While business was blooming back at the Club there were several things that needed to be taken cared of. Controlling the underworld of a city was hard work considering that there was so much going all at once. Revenge plots, Sex trafficking, smuggling illegal products and weapons, and the ever growing society that used all of this. Members of these crime organizations came and went, often needing the Bounts to imprint their control phrases onto them so they are more controllable. One of the more important aspects that the criminals tend to rely on was that of the drug trade, using the poor to spread it, and to build up their own Empires with the capital that it brings in. This had to be put to an end. Aura saw the effects of Cocaine, Meth, etc. People being locked up, or those who were their usual costumers would be in the rooms to abuse the products, which would fuel their addictions. And once this addiction settled in, then these Humans would go to do anything it took to nurse it regardless of the cost.
This was why Aura had to step in a lot with the Bounts that Eris trained. Aura was serving as the face of this new Covenant, one that was looking to aspire change in Karakura. The goal was to control the darkness that lingered within Karakura, coming to find a few members of the syndicates having to be spiritually sensitive. Some were easier to negotiate with, and others needed to be persuaded through force. Not a method that Aura wanted to use, but it had its uses in the end. Breaking a few bones, threatening families, the works. Humans were troublesome until they have something that they believe to be irreplaceable. The Humans that she typically dealt with were among the sort that still had their humanity, a sense that she would help to escalate them to higher positions in their respective groups. Better to have those loyal out of gratitude and honesty than that of fear, or mind control. They had a lot of uses.
It made her job easier to deal with, though today, this night, there were some groups that were newly formed, and were causing trouble. A few Humans that wanted to push the dealing of narcotics to the younger generations in order to gain. Human children that were going to be drowned in this crap, used as the medium between the clients and dealers. A dangerous job to do for someone so young without realizing the greater dangers that lingered around the corner. Aura had to put a stop to this, which is why the small group of Bounts were moving into the warehouse district. A new batch of drugs were being shipped, using stuffed animals to smuggle the product into the city. Four Bounts in total, Aura making one of the vampiretic members in the group. A cloudy night sky, large ships coming and going with a number of horns flaring out into the quiet port.
The small pack of Bounts lingered on the adjacent roof top, watching the Humans using various machines to carry their cargo into the warehouse. Forklifts, skidding across the ground hauling in their newest shipment to be processed before loading them into their respective trucks. The Bount found it disgusting how the Humans could do this to their own people, poisoning them with a substance that would slowly destroy them from the inside out. To see those Humans take in the narcotics into their systems, willing to ruin their own families, people who are so close to them, in order to feed this crazed addiction. Though, Aura could see how they were similar to herself. For them to have something inside them that craves, that desires to obtain something so much, without the ability to truly control their actions. They were like animals trapped in their own skins.
She jumped off the ledge, having her body sink into the shadows that were made by the lights lining along the buildings side. Her fellow Bounts followed, sticking close to their Head as they moved around from shadow to connected shadow to better position themselves. They had to get into the building, cut off their escape, and make sure that the trucks didn't leave the port towards the city. They needed to do all of this while killing off their guards, which wouldn't be difficult. The four Bounts split themselves apart, each one taking a different objective. Aura had already explained to the group what the objective was this time around, as the others would come after they dealt with the intrusion onto their territory. The Humans of Karakura were falling into the Bounts jurisdiction, to protect them from would due them harm in any particular manner. All the more reason why those that Aura had selected were to live while the others were disposable. With that in mind Aura had unveiled herself from the shadows at the rear of the warehouse, with a ghastly figure following her closely behind her, "Gentlemen, welcome." she stated.
The shadow behind the Bount sprung to life, baring its longated arms to cover the woman's frontal half as the Humans drew their guns. Bam Bam Flares of light flashed with each time the triggers of their firearms were squeezed. Each bullet whistled on by, pinging before being deflected off the surface of the shadow's arms. Some were deflected off the numerous edges of the arms, pinging them back to where the continuous volleys originated from. A few Humans cried out as the hot lead struck them, while others ran for protective cover. The sound of gunfire drew attention of those around the warehouse, even going as far as serving as a signal for the trucks. It didn't matter if they were filled up to their desired capacity considering what the situation was, and what their haul was. The goal was not to get caught for them. Inevitably, that was what would end up happening regardless.
New screams filled the air as Humans were being slain, driven down to the ground by apparitions unseen by the naked Human eyes. All that could be seen were the transparent shadows that went rampant on those firing their weapons. Dolls, manifestations of the Bounts soul taking form that fought side by side as much as they existed with each other. The small number of Bounts that Eris had trained to fight were brought with Aura to deal with matters such as these, while the others remained at the Citadel to keep it safe while on Club duty. They needed the work out just as much as the Bounts needed to settle scores with the crime rate in the city. They had to put a stop to it. What they found out for this day was only one case that had to be dealt with. With what happened here will help the Bounts to trace it back to its origins, and deal with the issue there. Though, this was only a small issue compared to the others that would come along as dealing with one Drug Lord would only invite another to take their place.
That was the thought that came across Aura's mind. At least, there would be one less drug lord in the world. Getting rid of white powder was still a feat that she could be proud of. Kids won't have to go off to sell out. They would be kept out of danger, and substance abusers would be forced to stay clean as the Bounts continued to mop up all other sources within Karakura. Hopefully, at least hopefully that this would force them to confront their issues rather than drowning them in the white powder. It was only a temporary solution, and one that was sorely hazardous in the long run. Human blood was spilled this day, and she knew that it wouldn't be the last. But, in Aura's eyes she didn't see Humans being killed. Nah. What she saw were nothing more than monsters pretending to be Humans. Empty shells that only resembled Humans, much like Gigais that the Shinigami use, just without a soul in them. Aura honestly felt nothing for them.
A series of crashes was heard outside of the warehouse, then explosions. Another Doll was waiting outside waiting to ambush the trucks to prevent them from escaping. Turned over, or crushed entirely by the weight dropped on top of them, the vehicles weren't going anywhere with their product, let alone the people that were a part of the whole scenario. Once the trucks were stopped, two of the Bounts carried on their duties to the ship that delivered the cargo. There could be no one left alive that was a part of the whole smuggling operation. At least on the Gangs side. The crew of the ship were not to be harmed, but interrogated to see what they knew, with force if necessary. As for those that were working in the warehouse, only three were needed to stay alive for the time being. A grunt. A Lieutenant. And lastly a Leader. There were usually at least three different ranks that were present in operations like these. Three ranks that were needed for the cross referencing if they were willing to hand over the information. If not, then some persuasion was needed.
The Bounts needed to know who else was involved in these dealings. Who was involved, how were they involved, where did the product come from, and how much was already there. Simple questions that could be answered while the smaller details would come from some cross referencing. While that went on, whatever product that was there would be destroyed. Burned away, blended with the salty sea, or given to the authorities for the Humans to deal with. Two of the options were taken, half of the narcotics going to the Police while the remainder went to be drowned by the ocean. As for the survivors, they would be sent on their way with some memories altered, and implanted with their mental suggestions. This made it easier for them to be controlled, and better put to use when needed in the future. Aura had to find out where these narcotics came from, and deal with their chain.
