Character Name: Camila Adaronde
Character Rank Mercenary Rank 2
Why are you applying for Bankai?
I’m applying for Bankai with Camila because I do truly feel she’s deserving of the release. She’s been through quite a lot since her creation, and has been around as a character for quite a while. She’s made numerous accomplishments over the last few years, and Bankai is the next natural progression for her as a character. Not to mention, it’s also a requirement for her to continue on the path of potentially becoming a Vizard, as well as her goal of keeping up with Celes, despite not knowing that she had also acquired Bankai.
What makes your character qualified?
Simply put, Camila has been through a lot. Since her creation at Class 8, each and every one of her opponents that she had fought have all been stronger than her by at least one Class, and/or have been statistically superior to her. Even with that said, she’s been able to maintain an almost perfectly balanced win/loss ratio, showing she can definitely go toe-to-toe with those that do outmatch her by quite a bit, not to mention taking on two Espada, who even now still significantly outrank her in terms of IC rankings, simply because she never even managed to achieve a seated position within her squad while she was in Soul Society.
Camila has also evolved significantly as a person over the years. Since her inception, her personality has changed quite seriously over time, as she went from being nothing more than a bratty child learning her way around Soul Society and how the organization as a whole worked, to a matured adult that finally has a grasp on the real world, and has since come to realize that the world doesn’t revolve around Soul Society, and that, in her eyes, they’re the true villains of the story of her life.

Additional Comments I do really appreciate the time taken to read over this. If any changes need to be made here, I’m more than willing to make any that are necessary.

Qualifying Threads
{Adventure Thread}
The Living Lab - After getting herself caught up with that Biolab in france, Camila, predominantly alongside Celes, had to claw her way out against a mess of bio-engineered animals that had effectively outmatched both Shinigami girls at the time. It was through the Living Lab incident that Celes and Camila’s friendship had begun, and Camila’s desire to keep up alongside Celes had sparked.

{Threads Before Class 3}
Welcome To Paradise - Through a desire to get stronger, Camila had sought out Celes, someone who she knew was stronger than herself, for a sparring session. It’s through this thread that she was taught the humility of defeat, as well as the fact that she was able to keep up with a superior that had unlocked Shikai, while she had been behind. Once again, this encounter with the girl was seen as a stepping-stone for herself, causing her to push herself in order to obtain Shikai later on.
Infinity on High - Another interaction with Celes, this time with the two of them going on on patrol together, and purifying hollows. It’s through this interaction that Celes imbues the idea of Humanity and maintaining control over herself into Camila. This thread also sparks somewhat of a “puppy crush” on Celes for Camila, as seen through her desire to even break key codes that Shinigami are required to follow, solely to save Celes’ life.
Almost Easy - After being sent out on a squad patrol that had been quickly wiped out by the previous Octava Espada, Adolf Reinhardt, Camila was forced to fight the man alone until backup had arrived. It was in this fight that she had unlocked her Shikai, and went forth to hold her own surprisingly well against the man, considering how heavily he outranked him. It was through this fight that Camila was able to gain quite a bit of self-confidence, as well as the motivation to continue to keep up with Celes.
Brompton Cocktail - Inversely to her previous interaction with Celes, Camila meets the previously Noveno Espada, Ailene Haschiro. In this encounter, Ailene offers Camila a completely different point of view from the one she was previously taught; she’s taught that causing yourself to lose control can absolutely be beneficial in accomplishing what you want, something she’d heavily make note of later on.
Chelsea Smile - Though her last meeting with Ailene had been fairly mutual, Camila ended up locked in combat with the now Septima Espada. Having walked away with large injuries from her fight with the Octava, Camila managed to walk away with even fewer from someone with a higher rank. Not only that, she managed to get quite a few good hits in.

{Threads At or After Class 3}
Built for Blame, Laced with Shame - Her most recent meeting with Celes, and a direct follow-up from Chelsea Smile. Through this thread, Camila had defected from Soul Society, and ended up cutting ties with her best friend in doing so. Now seeing Celes as more of a rival than anything, this thread acts as serious motivation for Camila in order to continue pushing herself further in hopes of being able to bring Celes out of Soul Society, using force if necessary. As such, Bankai is a sort of natural progression for her.
All Signs Point to Lauderdale - Camila’s fight with Beast. It was through this fight where she had her first hollow takeover, an experience that had left a horrendous memory behind, with Albin taking over and forcing her to effectively submit to his will for the time being. It was through this fight that, once again, her motivation in order to improve as a fighter had been pushed, though this time in order to prevent Albin from taking over again if she could actively prevent it.

{Bankai Solo Training}
Waltz of Treachery - Last but not least, this is the thread where Camila had been taught about the existence, and how to actually make use of Bankai. In this thread, Albin had pushed her to the very limit of what she was capable of, and had forced her to allow herself to lose control at times. It was through this thread that Camila had begun to embrace losing control at times, if not solely for the purpose of power and prevailing over her foes.
