Rin seemed to pout further as she watched that distant far away look in Ranth’s face. Slowly, she’d let go and tilt her head before looking to Sho and back to Ranth. “Helloooo my little lamb?” She playfully called out to him, hugging his arm tighter. She even snapped a finger in front of his face. “As your Empress, I require a little more enthusiasm than just a nod!” And she watched him with a mock stern expression. Sho merely looked at Ranth not nearly as impressed by their display and huffed, turning around. “..How about that drink then?” He waved his hand, signaling them over to the bar.
Rin would follow along, taking Ranth by the hand. “Come.” She commanded him, motioning her head to the bar. He would have no choice. The almighty Empress insisted! Upon getting closer to the bar, Ranth would see a man, somewhat cloaked, face obscured. He was by himself and he had a drink held in his hand in front of him. He seemed to be deep in thought. Rin would take her seat, eagerly awaiting a cocktail of some sort and if and when Ranth would sit, he might just notice the other man’s head turn slightly in his direction.
“So you told your friend absolutely nothing about me or this place… I couldn’t be more proud.” She’d look to Ranth with a wistful smile, nodding her head in their mock bartender’s direction. “Sho found me when around the time when I arrived in the Rukongai alone.” The owner who’d been behind the bar started pulling out bottles, examining them. He opened his mouth, ready to yell from the top of his lung to one of his other bartenders for help but slumped helplessly, shrugging it off. Too much effort. He’d figure out a drink for the both of them. Happily he’d pull out two glasses and start whistling while shuffling though bottles and mixing things around. “Before I encountered anyone from Squad 7, I was here, helping out around the inn a—”, “-And you were miserable as all hell unless it came to troublesome guests..” He’d quickly interjected with a pointed look. “Then the day came where I’d see those Shinigami and—“,”And she’d stop breaking my expensive shit and harassing me. This really wasn’t the life for her. Really.”
In that moment, he’d slammed Rin’s glass down, giving her an Old Fashioned. For Ranth, he looked at the male, pondering for a while before deciding to keep it simple. Filling his glass with gin and dropping a lime wedge in it, keeping it neat. “The Omoikane is a place where one comes for information on anything. Hence the name~” He winked to Ranth, finally answering his earlier question. He watched Ranth carefully just in case he had another little outburst like the one before. “The worst of the worst come here for intel on all kinds of things. Anything you’re curious about, you might be able to find information about it here.”
Sho leaned on the table looking to Rin. “I don’t see why you want to go back. You got out alive.” Her jovial demeanor diminished as Sho would question her further. “Ever since I left, I’ve been getting disgusting, ugly little nightmares with hollow chasing me like vermin. I hear whispers about it. I hardly sleep now.” She scoffed, annoyed and pissed off at whatever phenomenon was plaguing her. “The last time I got any proper rest was whe—“ And then she’d stop herself, face turning red as she looked to Ranth from the side before huffing and turning away. Ah yes.. The day they'd gone training and falling asleep in his arms. Those memories were fresh despite it being a week since then. Rin would start to fidget nervously in her seat like a nervous school girl and puff her cheeks, looking down in her lap. “N-Not that anyone cares or its their business! Hmph!” Sho would look to Ranth with confusion not taking his eyes off of him while Rin spoke.. “I need to follow this and I won’t be alone this time. It’s real Sho. I swear it is. Take us there?” He’d ponder for a moment, thinking of something silly and grinning wide.
“I will on the condition that your uptight, scary friend gets tipsy and apologizes to me for being all Shinigami like.”
