Thread Title: To Carry One's Hate [Cinematic] Participants: Elke, Ashisu World: Human World Death Setting: Death Enabled Rating: R Location: Karakura Forest Special Conditions: None Circumstances: What more is there to tell. A half demon that needs to silence members of the possible Vandenreich trackers within Karakura. One who left them due to her own circumstances. Both tied to the hate for the Empire. Both that know what they truly on and have aspired to grow to fulfill their own hate. But that hate has guided them towards each other, as well as the lingering scent of the Empire that remains imprinted on them. It is here that this comes to an end.
It lingered in the air for quite sometime. The scent of that wretched Empire was strong in the wind. Both having their presence felt as the crossroads of their driven hate for the Empire could be what aspired the situation to take place. Both born into the same organization. Both having a life stolen from them. False beliefs and years spent under the thumb of those that wanted nothing more than to use them for their own purposes. Both having seen what the Empire was truly like beneath their words of wisdom. A sweet taste of nectar and honey of a near carefree lifestyle that they would fallen into just like the others. Their minds would never have come to the realization that the life that they lived was only an illusion formulated by their young underdeveloped minds. A realization that would soon come to shatter the false imagery of the truth for the pair to create the storm that would be built inside them. A storm forged by relentless hate and rage for what had occurred to them. A storm that the other stood in the way of.
A half demon Quincy project to create a superior form of Soldat that could be used to eliminate the Shinigami, to remove all those that would stand in the way of the Vandenreich. A tool. A monster that was to be controlled and to be disposed of when needed. Elke was to be that very weapon born of a Quincy woman who was suppose to insure the project remained as planned. She was to raise it, teach it, and nurture its overall development into the refined scapel that the Vandenreich would need to subdue the enemies of the Empire with resilience, dedication, and relentless force. However, it wasn't so. A child was still a child nevertheless. Feelings that could not be suppressed by Elke or that of the other children who saw her as anything but natural. A monster who looked like a Human. A Wolf in Sheeps wool. A girl who was a Sinner, a creature that was touched by evil. Something that had to be ridiculed and destroyed.
For a family that was seen as dedicated and as loyal as any other family belonging to the Vandenreich, Ashisu's family served without hesitation in their commitments to the Empire. Serving as Inquisitors who hunted and silenced the Rogue Quincies who would dare to speak out against their Lord, their God. Ashisu saw nothing but heroism from her parents and the light that their God had blessed them with because of their devotion. Faith was what led them. However, it wasn't as so. In their service they saw the truth. The supposed falsehoods weren't as false as they were made out to be. The truth that they followed was warped and sullied by the same evils that they were meant to never be committed. The lies piled over more lies. Executions that were to make sense didn't hold up in their minds. And so, her family ran. They ran because they knew the truth about the Empire. A truth that they didn't catch on, as much as the others refused to believe in themselves. So they ran. They can until they were caught, and executed. Only Ashisu remained. Only she remained to be taken in by a Shinigami. A Shinigami that explained the story of their two organizations. The truth of the matter.
Both driven by their own experiences with the Vandenreich. Both robbed of something important by the Empire. A life of lies constructed by that of her mother, and by that of the Empire. A family stolen by the very people that they thought to be friends, who were under the orders by the very God they served full heartedly. The two shared in their pain and hate for the Empire, sensing the lingering reiatsu that those that belonged to the Vandenreich carried with them. There was no way to mistaken it for another sort of Quincy. Their time within the Empire only made their senses more keen as to notice such a subtle difference between their kind. It is here now that they stare into the others eyes at the crossroads. One with a desire to secure her vengeance with her own hands. Another who desires nothing more but to silence a possible member of the Vandenreich before more come. Both unable to peel themselves away from the situation. Both that wanted nothing more but to fulfill that desire to kill.
Two quills formed and pulled. Two bolts of light gathered into their shape from linger particles of limited reishi within the surrounding area. Both released. A splatter of light and reiatsu residue painted the dirt and tree bark around the point of impact. Two Quincies that knew what the other was capable of naturally as members of the Vandenreich, with two minds focused on tiring out the other. The heavy tree lines the two ran into made it nearly impossible to obtain a clear shot of the other. Ashisu closing the distance with an arrow propped and ready to go. Elke rushed forward with a similar strategy in mind. The two catching the sight of the other's eyes as their quills were released. Wood skin splintered and erupted from the surfaces of the tree bases with an explosion of force. Two Quincies catching the other in front of them, engaging what some wouldn't really consider to do. A frontal assault with a blurred motion of fists and kicks.
Both exchanged, Ashisu keeping a foot of distance from Elke's actual person, swaying the swinging fists off to the side as the half demon engaged. Elke not wanting to put too much power into her blows didn't want to be caught off balance by her own swings, wanting to keep an eye out in case of retaliation. The difference was clear as who had the upper hand in terms of skill, Ashisu trying to utilize as little strength as possible to propel the demon's energy away from herself. Because as the fists and kicks kept coming in she began to notice the difference in their strength; Elke had superior physical strength than that of Ashisu. She could hold off the Nakkabaki for sometime, flicking her wrist to jettison Elke's fist up into the air to deliver a blow with her elbow directly into the armpit. A soft spot that muscle couldn't really guard as it gave her easier access to Elke's joint. A blow by pushing into the flesh with a pointed section of bone that would cause a bit of numbing for the Sinner. Elke was at a disadvantage here.
But not to say that Ashisu had her own share of weaknesses. The more that Elke pursued with her physical strikes, the more noticeable it became of her enemy's struggle to keep herself from wincing. The girl was covered up in bandages, meaning that there were wounds that weren't fully healed. A layer of skin that was still sensitive to the touch, more or less to that of a curled up fist scraping against redirected movements. Elke couldn't tell what sort of wounds they were considering that there wasn't blood leaking from beneath the white bandages. Wounds that would probably already healed to some degree, but not entirely. If it caused Ashisu to wince in pain from a strong sense of contact, then surely they were still in the process of recovering. Elke had her targets if she couldn't make a for sure hit.
The two were nearly evenly matched as their strengths were gradually becoming more known to the other, while their weaknesses became more apparent. Both Quincies targeted these specific weaknesses whether it was from old wounds or another's speed. For them, there was no reason to talk as the two didn't not care to trade a few words of those that they were going to kill. No reason to give the other time to collect themselves. They were there for one specific purpose; to kill a member of the Vandenreich.
Their hate for the Vandenreich was deep. Living both in the past and in the present, the two were synced to each other by their boiling fumes of anger that splintered from their reiatsu. Elke's drive to silence the Vandenreich member before she could report back, driven the by the Osen to purge the woman from her sight. Horns extending out and being used to smash into Ashisu's scalp. The disgust of how effective her altered form was becoming made her want to vomit. To be actually grateful to the very characteristics she resented all her life. When drawing the fight to hand to hand, they became something to be watched out for when the Sinner's head came close to that of the raging Quincy.
Ashisu's vivid imagery of her parents being burned alive, hearing their screams, seeing that the woman in front of her belonged to that horrid race of Human beings only made her want to rip the girl's face off. It didn't matter to her if her appearance was different from the rest of them. It didn't matter if her reiatsu was stronger than her own. All that mattered was that she was presented with an opportunity to kill one of them. Whisking back her palms, directing the oncoming blows, she found her opening to inject her left elbow into the Quincy's midsection. A pointed thrust with the tip of her elbow made her foe gasp for a moment before cropping up her forearm, and charging into a shoulder slam on the same side.
A short combination of small strikes were just as good as using big flashy moves. Her fighting style wasn't meant to end a fight in a single decisive strike, but to add to the impact with a combination of blows. Death by a thousand slashes was better than putting all hopes in a single move. Ashisu went about a fight in making small motions that would connect rather putting herself at risk by exerting herself with heavy kicks or punches. Moves like those often held signals that her opponents could read, and leave herself wide open. While her hits aren't strong at all, they at least give her a means to counter quickly despite being so close to her opponent. Like she was taught by her older brother, that the best defense is a good offense. With this, she managed to do both at once.
But, there were drawbacks to fighting like this. Ashisu's burns would get in the way a lot. A lot of her body parts were very sensitive to the touch. Not sexually sensitive like as if she was gonna be moaning or anything like that. But her wounds made her uncomfortable and a bit tender on the painful aspect. Her skin throbbed, it pulsed whenever it came into contact with any hard surface. That was why she covered it up with bandages soaked in ointment to better relax it. Despite being years ago, the burning sensation of her wounds wouldn't go away. And it was thanks to Terris that she was able to fight despite her condition being as is.
Elke's fatigue was getting to her as much as Ashisu's burnt skin. Neither one was capable of holding out for a long period of time, though to their surprise that the other wasn't utilizing the most powerful gifts that were bestowed upon them by the Empire. Was this a form of insult? This only infuriated the two, forcing their bows to manifest and be pulled to target the one across from them. Bows whipped and released again to clash into each other, and resulting in another arrow bolt to be formed with the shattering particles of the other's broken arrow. Tree's splinter and shattered upon impact as their remains started to litter the ground in which they trampled on. Sections of open space being created with the falling of thick heavy stems collapsed and tumbled over. Each of them having to keep an eye on the falling trees around them as much as the enemy that was making them fall.
It would not be long before their reiatsu reserves would be depleted. The world around them didn't support much reishi given the material that the objects around them were comprised of. This wasn't Silbern or some sort of spiritual plane that they could use to create the projectiles they needed to kill their foe. Fatigue was settling in. It was apparent who was going to last longer. Elke had a second nature that was driving her. Ashisu spent a majority of her days drinking. Their training regiments came to an abrupt end at point in time, yet one had to survive by their own resolve and skill. She had to fight each day to survive while the other piggy backed from others while in a drunken stupor for most of her time. The outcome was clear the longer the fight was dragged out, but neither one willing to back down against their most hated enemy. Only a matter of time until the pool of blood came gushing out from Ashisu's lips.
Both panting, sweating. Both stared into the others eyes with sheer determination driving them. That and the dream of the other laying the pool of their own blood. They had to overcome what stood before them. Ashisu had to put this Quincy scum down or she couldn't be able to bring down the Empire. A single Quincy that would stop her here meant that she didn't have what it takes to kill the others. How could she? If she was weak, then she would never accomplish her dream. Her parents would never be avenged. That thought sparked life into her legs again, pushing her forward to cock back her fist to get it ready for another swing at Elke.
The Sinner had the same resolve to match that of her rival. The utter betrayal of her faith and her existence brought her into the position that she was facing now. Her life thrown out because she was deemed a failure. Her usefulness was made utterly pointless because she could not be controlled. After all the effort and pain she went through, she was cast away and sentenced to death. Her mother, whom she trusted, never loved her. She was an outcast the moment she was born. Elke couldn't afford to be taken back, or to be killed until she got her reasoning as to why. Why was she cast out? Why bother having her despite knowing full well that she was never wanted. Why all for the Empire? If she was never wanted, then why was she born? Was this part of their God's will? She needed the answers. She had to live.
This was why they had to push themselves. Elke kicked about and charged forward. Ashisu's stamina was already gone, using up what her anger was able to provide to her. The signs of fatigue were there. Reiatsu was nearly depleted with only a single shot left for both. Ashius' only advantage was that of her reiatsu, which was almost gone. Of the two of them, Elke would be able to fight regardless if she was able to fire an arrow or not. This was the advantage she had over Ashisu, and the problem that a majority of Quincy faced. Elke knew this. And so she used that knowledge to exhaust her foe. She had to push one more time to finish it all.
The two of them charged in. The two Quincies charged in at the other with nothing more than what they desired to achieve, and the slipping rage that drove them to clash. The Chinese woman attempted to sway the oncoming motions of Elke's fists aiming for her center. A solid palm to shove it away, but the other Quincy kept her balance. She kept her composure and pushed forward despite their pace severely dropping. Two girls huffing and puffing, nearly coming to a complete wheeze as they struggle to breath. Only the reflection of the Vandenreich was what resided in their eyes. Elke had to make that push to get inside to make use of her strength and remaining reiatsu. She had to force Ashisu to exhaust herself entirely of any resources.
Ashisu caught the incoming motion as she was going to inch forward. The distance between them was closing in fast and Ashisu did not have the space between them to even use her combination attacks. She would have to take a direct hit first before she could counter. And that was the realization, she lacked the physical strength to fight her off if she made contact. There was no other choice. She darted off to the side, risking the possible sprain to her heel, having already decided to move forward. But regardless, it happened. A sudden shift in her movement in an irregular position caused her ankle to be twisted. A jolt of pain rushed upwards causing a small yelp that came from up core.
She cried out for but a moment before coming back as to why she did it. She pulled her hands together to ready her shot. A formulation of reiatsu particles from around her body came to shape themselves into the weapon she needed. Her bow had been summoned as well as an arrow the more she pulled back on her quill. The spear like tip of the energy bolt was steadied for the moment, then released. Elke's eyes brightened as the light of the arrow came towards her at blinding speed. However, Ashisu's failing body had come to lower her aim downwards, having the arrow smash into Elke's right shoulder. Blood splattered over the tree bark behind her. Elke snapped back believing she was hit somewhere vital, but no, only the throbbing pain in her shoulder made her realize that she was okay.
It was only a matter of time before the two were on top of each other wrestling with what meager strength that had left. This time around both were drained. Or so it was thought. One clean hit, all Ashisu could do was push in on the wound that the Quincy received and then use a blunt object to finish the rest. She lacked any form of energy to really choke the woman to death. All that she could use was what was around herself. Nails dug into the burning wound, blood coming to be squeezed out from it. Elke screamed as the force of air that came from the woman pushing into her wound. A stick being found, snapped at the end to make it into a stabbing weapon. This was Ashisu' best course of action right now. And with it, her first victory that she secured over the Vandenreich. She did it.
A pool of crimson fluid that came forth from the impact of a hand held arrow that Elke formed from the palm of her hand, creating the bow from behind Ashisu's backside. All Elke had to do was pull on the cord to create it before releasing the small hive of reiatsu through the girl's body. Point blank through the chest, the bandaged girl could only feel the lifelessness that made her limbs fall limp. Energy that was escaping her body quickly as her veins could no longer keep the needed amount that was required to operate. Her thoughts and sights becoming clouded by the coming darkness willfully embracing her. "I guess..... I won't be taking the damn Empire down with me.....eh?"
Elke's eyes widened. Someone.....Someone who was like her. The hatred that Ashisu held in her eyes had faded. The light kept inside their alluring gaze reflected Elke's own imagery, reflecting someone who was similar to her. If they had met sooner. If they had been there when things got bad, the two could have very well been sisters. If their hate hadn't driven them to do such a thing, then quite possibly they would have had a friend who could help them. Someone that wouldn't have made them feel like what they were doing was wrong. Someone who would been able to understand the anger that was eating at their souls. Someone. "Don't worry.... I'll get them back. That I promise you, my sister." Elke said with a mournful smile. The two shared a single laugh before having to put the other to rest.
"I'll make sure, for you, for me, that I will get them back for what they have done. I swear to you. So please, sleep." Elke said with tears in her eyes. She did not know Ashisu. She did not know who she was as a person. But she wanted to. A connection was there between them. Someone who fought as hard as she did despite being in pain, tired, physically fatigued to the point pushing herself well past of having no reiatsu at all. The amount of willpower that she had to keep herself going to insure that she won. She was in the same amount of pain that Elke was. Whatever the Vandenreich did to her, to those around her, must have been Hell. She only wish she got to meet her sooner than today. Nevertheless, she had to keep going. Not only for herself, but to her new found sister today. Elke had to be the one to carry on her will.
Ashisu's head came to rest gently on the ground before Elke's lips parted ways. She would carry the will of her dead friend. She will carry the will of her dead sister. And to insure that she wouldn't forget it she came to do what she did with the Hollow back in Karakura. In the shadows of the thick tree brushes overhead, only a wet crunch could be heard within the woods. A wet crunch to help the Sinner fill her belly, and a taste that won't leave her mind ever. A sin that she will carry with her for the rest of her life, and the memory of family that managed to make for but a moment.

Sorry, but to quote the rules...
You must write at least 25 paragraphs for this thread to be counted.
You have 13 right now so you need 12 more.
Also, is Ashisu the one who's dying but Elke just helped? That's what I'm reading but I don't want to kill off the wrong person! Also because Elke will get rewards for the thread.
