Azami didn't find herself with much to do. Assigned to a squad with very little activity, most of her tasks were menial in lack of better terms. Sure, she helped the nurses in the infirmary for the most part, but she knew that she didn't get to do as much as any other squad members. She never got missions to the real world, instead sneaking into it whenever she can. Her interactions with other squads were forced, like her assignment today. It came written on a letter she found near the mailbox of her dorm. A special invitation, as it read, to become introduced to the 13th squad.
Now, Azami knew that in general she'd have to be working closely with other squads, but she didn't really even know what the thirteenth squad was responsible for. It was touched on briefly in her classes, but she couldn't be assed to remember at the moment. That would definitely become a headache if she was expected to be doing something intense for them. It was definitely going to be the type of situation where another squad has asked for a high ranking member for her squad to be present for medical reasons, but since her division was mostly vacant, it got passed down the tens of empty positions to Azami. Azami was not in any way currently capable of actually acting as anything more than a secretary for the squad, so they'd probably send her back to her dorm after they took a look at her.
At least she probably wouldn't actually have to work that day, unless they knew what they were getting into. If worst came to worst, maybe she'd learn a thing to do. If not, she'd just pip off and go to a human world mall. Much to be done and plenty of time for it to be done, and so her stress was mostly nerves.
From the letter, she was supposed to be meeting a seated member of the 13th division. Again, she still found herself struggling with all of the honorifics, positions and everything in that nature regarding Shinigami politics. It was the class worst reflected in her grades. Azami passed the course naturally, but it was definitely an outlier of a mark.
As had been requested, Azami trotted all the way over to the 13th division headquarters and came to rest in the courtyard under a tree. She didn't know why the meeting place was the courtyard in particularly, but the area was scenic enough. Scenic enough, in fact, for Azami to slowly feel herself drifting off into a daydream as the vernal setting comforted her in the memories of her past.
