It’s night time in the Silbern. The stark white buildings contrast the night sky, almost giving an eerie glow to light the way for the faithful. Wilhelm Kohler stood within the Grand Courtroom of the Emperor, at the bottom of the steps to the throne. He did not take his seat as a General of the Vandenreich as he refused to dirty the seat. He would only have to clean it again, ensuring it’s spotless, pristine condition once more. He already had enough issue keeping the floor clean by using Hirenyaku in order to levitate off the ground by a millimeter in order to keep him from dirtying the Emperor’s floor.
As he awaited the arrival of his two loyal Captain’s, knowing that after sending his messengers in the night, that they would hold the discretion the Emperor sought in this matter. To destroy a treacherous heathen was one thing, but the Emperor needed to look infallible after having recruited a hollow into the Vandenreich. To lose so many other recruits and soldiers after only an hour of the heresy having been committed was another…
Wilhelm thought long about this as he awaited them, his stark white uniform blending in with the walls and only being different from them by his Quincy cross attaching his coat together on his right shoulder. His hair, usually neatly combed, was unusually disheveled as he had answered the Emperor’s call immediately, having no time to tidy himself after his slumber. His face looked weary with worry, even though the Emperor seemed very calm during their meeting about the mission that was to take place. Wilhelm recalled their conversation while in wait...
”Wilhelm all will be calmly handled and in good faith. I know the concept escapes you, but we must be patient.”
“My Emperor, I don’t understand. How did we lose so many so quickly?”
”I do not entirely know myself. I saw flashes of the white sands of Hueco Mundo and then nothing. Perhaps it is something your subordinates will find out and report to me. And remember Wilhelm. I want this defector alive…”
Wilhelm remembered the Emperor’s usually calm and almost prophetically loving face turning to a sneer for a moment. But before Wilhelm could entirely absorb the image, it was gone. It troubled Wilhelm to this moment, but he owed the Emperor so much. To think such of him was heresy to most and blasphemous to the rest. The Emperor was their saving grace, and now it was their time to serve him faithfully.
”You did what?! I told you, only rescue the captured, not kill the capters! Now HE will be coming for us![/color]
“Worry not. I will snuff out him and all his toy soldiers just the same….” Laughter from many filled the dark void in which they spoke while one other grumbled worryingly.
The letter came down from the sky something that only happened when a particular Vandenreich sent out a letter. He opened the letter with one hand and saw what it was, a letter personally summoning him to the throne room of the Emperor. It had been too long since he had been in the presence of the Emperor. There was a sense of glee in his twisted smile as he cracked his neck to stretch it out. For a moment he was silent till he let out a soft chuckle that filled the shipping container that he standing in.
Edward took another step towards the cowering man who was wearing a quincy cross, with each step the warm blood of the others he had killed clung to the bottom of his boots. The smell of blood was heavy in the room, the simple light flicked as Edward’s teal eyes glowed in a sickening glee, his face turning to a twisted smile as a blade went flying into the stomach of the cowering quincy. A loud wet thud was heard the moment the impact happened, blood poured out from the fresh wound. Using his strength Edward crushed the man’s ankle under his boot heel as he slowly leaned over the now pinned down quincy.
“The Emperor calls me, so consider yourself lucky that your execution by me will be swift and not prolonged. Even a runaway like you has been given mercy by his majesty. Now pray to him and plead for his forgiveness as you become part of his grace.” Edward gripped the handle of the blade that was in the stomach of the quincy, with one quick montion he twisted the blade and forced it to cut clean up through the man’s torso to his head. The man’s body fell over and as Edward was consumed by the shadows to return to the silburn he looked over at the inside of the container to see a name written on the crates and the inside of the container. XCUTION
He chuckled to himself as the shadows swallowed him to return him to his office. The runway tried to escape the Executioner by running to his own Xcution. This organization will be next on his list as they seemed to be employing fullbringers and other runways. Those free quincy will be converted or executed by his hands and the fullbringers will be taught to fear the Vandenreich. Still that would be a task for later as he didn’t want to keep the Emperor waiting for him. The god of the Vandenreich and all quincy had called for him, so he shall respond.
Edward quickly changed his uniform as not to drag the blood of those that had soiled the name of the Emperor into his halls. He wore the typical uniform, with an exception of a teal shirt under his uniform, while he enjoyed the white, he didn’t care for the undershirts as they felt cheap and rather dull. With the death of Amalia, Edward was the highest ranking Sternritter still active in the field. Entering the hall of the Emperor he looked around and only saw a single Vandenreich standing there and not the Emperor himself. Edward scowled as he saw this man, he had been called for by the Emperor not another quincy.

It had been a day of recuperation for the heir to the Dantes family. Lucien lived apart from his biological family, in a manor home befitting a Captain-Supervisor with his attendants, servants and doctors to monitor his condition. The home was filled with the rhythm of classical music as Lucien sat before the Grand Piano in the manor's ballroom, his fingers elegantly and easily moving from key to key and chord to chord, in a performance of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata (yes, I'm a plebian who doesn't know much Classical music. Shush you). The Quincy's eyes were closed as his attention was devoted entirely to his music. Yet with finely honed ears, trained to detect the slightest imperfection in his own melody, he did not fail to notice the sound of the ballroom door opening, and the click of it close. Though his senses were not honed enough to determine exactly who it was of his attendants, he could take note of the steps moving across the vast ballroom floor towards the pianist at his work.
Lucien paused now, and ceased playing. His servants were always close at hand, to attend him should he have need of them, but they rarely interrupted him. Perhaps it was force of habit? After many years of ignoring Lucien it was second nature to them? But such thoughts were unkind, and Lucien would expect and hope the best of his servants. Golden eyes opened and he turned his head, with a gentle smile on his face. "Yes? What is the matter?"
"My lord. An urgent summons, it is claimed it comes on the behalf of our Lord. He has a task for you." Lucien's eyes grew stern. A summons from the Emperor-- even if it came through the Sternritter, was nothing to be ignored, or delayed. "Then I shall not keep him waiting. Pray fetch my formal uniform, and meet me in the entrance hall. If I am going to the Palace for official business, I will not disgrace his halls by approaching so casually." Lucien commanded, as he rose from the piano bench and folded the cover over the keys. Lucien immediately began to advance alongside his servant to the Ballroom doors, stripping free his vest as he went, and handing it off to his servant to place back in his room while they gathered his uniform. Already Lucien was unbuttoning his shirt by the time he reached the entrance hall. He never received visitors. His servants and doctors attended to him, taking his home attire as he was instead given his Vandenreich uniform, and Captain Supervisor's cloak. Pressed, clean and whole. Lucien dressed quickly, adjusting the cloak and fastening its clasp; the star of the Vandenreich. "Keep the home in working order please. I shall return as his Majesty permits." And with that, Lucien was gone, advancing up towards the Palace that towered above the Sillbern where their Lord and Master resided.
As Lucien passed the Palace's front gates he held himself rigid and straight. No imperfection in his form. A Captain-Supervisor of the Vandenreich must be perfect. To strive for perfection in all things, even in so minor a matter as posture. The guards saluted Lucien as he passed, and climbed the endless steps of the Palace. In the beginning-- when he was still training, Lucien had needed a doctor to accompany him, for the exertion of climbing so many steps, and navigating so many hallways, had been entirely too much for Lucien's frail constitution, but as Lucien had grown in strength and control, this was sufficient to keep his condition under control, though he could not help but cough several times as he climbed. Fortunately, after three days of recuperation after his last work in the field, Lucien was in as good health as he reasonably could be. Pale faced, and frail looking, but determined.
At last, Lucien entered the hall of the Emperor and found but two others in this room. Lucien bowed and kneeled. First before the General, and then before Edward. "My lords." Lucien stated calmly, and collectedly. "I have been informed that His Majesty has need of me. And I shall answer his will." He stated quietly, but clearly. And resolutely. In this moment, Lucien Dantes did not exist. Instead a Captain Supervisor kneeled in his place, awaiting permission that he might rise in the presence of his two betters.

Wilhelm merely stared at Edward as he approached, his eyes cold and showing no emotion. He would not let his own face betray his worry as he awaited the second to be called to arrive. Edward's scowl was not the only thing Wilhelm held in distaste but also his lack of decorum along with the smell of blood upon him. He may have been wearing different clothes but those with keen senses would still smell it on Edward's hair and skin.
"You will kneel before receiving instruction from His Majesty's General."
As Wilhelm finished speaking, he saw the quick approach of one of the blind faithful. Wilhelm could tell Lucien had only just begun to recuperate from his last mission, still looking frail. It was not his place however to question the Emperor's decision about who to send on this mission. "You may rise, Lucien Dantes. You have both been specifically chosen by our Lord to carry out a mission of extreme importance and discretion. You are to speak of it to noone but I or the Emperor. If you do, well you know the consequences, don't you Edward."
Wilhelm gave an almost leering smile as he thought about the pain it could bring. But the smile was gone in a flash as he regained his composure quickly. He then explained how the Emperor had attempted to gain sight of a hollow who had been converted but performed heresy by blocking the Emperor's sight. "And what's worse... our Lord could not stop them from killing our soldiers and new recruits in Hueco Mundo. It pains him deeply..." Wilhelm knew this was rhetoric but for the faithful such as Lucien it might be needed to ensure he would follow the missions needs more closely and keep the faith throughout. One so weak with illness needed to be kept on a shorter leash, even if it did not seem so to the one wearing the collar.
Wilhelm finished his briefing with several leads that the two could follow. "There are some free Quincy in the world of the living who are said to know some secrets about Hueco Mundo, pr you could simply follow the camps that were destroyed in Hueco Mundo. Your choice. For the Emperor." Wilhelm seemed to go stiff with his last sentence, going to a position of attention and awaiting any questions the two might have for him. He knew it wasn't the Vamdenreich way to ask too many questions but this assignment was peculiar in both origin and synopsis. To not ask questions would be foolish.
After Lucian arrived in the throne room Edward kneeled before Baal, while he didn’t like kneeling before Baal as he wasn’t the emperor he knew very well that the general held the authority only second to the Emperor himself. Edward listened to the entire speech that Baal had, it seemed that there had been some hollow that had been once a Vandenreich soldier, that had a slight connection to the Emperor. If this was really the case then it would be possible that said hollow would be able to connect the Emperor to all former Vandenreich that had been converted or ran away, making his job of tracking down those betrayers easier. Edward smiled at the prospect to be able to track down some more betrayers.
They had been given an option to go to either the human world and track down some free quincy that had forgotten their place, or to go to Hueco Mundo. To Edward the answer was clear, he would make short work of the free quincy and make them spill their secrets as well as give them the option to join or die. While the option had been given to the two of them given his rank Edward was in charge of this mission. Lucian wasn’t exactly lower in rank, however because of the title Stern Ritter he was the one in charge.
With the mission given Edward rose and looked at the empty throne rather disappointed, wondering when the next time it would be when the Emperor would grace him with his presence. “Come.” Edward said to Lucian in an authoritative tone, this would be the first time that Edward had interacted with the man. Edward didn’t fraternize with the other members of the Vandenreich that often, for him if he didn’t spend time training he was watching anime, that left very little time for a social life. Especially if he wanted to keep the fact that he was an otaku from all the rest of the Vandenreich, who knew what would happen if that information were to leak out.
The shadows would engulf both of them and in a matter of moments they would arrive in the world of the living. The two would arrive in Karakura town, a familiar place to Edward. Many spiritually aware individuals lived here and there were plenty of chances to either convert them or slaughter those that thought that they could leave the Emperor. Edward closed his eyes for a moment and allowed his suppressed energy sensory take over, suddenly everything within the city could be sensed he could pin point out all those races that were walking about. It wasn’t hard to sense out another group of quincy, those that lacked the grace of the Emperor in their reiatsu. “Come, there are some free quincy this way.” Edward said as he opened his eyes and started towards where he sensed the free quincy.

At Baal's word Lucien rose to his feet again, still standing at attention, hands folded behind his back which was straight as an arrow. At his command for absolute discretion, Lucien answered simply and succinctly. "Yes my Lord." A short, militant answer. One expected of a soldier. "Sir" might have normally qualified in a normal military, but this was the Vandenreich after-all. My Lord seemed more appropriate for the circumstances. Lucien understood the briefing, and at once understood the problem. If anything a dark shadow wisped into his mind at the knowledge that there was a creature capable of blocking out the Emperor's sight. "Then this creature's existence is a blasphemy and its eradication must be imminent. As the Emperor's sword, I shall carry this task out with expediency and respect to his wishes." Lucien vowed before the two Sternritter.
Baal elaborated and explained to the two on their potential leads, and it seemed that Edward had determined which lead to follow. As Edward outranked him, and barring any further instruction from Baal, Lucien approached Edward as he commanded, and disappeared at once into the shadows. While Lucien would have preferred to opt to Hueco Mundo-- the path of greatest expediency, as well as a path by which the least amount of blood would need to be shed, Edward clearly differed, for Lucien identified the obvious trappings of the human world at once. Lucien copied Edward's immediate approach to practically a T, letting his own senses extend out to detect the various races throughout Karakura. Though Edward noticed them a hair faster with his superior Energy Sensory, it was not hard for Lucien to notice them as well.
When Edward beckoned and began moving, Lucien addressed the Sternritter. "What are your designs for them, my Lord Edward?" He asked. "Are they to be stamped out? Or is it that we should respect their status as members of the Quincy race and offer them the Emperor's olive branch, and a chance to atone their sins first?" And for that matter. "Regardless of your decision, how would you have me proceed? I do not mind discussion with them, but if battle breaks out would you have me deal with them? Or would you prefer to defeat them yourself?"

As the two turned to leave, Baal gave a smile and a very quiet sigh of relief. He did not know how they might have taken the weakness of the emperor, but it seemed they did not question it to an end that might be disastrous. He knew of the dangers the two now faced but if they turned on the Emperor and decided to take this information further... No. It wouldn't destroy the Empire of the Vandenreich. But it would most certainly not help the situation, that much was for sure. But seeing as the situation was soundly under control, Baal began to float upon his Hierenyaku away to his chamber, not touching the floor with his clean boots.
In the World of the Living, in Karakura town, as the two Vandenreich Supervisory Captains arrived in the skies above, several Quincy felt their presence. All of them of the Free variety, and headed underground quickly. There were even a few children and mothers among the men who ushered the rest of them to safety, trying to bar the tunnels underneath the western territory of the town's wilderness fringe. All but one tunnel were destroyed in an effort to further conceal them, and that was the tunnel facing a river. This would be an easy route of escape with the water to both hide their scent and rapidly transport them if needed. That meant the children of course.
As they prepared themselves for what surely felt to be an undeniably powerful foe, the leader of this group sat at the middle of the underground compound. His grey hair and wrinkled forehead with liver spots sweated, his hands on his Quincy cross in prayer. He knew that this might be a fight to the death should they come after all of these people under his watch, however like anything that as lived, he did not wish to die. He kept this truth to himself as he used his energy sensory to follow the movements of the Vandenreich, his a bit lower than the two of them, however still near enough to be able to follow them accurately.
In Hueco Mundo, something stirred within the sands surrounding Los Noches. There were whispers of a plot to ensure that the Emperor of the Vandenreich would never set foot inside of Hueco Mundo again. In fact, the growing rumor was that noone should every fear a Quincy within the realm again and that the Emperor would regret ever using his powers in this realm. For they had a secret weapon to defeat the strength of his subjugation. One that would keep those filthy eyes from ever peering inside "her" head ever again. That was atleast what this arrancar said as she sat upon her throne within a hollowed out tree, surrounded by her ever growing number of comrades.
Edward looked at Lucien and spoke “Our Emperor has already offered his hand to all quincy to raise them from their own weakness. Those that haven’t taken his hand instead insult and cast aside the aid and the glory that is our Emperor. All we need is one alive, the rest will die in fear and terror.” Edward didn’t have time to deal with the masses of free quincy that dared to insult the honor of the Vandenreich by daring to be a resistance of his majesty’s magnificence. Edward’s ability to sense energy allowed him to see where the free quincy were and he could tell the strength of them all.
He watched as they all ran in fear underground and tried to seal off the tunnel as a hope to not be followed into their base. “Like rats they scurry under our feat in tunnels of earth. Those tunnels will be their tomb.” Edward said in a calm and collected manor as he took a deep breath in and drew in reiatsu from the area around into his cross and his mask fragment. Running underground was the worst thing to do against Edward, there was no escape if someone did so. It was their own fault for thinking that anywhere was safe from the Vandenreich, if they had simply laid down and offered their lives Edward wouldn’t show them the horror he was about to unleash upon them.
His gaze didn’t flatter as he forced out his reiatsu and started to use gravitational pressure, those much weaker than Edward would instantly fall to the floor and die or lay dying due to it. Death would come quick to them however simply crushing them with his own gravitational pressure wasn’t what would kill all of them, no he had a specific technique for this. Edward raised his left leg up and then slammed in down into the earth with all the strength that he could muster. The resulting impact created a massive earthquake that started to shake the ground all around them.
Under the ground everything would shake as the earth started to fall and break. Those tunnels that they called home and safe would soon start to collapse and fall upon the helpless and still barely living quincy. Edward knew that this wouldn’t simply kill someone of equal strength, but it would lead to mass death of all those trash mobs that clung to life after not being killed by his gravitational pressure. The screams of terror and panic couldn’t be heard through the constant shaking of the earth. Edward however could sense as each life slowly died and he relished knowing that this army of free quincies would soon be reduced to one.

Lucien gave a stiff nod of the head. "As you wish my Lord. I shall abide by your judgement then." He replied. There was a time and place to bandy philosophy and discuss the true meaning of the Emperor's Will and Desire. It was not during a mission. True, Lucien wished to change the view of many Vandenreich to a more accepting one. One willing to offer the olive branch. This was neither the time, nor the place. If Lord Edward would have it be so, Lucien would make it so, if commanded. He may experience remorse or sorrow at it. But it would be so. Lucien may have been a bleeding heart, and kinder and more merciful than most Vandenreich, but he was still a Vandenreich. He was a soldier. And he would carry out his orders.
Though it seemed Lucien would not have to do so this time, watching Edward create an earthquake. Felt the Sternritter's spirit pressure crushing everything around him. Lucien merely closed his eyes and waited, feeling the spiritual presence disappear one by one. He raised his hand over his heart, where the symbol of the Vandenreich hung, placing it there gently. "May the Emperor take their deaths as penitence for their folly, and have mercy on their souls." Lucien murmured in a quiet prayer. Edward seemed intent to leave only one remaining, but he stayed alert for the possibility of others that may have survived. Edward's attack would be plenty sufficient to kill most, but the most dangerous and hardy of adversaries may have been able to endure it. "If you will handle the interrogation my Lord, I shall take vigil for a possible counterattack, that you may devote your full focus and attention on the survivor. There may yet be some among them talented at stealth, or the stronger among them may have succeeded in sending out a distress signal before their demise. It would be fortuitous for us if their allies were to come to us, but not at the expense of the survivor's information." Lucien advised, his bow appearing in his hand, as he surveyed the area for the best locations to keep watch from, and determining the ideal angles one might attack from.
"Or if you prefer, I will handle the interrogation and disposal of the survivor, if you would keep vigil. In either case I believe it would be ideal for one of us to stand watch whilst the interrogation is taking place, as a precautionary measure. Were I leading this group of renegades, knowing that we of the Vandenreich were coming, I would nkeep those best suited to avoiding detection as a separate unit, so that if the main group were found it would not compromise the entirety of the movement. It may be that they have no such individuals and that my precautions are unfounded, but I have oft found that underestimating an adversary is the surest, and occasionally only means by which they can successfully retaliate. I do not intend to give this one such an opening."

As the walls began to shake, the Elder's eyes flared and he took in a deep breath. "They will attack women and children...." The words flashed through his mind, remembering the one who had approached him, bringing him news of the betrayal she sought against the Emperor. He knew she would most likely be right, and that was why he made the tunnel. He though it sufficiently reinforced but obviously he had been very wrong. And as the rocks fell around him, the Elder bowed his head and began a prayer for those that would now suffer beyond being dead for what he would need to do. "I thank you for your sacrifice my children... And I am sorry for the destruction your bodies will further endure..." He then aimed his hands, covered in white and black gloves, to the sky, summoning two massive bows of light that seemed to pull themselves back and fire into the air.
Above ground, the two would notice two large arrows, flying towards them at extreme speeds. The hole in the ground carved out by these arrows would be ten feet by twelve feet and they would notice and old man, with long grey hair braided along his back slowly rise up, even against the gravitational press. They would also notice that all but three spiritual signals had extinguished in the rubble beneath them, the three being small and weak while also seeming to be in a state of distress and further, dying. The old man had a scowl on his face, and his body was currently covered in a long light brown cloak, shielding most of his body from view. However, his hands and bows were very visible, the bows each pointed at them, one bow for one Vandenreich.
On each hand was, for those of the two that would know, a Sanrei glove. To have such powerful trinkets and for each hand was phenomenal, showing what strength the man might actually have to wield them both. "YOU UP THERE!" The old man called out, breathing heavily under the gravitational push. "LEAVE US TO BURY OUR DEAD PROPERLY! YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO EXTINGUISH WOMEN AND CHILDREN!" He waited for their answer, although he knew they would most likely take the opportunity to gloat and throw their swill of loving the Emperor upon him. However this was a part of his plan. Get their attention and their pride focused on him.
Twenty meters to the south of the old man were three more Quincy, lining up their shots with their bows, compressing their spiritual pressure to keep themselves from being noticed. They sweated underneath their black garbs, head to toe cloaked in the darkness they hid within. They had a chance, and only one. They aimed for the biggest threat, the one who easily crushed the ground without lifting a finger. Their hands gripped tightly to their bows and strings until finally, they loosed them, one aiming for the heart, another for the head, and the last for the stomach. And they prayed for success.
OLD MAN HP: 3000/3500 Spiritual Energy: 5000/5250 Assassin1: 250/250 Spiritual Energy:950/1000 Assassin2: 250/250 Spiritual Energy:950/1000 Assassin3: 150/150 Spiritual Energy:950/1000
Looking over to Lucien Edward raised a single hand up towards his side as a motion for Lucien to stop speaking for the moment. Edward wasn’t dismissing what Lucien was saying, however there was a time and place to speak about their plans and right now it wasn’t it. Edward could sense that there was at least one living being under the earth, this being had survived, which meant at the very least he was strong as some of the captain level Vandenreich. “After we have the prisoner we will discuss this.” Edward said in a cold and stern tone, himself getting ready for the fight that was going to come. It would be hard to simply capture someone and not outright kill them.
As he spoke he sensed that something was coming towards them from underground. Edward lifted his heel up and then slammed down with all the strength he could muster creating a shockwave coming downwards to intercept the arrows that were coming right at them. The clash between the arrows and shockwave would create a much larger hole in the ground under them then what would have been created by just the arrows alone. While arrows were strong, Edward’s shockwaves were stronger by far, this was what he would use to break quincy, arrows were used by those that were weak.
Edward looked down at the single man that had survived his ability to crush down those below with his own spiritual pressure. The man was clearly past his prime and had two Sanrei gloves, obviously a sign of his own weakness as only those that needed the boost of those gloves actually used them. With two bows aimed at the two of them Edward could tell that this old timer wanted to end this as quickly as possible. However Edward could easily tell that the old man wasn’t exactly alone, using his energy sensory he was able to sense three other sources of energy building up. “Lucian take care of the rift raft hiding, I’ll deal with the old man.”
With that said Edward acted using Hirenkyaku to quickly dash right intfornt of the old man, closing the gap between the two of them in a mere instant. At the same time that he was using Hirenkyaku to close the gap, Edward’s right hand went out with fingers extended. His right hand would be jabbing right at the old man’s right shoulder joint. This strike wasn’t a simple jab thrown out however it had a shockwave of force coming with it. Unlike the other shockwaves this one was more refined down and would be only slighting larger than the size of Edward’s hand, however it was no less lethal. If it made contact with the man’s body the sheer impact alone would cause the bones and muscles of the man’s arm turn to mush rendering that arm useless.

(ooc: Lucien's post will be assuming the Assassins have roughly 100 physical strength and an inferior Offensive Stat. If this is not the case, I will adjust on my subsequent post).
As Lucien suspected there would be some resistance yet. "As you wish, My Lord." Lucien replied, now beginning to draw in reiatsu from his surroundings through his spirit fragment and Quincy Cross. The stealthed Quincy had their shot, but had targeted Lord Edward instead of Lucien, leaving the lower ranked Vandenreich free to track the locations of them the moment they released their arrows. I hope this is quick. For their sake. Lucien's bow whirled in-hand as he rounded about and loosed an arrow at the centermost target, vanishing in the same instant with the Dia-Aufnahme. The arrow was Class three, and it was aimed directly at the point Lucien had sensed the reiatsu. His arrows sliced the air, and if the Quincy that had fired on Edward didn't move, the strike would pierce his heart. But that was unfortunately not the only thing that would happen here. The moment the arrow neared the Quincy, Lucien abruptly exploded out of the arrow's shadow with a quick, brutal and savage punch to the Quincy's chest. If the assassin was of more average strength, the experience would be much like getting struck by a charging rhinoceros, the impact caving in his chest, and crushing his heart. Death would not be instant, but it would come quickly all the same. If that wasn't enough, as Lucien struck him he activated his soul property, and with his blow, giving the Quincy's shirt the properties of one of Lucien's arrows..
One. Lucien utilized Hirenkyaku to then move from the first assassin to the next, appearing right on top of him, his hand a hairbreadth from the Quincy's chest. Lucien seized the Quincy's shirt and ripped him bodily through the air, and slammed him with immense force into the ground. This was not some clean Judo toss, or Aikido throw. This was an untrained slam driven by nothing more than pure physical might. Like the first, Lucien would use his Soul Property on the shirt he seized. Two. He then used a final Hirenkyaku to fly to the remaining point he sensed the Quincy's reiatsu. If the Quincy was foolish enough to stay in one place while Lucien dispatched his comrades, Lucien would be slightly more personal this one, with an amateurish but still fast uppercut to the jaw to try and smash his chin up, followed by an equally amateurish but equally fast jab to the throat, in an attempt to crush his trachea. If Lucien was successful, he would attempt to circle around to the Assassin and put him into a chokehold. Squeezing tightly and then twisting sharply to break the assassin's neck. A quick, clean, humane execution that would not leave the assassin suffocating or choking on his own blood. At the same time, Lucien then used the power granted to the Vandenreich-- the power to detonate their arrows, on the shirts of both Quincy he had struck moments before, in a blast that would likely obliterate them entirely, killing both nearly instantly. Lucien did not like to draw out his kills. Pain and suffering were the things he sought to fight in the world. While such things were inevitable, he could at least make his murders quick, to minimize them both.
Of course, while Lucien's initial two kill attempts had been extremely rapid, leaving little time for either Quincy to reposition, it was possible that in the time it would take him to execute these techniques on the first two Quincy, the third might try to slip away. In that case, upon his second Hirenkyaku, Lucien would reach out with his energy sensory in an attempt to pick up on the presence of the third, and track him down. The Vandenreich was all about ending fights quickly, and he intended to carry through on that now.
