Abaddon opened his eyes and the vast emptiness of Hueco Mundo came to greet him. He looked around and there was nothing for miles say for the white sands of the desert and the almost empty black sky. His eyes focused on the lone waxing crescent moon that hung above in the sky. This lone object was the only thing that somehow gave light to all of Hueco Mundo. Abaddon could feel the warm sand under his feet, with the darkness all around him felt warm and familiar he felt a strange sense of peace here.
The stillness of Heuco mundo was unreal, in the human world there was countless distractions and noise that made it hard to simply stop and feel the world for what it was. Yet here in the vast nothingness Abaddon could feel everything that the world had to offer and while he was a quincy he felt more at ease here than he had ever felt elsewhere. He wondered why as he started to walk, his feet sinking into the warm sand. He wasn’t heading anywhere in particular, just simply walking without purpose. He would walk for hours without feeling tired, all the while he looked out at the emptiness, yet drawn towards a particular location.
Over a hill he saw it, a strange sight in the desert of Hueco Mundo. There in the emptiness he saw a single tree and a small lake surrounded by strange and unusual flora. It was a small oasis in the middle of the world, without knowing why he was drawn to it. Making his way over to the oasis he saw the water reflecting the moon in it. Not knowing why he slowly went over to look at himself in the water. That’s when he saw it, his flesh was black, his limbs long and unnatural, and over his face was a white mask that told him that he was a hollow.
The sudden shock of seeing himself as a hollow again forced Abaddon to wake up. His body was surrounded in a cold sweat. Looking over at the digital clock that was on his bedstand he saw that it was still very early. The clock showed that it was five fifteen A.M. There he stood upright in his bed trying to figure out why he had such a strange dream, however everything he thought of brought him nothing that he could consider an adequate answer to his question. As a gust of cold air drifted over his sweat coated body he felt a chill go down his body.
It was after this gust of air caused a chill that he decided that it would be best to take a shower. He quietly opened the door of his bedroom and looked out towards the dark hallway, he knew that Mon should still be sleeping and he didn’t want to wake her. He made his way as quietly as he could to the bathroom and started up the warm water, letting it soak his body as he tried to warm up and rinse off the sweat that had built up over the night. It took a bit of time, however he would finish showering, using a towel to cover himself he went back to his room to get dressed.
Abaddon put on a pair of black dress pants, a long sleeved white dress shirt with a black tie over it. While he wasn’t going out just yet instead of the normal suit he placed on a black dress vest matching his pants over the white shirt. A black belt with matching black leather shoes were slipped on, the last thing he placed on was the white gloves he always wore, that and a mild oakwood cologne, that he had chosen as the one he would use today. With that he was dressed and ready to leave his room and head into the living room.
While it was still early, between his shower and him getting dressed a bit of time had passed. He didn’t know if Mon was still sleeping so he tried to be quiet as he walked passed what he assumed was where she made her bed and into the kitchen. Grabbing a large pan he cracked open several eggs cooking them as he went to grab bacon from the fridge. The smells of bacon, eggs and fresh pancakes would fill the air of his apartment. Abaddon made plenty for himself, Mon and hopefully Shizuka if she would actually respond to the email that he had sent last night.
