[smear:ff80ff]"A seemingly random factory with plenty of others[/smear:ffffff][smear:ffffff] to study along the way? Interesting, sign me up~!"[/smear:603300] Ah, how Priscilla loved her personal library! There was always so much to read! So many new books were "donated" to her on a daily basis, which always meant for new books to read! Not to mention she had the option to reread older novels and informational material? What wasn't to love about that? She'd already set aside her entire day to be spent just catching up with some of her favorite book series! She very rarely had any free time due to serving under the Vandenreich, which while not something she disliked - she actually quite enjoyed serving under his holiness - it certainly had its stressful moments. Being able to take the time to relax and just be herself was something that was very much needed.
Picking out six different books, each one being apart of a different series she enjoyed, Priscilla placed them down gently on one of the many desks that had been in there, as she sat down happily humming to herself. She still hadn't decided which one she wanted to start yet! There were so many options; a fantasy series she'd been following since the early 2000's, a horror writer's final book, written as a farewell to to his fans, a guilty pleasure romance novel she'd been just dying to read for quite a while, among others! Her goal was to finish everything by the end of the day, which knowing her was far from a something she'd struggle to accomplish, but-
Her thoughts were immediately cut off as she blinked, and seemed to be in a completely different location. Her eyes widened as he neck craned rather vigorously in order to get a grasp on what had just happened, and where she'd ended up. In almost no time at all, she'd come up with the conclusion that she'd ended up in a factory of sorts. Everything seemed to be somewhat run-down and unused in quite a while. This seemed like something straight out of a horror movie. Truth be told, the rather abrupt change of scenery had gone to frighten her a bit. Just what had happened, and how was she going to be able to leave this nightmare?
Sighing, she began to call out. [smear:ff80ff]"Hel[/smear:ffffff][smear:ffffff]lo?"[/smear:603300] she shouted, [smear:ff80ff]"is anyone else here? If someone knows what's going on, I'd very much like to hear [/smear:ffffff][smear:ffffff]you out! Please, I've no clue what to do about any of this! Some help would be appreciated!"[/smear:603300] While she awaited a response, she continued to think about what exactly had just happened. Surely she wasn't singled out for something like this? Surely there'd be someone else that had ended up here; someone she could talk to and converse with about what had just happened. Thinking she'd need to do so in order to prepare later, she began to focus on her Cross and the Vandenreich fragment adorned on the face of her cap, drawing in whatever reiatsu in the area she could manage.
Chill, Antarctic winds swept across the top of the obelix, howling in defiance as Ken'ichi landed lightly at the apex of the structure. All too keenly aware that Edward was approaching the structure from somewhere near its base, Ken'ichi slowly but cautiously approached the altar, and the glowing crimson light that emanated from it.
Cloaked within the mantle of his Kage no Kuroku technique, Ken'ichi would be all but invisible against the night black sky over Antarctica. Not one to be reckless when facing unknown opposition, Ken'ichi had similarly silenced his movements via Sairento Satsugai. Eight orbs of liquefied metal encircled Ken'ichi as he approached the obsidian altar. Wishing not to be disturbed in his preliminary examination of the structure, he mentally willed the orbs to encircle him in a dome of swiftly spinning silvery-white liquid. With a final thought, Ken'ichi wound his liquefied zanpakutо̄ throughout the liquid in a lethal, spinning vortex.
Confident that any would-be opponent would expose themselves to the lethal properties of his Shikai should they dare tresspass on him, Ken'ichi slowly, but cautiously approached the jet black dias, only to find himself seemingly transported to what appeared to be an abandoned warehouse of some kind.
Did This One run afoul of some unseen trap, or was this by design? Mayhap this was always the function of the obelix itself. To transport the curious to this most curious of destinations. But for what purpose, and why would one go to such lengths to lure people to Antarctica, only to transport them here?
Layered atop his usual attire, Ken'ichi was clothed in several thick heavy furs, and scarves to protect him from the freezing Antarctic winds. Most curious still, whatever method had transported Ken'ichi to this nondescript warehouse had somehow deactivated his release, and Shihoin family techniques. Instead of being cloaked in a shroud of darkness, and surrounded by a spinning vortex of silvery-white liquid metal, Ken'ichi found his zanpakutо̄ had been mysteriously returned to its sheath in its sealed state, and his stealth techniques conspicuously absent.
In the center of the chamber, a large foreboding puzzle box demanded Ken'ichi's attention, however he was not willing to approach the box just yet, as the shinigami was not alone. Several other figures were present in the large, mostly empty structure, and as someone with an eye toward caution, Ken'ichi was not about to let his guard down among strangers.
"Were you people likewise ensnared by the power of the obelix?" Ken'ichi asked of those he found himself in the company of.
