Training for CTP _____________________
As of late Eleonora's day haven't being that eventful, now that she had a lot of free time on her hands the blonde doesn't know what to do with it, she spends most mornings sleeping all day so she can be more active in the night, while she doesn't consider a night owl lately she's been staying up to very late sometimes even reaching dawn.
The reason? Well spying on spiritual beings fighting Hollows of course! They seem to be more active during the night and it make sense in a way since not everyone was invisible for normal humans that aren't unaware of hollows and stuff, of course the Shinigami usually shrug it off and just fight them in the open as normal people can't see them but that's besides the point
In all honesty this has been a rather boring day for Eleonora mainly because she didn't got to do any training as she got to spend the after noon with some ex classmates from highschool, she normally would've said no but at the same time, just talking to normal people sometimes is a nice break of pace that she appreciates, she spend a good amount of time with them until the night start rising.
After parting ways the German walked up to a nearby park, it was oddly empty but she won't complain less people means more peace, the night was beautiful as the stars shine brightly in the dark sky and there was a cold breeze that set up a nice cozy mood, Eleonora sit on a bench and close her eyes enjoying the night.
"Who knows? Maybe there won't be hollows tonight and I can just stare at the sky until I feel sleepy" She said thinking out loud.
The candle’s flame flickered as Abaddon turned another page in the book he had been currently reading. The smell of old books lingered in the office that Abaddon had collected over the past months, being the last survivor of Las Arenas had one perk, the left over wealth that all had collected was there for him to take. While he wasn’t really ok with stealing the gold and wealth of those that he called family and friends it would serve better use spend on buying knowledge rather than wasting away to nothing in the eternal sands of Hueco mundo.
Abaddon’s eyes slowly drifted away from the pages of his book and saw the night sky from his apartment. Not a cloud in the sky a clear night like this wasn’t something that happened that often. With a solemn smile he closed the book he had been reading and blew out the candle. If the world was going to give him a clear night sky to observe the heavenly bodies then he wouldn’t waste the time reading a book by candle light. He would have to go somewhere else however as the light pollution from Karakura was too much to allow for a pristine view of the night sky.
Dressing as he normally does Abaddon grabbed a his black cloak to cover over the black suit he wore. With his white gloves he opened up the door to his apartment and left heading towards the park nearby. He knew that at the very least that the park would offer less light than the concrete buildings that made up karakura. His long bright golden locks reflected the bits of light that came off of street lamps as he made his way to the park. There was a slight crisp in the air as he walked the February night wondering what would come of this night.
Walking through the park he started to look upwards to try and see where the best spot would be to fully enjoy the night time sky. It was during this wandering that he heard a soft voice speak out. His orange eyes looked over and saw that there was someone sitting on a bench. There was a single world that caught his own attention, she had mentioned hollows. From what he could tell she was spiritually aware, however he wasn’t exactly sure what she was. His own reiatsu was mixed with that of hollow giving off an odd sensation. From where he stood he spoke clearly to the girl sitting down. “ I really wouldn’t count on that, hollows have the worst timing.”

Eleonora's eyes open as wide as plates the moment someone answer her question, that was definitely not something she was expecting and almost made her jump out of the bench, the blonde would take a deep breath and slowly turned around to look at who was addressing her, it was a rather tall man with bright blonde hair, she didn't pay much attention to his clothes as she was mostly distracted by the height of the man, even with some distance between them Eleonora could see the man was a walking tower, although he didn't seem like a bad person, if anything the tone he use to answer her was rather gentle.
"That they do, But it would be a shame considering the beautiful night" Said the girl "Then again I don't think they care about that" of course not, those mindless beast only care for one thing and that was feeding themselves
The German took a better look at the man, he was dressed rather elegantly which got the girl curious, but the important thing here was that she wanted to know what was this man, he definitely didn't look like a shinigami nor a Vandenreich Quincy but she wouldn't discard the latter just yet, in any case he was a spiritually aware and that meant one of two things, he was either an enemy or someone she could learn a thing or two, point was she rarely interacts with others that know about Hollows so this could be a nice opportunity for her!
Abaddon looked over the female and wondeered what someone was doing simply resting in the dark park at this time of the night. From what he could tell she wasn’t a hollow or arrancar, which really only left the other half a dozen races that she could be. From the lack of a glowing aura not a failure and with a quick glance he couldn’t see a sinner chain or limb so nothing from hell. Still as she had offered her own name Abaddon wouldn’t be rude and started to speak himself. “Hello Eleonora my name is Abaddon. It is a pleasure to meet you and know your enchanting name.”
It seemed that his fate was always to meet a spiritually aware individual whenever he went out, even in the most unlikely of places, such as a park in the middle of the night. “While you might be right about most hollows that they don’t care, there are some that would care.” Abaddon had first hand experience with those hollows that weren’t totally consumed with their own hunger. That being said he knew that most haven’t so his position on hollows wasn’t exactly popular, something that he would try to eventually change, if not for him for the memory of Las Arenas. It was something he could do for all those that took him in after his rebirth.
Well it seemed that Eleonora would be a possible recruit to Xcutiuon, however Abaddon still had to be cautious about it and figure out what she was and if she was worth bringing into the fold. “I apologize for being so blunt about this, but given how weak you seem spiritually how exactly do you know about hollows?” Abaddon’s question had another purpose behind it, depending on how she knew about hollows he could help ascertain her race without directly asking for it. Knowing that asking others what race they were could be a hot button topic depending on what they were or how they felt about other races.

Abaddon? Well that's a subtle name isn't it? While not fully knowing the story she knew that name as the one of a Demon and that definitely raise some flags, but seeing that he had not attack her and was confortable talking and giving his name and even compliment her the blonde felt he was trustworthy, at least for now.
The German saw the question and how the man was going to formulated the moment he excuse himself for being so blunt, between Luca saying that her spiritual pressure felt like she has just started a week ago and Abaddon going straight for the "how weak you seem" Eleonora would definitely start to train her spiritual side more just so people stop calling or implying she's weak.
"Well most of my knowledge comes from what my father told me" The blonde shrugged "Also I've been spying some confrontations between shinigamis and Hollows, being so "weak" means they don't pay too much attention to me" She laugh
That said while she wasn't too good at feeling other people spiritual pressure she knew that Abaddon was stronger and most importantly she still doesn't know to what spiritually aware race he belongs, while he doesn't look like a Shinigami that still leaves Quincy and fullbringer of which the latter isn't much of a problem but the first one may scream problems if he is part of the Vandenreich.
Abaddon carefully listened to what she said when answering his question. Her father had given her the information about the hollows, that and she had been spying on fights between Shinigami and hollows. If she had a father who knew about the spiritual world then it eliminated all but quincy and possibly bount or fullbringers. While both bounts and fullbringers could have spiritually aware fathers it was extremely unlikely that she was either. He knew for a fact that bounts tend not to be able to have children and being a fullbringer isn’t naturally genetic so the most obvious choice was a quincy, one of his own kind.
“So I’m going to assume that you’re a quincy then? The same as me.” Abaddon was going to make that assumption that she was a quincy and at the same time reveal the fact that he was as well. While it was a big risk he knew that it was worth it given that it would offer some trust between the two of them. While he waited to see what she would say he would take an upwards glance towards the vast sky seeing a bit of the cosmos above them. It was simple things like this that Abaddon missed the most before life got so complicated.
“It’s funny you know, looking up there into the infinite cosmos you start to understand how little we all really are. No matter what one does in the end time and space will render it all mute and pointless. To the vastness of the universe we’re just specks of dust violently trying to get it’s attention, yet no matter what anyone does the most we can do is just impact our little planet of the solar system we live in. Doesn’t it just make you feel so small Hanna?” It was as he uttered the name that he turned his gaze back to see who he was talking to.
Abaddon’s winced in pain for a moment as he raised a hand to his temple before speaking again. “Sorry, Eleonora… not Hanna….” While he was so absorbed in the nighttime sky he had slipped back in time in his mind. Back to a night when the sky was clear and there weren’t modern lights to darken the stars. He had been remembering a time when he was with his wife speaking as they enjoyed a spring night in the country side. A time before the fire, before he drowned in the lake, before he became a monster and did unspeakable things .

So he was a Quincy? For a second Eleonora smiled and raise an eyebrow, this would definitely prove to be an interesting meeting, if anything the blonde could learn a lot from this person and maybe get a better understanding of her powers, there was only one little problem that she realize after the initial excitement died down and of course was what kind of Quincy, her father always told her to avoid the Vandenreich and she won't ignore his advice.
"I am a Quincy, yes" For now she'll play along and try to see if Abaddon follows the "holy king" or as he said it's the same as her, she listened to his talk about the cosmos and while she agrees that looking up makes one feel small for the German that's nothing it concerns her "I agree, but my father said that one dies the moment their name is spoke for a last time, as long as we remain in the memory of our friends and family our lives can be as long and lasting as the stars above"
And also if one takes into account the soul cycle one can have a really nice life in Soul Society after passing from this world, of course that depends if they don't become Hollows and don't get purified by a Shinigami sword, that always sounded confusing to her, why only the Shinigami's sword can purify the hollow and not their arrows? Aren't Hollows killed anyway? Doesn't help that her last "adventure" she met a Fullbringer that straight out said the soul cycle wasn't a thing
"Of course that's what my dad believed, I don't know how much truth there is to it and who knows what goes into Soul Society after we move on" The girl sighed and look at the night sky losing herself in the beauty of the shining stars "Do you think there's something like Soul Society for us Quincies after passing? After all for what I know Shinigamis aren't in really good terms with us"
One of his eyes rose up as she made mention of some wisdom that her father said about them living a long time as long as their memory was carried on. It was a nice thought however he knew the truth, even with that time would eventually erode away the last whisper of what someone once was. Time will eventually bury everything that was someone and time will eventually erase everyone who knew you. Abaddon wasn’t about to say anything to her, if that’s what her father believed in then he wouldn’t crush her ideals so soon.
Abaddon chuckled at what Eleonora said about an afterlife for them. He more than any other quincy knew what waited for them in the afterlife. However he knew that his experience was clearly a different one than most went through. Before speaking he sat down besides her, his gloved hands came together as he took in a deep breath of the spring night air. “There is no special afterlife for us as quincy.” Abaddon said bluntly as he knew the truth. “We will all eventually die like everything else and then… well it just depends on fate for us.” He looked over to Eleonora with a soft smile across his face.
“If we’re lucky then a shingami will konso us without knowing we’re a quincy and we will arrive in the soul society. If our souls linger too long in the world of the living then…. well two things could happen, the first is we become the very hollows we are fated to fight, the other is that we get eaten by hollows. Still eventually our souls will return to the soul cycle to be reborn once again, just like humans and shingami. That is if…. you don’t foolishly follow the Vandenreich. Those fools have no afterlife, their souls return to the Emperor to become a source of power for him. “

Eleonora kept her focus on the stars above as she listen to what Abaddon said, she didn't mind him sitting next to her at this point he has shown to be trustworthy for now, but she would appreciate if he wasn't so blunt and direct, she didn't know what kind of answer was expecting but straight out going "if you get lucky you'll go to soul society" was definitely not.
"So basically becoming what we swore to fight... That's a bit sad..." Although there's the chance of going back to Soul Society if you're lucky enough to be slayed by a Shinigami while being a Hollow so there still was a bit of hope even in the end "I'd rather become a hollow than to pledge my entire existance to an "emperor" she said doing air quotes
She has not met a Vandenreich Quincy before but going by the things she heard and the stuff that her father told her (adding also that they were one of the reason they kept moving from place to place when she was a kid) they didn't sound like the kind of people she would like to meet, and being honest while she can respect the loyalty they show to their "Emperor" Eleonora can't help to think that it's a sad life losing your entire free will and to live and do solely for said emperor
"Life is already short enough, I'd rather do whatever I want and be myself, to leave a mark on my own rather than to be remember just as a tool"
Once more Abaddon had a bit of a chuckle when it came to what she said it terms of rather becoming a hollow than serving the false Emperor. Having gone down the path of becoming a hollow once he knew very well what that actually meant for someone. “Becareful with what you wish for…. Being a hollow isn’t as enjoyable as one would think.” Abaddon wouldn’t go into more of his own personal experience, however just thinking about it brought back the memories of endless hunger and rage to kill. It only ever settled down after he had slaughtered countless lives.
“You seem to misunderstand something, soul society isn’t a true afterlife. The soul society is a waiting room for souls before they go back into the soul cycle to be washed of all sins and memories before being reborn.” Abaddon turned his head to face Elenora and with a kind smile continued to speak. “Our afterlife is simply being reborn. Each one of us at one point in time was another soul, or a fragment of another. The Vandenreich are the only ones without a real afterlife, as their souls are just sucked into the Emperor.” It was as he said those things that he got quiet for a bit as he thought about all the souls he ate as a hollow, if he was purified by a shingami then all the souls would have been set free, but he instead did something else, he had become a quincy again. He had to wonder what became of all of those souls.
Eleonora’s words about wanting to leave a mark on life eventually got him back talking again. “Oh? You think you’re strong enough to do something like that? If that’s the case how about a friendly spar?” Abaddon’s offer had two motives behind it. The first was that he wanted to exercise to get his mind off of the train of thought of him dooming souls to not being reborn. The second was to see how strong she actually was and if she had worth in being recruited to Xcution. While he did want to bring in all the quincy that he could, it would be easier to do so if they were actually strong. It would make the paperwork go easier.

Soul stuff is confusing, Soul Society rather than a full after life sounds more like a waiting room afterlife, you go there and spend your afterlife until you are purify of your sin and be reborn, that begs the question as if once you reborn you retain your memories or you reborn in a new life and don't even know you have reborn? This gets confusing the more she thinks about it...
"So those who follow the emperor just vanish after dying, returning to the Vandenreich... Yeah all the more reasons to not follow said Emperor, even in death you're not truly free it's kind of sad if you ask me" The girl comment, she knew about the loyalty of the Vandenreich Quincies to the Emperor but she didn't think that even their souls belong to him, they are really tools
And then Abaddon ask her on a friendly sparring, that took the blonde for surprise as she did not expect to have a fight today even if it's just a sparring she's still new to her powers but this could be her chance to learn a thing or two from another Quincy, the girl stood up and look at Abaddon
"Sure, it would be good for me to start getting use to my powers" She said "So how are we doing this, any rules or something I should be aware of?"
Abaddon chuckled a bit at how giddy Eleonora seemed to be when the mention of training came up. While he wasn’t exactly sure as to how strong she was it would be a good thing for her to get some experience. At least if he found she was as weak as he assumed he could offer her a place in Xcution. It would be easy to have her learn everything he knew about quincy powers. Abaddon paused as he thought about what to answer for her question. When it came to training mostly there was an agreement between the two parties to not harm one another, however her question seemed to give him the idea that she wasn’t use to training.
“Mostly try not to kill the other, I’m just trying to see how strong you really are. “ Abaddon said as he took a few steps away dusting off his coat as he made sure that he was facing away from the bench. If they were going to train he didn’t want to destroy anything built by people. “When you’re ready come at me Eleonora.” Abaddon held two hands out as he waited for her to charge him. He was confident in his own skills, he was going to try to be reactive to test out her skill.

Well she can definitely do the "not kill the other" part mainly because she's not particularly strong nor she's carrying her bow which means she can't do much outside of throwing punches, she does know that some Quincy can make a bow of Reiatsu but since she just starting getting the hang of making arrows making a bow was out of the question, well at the very least she could put to test her resiliency and skill on hand to hand combat.
She took a stance crouching a bit and raising her arms in front of her body with her fist together and covering part of his face, this was known in boxing as the Peek-a-Boo stance it is a defensive style that mainly protects the face and makes it easier to throw fast jabs, normally it is counter focus style and being that Abaddon is asking her to go first it's probably not the best style to go on but she'll figure something out.
The German would take a couple of quick steps to close the gap between them and when she was close enough Eleonora would throw two quick jabs with her left hand and then crouching before rising with an uppercut with her right hand, whether she hit or not the blonde would plant both feet firm on the ground raise her guard again and start moving her upper body from side to side and see how Abaddon would respond.
Abaddon watched as Eleonora took steps forward with her hands raised up, it was strange to see that another quincy was about to throw punches. He knew that he was definitely different than most being able to hold his own when it came to physical attacks, so to see another quincy try this method was definitely strange. Either way he wasn’t that worried about it, especially after he saw the speed that she was throwing the first punch at him. To say that he was watching her throw the blow in slow motion wasn’t an exaggeration. Her speed wasn’t bad, however it paled in comparison to the things he had seen.
With the first left handed jab coming at him, he took a step back quickly to avoid the blow as well as the one coming right after it. Opening his right hand he moved it right towards the path of the uppercut that was coming his way. The moment that the blow came into contact with his open palm he would wrap his fingers around her fist holding it there so that she couldn’t pull back. He did this for two reasons, the first was to test the strength she had when it came to her strikes, the second was to see what she would do when she was trapped.
With his left hand he moved down an open palm chop to the side of her neck. He deliberately moved his strike to be just a bit faster than what she was, however it wasn’t something that she couldn’t react to. He was also holding back on the strength behind the blow, if it made contact with her it would feel more like an annoying tap than an actual hit. This was the best way to test her, or at least the best way he could think of. His strikes wouldn’t do real damage, however each one would show him what her responses to different situations were.
Post by Eleonora Schmidt on Aug 21, 2021 21:31:58 GMT -5
Eleonora didn't know what to expect after throwing the first couple of punches, being honest she knew that Abbadon was leagues above her but she thought that maybe could land a hit at the very least, not only did he dodge the two jabs but he also caught her uppercut and no matter how much she tried to move her right hand wasn't leaving the hold of her opponent.
And Abaddon didn't lose time to counterattack, as the blonde was trying to move and regain some distance she saw the hand of the Quincy moving to her neck in a chop motion, she didn't have much time to think of how to defend and purely on instinct she decided to push forward and put all her weight against Abaddon and try to push him to the ground, if succesful she would land on top of him and to try and force him to release her right hand the German would throw a punch aimed at the stomach.
Even if she succeeds Eleonora knows she's outmatched and being this close could be problematic, she needs to create some distance and think her moves more carefully rather than to rush in again, being in the offensive and keeping said offensive is harder than what it sounds when you barely understand your abilities and your opponent has way more experience than you.
