Flashy Behavior: Look yes he understands your a skilled warrior showing off is waste's time , we are all dead who gives two shits about status either you kick his ass and let him sleep or he kicks your ass and you beat him to the pillow. to the point and quick so we can all get back to what's important eating and sleeping.

Birds: His love for hummingbirds and birds in general is one of the few things that transferred over from his life as a human. He will happily spend his time caring for and watching birds , if he is ever caught doing so he will deny it and go take a nap.

Slow Starter In Combat: He himself when it comes to confrontation is a slow starter , Which is a double edged sword as it draws out fights and may allow his opponents to grasp an upper hand.
Binge Hunter: As someone who values sleep Marik will go into hibernation for months at a time , upon awakening he is gripped with primal hunger that drives him to consume vast amounts of souls to make up for the time lost that large the quantity of high quality souls the longer the hibernation.
Picky Eater: Seeing as he tends to hibernate for great periods of time , His taste in targets seems to lean twoard those who would provide him greater fuel for his future endeavors .

Constantly Looking unimpressed: He cant exactly help it as he has resting lazy bitch face , if you ask him about it he'll simply tell you it's his face.Naps In The Wierdest Places: When nature calls you fucking answer , and this has led to him sleeping some of the strangest places known to man. One of the quickest way’s to get on his good side is to simply lounge around with him , or bring him an offering food as this appeals to his lazy nature. Those who would also aid in feeding into his hunger would be on his good side for some time as it would only make his need to feed easier to sate , he may even cling to that individual like a parasite as they would be an easy meal ticket. For those seeking to incur his wrath i would recommend the following needlessly nagging him to do other things beside sleep and eat , interrupt his nap , be the one responsible for ruining his thirty six hour nap. For those wishing to permanently be on this hummingbird’s bad side it would be to simply find a way to stop him from sleeping or truely enjoying his rest , should this happen one might find themselves on the receiving end of cero up the ass before he promptly kicks you out your own bed. Now Moving on to things that slightly annoy or agitate this hollow to no end , get ready this list is a bit of a doozy.
One of Marik’s greatest pet peeve’s would be those who would by all intents and purposes be considered ‘hot blooded’ , he hates their willingness to rush dick first into danger without assesing the situation or having a game plan ready. Most would see this as counter productive to his lazy personality , but tell me this if you have a well thought out approach to help you end a fight quicker doesn’t that open up one’s ability to get their ass home curl up in thier nest and sleep soundly!? Thats what i thought second cardinal sin of the world! He absolutely hates shitty beds and those who dont appreciate the power of relaxation and a good nap , some say sleep is for the weak well in this house sleep is for the ready and raring man early to bed is willing ready and wise. He hates flashy behaviour for two major reason’s , extravagant flashy displays of power are a waste time all they do is draw attention to one’s self and burn through power at and exorbitant rate. And lastly motherfuckers who yell shit at the top of thier lungs , his mind needs peace and quiet and he will happily punch you in the throat as a reward for yelling when he’s like fifteen feet away from you.
Due to his long periods of hibernation he will always start of slow in combat , he himself is very aware of the drawbacks to this but you tell me right now when you wake up you could fight at full capacity. Normally this draws out combat and he is aware of this and uses this time to examine his opponent’s , This may be interpreted as cowardice from his opponents and he is fully ok with that as it may make his opponents become more brazen in revealing their ability’s allowing him to get their patterns down. He has an affinity with getting along with animals this comes from their free-willed nature; when they’re hungry, they eat, when they’re sleepy. they sleep. when they wanna leave, they leave, when they’re all hot and bother, they fuck something he aspire’s to live by and embody making him prone to harsh truths at times if he can be bothered that is. All in all he is as well rounded as you expect a slacker a be.

Fighting Style:
Ranged Combatant: Marik himself in his current state doesn’t allow himself to get in close and engage the enemy. Preferring to use the environment to his advantage or projectiles. Due to his small frame and lack of mass he is extremely agile , Using his size to zip around the battlefield and bombard the enemy into submission and further into death with simple hit and run tactics. Provided there are multiple enemies things may get harry for him but as long as there is room for his body he may attempt to out manuver his opponents. Or dive near there hard to reach places and stab them with his beak , ya know right in the sack where its gonna hurt.
Slow starter: Due to his long periods of hibernation he will always start of slow in combat , he himself is very aware of the drawbacks to this but you tell me right now when you wake up you could fight at full capacity. This time Allows him to watch his opponent’s and look for patterns in their movement’s , during this time he will take his time to evade his targets painting himself as a coward to his foes. At times like this he may intentionally move at a slower pace and then take his opponent off guard with a sudden burst of speed , a simple tactic but and effective one. Once he as the targets patterns down he will then go on the offensive , or decide to take his leave of the area. slow and steady wins the race is a virtue to live by , one marik applys in all aspects in terms of combat.
Keep Away: He prefers to manuver around his targets with speed , raw power is nice for most but whats the point of it if you cant fucking hit your target. Speed is somthing he holds above all else , in terms of combat power if any enemy can catch you then you’ve already lost in his mind. Playing a nice game of keep away with the environment as obsticales both allows him to evade and attack which is normally not a luxury his enemies can afford. If this proves to be inefective he will switch tactics an attempt to collapse structures around his target and flee useing his small size to weave between falling obtsacles. who knows maybe in the future this will change.
Overall Theme:
The overall theme of marik’s fighting style is to rapidly attack his target and dive away. By utilizing both his speed and riatsu reserves to create bomb like pearls which he fires at the enemy , this fighting style may change overtime as he grows as a hollow. The pearls that he spits explode upon contact and create a five meter radius explosion , leaving behind a smouldering pile of the target engulfed in green flames. He will use this on the environment to throw off his persuer’s if he is in over his head , or blast the surrounding area to us the debris as an additional form of weapon. Keeping at a distance till he is one hundred and ten percent sure his enemy has been fell.

Technique Description and Effects: This technique is a basic stale for a Hollow's ability to slide in and out of the valley of screams at will when it is hunting or stalking prey. By gliding in and out of the space used by techniques like garganta or descorrer, a hollow can get around quickly. This technique operates similarly to a stepping technique, but only moves at 5x the user's speed. However, the user weaves through rips in the fabric of whatever world they are in, and as such the hollows exits, and then re-enters at the destination, Hollows do not lose awareness of the world as they move through an Ulcera, and can return to the material world mid-step in response to a threat or opportunity. This technique does not take up a Technique slot.

History:
To know the story of Marik one must know the story of his parents, Shuna his mother and Doranu his father were miners who fell in love on the job. His mother worked in the mines running food and water to the men who were mining out the mountainside, they would dig for ores and coal to fuel the war machin that was thier lords blacksmith’s , in which they would then sell off to the major neighboring Lords at an exorbitant rate. It was dangerous work but it was honest work and it gave them each a living, as years passed they grew closer and closer to one another till eventually, they fell to the flames of their passion on a warm spring night. Shuna would become pregnant with their first son on a joyous occasion but she still had to work as her husband, despite his wishes of her staying home while he worked.
Little did she know that having worked in the mine for so many years had slowly but surely killing her, her body was flooded with particles from the ore and coal. normally this type of thing wouldn't show any forms of health issues till old age, but her pregnancy was taxing and it made the side effects of the mine kill her much quicker. Unbeknownst to her the baby in her womb was falling victim to her reckless abandon. Causing him to be born prematurely and very malnourished , the poisoning of his mother's body had blocked him from receiving most if not all of their shared nutrients.
When he was born his mother sat on death’s door for the better part of three years being confined to her home and bed, Marik was never allowed to visit his mother and his father treated him like a parasite. And in turn he began to act as his father saw him mooching off of his hard working father , spending most days sleeping at his mother’s bedside. When his mother's health grew worse he would slip into a deep bout of depression. He would spend most of his days sleeping and eating the scraps off his father’s plate on the nights he could no longer ignore the pains in his stomach. He would eventually wander from home for days at a time not caring for what his father thought of him or his apathetic ways.
The boy would begin spending a lot of his time in dark alleyways and the forest near the village after a while, he began spending longer and longer periods away from his home. He had been spending time with wild cats in the forest, hunting with them, sleeping alongside them, and living as they would freely enjoying life. While he was gone due to his age and small stature he was able to subside cooked rats and birds that he caught sometimes the occasional fish. He began to pick up mannerisms from the cat’s such as peeing on things he wanted, as you can imagine this didn’t go over well with school staff; as you know peeing on girls to mark your territory is rather…...not so politically correct.
At the age of nine the boy had honed his speed well beyond someone of his age should be capable of, this was simply from the fear of getting caught and spending time with the wildcats of the nearby forest. He would make a show of stealing food despite being well fed at home, he did this because he wanted attention from those around him and his father whether it be good or bad. For him, love and acceptance were things he wanted, but all he ever earned was scorn. Also being treated as if he didn’t exist This leads to a spiral of questionable behavior on Marik’s part. To be honest what would be expected of him in such a situation.
When the boy turned ten the beating from his father began to grow worse, they’d leave the boy in severe condition; not enough to kill him but just enough to make him wish he was. The pain wasn’t permanent but it clung and it caused something to fester within him, a great and unrelenting storm of hatred was born; each blow upon his body made it grow stronger. His admiration, his longing, his desire for his father's love was dead; he only wanted to make this man suffer. Marik would begin to train day in and day out staying out in the forest for a total of two years training in the wilderness, he would come back to the village on occasion to check in on his mother. He would eventually take up bounty hunting though being so young he had his fair share of beatings, and merchants swindled him for everything he was worth. Eventually he would strike it out on his own becoming a village vagrant.
When his mother’s illness grew severe he would decide to move back in, his father no longer moved to strike him but hate-filled the man's eyes. Eventually, when his mother passed things weren't the same at home anymore his father blamed the whole ordeal on him, they would constantly go back and forth. One would think years of training would give him the edge but this was not the case, he feared no man but the one who stood before him his brain hardwired to recoil at his father’s voice and grasp. These fights always ended with the boy running out of the house battered and beaten to his mother's grave where he would curl up shivering and sobbing as he drifted to sleep, this continued for years until he was twelve this time he fought back giving his father a firm knee to the nads. Normally for a guy that would be the end but it only infuriated his father more he would grab a knife off the kitchen table and slash his son across the face, he could have reacted, he could have disarmed his father, he could have pulled his knife in response but he didn’t he froze his primal fear kicking in. His brain screams for him to run as the foe before him has nearly killed him on multiple occasions, so he did what any animal with an escape route would do; he ran as fast and as far as his legs would carry him he ran and ran till his legs gave out beneath him.
The sound of his father did not follow him as he vanished into the night , unwanted and unneeded he fled and when he collapsed he didn't move again. his geart ached with a new found sadness as he lay beneath that cherry blossom , as the pain became numbness overtime. He wouldn't move for day's eventually he would starve to death beneath that tree the roots growing over his carcass sadly for him this was not the end. His soul would linger for many years no longer caring for anything else around it , simply wanting to rest and enjoy life his spirit bound to the cherry blossom tree would watch the humming birds come every year. He so longed to fly freely as they do simply sleeping and eating as they pleased , with this notion every time he saw them he would mindlessly fly twoard them only for his chain to remind him he was bound.
His last moments of clarity would be him grasping the chain within his hands , and tugging wrenching his soul apart so that he could experience his own listfull lazy desires. To sleep the days away and eat and roam as he pleased with no one to tell him otherwise , this was the existence he craved. When the chain was finally wrenched free , his soul would warp into a twisted mockery of the hummingbirds he so desperately wanted to be like. The bowels of hueco mundo would open up and swallow him hole , a world of carnage and bloody evolution would await the boy as he simply fights to survive in this new world and earn his resting place in what he perceives to be heaven.
