The long night [Tsukuyomi]

No noise left the abomination as the bala was fired from the hand of the Arrancar, the small sphere of reiatsu clashing against the black broadsword that had been prepared to slice into the limbs and back of this foe. The strength of the small sphere was enough to prevent the abomination from actually executing the technique that Tsukuyomi had strived so hard to obtain as a trump card of his own, yet another thing that the young Vice Captain had obtained only for it to be fruitless when necessary for victory. The broadsword along with the arm holding it were flung backwards by the force of the bala’s impact even as the sphere itself burst apart yet as this Arrancar formed his reiatsu into a second bala the abomination’s broadsword would fling forward coming down at a speed over 2000 with a burst of black light.

The bala fired from the hand of the Arrancar would hit the abomination striking dead center in the chest, possessing the impact power that the sternum of Tsukuyomi’s chest was heavily fractured. Comparable to a normal human being hit by a sledgehammer directly in the chest being the most adept comparison. At the same time though the broadsword from this abomination was coming down aimed towards the very hand that had just fired off the bala, cloaked in black fire if the Arrancar did nothing then he’d find the broadsword slashing down between his middle and ring fingers. Although the edge of the blade wouldn’t be enough to cut through the heirro the black flames of this abomination would grow stronger off the darkness within this Arrancar burning at a value of 1200, more than enough to likely cause him harm.

If the Arrancar was able to carry on with his planned course of action he’d find that he’d have to adjust his aim as the abomination was sent flying backwards from the force of the bala striking it directly in the chest. After a moment though the abomination would vanish executing a step technique yet again yet this time moving even faster than it had during the previous attack. No longer executing the Shinigami step nor the Quincy that it had displayed during the last attempt, Sonido. The very step technique that an Arrancar would employ would allow the abomination to appear below the Arrancar.

Broadsword raised up above as it surged with black flames, spiraling towards the end of the blade for a moment then converging into a massive orb of flames. Sent flying up the small distance between them now the abomination executes the technique Hogeki, one that the Arrancar had seen yet different. No longer sending out small bullets of flame, but a single massive projectile meant to incinerate everything in its path. A singular ball of black flames ten feet in size from one side to another sent upwards at the Arrancar with a speed of 400. Unlikely to succeed yet the tenacity of the abomination knows no bounds as Tsukuyomi remains suppressed in his own depths.

Unfortunately for Tsukuyomi, while Col did have to make a momentary adjustment to his aim for the casting of his Bakudo spell, the act of Tsukuyomi being flung back by his Bala made any hope of evasion impossible. Tsukuyomi would have to catch his footing to initiate a step technique in order to get out of the way, and he wouldn't be able to do that while he was halfway through being blasted backwards. The moment it took Tsukuyomi to catch himself was all Col needed to land the binding kido. Now then... This also meant Col would be able to execute his Cero attack, ending the battle. Bound by Rikujokoro, and with no cards left to play to escape it, there would be almost no way for Tsukuyomi to avoid a direct hit from Col's Cero.

As far as Tsukuyomi's counter-attack would go, that would not be much issue. Col simply pulled back his arm back into an upwards cut and allowed Tarentella to crash against Tsukuyomi's sword, his superior strength and reiatsu strength allowing him to repel Tsukuyomi's blow as the Nakabakki was thrown back, and then immediately follow up with his Bakudo spell.

However. In the incredibly unlikely scenario that Tsukuyomi somehow managed to wriggle his way away from the cold grip of death yet again, and initiate his attack, Col was ready. With his energy sensory it would be nigh impossible for Tsukuyomi to actually sneak up on him, and in any case, the Shinigami was going for a direct attack from below. Nothing sneaky or stealthy about it, nor any intent to catch Col by surprise that the arrancar could detect. "Be still. The battle is over. It does not behoove you to struggle so feebly." If Tsukuyomi unleashed his fire blast, Col would stretch out the fingers on his free hand, gripping Tarentella in one, and crackling, forked tendrils of violet lightning snarled and snapped from his fingertips. They crashed into Tsukuyomi's flames and immediately burned through it. Cero Lightning. A creation of Col's own design. Intensifying the power of the Cero into an electrifying, agonizing demise. It was designed to at once, destroy an enemy or draw out their suffering. The storm of lightning crackled through Tsukuyomi's flames, powering through, and shoving them aside and if Tsukuyomi yet stood in place would overwhelm him and burn him away. Col was not holding back on the power of the lightning, so if there was any consolation, although it would be incredibly painful, Tsukuyomi's death at least, would be quick.

Col's eyes glimmered in the night, illuminated by his own lightning as he intended to bear witness to the Nakabakki's final moments. Most likely his Rikujokoro/Cero combination would have dealt with Tsukuyomi, but if his lightning did the work, that was fine as well. The arrancar flicked out his blade, disappointed that Tsukuyomi had moved away from his contest of swordsmanship, and sheathed the blade. He was done here. He had missed out on his prey tonight, but he'd be back. He would seek his meal elsewhere for now. His pride was satisfied with this outcome, but his ravenously growling belly certainly was not.

Although against the majority the demonic entity that had taken control of Tsukuyomi’s body would have very little issue, this Arrancar was like no other. Proving that despite having the skill Tsukuyomi’s body didn’t have the power to keep up. Everything that it had tried had been tossed aside like a toddler fighting a grown man. The black flames that had brought about such destruction in the last few months weren’t enough it seemed. Tsukuyomi himself had lasted longer even if this Arrancar had just been going along like some sort of game. Now that he was serious it seemed as if none of the abilities that this creature possessed along with the techniques that Tsukuyomi managed to cultivate would be enough.
