Yet again it was time for an Akki to mess with Jeff, opening a portal and yeeting him through it, laughing all the while. The breeze wafts past Jeff as he leaves the portal in a tumble, pressing down and crushing daffodil’s, Rose’s, Daisy’s, and Lily’s. Standing up he finds himself in a decent sized greenhouse, flowers to his left and right. Looking through the glass Jeff would see buildings crowding around this building, the noise of those bustling around outside. Irritated Jeff would begin kicking a few of the flowers that survived his entrance, What will it take for me to land in the countryside?


Letting out a very audible groan, a noise would catch his attention, turning around he would see a man standing there with a watering can. “Oh, were those your plants, my bad”, coming out a little sarcastic as it was clear he was irritated. “I tell you what, if you leave now I won’t start anything”, trying tell quell his anger for a moment, There’s no point of taking out this guy, it won’t allow me to grow, he looks so frail and pathetic. Raising his hands up in a very i’m unarmed manner, his chains would come loose from his cloak, dangling from his wrists. If Shitoke was able to piece the chains and the mask together, he would understand the man you stumbled in is one who will more than likely not leave his greenhouse in a good state.

Today started as any other day. Get up, wash your face, put on the uniform, and go spend a couple hours taking care of the plants. And that last one was going really well! The plants had started to really come to their own. Several fruit bearing plants like the peach tree were starting to bare fruit, the beginnings of them anyway. Hell even his more “beginners” flowers had been doing well, and he was most proud of his secret Venus flytrap he’d managed to sneak in and not even tell Anthony about. It was doing well and he was going to get to feed it again today. It was silly but he was a bit excited for that one, especially because he swore sometimes it smiled at him. Really gave him the warm and fuzzies inside.

And then it went to shit and it was all because some random idiot got in. Shitoke was in the middle of humming to himself and quietly chatting with his plants. Eyes aglow with a secret joy he didn’t often feel safe indulging in. And then out of nowhere he hears a sound that could only be described as several different kinds of pigs, humans, and something only an eldritch monster would understand as far as death throes are concerned. And then all was quiet again. So quite that Shitoke almost thought he’d just gone insane for a few moments before he started hearing someone else cursing. That’s when he heard the subsequent pottery getting destroyed and Shitoke quickly went to check it out.

There in all their glory stood a man with chains, a mask, a black cloak, and an arrogant as fuck attitude. Even his “apology” was just a mockery of what a real one would have been. It didn’t help that while Shitoke didn’t know that he was a saika that he did realize he was a hellion from the chains alone. So that already meant trouble but honestly there was something boiling inside Shitoke that he wasn’t familiar with. And it was anger. Anger towards this idiot that had most likely been thrown in, destroyed his garden, and was acting like Shitoke was actual trash. Many a time Shitoke might have just backed down for fear of what the other could do. And many a time he might have let someone else handle it. Today was not that day not when that anger was less a spark and more akin to a growing bonfire that was teetering out of control.

Before he could even think of a comment Shitoke fired off a Sho mentally saying its name aimed directly at this invader’s face. He then immediately shook his hand as what could only be described as an electrical jolt shot through his hand. It hurt but it wasn’t anything he hadn’t already suffered from in the past. Besides just as soon as he’d noticed it and shook his hand it was already gone. He’d have to keep that in mind however as he wasn’t used to actively using his reiatsu. Once he’d gotten over the jolt he frowned and glared at Jeff as he got into something of boxing stance. Hands forward, leaned over some, and on the balls of his feet. If Jeff tried to get close he’d use his left arm and send out a light punch before stepping back a bit. If he even caught a slight motion of his chains in any way that indicated them as a legitimate weapon he would fire off another Sho at his shoulder for the arm the chain was attached to.

Launched backwards onto his rear end as something smacked him in the face all Jeff could think was, Really? Magic now? What else do I not know of my world? before looking over at the windows he previously seen. The jar to his brain must have focused him more as he noticed they weren't really looking outside, it seemed like they were but they weren't. What Jeff was staring at was essentially a screen that showed an image giving the appearance of looking outside, to boot the noises he heard were coming from speakers cleverly hidden next to the monitors. So, what your telling me, is I'm not even above ground? Are you kidding me? Can I not get anything my way???

Standing up he looks towards Shitoke, "So that's the direction you want this to go? Very well" he would say as he ready's himself. Wrapping his left hand in his sinners chain he will then use Pressurized Gravitation to create a one and a half foot long class 8 short sword. Glaring through his mask he will speak up, "I'm going to make you regret starting this fight." Finishing that sentence he will rush forward at Shitoke, ready to roll left or right if he believes magic is about to be cast while holding his blade out from his left side ready to swing horizontally. 

If he misses he would then move into a shoulder rush, attempting to catch him off guard while throwing the ability to dodge away. If Jeff notices any physical sign of Shitoke moving his hand to face Jeff he will wait as long as he can before rolling to the right. The roll would then lead to Jeff being upright again thanks to his training as he would proceed to continue his original attack plan. The moment his sword begins to move forward for the slash attack Jeff will begin to laugh, specifically a madman's laugh. Whether he originally wanted to fight or not, at this moment it was clear he was enjoying himself, the thought of cutting into his opponent created joy in his mind and if his opponent managed to hit him, that thought also brought a smile to his face behind the mask.

Gravitational Pressure is a skill inherent to all beings with power. Regardless of reiatsu strength, spiritual pressure, or stats at all, Gravitational Pressure is caused by a honed, sharpened soul. While Gravitational Pressure is usually out poured violently and over a broad area, with a little bit of practice anyone can learn to compress it. Pressurized Gravitation is a general technique that anyone can learn. This includes Fighter and even Kenpachi type fighters. By compressing Gravitational Pressure, the user simply creates a blade.



Summoned out of the integrity of their soul, a blade forged by Pressurized Gravitation will look different from person to person. However, all blades created by Pressurized Gravitation do not appear to be of solid matter, rather of shimmering energy. The length of the blade is usually consistent with standard swords, however there are variations between users, thus it has a maximum length of four feet from guard to tip. The rest of the appearance is up to the user, and is defined when they Learn this technique. Becoming Proficient in the technique allows the user to be slightly flexible in its creation from use to use, and Mastering the technique allows for other melee weapons such as poles and clubs.



The main power of Pressurized Gravitation is its independence from the reiatsu stats of the user. It simply possesses the class of the user. It will never cut through nor be cut through by a Zanpakutou or similar sealed weapon and will always lose to a released weapon at, above, or one class below it in strength (class 3 Pressurized Gravitation loses to anything at Shikai level or above, etc.) It does not have the cutting power to cut through a released weapon, however, it can defend against releases it is 2 classes superior to. It will also lose to Kidou or other reiatsu techniques of superior class. For defenses such as Hierro or Blut, it is a Class of the Enemy vs Class of the Pressurized Gravitation check rather than a class of the Hierro/Blut check. It needs class superiority to cut through those defenses.



When Learned, one generic blade can be made. When Proficient, the user may choose to personalize their blade, details seen above, or create a second generic blade (chosen on a use by use basis). When Mastered, the user may choose to pick a different weapon type, or create up to four generic blades. As a side note, as these are more reiatsu based than physically based, Pressurized Gravitation does not meet the cutback effect.



How to use technique (How is it activated?): [To activate this technique, the user simply releases their Gravitational Pressure for a moment before compressing it into a more tangible form.



Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc)



First, this weapon is weak in combat situations when the enemy is released. Second, it does have a reiatsu cost whereas Gravitational Pressure does not. A class 8 user can use this technique for free, but above that there is a cost. At Class 7, this blade costs 50 reiatsu per post to keep active. For every class above that, add 50 reiatsu per post. At class 0, it costs a hefty 400 reiatsu per post. It also requires a bit of focus for those of just Learned training, and also prevents the user from casting reiatsu techniques or exerting normal Gravitational Pressure while the technique is active. Finally, because Gravitational Pressure is inherently an outpouring of one's spirit, concealing one's presence in any way shape or form is impossible while using Pressurized Gravitation.

Adrenaline pumped through Shitoke, made him antsy and put him on edge as he wasn't used to dealing with this sort of feeling. Thus when Jeff decided to try and cut open his torso to spill out his guts Shitoke immediately decided to "nope" out the way of the attack by jumping backwards a foot. This would have been an excellent move had Jeff also not decided to full send yet another attack by shoulder charging him. Shitoke had but a moment to think and in that moment begged whatever would listen to give him a weapon of some kind.



Little did he know he was actually using a skill he'd learned awhile back Anathema Arsenal. With a clear image in mind of a thin but dangerously sharp sword he accidentally ended up making a pretty basic rapier. With a semi-sphere for a hilt guard, a thin but pointed blade that was edged on both sides and a standard hilt he was pretty surprised to find that out of nowhere he'd generated a weapon. Which meant only one thing, he was about to feel yet another electrical shock of pain. And this one was a good bit stronger than the one his Sho had made. Hell it even came with the jolting motion of his arm thrusting the sword at Jeff, namely the shoulder that was being so generously thrown his way.



If Jeff didn't move Shitoke's weapon would pierce through him and immediately begin consuming his reiatsu like a starved man. And considering the blade had an eye on it that was entirely focused on Jeff it was far to say that it probably was starved in some capacity. If it ended up piercing Jeff Shitoke would immediately try to rip the weapon free assuming he wasn't brought down on the ground from the tackle. Which to be fair seemed like a bit of a stretch considering Jeff put his whole body into this and Shitoke was a good bit physically weaker than him. To help with this however Shitoke would use his left hand and thrust it into Jeff's chest and cast another Sho to help shove the man back. Suffering yet another jolt in his hand. This would happen regardless of whether Jeff tackled him down or was stopped for by his random thrust.



Shitoke in the meantime was struggling to keep up. Things were happening VERY fast in his opinion. And being a non-combatant generally this was completely out of his usual zone of "yea I can handle this". In fact it wasn't unfair to admit that Shitoke was genuinely scared not only for his plants but for himself. He really just wanted this entire fiasco to end right now with a magic wand. Sadly he had neither the power nor the means to do just that. So until Jeff was incapacitated or Shitoke managed to knock himself out there was very little that was going to stop the chaos train from continuing it's ride.

2. Technique Name: Anathema Arsenal - Class 7 Learned

Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect):

If Kasumi’Oji are known (Or vilified) for one thing it’s Bakkoto. This noble house created and even still attempts to perfect their art to create the best bakkoto possible. This technique hails from the Kasumi’Oji’s inherent ability to create bakkoto as well as manipulate their own life force in order to achieve something of a pseudo bakkoto. It is not quite “alive” as a fully fledged bakkoto due to the fact that the emphasis is on temporary sentience as opposed to a completely sentient and living spiritual object. If anything it’s sentience is really only that of a wild animal, a hungry wild animal. Which can and will turn on the user if it’s not fed so this technique must be used with care lest the user become the victim as opposed to the opponent.


This brings us to the actual power of this technique. With this cursed technique one can create any melee weapon one so desires. And even if one doesn’t inherently know how to wield it normally this technique grants the user insight into how to wield it. More accurately it grants the user an instinctual understanding of how best to use the weapon. In gameplay terms this utilizes the user's Curse skill and allows the user to allocate unused skill points up to the user's current skill level unless the level of this technique says otherwise. For class 7 the maximum is 1 point, for class 4 the maximum is 2, and for class 2 the maximum is 3. Lastly the durability for this weapon is equal to the users RS. Unless the user is proficient or mastered, in which case the durability is 1.25x or 1.5x the users RS.


But that’s not all this weapon does, because as mentioned earlier it is effectively a proto-bakkoto. It must feed because if it doesn’t feed on the opponent it will feed on the user. How this weapon feeds is that upon coming in contact with another entity it consumes their reiatsu. Per instance of contact it consumes 50 reiatsu. This increases to 75 for the class 4 version and 100 for the class 2 version. This reiatsu however does not go to the user but simply feeds the weapon. However to “satiate” the weapon the user must feed it the equivalent of the reiatsu cost again. If the user cannot manage that in 3 posts the weapon will forcibly consume the reiatsu and life force cost again from the user.


There is however one final property that is locked to the class 4 and class 2 version of this technique. That is upon the user hitting the opponent with the weapon they can mark their opponent. This mark is the equivalent of a leech and will consume 50 reiatsu for the next 2 posts before fading away. This mark can be applied multiple times however to apply this mark the user must pay 50 reiatsu per instance of contact and it cannot be applied to anything that isn’t sentient or spiritual. (I.E. a summon isn’t normally possible to mark unless it has its own pool of reiatsu or uses their summoner’s pool. A bount doll however can be marked as it has its own reiatsu pool.) And at class 2 there is yet another facet to this and it’s that this mark can nullify a reiatsu technique if a mark(s) can equal or exceed the cost of a technique. This however consumes the mark and any excess reiatsu that the mark could have absorbed is not taken from the opponent. This ability can only be used at class 2 and only once per post, assuming the number of marks is met.

How to use technique

To use this the user must collect reiatsu into their hands. Then envision the weapon they desire and form it with their hands. This takes a second or two at most. Afterwards the user must section off a portion of their life force, imbue it into the weapon and awaken it. If done correctly the weapon will give off it’s own reiatsu signature.

Technique Drawbacks

To start with this lasts 3 posts regardless of the level of the technique used. The way to increase this however is by levels of mastery. The TTP required to master this technique is class 4 equivalent for proficient and class 1 equivalent for mastered.

If the user cannot harm the opponent enough times to satiate the weapon then the weapon will consume the users life force and reiatsu equal to the level utilized again. This weapon can be reiatsu or physically flexed against to prevent harm.

If the opponent has 1.25x the user’s OS then the reiatsu consumed upon coming in contact is halved. And should the user have class 4 or 2 active then the mark loses a post that it can be utilized. If the opponent has 1.5x the user’s OS then they are immune to the reiatsu consumption aspect of this technique and the marking ability.

This weapon also cannot be deactivated and it cannot be changed once created. It will last the maximum posts able and the form will remain until refreshed. The cost for this technique is dependent on the level used. Regardless of what level is used the user will pay an equivalent life force cost.

It seemed like Jeff was correct in assuming that the Shinigami in front of him was going to attempt avoiding his blade, the way he did it was by jumping back a step, Perfect. The grin under his mask was nice and wide as he shifts his body using the momentum of his last attack to throw forward his left should hoping to plow through the man trying to avoid him. While moving his arm the chains attached to both wrists and ankles begin to rattle violently from the sudden physical shift giving a decent warning on how much effort he was putting into this attack.

While Jeff may not be capable of dodging anything this Shinigami could throw at him now this didn't mean he was leaving himself completely defenseless. Thanks to his slightly better than average instinct and his half way decent capability in battle analysis he noticed the special blade appear in his opponents right hand and he understood what was about to happen. The second the blade began to move towards his shoulder as he continued to push on with his charge at Shitoke there was only one thing Jeff could do and that was release his own sword causing it to dissipate into nothingness.

Why would Jeff do this Shitoke might wonder? Simply because it gave him a free hand to do something no sane person would ever do with a blade being thrust at you while moving towards it. With his now free right hand he quickly moves it forward grabbing the blade before it reaches his body and forces it to go up, this does still cause the blade to slide through his blade however as he wouldn't stop his own momentum. The pain that came from this was delightful in Jeff's mind as he couldn't help but let out a slightly crazed laugh as he slides his grip all the way down the blade until he reaches the pommel of the weapon.

Too bad for Jeff his plan still wouldn't go quiet as planned for the Shinigami suddenly throws his left hand into Jeff's chest and if it wasn't for what this guy had already used against him he wouldn't have known what was about to happen. Thankfully from the experience he already gained from the initial attack this guy made he knew what was coming next, thus allowing him to get his own treat in before he was knocked away. Using the grip he had on the pommel of the sword his opponent held and the momentum he still had as he was moving forward he forcefully yanks at the weapon hopping that his opponent has a strong enough grip that his arm and body will follow along with his sword.

If Jeff's little surprise attempt succeeded he would slam his shoulder into Shitoke's chest trying to knock both him to the ground and the air out of his chest. Regardless of the outcome from his attempt to stun his opponent Jeff would still be sent flying backwards a good six feet even gaining a little bit of air time as he traveled back. Landing on the ground he was not able to just roll immediately to his feet due to the awkward position he was in as he landed on his right side and rolling sideways a few times ending up right back on his right side. 

Mustering up some strength he pushed himself off the ground feeling the area where his chain wrapped left wrist was dug into his side after landing knowing that a bruise would form there. Managing to get back to his feet he was hopping that if his attacked worked he would be up before his opponent, but either way he would begin walking towards Shitoke chuckling and speaking as he made his way to him. "That was quiet the surprise you gave me there, I just only hope I can bring you an equal amount of pain I mean enjoyment as I just felt." While saying this the blood from his cut hand was visibly falling to the ground dop after drop every few seconds.

If Jeff arrived in the spot in front of his opponent before Shitoke managed to get up then Jeff would rear back his chain wrapped left fist and wrist before slamming it downwards aiming to smash the Shinigami in the right side of the chest hopefully under his arm. If Shitoke was up before that Jeff would position himself with his fist raised up to his chest with his left hand in front ready to duck, weave, and possibly roll out of the way from anymore magical attacks. From this position he would be prepared to throw out counter attacks before laying on the pressure to keep his opponent from pulling of too many more tricks.

So honetly, despite the fact that this entire fight was really just a bad impulsive decision on Shitoke's part it really could have been a lot worse. For instance he not only managed to "hit" his opponent with his semi-sentient rapier but he also managed to push him back a good distance after the fact. Which in turn probably saved him from getting his face pummelled in or worse. All of which was good. The bright side of things to look at. However that wasn't everything to consider and in some ways may not have made up for the bad.

Shitoke had gotten his blade grabbed onto by Jeff. Now had he been stronger this probably would have been more of a detriment to him if only for the cutting edge. However Shitoke was a good bit weaker and thus even with a decent edge hadn't really managed to cut terribly deep into his hand. That brings us to the next point of note, Shitoke for lack of a better way of describing it been lowkey shoulder thrown by Jeff. And to make matters worse his rapier was basically slapped out his grip and fell a couple feet away. The rapier itself didn't seem to care too terribly as it's eye was closed and it just sort of rested there. Shitoke on the other hand feel onto his shoulder and side.

It wasn't the worst pain imaginable given he didn't land on much else but some broken pottery and the remains of several different plants. But it didn't mean he enjoyed hitting the floor and shards. He groaned however more so for just having been tossed down like a doll and tried to catch his breath. Jeff finally hitting the ground himself however sort of put the world back in perspective. . . As well as reminded him that this fight was actually doing a number on his personal garden. The worst part being Jeff was only about a foot or two away from his favorite plant, his Venus Flytrap. He'd even named it Pirahanna plant after the plants in Mario World. If that plant ate shit, Shitoke would be the one losing it. Thankfully though Jeff was entirely focused on making his day worse and wouldn't be looked behind him.

Shitoke in the meantime got a chill down his spine from Jeff's promise and promtly found the fear necessary in himself to get up and bolt to his rapier. Being Jeff was walking there really shouldn't have been any reason he wouldn't make it the could feet over but that didn't stop Shitoke from looking behind every other second just to be safe. If somehow Jeff did try to pull some long range shenanigans Shitoke would simply Shunpo his way towards his sword. Once in hand he'd look back at him and hold it in his right hand, nerves on edge and obviously a bit anxious but that spark of fire from earlier kept itself just strong enough to keep him around. Shitoke in the meantime would simply hold his ground until he came within range thrusting towards Jeff's main body and transitioning into a slash in either direction depending on where he rolled to if he did. If he caught it again Shitoke would without a doubt shit himself mentally.

It seems as if just like Jeff this Shinigami was able to get up pretty quick after getting knocked to the ground, taking the opportunity he dashes to the sword that was also tossed from his hands. Taking his time Jeff allowed the man to pick up his sword, making it clear he wasn't afraid of the blade or the one holding the blade, even going so far as to grin when he holds the sword in front of him pointed at Jeff. Oh? He wants to play rough? I can oblige to that, just hope he can last more than a few seconds.

Moving slowly towards Shitoke gave Jeff Sufficient time to watch for specific movements, sure he wasn't to knowledgeable about different reiatsu based techniques such as Kido but one thing Jeff did understand was what different movements translated to when dealing with physical fights. Sure, was he completely positive what Shitoke was planning? absolutely not, but it didn't matter as he would go with his plan regardless of the Shinigami's actual reaction. A grin would continue to grow behind his mask as he continued forward.

Finally coming within range Shitoke seemed to take this time to strike, lunging for his body and transitioning his sword strike into a slashing attack. Thankfully it seemed as if Shitoke was not that used to fighting close and personnel as the moment he began his slash attack his body position gave his intent away. With his ability of battle analysis and his training to keep his eye focused on the opponent Jeff read the attack easy enough to know his plan would work. 

As the blade came towards Jeff without a second thought he would reach out grabbing the blade with his Hell chain wrapped hand regardless of which side the sword was coming from. Reaching out he would use the chain to stop the blades momentum as much as possible although it still found its way to Jeff hand cutting it some. Once the blade made contact with the chain and Jeff's hand he would close his fingers as much as the chain would allow gripping the blade intending to keep it within his grasp as long as possible. With the blade held in his hand Jeff would move his left hip towards Shitoke allowing him to use the momentum to fall forward slightly before his foot landed on the underneath the area where the hand Shitoke is using to hold the weapon is. With his foot planted firmly on the ground Jeff would continue the momentum going down with his left fist before swinging up and into the elbow region of Shitoke's sword arm in the hopes of breaking if not severely hurting that arm.

If everything went to plan and the Shinigami didn't throw out another spell of some sort Jeff would gave a loud and crazed laugh aimed at the injured Shinigami. "Was that as good for you as it was for me? I can keep going if that wasn't enough? You know what, I should keep going!" If Shitoke didn't understand before he would now, the sinner standing before him was not right in the head and certainly wasn't completely sane. This was even more apparent as Jeff began to chuckle maniacally.

So all things considered Shitoke really should have expected Jeff to grab his blade again. Admittedly it was a pretty big oversight on his end, especially considering he'd not done that but I don't know, 5-10 seconds prior? If Shitoke ever had a mental facepalm moment this was it. He really didn't have much he could say except, he REALLY needed to get better at this combat thing. And he wasn't really in a position to do a lot right now but stare straight into Jeff's eye holes of his mask. I don't suppose he'd be the kind of guy to let go of my weapon for a second time would he?



However if there was ever something Shitoke was good at, it was panicking. And when he panicked a lot of strange things happened. Like making a rapier for example. Did he know how to do that? Absolutely not. Did he have a vague idea since this was the second time it'd happened? Yes actually. So when he realized Jeff was going low and still keeping his arm in place Shitoke immediately understood what he was gunning for. And if he didn't have a response he'd be all kinds of fucked, right here, right now.



Thankfully he was panicking. Nonononononononononoonononno! I don't know how to stop this! I need to stop this! How would I even stop this!? I don't have a wall or something to put between his fist and my arm! Joke was on Shitoke he actually did. In his flurry of ideas swarming through his head a small solemn wish for a shield came up. And without realizing it had yet again activated Anathema Arsenal to produce just that a medium metal shield. And lucky for him it not only covered his lower arm but it covered his elbow as well. Even going so far as to cover a quarter of his upper arm. But fuck did the thing weigh a ton and given it's straps were wrapped around his arm he wasn't getting rid of it anytime soon with one arm held in place.



The shield upon taking the brunt of the punch from Jeff would immediately produce a mouth and bite the hand. More like nipping at it than anything but even Jeff would be able to see and feel yet again that he'd had his reiatsu consumed in yet another small portion. The mouth even had the audacity to lick it's lips and Jeff's fingers if they were still present on the shield. Shitoke all the while however simply stood there stunned. There was yet another object he'd created out of sheer force of anxiety. And that's when the drawback hit him. His entire body tensed as if shocked and he actually managed to let go of his rapier in the process.



Rapier no longer in his hand and a nice weighty shield on his right hand he aptly decided he needed to do something with it. And that was keep it the fuck in front of him and continue to back away. He'd had minor training in Hakuda but no amount of martial training was going to help him work that in with a freakin shield on his arm. HE could use Sho and hide behind it in the process but honestly Shitoke really didn't want to keep damaging his green house further. So he did the only thing he could do in this situation. Use good ole lefty and start chunking potted plants at the man in question. All the while he kept his eyes focused on Jeff. He really didn't need to get hit by his own rapier, nor his chains, nor his fucking fists which apparently were something to be feared at this point. Note to self, remind myself to start learning how to use this item generation ability and train with it. I REALLY need to have a better idea of what all this thing does. . . and also why it keeps making eyes or mouths. God forbid if it makes other body parts. . .

It seems like his plan to grab the blade was successful, in fact it was to successful as was apparent when Jeff looked at the face of his opponent. The face he was seeing was that of absolute confusion, not of the situation but of their own thought process. "You know, It was dumb enough of me to let go the first time, what in the world made you think I would make the same mistake in such a short amount of time?" If Shitoke could see his face a single eyebrow was being raised questioning the one he is fighting, Does he even understand close range combat?


With his grip on the sword Jeff continued with his attack idea going low and aiming to mess up the mans arm, to bad it seems fate was not his alley at this time. Just before his fist made contact a shield was created preventing most of the actual attack and to make matters worse the shield actually gnawed on his hand, in fact it even licked his fingers. True, it didn't hurt for the shield to do that but the feeling came again, as if energy was just sucked out of him. So that's what they do, good to know, this thought clicked into place after he realized the opponents weapons were eating his reiatsu.



While Jeff's attack seemed to fail something else happened to Shitoke, he let go of the sword as if being electrocuted. Not gonna complain about this, if Shitoke thought Jeff was going to drop the newly acquired weapon he was dead wrong, however, Jeff was certainly not going to use it correctly either. Shitoke gained himself again and decided to back away keeping Jeff in front of him. While Jeff was expecting a magical attack of some sort what his opponent did left him dumbfounded, while Shitoke was backing away he decided to grab a potted plant and toss it at Jeff, smacking him and shattering against his mask. Somehow the mask held out, which Jeff was grateful for, so Jeff could only respond with one sentence as the attack didn't faze him, "Were you expecting that to do something?"



Stepping forward Jeff grabs the blade with his other hand preparing to hit the Shinigami with the weapon in a way it was not designed for. With all of his strength Jeff swings the handle and guard portion of the sword at Shitoke's legs in hopes of taking his feet from under him. If the attempt at knocking Shitoke's feet from under him failed Jeff would straighten back up keeping his eyes on the Shinigami, half expecting another magic attack. The weapon he was holding seemed to shatter so Jeff would allow the chain wrapped around his right arm to fall, rattling as it fell towards the ground but not quiet hitting it. He begins swinging the chain and as menacingly as possible would say to the Shinigami, "Time for me to show you a good time, just hope you can hold out long enough to make it enjoyable for me!"



Upon contact the weapon seemed to do what he wanted, however, the moment his attack finished the sword shattered into nothingness. That's unusual, but then again so isn't this whole situation. If the attack to knock the man unto his back was successful Jeff would quickly move to be at the bottom of Shitoke's feet, chuckling all the while. When he finally reaches that destination he would allow his chain to unravel, grabbing the end with his left hand before pulling it taught. In the most sinister tone he could manage Jeff would say while looking down at Shitoke, "Are you ready for the best treat I can give? I sure hope so!"

Shitoke could only gulp as his heart rate increased. This whole fight was really a shit show as far as he was concerned and it wasn't getting any better. And for worse this man kept using everything around him to his advantage. Including his own weapon, which by the way wasn't how that thing was used! That attack in fact brings us to the moment of truth.



Could Shitoke dodge it? Not really Jeff had afterall pinned him to the opposite wall of his greenhouse. Well there was a bit of space behind him but not enough to really matter. In truth Shitoke was out of options. Dodging wasn't an option so he needed to go on the offensive. . . with a shield. . . and his fists. That line of thought brings us to our current cluster fuck of a decision. Since Shitoke had some semblance of a skill with the shield and skill in hakuda he could throw a very uncoordinated punch via the shield at Jeff if he could get close.



The only thing that could get him close? Shunpo. With a quick surge of reiatsu to his legs he shunpo'd directly into Jeff then usedd his right arm, shield in tow, and smacked his arm holding onto the rapier away. From there he simply pulled the very arm back and threw it as hard as he could at Jeff's chest. Using the edge of the shield wasn't exactly going to give him a lot to work with but it was something. And at this close surely he could hit him right? Right? He fucking hoped so.



Assuming it worked it'd likely throw Jeff back a couple feet at worst. And from there Shitoke could breathe again. Probably. Hopefully. Not likely since he wasn't "strong" persay but still it'd hurt! Worst case he still had Sho in his back pocket so all he'd need to do not fire it off rapidly, which wasn't likely due to the pain he'd get, but even still. If he used it sparingly it'd still catch Jeff off guard most likely. And given he hadn't used it in a minute Shitoke was actively looking for a moment that he could capitalize on it. But being as unskilled at fighting. . . well none of the moments before him screamed "FIRE THE SHO!" So he'd likely just continue to stare down Jeff, in fear and with mildly shaking stature.

Everything seemed to be going to plan, until it wasn't, and when it started to stray away, it put Jeff in a very bad position. Going for the leg sweep with the sword grip looked like it was going to work, but Shitoke managed to react in time using the shield to block the sword which also shattered upon contact. To make matters worse the Shinigami was rearing his shield bearing arm back with the obvious intent to slam Jeff with it. "I don't think so!" Jeff would scream as he manages knock the shield bearing arm away, sadly making contact with the shield, before tackling Shitoke with his full strength by bear hugging the poor weak looking Shinigami.



If the tackle worked then both Shitoke would fly backwards due to Jeff's decent strength before slamming back first into the ground with Jeff ontop of him. To ensure no magical shenanigans' will happen Jef would quickly pull his arms from under Shitoke and use them to pin the Shinigami's arms to the ground. Jeff would try to do this before Shitoke would regain composure inevitably causing the chains around his right hand to fall while he holds both arms in his grip to the floor.



"I've had enough of your parasitic weapons draining the energy from my body", Jeff would scream this into Shitoke's face before rearing his head back slightly and smashing it down into Shitoke's forehead cracking his mask slightly. Lifting his head back up Jeff would be panting slightly, partially due to the reiatsu that was drained from him but mostly due to how upset he was. Everything suddenly changed, however, when he finally took a good look at the person who he was pinning to the ground.



"This can't be right, where are your chains? More importantly, why are you not in Hell?" Jeff would ask this as with a puzzled tone. Something doesn't add up, his response to this whole situation doesn't feel right, with this thought in mind Jeff would look at Shitoke using his limited energy sensory powers showing that not only is he not expelling any aura or reiatsu, but it's actually being sucked into him like a black hole. This leaves Jeff asking one final question, "What are you?"

Shitoke managed to smile to himself for a moment. The deflection worked! And even better his rapier had dispersed. Good riddance to it. That eye on it really creeped me out. Even when it wasn't looking around. But like everything in this fight though the tables had turned, they inevitably turned yet again and not in his favor. His arm got smacked out the way and then he was promptly tackled to the ground.

And boy did that hurt. Everything but his right arm. Though the sound of that metal shield hitting the floor and it's vibrations didn't make him feel any better. The rest of him though was aching, with the back of his head being the noticeable throb given that had hit before the rest of him. Worse yet in the heat of the moment he was dazed by this and his arms were stuck to the floor. Shitoke didn't need to know martial arts to know where this was going.

Jeff screamed at him about his weapons which actually made him stop all thought for a moment. They eat your en- And that's when Jeff's head slammed into his own. And wow did that hurt. Shitoke admittedly saw stars and bright lights from that. Say what you will about this man but every attack from him hurt like something else. And there was no way around the fact Shitoke had a concussion now. And that had to be noticeable even to Jeff as he was immensely slow to respond let alone understand what he was saying in that moment.

For the first time in this fight Shitoke finally decided he'd talk to the man in question. He was literally pinned to the ground and even his kido wasn't going to save him. Let alone another creation. Which honestly, he wasn't really up for the small lightning jolt that would go through him either from summoning it. "I'm a science experiment that ran away. . Besides I know I'm not normal but why would I have chains anymore? . . I escaped the Kasumi'Oji. . . unless. . Hell? What?" Shitoke couldn't make sense of things. The concussion aside, though it wasn't helping things, he didn't understand any of this.

Is that why the man had chains? Was he from Hell? Aside from the wierd mask he seemed human enough. . even the chains seemed normal, albiet a good bit darker and thicker than even he'd had on. And he still had the burn marks on his wrists and ankles to prove it. Ugh thinking hurt a LOT more than it usually did now. He really wished he could NOT be about to get the tar beat out of him. But Jeff had already proven that was his intention and Shitoke had mucked up his chance to defend himself. Still though perhaps if there was an opening he could summon something else?

Glancing at his shield it had started to crack and with a quiet squeal it shattered. Shitoke felt kinda bad honestly. The shield like him really hadn't wanted to die. Perhaps he could have maintained it? He really had to figure out that ability. Energy eating weapons. Definitely not the usual. And certainly not something he'd seen others use. Ah well that would be for another time. In the meantime he simply stared at Jeff, vision a bit fuzzy but otherwise keeping eye contact so he could at least see what would happen next.

Jeff will finally get an answer from the man he has pinned to the ground and it became quiet clear how hard Jeff smacked him with his own head. "I'm a science experiment that ran away. . Besides I know I'm not normal but why would I have chains anymore? . . I escaped the Kasumi'Oji. . . unless. . Hell? What?" This is the response Jeff gets and the pieces of the puzzle are finally being put together. Continuing to hold him down Jeff will think about the information he has gained before he does anything else, He's a science experiment that ran away who also doesn't seem to grasp the concept of Hell, he has been scared out of his wits the whole battle and clearly doesn't understand how to fight, is this man actually just a Child?


Staring deep into the eye's of Shitoke through his mask, Jeff waits a few seconds before finally asking the all important question. "How old are you?" As Jeff asks this it would be pretty obvious that he himself is unsure about his question, clearly hoping to be wrong. While he waits for the response Jeff would think about the rest of the information that Shitoke gave him. Who is the Kasumi'oji? Now that I think about it what did he mean by why would he have chains anymore, what did they do to him? Shitoke's response would decide everything that Jeff might do from this point on.



While waiting for Shitoke's response Jeff would notice the shield begin to crack, eventually shattering just like the sword he took from the Man. Huh, so that just happens after awhile, it wasn't just because I took it from him, good to know. It was pretty obvious that Shitoke was still scared, and to make matters worse he probably had a concussion, but Jeff was willing to wait for his response.

Jeff was finally starting to come into view again. Ugh seriously. Never again. I think I might prefer to have been battered and bruised as opposed to a concussion. . I'm not thinking that well. . ugh the headache is going to kill me before this person does. Shitoke then in a mild attempt to make his mind and sight clear a bit more shook his head. That only served to make the headache that much worse. At this point he was more than willing to just stay put. Even if Jeff left, he'd remain on the ground for awhile because this just wasn't going to go away any time soon.

However that's when he gives Jeff an ever more confused expression. Eyebrow lifted, a deep frown, and even his head tilting up at Jeff gave him the initial response. "Really?Why do you want to know?" He gave a sigh before deciding it was just a better idea to answer, lest he get hit again. "That's. . . a tough question to answer. I've been "around" for awhile, though my memory is vague. However being "awake" has been less than a year. A few months, maybe 4 now at the most. . . For what it's worth don't think about the body much. It was already around before I was put into it."

There were a couple questions burning in Shitoke's muddled mind. He was still curious just what Jeff was. Let alone who he was. And how he got here. He was several stories under the earth. Hell the battered greenhouse was one of a few used to be storage rooms with an elevator as the only means to and from. He was not somewhere just anyone could walk in. And try as he might to consider what might be the answer what little Shitoke knew really didn't amount to much. Mainly that "Yep that was a portal alright." and that was about it. Perhaps later on he'd figure it out when he looked into this but that was assuming he survived. Which odds may be looking up. Jeff hadn't slammed into him again yet so maybe there was hope?

Jeff finally got his response, and it definitely was not what he expected in any way, so now he had to piece it together while Shitoke was clearly not able to do much else but lay there. So, what I'm understanding is that he is an experiment and a child to boot? So does that mean I just beat a child in a close combat fight? The next thing Shitoke would see is Jeff letting go of his right arm wand slaps himself with his now free right hand. I can't believe I just harmed a child, what would have happened if I killed him? He doesn't deserve any punishment!


There was only one thing Jeff would do after slapping himself and learning more about the situation, he completely lets go of Shitoke's left arm and reaches down to hug the poor Childs face. "I'm sorry, I won't do anything like this to you again, tell you what, when I return to the pit I will even allow some other demons to whip me as my punishment." The last thing Jeff said with a little bit too much enthusiasm but it was hard to tell if the barely conscious Shitoke would catch that.



"Actually, I will do my best to not let anything harm you, first I need to figure out how a ritual works, but when I do I will make sure to do that and protect you. Since nobody else seems to care I will treat you as my own child. Rest for now, I must first get you somewhere safe and then sadly my time is nearing it's end, but fear not child, I will be back." While Jeff says this he will let go of his hug and stand up before bending down and scooping him up. Looking around he finally spots an elevator that must clearly head to somewhere safe. Heading over to the elevator he would open it before walking in while holding Shitoke in his arm's.



Pressing the first floor button Jeff would slowly lower Shitoke to the ground and put him in a sitting position against the back of the wall. "As much as this word disgusts me, with you I will make an exception, you may now call me Father." While speaking these words Jeff would get into a crouched position in order to be at face level with Shitoke before reaching up to take hi mask off. "Since I am now taking responsibility for you as a father you should know my face and what I truly look like." It was hard to say if Shitoke really got to see his face but before long something strange began to happen.



The chains connected to Jeff's wrist and ankles began to rise up, floating into the air until they were taught as they could possibly be. From where the chains seem to fade into nothing a door appeared taking up the entirety of the Elevator wall behind Jeff. "Before I go, I must ask for your name, for it would be horrible for a father not to know his son's name." Jeff would listen for any response while the door behind him opens inward, revealing fire and arms reaching out of the doorway, even the scent of cayenne would meet Shitoke's nose. No matter if he get's an answer or not the arms finally reach him, grabbing onto anything they could grip causing audible cracking and popping noises. Jeff could only manage to say one more thing before the door shuts with him being taken inside, and what he said was, "We will meet again, and I hope it to be soon son."
