Las Arenas
Las Arenas is a multi-racial organization inhabiting the Seven Sands. In fact, it is so closely tied to these areas that they are essentially the organization's headquarters. It is a section of Hueco Mundo that is almost completely separate from the other areas. Las Arenas can be considered as somewhat of a group of devout pirates. The individuals who join travel across the sands using massive Gillians as if they were living vehicles, protecting the Seven Shards of each sand. These Shards are Fragments left behind by an ancient King. The Admirals and every-day members of Las Arenas hold a mock Fragment's power. This is so any citizen may take up the duty when necessary, but they won't be overpowered by the Fragment's abilities. This organization also thrives on what are known as Aspects of Nature, which are characteristics that radiate from these Shards. They allow those who have them to overcome their basic natures and live in solidarity among each other. Despite the goals of Las Arenas remaining largely unknown to the outside world, they are still very inclusive. Even so, they are similar to a secret society of sorts and their territory wards off anyone who may be harmful to them. They have only recently begun to explore the unknown world beyond. As they are led by powerful beings wielding Aspects of Nature that can even face up against Aspects of Death, they show everyone just how strong they are even in their own seclusion.
{What is Las Arenas?}
Las Arenas is a huge chunk of Hueco Mundo that is divided into the Seven Sands. These Sands are a geographical feature of Hueco Mundo that are not often traveled by Hollows. They make up thirty percent of the surface of the world. They are identifiable as large ocean-like bodies of sand with each having its own unique sand colors and weather conditions. This quality is similar to how the White Desert is an eternal, calm night. All Seven Sands are governed by a group of people called "Las Cuidadores de las Dunas" or "Dune Keepers." They can be called "Las Dunas" for short.
Legend has it that the territory was pierced by an enourmous Zanpakutō long ago. This weapon was rumored to have belonged to the very first Arrancar, a powerful King and leader. This blade was the source of wisdom and inspiration among all who resided in the area, and the King had a huge sense of duty and responsibility for his subjects. Unfortunately, this sense of duty led to his downfall. In a world of twisted and warped souls, the King was pained by seeing Hollows devour one another. Every attempt to find an alternative failed as instinct drove them to continue on their cannibalistic path. The King's grief split his soul, shattering the blade into seven pieces along with it. Each piece landed in a different Sand.
With their King gone, the Hollows struggled to find new leadership because they feared the land would fall to chaos once again. It was then that a group of Arrancar rose up to take this responsibility. These Arrancar traveled to each of the Seven Shards of the broken Zanpakutō and retrieved a Fragment of the King's Heart. The Fragments granted not only power, but an ability to rise above the vices that set Hollows against one another. These Arrancar soon became the original seven charismatic Keepers. Soon after, the Seven Sands separated from each other according to each Shard, and these Shards became wellsprings of prosperity for any citizen of each Sand. All other organizations seeking to overtake these lands were waded off, so the Seven Sands still remains unknown to most of the world.
Unfortunately, this legend is partially false. From Soul Society's history, the first Hollow was Cain. He would later succeed in becoming the first Arrancar according to what is known from the two invasions of Soul Society during the reign of the first and second Captain Commanders. Cain shared none of the same attributes as the Arrancar of the Shard legend, and Cain now serves as Sonken Kouhai's Decima Espada. On the other hand, much of Hueco Mundo's history is undocumented. Therefore, speculation that Las Noches has been home to at least one hundred Kings exists. Given this information, it is uncertain whether or not the rest of the legend is true. All that is known is that the Shards exist.
The Zanpakutō Shards have come to bring solidarity to the Hollows and other races within Las Arenas. A variety of others had come to respect and admire the power emanating from the Shards, drawing them into the Sands. While some members are born within these areas, most simply arrive there by either emerging from the sand, itself, or in the massive Shard Cities. Regardless of how they came to be in Las Arenas, all of them woke up to find a Fragment looped around their necks. Though the Seven Sands had been detected by Soul Society, they have never been visited or explored. What causes people to awaken in Las Arenas is unknown.
Every one of the Seven Shards has eventually turned into massive Cities. These Shard Cities are the bases of operation for Las Dunas. Each Dunas is the head of a small formation of ships crafted from modified Gillian who are influenced by the Shards and the Fragments that the Keepers hold. The Fragments each represent a portion of the King's Heart, and that is where the Aspects of Nature come from. These Aspects represent characteristics that allowed the King, along with those who hold the Fragments, to overcome their destructive and deadly natures.
Even with these Fragments, however, members of Las Arenas sit upon a razor's edge between their dangerous natures and the Aspects of Nature that the Keepers instill upon them. Should any Keeper fall, they must be quickly replaced by one of their ship's Admirals in order to keep the peace. To prepare the inhabitants of this possibility, each of them holds a Fragment's Shadow. These Shadows are small stones charged with the Fragment's Aspect to a lesser degree. In the event that the Keeper does fall, their Fragment will choose a successor by awakening a Fragment's Shadow and transferring the old Keeper's Fragment power to the new one. This process is known as "The Awakening." When an old Keeper perishes, whoever proves themselves will have power granted to their Fragment's Shadow. The old Fragment will vanish, and the new one will glow and evolve into a fully powered Fragment.

{The Central Sands}
La Arena Custodiada - The Guarded Sand
This Sand is a vast ring around the other central Sands. Its name comes from the Shard that fell there because it is the guard of the blade that protects the inner Sand from outside influences. This Sand's Shard is called "Sentinel's Keep" and is guarded by a high concentration of strong Arrancar. Anyone within its influence will feel compelled to protect the Central Sands and ward off ill intent. They experience greater empathy for others.
This Shard is the largest, being 250 miles in diameter. It completely surrounds the inner-most Sand. The enormous band serves as a wall around the inner-most Sand, protecting it and acting as a central hub for Keeper ships. The Fragment held by the Keeper is called the "Heart of the Guard." Anyone under its influence draws from the Aspect of Rage, turning it into a strong sense of protectiveness. This sand has a silver color and is adorned with giant trees that reflect moonlight from the eternal night, creating shimmering glows across the space.
La Arena Corazón - The Heart Sand
This Sand is the smallest and central-most of all. It is completely enclosed by The Guarded Sand and is only 150 miles in diameter. Its Shard is the tip of the King's blade, spanning 20 miles in diameter from edge to the spine of the blade. It is one of the tallest Shards, standing at a colossal 100 miles high.
Despite being the smallest Sand, it is one of the most densely populated. It acts as the central hub for the Seven Sands. Its shard permeates a sense of Justice since the Fragment held by the Keeper is called the "Heart of the Judge." If any crimes are committed within Las Arenas, it is here that judgment is dealt. Any ships that belong to this Sand do not actually reside within, but instead go away to the other Sands and act as a kind of police. This is one of the leading groups for taking in Free Quincy. The sand here is gold in color despite being bathed in eternal night.

{The Northern Sands}
La Arena de Sol - The Sun Sand
A very fine mist lies within the upper atmosphere, making this Sand quite bright. Instead of blocking out the moonlight, the tiny droplets of Reishi collect and scatter it so that the entire layer of mist magnifies and illuminates the sands. The Shard of this Sand is only 40 miles, but it reaches up 100 miles high as it pierces the skies. The Keeper of this Sand is the youngest, and they have experienced having the most Keepers in history with the Fragment changing hands six times. This Fragment is called the "Heart of Youth," and anyone serving under the Keeper is very enthusiastic and daring. They overcome the Aspect of Time with youth and vigor. The sands here are also very sky blue in color.
La Arena Triste - The Sorrowful Sand
This Sand is in perpetual darkness where not even moonlight shines through. This area has dreadful and gloomy quartz trees molded into sad, drooping forms. The Aspect of this Sand is forgiveness and it wards off the Aspect of Vengeance. Despite the gloom, the Shard pierces the darkness and emits a small light that is seen all throughout the Sand. This light represents their Hope and their Forgiveness. Hell races will often associate with this Sand since it is rumored that they inhabit the place. The sands here are a deep azure blue.

{The Southern Sands}
La Arena Abierta - The Gaping Sand
The Shard that made this area hit hard, creating a massive opening into the Menos Forest below. Although all of these Shards pierce into the Menos Forest and spread their influence within, this Shard is almost completely inside of the chasm. It only barely pokes up from the incredibly rift in the sand. As a result, most of those under command of the Keeper of this area specialize in underground combat and typically move about while submerged.
The Fragment of this Sand is called the "Heart of Humility." Those inhabiting the Shard City come to appreciate the light of the moon above as only those at the very top of the City may see it from its depths. They are able to overcome the Aspect of Greed. This Sand is known for taking in Beast-Clansmen wanderers. The Shard glows like the sun and makes it so that, even beneath the ground, it is one of the only Sands that simulates day time. The sand here is red.
La Arena Errante - The Wandering Sand
This is the southernmost of the Seven Sands. It is also closest to Las Noches by only a few thousand miles. These Sands are instilled with a sense of hope that, despite being the most endangered of the Sands due to its location, no harm will come to it. Its inhabitants hold a strong sense of wanderlust and remain forever curious. The Keeper's Fragment is called the "Heart of Faith" and those who the Keeper commands are able to venture outwards to keep the Aspect of Nihilism at bay. They also tend to be very misbehaved due to the reduced time they spend within the influence of their Sand.
This Shard is quite large. It is flat on the ground and is 270 miles long and 100 miles wide. This Sand is known for having a bad reputation since its Admirals spend too much time outside of Las Arenas and occasionally go rogue. The sand here is a deep violet, and the weather is constantly shifting between thunderstorms without rain or rain without clouds.

{The Western Sand}
La Arena Cero - The Zero Sand
This Sand contains an enormous blue light from the sky that resembles a blue sun. Because of the Reiatsu emanating from it, people can assume it has been artificially created. Great amounts of heat encompass this area and large black towers are scattered over the black sands. This Sand is where the most stern of Arrancar reside and where many different races have fund themselves. This Sand's Shard represents Discipline, so all of the inhabitants feel the need to uphold order. This is the most powerful of all the Sands. Should any others require assistance when under attack, this Sand is their greatest ally. The "Heart of the Conqueror" Shard resides here and wards off the Aspect of Loneliness with the devotion to duty and conquest of threats. Some of the most ambitious and conservative citizens live here.

{Fragment Information}
Each member of Las Arenas holds a Fragment or a stone charged with the Fragment's power around their necks. Every Arena has inhabitants with a different kind of Fragment based on the power of their Shard. By unleashing the power in this stone, it becomes something similar to a Released state for the user. It draws out the power that the Fragment has developed in the time it's been held. This Fragment can be Released, temporarily blocking all innate racial Releases and abilities. This includes a Quincy's ability to draw in Reiatsu. It also completely depletes any remaining Reiatsu. In this Released state, they gain access to the Fragment's Release, as well as three to six custom techniques. These techniques are custom to each user and must be based on at least one theme derived from a combination of their Aspect of Nature and at least one fear or flaw. The fears and flaws are taken from your character application. This is to symbolize the overcoming of the fears and flaws through the power of the Fragment.
Each theme must have at least two techniques within it. Normal members will only be able to have one theme with three customs. Admirals will have two themes with four customs, and Keepers can have three themes with six customs. These techniques have no cost and can only be used in this Released state since using the techniques is solely dependent on having the Fragment. The effects of these techniques lasts for ten posts. At the end of this duration, the user is incapacitated and considered unable to continue fighting.

Las Arenas Ranks
- Absolved - Crew and underlings to all higher Ranks. They represent the general population and the primary force of Las Arenas. They must be at least Class 8 but can actually reach Class 0. They are the power equivalent to Unseated Officers or Privaron Espada. Various races may hold the Rank.{More Information}
They may not be as devout or constrained as other members of Las Arenas, but they do still have Fragments of their City. Even the Absolved radiate with weak auras from their Fragment's power. - Finder - Ambassadors from other organizations, but serve under Admirals. They must be at least Class 5 and are the power equivalent to Substitute Shinigami. Various races may hold the Rank. When dealing with other organizations, it will be done through this Rank.{More Information}
Finders are essentially Quartermasters who act as ambassadors from other organizations. They are usually people who were not originally part of Las Arenas. They provide knowledge from the organizations they came from and serve under Admirals. This is the only role that Shinigami can have where they are able to maintain their Zanpakutō since their status as a member of the Gotei Thirteen remains. - Quartermaster - They are First Mate to the Admirals and each ship has between one and three of them. They must be at least Class 5 and are the power equivalent to Seated Officers or Fracción. Various races may hold the Rank. Quartermasters are the liaisons for Admirals in setting up meetings when the ship is ported at one of the Shard Cities. They help run the ship and keep the crew in line.
- Admiral - They belong to the Keepers but have authority over lesser Ranks. Each Keeper typically has four Admirals, but more may exist per preference. They step up if a Keeper falls. They must be at least Class 4 and are the power equivalent to a Stern Ritter. Various races may hold the Rank. They are the Commanders of the Gillianships and are masters of their own individual ships. Admirals survey and keep peace.{More Information}
Every Admiral commands a modified Gillian. These Gillian are typically anywhere from 80 to 140 meters long and 15 to 35 meters wide. The Wyrm-like ships act as a means of transportation across the Sands. They contain maps that let the crews know their location in Hueco Mundo at any time, and even show them how to get back to Las Arenas. Admirals also have the second strongest Fragments and must fill in for a fallen Keeper. They are also highly charismatic and a very prominent group. - Keepers - Only seven exist and they have authority over the other Ranks and their Sand. They must be at least Class 3 and are the power equivalent to a Captain or High-Tier Espada. They are mainly Arrancar, but other races may hold the Rank. They are the guardians of the Shards. They use their Fragments to keep these Shards safe and the Aspects of Death at bay.{More Information}
So long as the Keepers exist, the Shards can remain standing. They devote themselves to their Aspect of Nature and are like Kings of their Sand since they are the admiration and height of Las Arenas' society. Their word is typically law. They are incredibly charismatic and amazing people despite any flaws they have. Because of the influence of their Fragment, they are even almost saint-like. When a Keeper falls, the Shard will eventually choose a successor. This process may be instant or take a number of months. During this time, Admirals must fill in. People new to the Keeper position must start at Rank 3. Over time, through effort and obvious displays of leadership, they can earn Rank 4.
