"It's a pretty big house, I've gotta admit. You're a lot stronger than I am. I've got a LOT of work to do before I'm even close to where you are... I would love to see what you're capable of! It'll be the best way to see what I have to look forward to!"

"Well, when you house as many people as I do, you have a reason for a big house. Within these walls, I have a Hollow who works as my Shadow and a Mod Soul who I.... Hmm." Shizuka trailed off. She didn't know how to describe Hebika. The two of them weren't dating anymore and Hebika only stayed sometimes, but they definitely used to have... relations. "Her name is Hebika. She's great to train with." That worked.

Shizuka led Raph to her basement where the sparring platform was. If anything ever broke, it was able to be replaced easily. Shizuka and Luke were guilty of that when they trained. They liked to use their full strength against each other because they could handle it. For this exercise, it was going to be a lot of Shizuka showing off and trying to see just how much Raph could keep up with. That wouldn't stress him out too much. When Shizuka first discovered her powers, she was equally as lost and tried desperately to figure everything out. She just happened to be lucky because the guy she was with at the time was also a Fullbringer and got her the job she has today.

Once they were up on the platform, Shizuka let her eyes wander for something to play with. Fullbringers could use abilities like Soul Command, but she was going to show him what Soul Dominance looked like. Finally deciding on the ground beneath Raph, she eyed and focused on it before raising her hand above her head. Simultaneously, the ground beneath Raph lifted up about twenty feet. The size of the pillar was quite large at about nine feet wide. It looked like a stone cylinder. Shizuka smiled and dropped her hand, bringing the pillar back down into the ground where it nested. That ability was highly specific to her own race, but she wanted to show it off anyway.

"This is Soul Dominance. It's a significantly more powerful version of Soul Command, which was what I used back where we were eating. With this, I can do things like..." A smirk passed over the woman's face as she tilted her head and flicked her hand in a downwards motion, using her Soul Dominance to latch onto the soul within Raph's clothes and slam him into the ground. It wasn't hard enough to massively injure him, but it would hurt a little. "I just can't control the personal belongings or Releases that people have. Though I've actually used corpses as puppets before, but only because they're dead."

This technique is an expansion of the basic racial ability of Fullbringers to manipulate Souls. Through extra training, the user of this technique can manipulate souls on a much more grand scale. This technique costs 150 Reiatsu and, as a result, can actually achieve combat useful manipulations. This technique can be used to manipulate raw elements up to the size of the user. It still cannot manipulate release weapons, and cannot manipulate the personal effects of an opponent such as clothing if there is not Reiatsu Strength Superiority.

At the mention of her housing a lot of people, Raphael couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow, not that it mattered. She was here, offering to train him out of the goodness of her heart. She didn’t have to, after all, and could’ve left him at the ramen shop without any answers or anything for him to try and build on, but she hadn’t. She mentioned that she had a hollow that worked for her, making Raph’s single raised eyebrow become two raised eyebrows. That was…odd. He’d never known hollows to be reasonable, or anything other than man-eating monsters. Then she mentioned a mod-soul, whatever that was, who was named Hebika that was great to train with. He couldn’t help but notice the way that she seemed to trip before giving the name, though. Was a bit odd, to him.

He followed her into her home, through it and down to the basement, where there was some kind of platform, a training area of some sort. Right before they got onto the platform, Raphael stretched a bit, his legs especially. He hated it when they were too stiff, especially before something like this. He remembered once when he’d neglected to do so before gym class and hoo boy had he regretted that day. Then again, that was when he’d first begun realizing that he was different from the other kids in his class. Outrunning everyone, even the football players and the track star. The PE teacher had suggested signing up for track, but he wasn’t interested. It wasn’t worth his time.

Or at least so he’d thought at the time. He’d preferred to focus on the esoteric, the hidden knowledge that he was certain existed in the world right under his nose. Now, however, he was beginning to learn that the knowledge wasn’t esoteric. Quite the opposite in fact, it was knowledge that everyone rather needed to know. Maybe the whole “X-men Academy” and “Witch and Wizard School” wasn’t a bad thing. Education, or rather, the right education, was important in knowing how to handle certain situations, though hollows tended to be their own animal altogether and one couldn’t exactly trust on specific knowledge to save them from anything but the basics.

Once they were up on the actual platform itself, she seemed to want to mess with him, suddenly raising the ground beneath his feet quite high. He struggled for a few moments to stay on his feet and opted, instead, to lie down and hold onto the pillar being raised. He was now up about twenty feet in the air and slowly pushed himself, a bit shakily, to his feet. There was a bit of fear, some minor thing that gnawed at the back of his head, but there was an excitement and elation in the pit of his stomach that was spreading out through his body. This was amazing and incredible. While it didn’t violate any natural laws that he could see, it was certainly different from practically anything he’d seen. It was amazing. Hell even the name was badass: Soul Dominance. Raphael saw potential in this technique, in this Dominance. That was when he felt his clothes suddenly wrench him to the ground, as if some incredible force was pulling him downward with a fair bit of force, knocking the wind out of him as he landed.

He coughed, as he slowly pushed himself back up to his feet and tugged lightly at his shirt. It couldn’t control personal effects or the…he could only assume powers, that others had, mostly limited to warping things not attached to people. Her admission to using corpses as puppets made him cringe a bit. He didn’t like the idea of making the dead fight. They were dead, and their bodies deserved a bit of rest where their spirits got none. It aggravated him only somewhat.

“I’m slightly speechless. I’ve got questions forming in my head, ideas and other such things, but they’re all so formless and erratic. I don’t know what this can fully do, how far it can be pushed, how much strength I’ll need to access it, though I’d imagine that the strength thing is substantial. Not to mention you. I know that you’re strong, much MUCH stronger than I am, and I can’t help but ponder how you got this powerful. All the things you must’ve gone through. The battles you must’ve seen and you’ve done it all with substantial prowess like this and whatever your own ability does… It’s just a lot to try and take in. There are so many questions I have… So much I want to learn, even though practically all of it is impossible at this juncture…” He ran a hand through his hair once and looked at her. “You’ll forgive me if I’m rambling, it’s just like a new world has been opened up and I’m not fully sure what to do with all the contents of it… But I really want to learn, now more than ever.” His smile was genuine, warm and hungry. He had to learn more about this power that she exhibited. This was going to consume his thoughts and work until he could figure out how to do this. It was the only bad thing about him learning something new like this.

Shizuka noticed Raph coughing a bit and decided not to push him too far. She often times forgot just how strong she was these days, but that wouldn't necessarily affect how she used her techniques. They tended to be fairly stuck when it came to ability, and all she could do was alter them slightly due to mastery. She also blinked and tilted her head with an eyebrow raised when she noticed Raph looking uncomfortable at her mention of using corpses as puppets. So he had a weak stomach. He'd have to get over that sooner rather than later based on the inevitable future he was walking into.

"Oh, relax. I didn't make them do anything horrible. My boyfriend doesn't like sacrificing innocent lives and a few were lost during a mission we did together. I tried to make him feel better by pretending they were still alive. No big deal. Apparently I was the only one who thought it was amusing, so that ended rather quickly."

At least he seemed excited about everything else. She smiled shyly when he mentioned the difference in power between the two of them, because she had to admit to herself that she only felt a tiny bit different compared to how she was before. She was more durable, sure. But was it really that noticeable? This was the second time someone had directly mentioned her power to her. She actually had no idea how it happened. She was exerting herself with Inner Power, was able to overcome it due to essentially losing that fight thanks to Luke, and woke up feeling pretty okay. She did notice something, but way less than what other people could apparently sense.

"Now, now. Calm down a little there, man. Your abilities will surface soon enough! Mine came to me when I was about sixteen-ish. Actually, it's been so long that I barely remember. I'm twenty-four now, you know. Jeez, time flies."

Shizuka shifted from side to side, readying her stance for her true bragging right. She would never unleash something like her Inner Power against someone like Raph, but she was going to show him what her Release was like. Her shoes, the gold-colored heels that her aunt gave her when she was young, glowed a bright purple to reflect her Reiatsu's shade. They were removed from her feet effortlessly, floating into the air briefly before shaping itself into two forms. The first that appeared was her famously massive water gun, and the second was the average-sized bucket. The bucket landed next to her and she caught the gun as it fell out of the air.

"This is my Fullbring. It's only at Level One right now. Fullbringers have two Releases. This one's the Primary Fullbring. It can take whatever form it manifests itself into once unlocked, and mine ended up being a water gun. Don't be fooled, though. I can summon anything I want and shoot it so long as it's a fluid and exists. I create my own and store it in that bucket. I don't take it from an already available source. I also have a Level Two, which I can show you, but basically it's another slightly different water gun. I like that one a bit more, though, because I can separate it into twin pistols if I want. The form is interchangeable between just the one gun or the two pistols. I also have my Secondary Fullbring which makes use of... Hmm. Well, it makes use of other clothing items and becomes a large pair of wings. I haven't needed to use that one a whole lot."

She kept her weapons active for the time being. Though she didn't plan on using it, she wasn't sure if Raph was going to want a demonstration. In truth, she had a couple of favorite settings for her guns and didn't tend to stray too much from those. Most people who fought her would catch on to that quickly. She preferred keeping things simple rather than being too extravagant with her actions. It just made fighting easier for her. But if Raph wanted her to show him everything, then she could try to do that.

He listened, wordlessly, as she explained the reason that she’d decided to use some corpses as playthings, talking almost as if they’d been dolls. Some lives had been lost during a mission so she’d just made them seem to still be alive? Yeah, that didn’t exactly sit well with him, much like he assumed it hadn’t with her boyfriend when she mentioned the man having an issue with it. It didn’t surprise him. Raph didn’t like the thought of using corpses as toys, dolls, weapons or just in pretending they were alive. Felt wrong and left a bad taste in his mouth.

“I understand what you’re saying, I suppose that I can’t help but be a little excited. It’s like waking up and finding out that blue is red, green is purple and orange is chartreuse. It messes with the paradigm of your world just a little bit. Suddenly how you see things is different, how you view the world around you is different and how you think of the relationship of one object to another is thrown off. I just can’t wait to learn as much as I can about the world and the way that it really is. It’s insane.” He really couldn’t, either. The shift in the world was jarring, but at the same time liberating. He loved learning that what he thought was the truth was really only a small part of a larger whole.

A bit confused, he watched as she seemed to bounce from side to side and suddenly the shoes on her feet began to emit a violet glow. Then, in another second, the two were off her feet and had transformed into two different forms, one was a large weapon that almost looked like a water gun and the other was a completely average bucket. While they didn’t exactly seem special, something in his gut told Raphael that what he was looking at was something he’d never experienced or seen before. Once more he listened as she explained that what he was looking at was her “fullbring” and that it was at a level one and that there was apparently a second one she had. Then she explained the ability that she could summon and fire anything as long as it was a liquid. Then she explained that her second one used clothes and became a pair of wings.

The information being thrown at him was staggering, something almost entirely new and different and separate. She wasn’t the only one, that the people that had these kinds of powers potentially ALL had abilities, weapons, releases like this. It didn’t matter what he called it, it was the same thing. It was an insane power, it was something from the realm of fantasy and they ALL had something like this? Not to mention what seemed to be her ability to control different objects, apparently being something that was exclusive to them. He began to theorize that this was what the first “magicians” of their world had been: people that could manipulate the world around them, albeit at a much lower level. If he’d actually existed, Merlin might’ve been the only one that would possibly have had the same control that she did.

“Level one… I see, I see. And you also have another one…” He nodded a few times, looking it over and pondering on it. “Was this the form that it started off as? Has it changed at all? I do hope that you’ll forgive my questions, I’m just exceptionally curious.”
