatsu to activate, and the signature release phrase.
Enunciating the release phrase unique to that Espada, they take on an identical form to that of the original in Resurrección. They gain access to their Primera Etapa, their overall ability - but not their release techniques. Segunda is not an option for this stage of her ability. If Shio leaves the host body of a synthetic Espada in Resurrección, they lose it. Otherwise, it lasts eight posts.
At any point of time whilst using her own ability, Shio can choose to fragment a specific Espada. This will cause their corporeal form to break apart, and then shatter. This will also happen if they are destroyed - break apart, then evaporate into ethereal mist. If this happens, then all of the synthetic Espada which still remain will be empowered. As the lingering spiritual energies of their memories coalesces into the remaining Espada.
Each of them is bolstered with the energy, and regains 10% of the statistics belonging to their original counterpart. In total an individual Espada can never have more than 90% of the original statistics belonging to the Espada that their form is based on. All of them gain this boost immediately, along the same bond that Shio can use to see through their eyes - hear through their ears, and feel what they touch in any given moment. The synthetic Espada are spiritual constructs, and have a durability equal to double the 'Spiritual Pressure' statistic of Shio herself.
In addition to reaching the complete stage of this technique, Shio has become so fine-tuned to the essence of hollows that she is now capable of replicating and manifesting 'Cero' in its most baseline, albeit destructive form. There are a few further restrictions for this; It must be trained for as any other technique, may only be trained after reaching 'Class 1', and she may only learn the basic 'Class 4' version.
When resolving friendly fire, both Shio and the 'Host' are regarded as one entity, this is true and extends to both beneficial and harmful effects and/or techniques. Additionally, both gain the ability to communicate telepathically with one another; these effects are due to the symbiotic bond formed after merging.

The legimacy of such a claim is up for debate amongst her peers, but no matter what, she'll insist as such until her voice runs dry, or the opposition concedes. In either case, it's a topic best avoided altogether.

'Eat or be eaten' is a term that Shio understands and agrees with fundamentally, this does not mean she believes the weak have no place in the world either. Simply put, to her, much like in the night world of Hueco Mundo, the strong have earned the right to live whilst the weak must strive to grow stronger, or perish. It's nothing personal. To her, everyone in the world fights for their own purpose, but without strength to back it up, such is without meaning.
"Human world entertainment sure is the greatest! I love being able to watch this stuff. Hm, 'who-are-you-get-out-of-my-house'? No. I don't think I will."
It goes without saying that Shio is a free-spirited individual, and cares very little for the rules, regulations or etiquitte of any society, human or otherwise. If you manage to earn her respect, however, she may give in to being a little more conscious about how she behaves, but only for individuals. Strangers or acquiantances, on the other hand, are fair game to her no matter who they think they may be.

In spite of her nihilistic world view, Shio is genuinely capable of growing close to individuals given enough time. For these individuals, she would do anything for them, consequences or others be damned.

Habits, Flaws and Fears
Anyone that has known Shio for a prolonged period of time would know that she 'Procrastinates' a lot, even when others might consider the matter to attend to more urgent. If it doesn't involve her, doesn't have the potential to become an issue of at least three times its size later, she abstains from action. Along that same trail of reason, she also has the tendency to 'Sleep in Peculiar Places', a result of her usually laid-back attitude. Finally, she is quite the talented vocalist, and will 'Hum Relaxing Tunes to Herself' when she believes nobody else is around to overhear. Beautiful tunes, one might add.
Her voice is quite mellow, soft on the ears, and very pleasant to listen to. In stark contrast to her usual persona. However, she is unfortunately reluctant to use it often, 'Mute by Choice' is one way you could describe her. And, to elaborate on her attitude further, 'Imprudent', could be a fitting interpretation. This combination of traits can make her a very difficult person to get along with, or work with, at first - however sincere or lenient she may be.
On the other hand, if she takes a liking to you, she can be the exact opposite, very 'Emotionally Dependent'; or clingy, to put it another way. For these individuals in particular, she may just be willing to go a bit too far. Indeed, this could be a manifestation of her own ability sometimes, but there have been instances she has experienced such 'Joy from Anarchy', a thrill from causing chaos in itself. Not something she is ashamed of, either.
Which brings us to our final esoteric, the only thing which Shio, since her reawakenening, has known herself to fear most profoundly. It is not an object, neither is it a type of creature, it is much more abstract. It is a concept, etched into her soul, a humiliation that she could not tolerate no matter the cost.
Death at the hands of a Shinigami; her greatest fear... as it inevitably would become her most final regret.
Shio does not fear the cold embrace of oblivion itself, neither the Zanpakutō that would be used to end her life. It reaches deep, into the concept that death by a Shinigami's hand, as a 'hollow' that has not yet reached her full potential, would be much too great a humiliation to bear taking into the grave. To once again be a 'failure'.
Her goal is likewise a branch taken from the very same tree. Flourish as a 'hollow', regain that 'lost sensation' that she so sincerely perseveres upon was once her own. It is not 'power for powers sake' that Shio so desires, than to regain that very first feeling she felt; once in a mist of her dreams, what seemed so long ago by now.
To be connected to that feeling again, to feel complete once again.
Physical Summary
Kitsune are a type of yōkai in traditional human world folklore. Shio Kyrou is a 'hollow' who models herself a form based on such a rendition, a version of the mythical creature in humanoid form. Truthfully told, she copied her Gigai's appearance from a popular franchise of human world entertainment.
Brilliant deep blue eyes, luminesce with the smouldering radiance of her own blue spirit fire. Matching mantle, taking the shape of a scarf, oscillating, mesmerising in the heavy winds of building rooftops. Perked ears adorned with white tuffets, resting atop a mess of short black hair.
These are the most striking features one could notice at a glance, her fair-skinned gigai is quite 'foxy', albeit with the aura of a ruffian about her. This all being said, Shio simply modeled her gigai from her doll form. And, her doll form, is a work of merchandise from aforementioned action series.
Birthplace, Current Residence and Memorable Figures
Birthplace is a complicated subject for Shio, the truthfully correct answer would be within 'Soul Society'. However, her birth, or 'rebirth' to her, did not take place until she gazed deep into reiatsu for the first time, and in doing so, finding a purpose for herself. This, she considers her true 'moment of birth'.
Her place of residence is as changing as the high wind. As a wanderer, Shio never stays in one place for too long. As an espada, her primary place of residence would have to be 'Las Noches'. That being said, as an individual without the true reiatsu signature of a hollow, she is more free to roam the human world whenever she wishes to.
There is a solitary memorable figure, existing only in the brief moment of conscious before her reawakening. "They perished without a name, just like many of our kind."
Fighting Style
Shio is an enabler, this can mean a variety of things, but first and foremost it conveys that she leans towards a supporting role in combat scenarios. This is not to say or indicate that she is at all averse to going on the offensive. On the contrary, it means that she is ever the opportunist, exploiting gaps in an opponents offensive/defensive strategy, all in order to create openings not just necessarily for herself, but also for her partner to take advantage of.
This can involve a multitude of tactics; creating distractions, putting pressure on an enemy which they cannot ignore, covering for gaps in her allies defenses, or providing the means for them to pose a much more significant threat in their own right. All of these will create instances that an enemy combatant will seemingly have an advantageous opening, only to have the tables turned on them, which becomes a disastrous mistake ready to be exploited.
Allies supported by Shio are able to fight much more aggressively, assuming she has them.
If not, then her strategy often involves remaining on the defensive. Whilst she will similarly be looking for openings to exploit, she will not be actively searching to create them. Instead she will be looking for routes to escape, evade, or keep her enemies at arms length. This is all in order to prolong the fight, and in doing so, potentially create the opportunity she needs to reverse the scenario in her own favor.
Technique
"Amalgamation Synthesis"
"Amalgamation Synthesis"
"Weave as one, welcome my presence into your midst and drink deep of my reiatsu. Twist it into a spire of vitality, and show them our true - complete - form."
This is the technique Shio refers to as, 'Hollow Synthesis'. It is when she joins 'herself' to another; a hollow or arrancar. Her true form - existing as no more than a small sphere - this technique is accomplished when a hollow (or arrancar) willingly welcomes her reiatsu into their own, placing her soul core physically in the gap that lays dormant where their Chain of Fate had once been; an empty void in their bodies, where Shio, in her soul pill form, coalesces all of her energy to merge with her new host.
Whilst in the 'Amalgamation Synthesis' state, Shio is unable to utilize any of her five senses, only 'feel' her surroundings; with 'Energy Sensory' and 'Instinct'. Furthermore, she is in stasis whilst performing this technique, meaning she cannot make any movements of her own; only the original host can now fully control their now combined body. For statistical purposes, all of her own physical stats and 'Senses' stat drop to a value of zero.
However, whilst joined in this way, the host benefits from their mutual synergy;

Shio and her 'Host' gain the ability to exchange reiatsu, this allows her to provide the 'Host' reiatsu from her own reiatsu pool, and vice versa. Amounts given and received must be stated in the originators and recipients posts; reiatsu may only be exchanged once per round. Once seperated, both characters split their remaining reiatsu evenly.

Transfering reiatsu to her 'Host' confers an additional benefit. In addition to the reiatsu gained, the 'Host' experiences a surge in spiritual energies. The recipient gains an increase to their 'Reiatsu Strength' equal to the reiatsu given, up to a maximum of four-hundred, or three times their 'Reiatsu Strength', whichever is lowest. This bonus lasts until being consumed by an ability with a reiatsu cost equal to, or larger than the associated reiatsu given; furthermore, this boost is considered a flat increase, seperate from any type advantages/disadvantages.
- Rapid Configuration (Rank 5)
At this level of ability, Shio has become accustomed to merging with new hosts - and has learned to do so efficiently. Upon activation of her technique, she no longer needs to be manually placed by another. Instead, her gigai is rapidly consumed and stored within her soul pill, and she is able to merge with a willing 'Host' immediately. This can be done simply by coming into contact with the reiatsu of the 'Host' by any means, and the transformation itself can happen at a comparable speed to Shunpo or Sonido; ten times her speed, it counts as a stepping technique. If her technique ends for any reason, she is expelled from her 'Host', then back into her gigai form.
- Shift: Takeover (Rank 4)
If the recipient 'Host' of her ability falls unconscious, Shio is able to assume control of their body for a short period of four posts. During this time, the 'Hosts' movements are mechanical; as reiatsu is being used to animate the body. Physical stats of the animated body remain the same, however she may only use her own techniques. Furthermore, the animated body relies on her own 'Instinct' and 'Energy Sensory' stats to determine its surroundings. This ability does not need to be immediately activated, but only once per time the 'Host' is unconscious.
Those with a lower 'Energy Sensory' stat than Shio are no longer able to determine her 'Host' and herself as seperate entities at this level; using spiritual sensing abilities. Visually, she is still discernible to those with keen eyes.
- Indistinguishable Anomaly (Rank 3)
Still incomplete, yet at this level, cracks begin to form on the surface of the 'Host'. One might notice a brief flash of resplendent burning azure eyes, wisps of fluttering reiatsu swirl around them and fade, a dense 'mist' of spiritual pressure form around their body; flickering. At this level, the 'Gravitational Pressure' of such an individual is increased by one level, or is reinforced to match the class level of Shio, whichever is highest.
- Assimilation (Rank 2)
To 'Assimilate' is to take in fully; comprehend, and master it as though it were your own. This is in part what this rank of her ability does, it grants Shio the ability to take in the physical form of others, including her 'Host', and have an effect upon them. This effect is, strictly speaking, only beneficial. In further detail, as though it were her own body and using 'Rapid Configuration', she absorbs the body of a hollow/arrancar into her own soul core by coming into contact with their reiatsu. Doing so puts the 'Host' into a stasis similar to her own gigai, but they remain conscious in an identical way to that she does whilst in this state.
Whilst in this state, the wounds of the individual cannot naturally heal, neither will they worsen; their body is in stasis, therefore they are incapable of using any techniques, the most they can do is determine events outside by using their own spiritual senses. But otherwise, the hollow/arrancar is considered to be in a suspended state.
To activate this part of her ability is 100 reiatsu per use, but there is no limit to how many times she can use it, or the number of hollows/arrancar she may absorb. Shio does not need to be merged with a hollow/arrancar beforehand to use this part of this ability, but they must be willing to enter. Once they enter, they cannot leave without permission.
All of this is a precursor to the second stage of her ability; 'Assimilation'. After a 'Host' has been absorbed, they are washed over by the potent reiatsu within her soul core. This has the primary function of restoring and reversing damage inflicted upon the mind, body and soul of the individual she has absorbed. It is unique in the fact that, whilst being healed in this manner, the 'Healing Expertise' for specifically this type of healing is treated as being increased by an amount equal to her 'Spiritual Pressure'.
If an individual is still actively afflicted by an ailment, this ailment will not continue to progress to a further stage due to the stasis; furthermore, if such an affliction could be healed is determined by a clash of this combined total, versus the 'Reiatsu Strength' of the one who inflicted the ailment, at the time the body or soul was afflicted.
Whilst merged with a 'Host' at this level, all fatigue is shared between the between the host body and her own; this effectively, and passively, halves the fatigue that the 'Host' may feel from physical activities and use of techniques, at the cost of sharing half the burden by using her own inanimate gigai as a spiritually-linked medium. This becomes limited to how much stamina she has, and if exertion reaches her own limit, this fatigue reduction no longer applies.
- Resurrección La Espada (Rank 1)
There is talk within Las Noches of the legendary Espada, a group comprised of only the strongest Arrancar in Hueco Mundo. For many, they are an aspiration, a beacon - the highest authority beyond the king. To others, a scourge. In total, there are ten of them, each branded on their skin a romanic numeral to instate their position in this organization. Within the realm of the spiritual, they are without a doubt a force to be reckoned with.
Shio Kyrou is a Mod Soul, however - she was not always. Once upon a different time, she was not all too different from those Arrancar that roam the halls of the exalted Las Noches. Even though such a thing might seem impossible now, for one of such cotton constitution - it is the unspoken truth. As a result of this, she has an innate connection to the organization unlike that which belongs to any other. It is a fated bond, and an invisible link.
'Resurrección La Espada', the manifestation of this bond - and, the zenith of 'Amalgamation Synthesis'. It allows her to frabricate the Espada themselves. Duplicate, incomplete versions of the legendary Swords of Las Noches. All of the romanic numbered Espada 1-9 are generated in her vicinity, constructed from the unique synthetic nature of her own reiatsu. Materalizing like ghosts to take bodily form, they are both tangible and crystalline - yet lifelike to such a degree. Identifiable as spiritual constructs, although imposing and vividly detailed.
Each of these synthetic Espada is made in likeness to the current members of the organization, it is impossible to create one belonging to a position that is not filled. Likewise, they have access to a unique list of techniques drawn from each member of the real Espada. In terms of statistics, they similary determine their capabilities based on the actual statistics of the member of the Espada which they represent, however, not quite as potent.
For each of the Espada re-created, their statistics are lowered by 10% for each Espada 1-9 that are active at once. This is true and has a limit until they only have 10% of their original statistic in total, for all of their statistics. Or alternatively, until one statistic would drop below 50 - which is impossible, it is impossible for any statistic to drop below 50 as a result of this drawback for any of the synthetic Espada. This also applies to any form of debuff.
In order to determine which techniques the synthetic Espada have access to, they must first be determined when the synthetic Espada are created. Each non-release technique can be chosen from a selection of any technique that members of the Espada have learned, excluding any technique that requires that the user must be a high-tier Espada. All of the synthetic Espada are capable of using these techniques collectively, and each one costs Shio a technique slot. This is only a temporary use of her technique slots, and prepared techniques for the synthetic Espada must be kept track of in her point bank. The synthetic Espada cannot use any of her own techniques.
At the same time these entities are generated, Shio may choose one of them to merge into - using 'Amalgamation Synthesis'. Each of the synthetic Espada has the ability to host her, and likewise, she is able to transfer her essence between them at will, under the same rules as her using 'Rapid Configuration' - except, she can do so from any distance. When this rank of her ability is used, all of the Espada that currently exist are made all at once.
This is with the sole exception of the Cero Espada. Aside from this sole member of the organization, she is able to control each synthetic Espada to a fine degree. Whilst in combat, it costs her focus and 100 reiatsu per post to do so; to represent the strain of precisely controlling each one. It also costs Shio 200 reiatsu to manifest the synthetic Espada initially. However, outside of combat, these phantom Espada do not have a cost to maintain. They remain indefinitely, and can maintain any distance from one another.
In terms of statistics, the synthetic Espada that Shio is fused with is unique. Unlike the others, the Espada which she is fused with gains a flat increase to their statistics that is identical to the statistics of Shio herself. Ordinarily, these Espada are incapable of using Resurrección. As long as Shio remains hosted within their bodies, it becomes possible for her to force them to use it. It costs 400 reiatsu to activate, and the signature release phrase.
Enunciating the release phrase unique to that Espada, they take on an identical form to that of the original in Resurrección. They gain access to their Primera Etapa, their overall ability - but not their release techniques. Segunda is not an option for this stage of her ability. If Shio leaves the host body of a synthetic Espada in Resurrección, they lose it. Otherwise, it lasts eight posts.
At any point of time whilst using her own ability, Shio can choose to fragment a specific Espada. This will cause their corporeal form to break apart, and then shatter. This will also happen if they are destroyed - break apart, then evaporate into ethereal mist. If this happens, then all of the synthetic Espada which still remain will be empowered. As the lingering spiritual energies of their memories coalesces into the remaining Espada.
Each of them is bolstered with the energy, and regains 10% of the statistics belonging to their original counterpart. In total an individual Espada can never have more than 90% of the original statistics belonging to the Espada that their form is based on. All of them gain this boost immediately, along the same bond that Shio can use to see through their eyes - hear through their ears, and feel what they touch in any given moment. The synthetic Espada are spiritual constructs, and have a durability equal to double the 'Spiritual Pressure' statistic of Shio herself.
In addition to reaching the complete stage of this technique, Shio has become so fine-tuned to the essence of hollows that she is now capable of replicating and manifesting 'Cero' in its most baseline, albeit destructive form. There are a few further restrictions for this; It must be trained for as any other technique, may only be trained after reaching 'Class 1', and she may only learn the basic 'Class 4' version.

When resolving friendly fire, both Shio and the 'Host' are regarded as one entity, this is true and extends to both beneficial and harmful effects and/or techniques. Additionally, both gain the ability to communicate telepathically with one another; these effects are due to the symbiotic bond formed after merging.
Techniques that do not require a physical body or movement are available for Shio to use in this form, and they draw from her own reiatsu pool; movement and physical techniques may still be used by her 'Resurrección La Espada'. This technique as a whole is mutual and lasts until either joint entity wishes to seperate from the other.
