Circumstances: Class 3 Lagos thinks that Class 2 Yoko would make a good test subject and comes to try and capture the Fullbringer. Battle ensues as Yoko does not wish to be a science project.

Public Image. That was the thing that she was supposed to improve for Uzaki Enterprises. Most of the time Yoko Kusanagi had worked to improve the public image of the company through obvious heroics. She had developed a habit of blaming terrorists for spiritual attacks when she was in the right place. Sure it was a bit disingenuous, but she was defeating bad guys and keeping people safe. It's not like she could explain why things were actually exploding right? The human world wasn't ready for the truth about the other world and spiritual beings. News like that would cause nothing but widespread panic.

Today was no different in reason, but very different in method. Community service hours. It was a staple for comic book heroes and boy scouts alike. Helping old ladies cross the street. Picking up garbage. Helping build houses for the poor. This was the kind of stuff that people looked at and saw good people. If she could help them view a giant corporation as an alright dude then it was worth the work. Of course, this was Yoko we were talking about so she had to make it at least vaguely flashy. If she didn't do something impressive enough to make a headline then it wasn't a big enough influence to be worth her time.

So Yoko did what she did best. She beat the shit out of something. In this case it was demolition work. There was a neighborhood on the outskirts of Karakura that had been hit by a large fire recently, and all the homes were ruined to the point of being uninhabitable. Getting a wrecker out there to knock it all down would have cost tens of thousands between the rental and operational costs. When she has found out about the opportunity it seemed like a great headline to her. She had offered Uzaki Enterprises resources would take care of the demo for free, and the city had agreed in a heartbeat. How were they supposed to beat free? The only catch was that someone else was in charge of hauling it away, but that was still a noteworthy savings with so many houses.

And so Yoko had set out to go do some mundane good. She arrived not with a bulldozer or giant stone ball, but just herself. She'd already been caught on video displaying her strength a few times. It wasn't a secret anymore, and she was fine with that. If the internet already had her name, face, and the fact that she was some kind of mutant freak out there then there was no stopping it anyway. She might as well use that publicity to elevate the name of Uzaki Enterprises further. If she tried to suppress it then it would cause far more problems than it solved, and it was basically her goal anyway. She could have lived without the personal attention but what's done was done.

And so that morning was spent doing what she did best. Punching inanimate objects into submission. Each house took no more than a few blows, as they were already flimsy at best. By the time lunch rolled around the neighborhood was all neatly piled up in heaps. Yoko sat perched on top of pile of rubble, dressed in her black Uzaki Enterprises uniform and smiled for a camera. The photo op was the hardest part. They insisted she smile no matter how strong her resting bitch face was. But that was the point of it all. The photo. The article. That was why she had called a friend in the press corp, and why she had bothered with this at all. Sure, she didn't mind helping out, but this wasn't actually the most productive use of her time. There were other things she could be doing, but there she was.

With photos snapped, her friend departed. The cleanup crew wouldn't be there until tomorrow, so it was just her and the rubble. The bright sun threatened to scorch her neck as she sipped on a Gatorade and relaxed atop the proof of her hard work. Well, it wasn't really that hard, but it was work. Still, she felt nice and fresh. Compared to the heat of the desert, Karakura was mild even in the heat of mid day. This was nothing she couldn't tolerate, and she honestly preferred it over something dreary like rain or snow. All that she could actually complain about was that she really shouldn't have worn black on a day like this. Maybe someday she would learn to check the weather. It seemed that she might have more important things to worry about though. The air around her shifted and the hair on the back of her neck stood straight up.

[Lagos Oscuras]

It didn’t take much effort to recognize a Fullbringer, especially when it was a particularly famous one that was linked to an organization. She hadn’t had much experience with Uzaki Industries personally, but she was here because she was on a mission for her own ambitions. Her test subjects had responded mediocrely with her experimentation and the goal to make more Arrancar that would be free from what she perceived as “Shinigami Control” was now available. The female arrancar opened a small tear in the sky of the world of the living, and with that, she stood high in the distance, looking down upon the world. Fullbringers were beings that she saw as fascinating because their very existences were tied with Hollow origin from the womb.

So, it was of course her fascination, one of her greatest flaws that inspired her to try and capture one. Of course...it was tougher than one might expect. For one, she had to admit to herself, as much as she despised it, that there were beings that were stronger than her. However, that didn’t mean she didn’t have potential to grow. No, far from it. She had all the more potential to grow, especially now that she was not being bound by the orders of Las Noches. However, she felt though deep in her heart an aching for Shikihitsuko. Her master had disowned her, and he knew that separating from him was one of the most painful things she could ever experience.

Descending to the ground down below, she looked at the destruction all around her and then to the humans. She didn’t see interest in them at the moment. Based on what she saw, she figured that it was the people breaking down buildings to build new things. Of course, that was because she wasn’t here to witness the woman beating at things herself. Lagos due to her banishment no longer wore the standard Arrancar garbs as her clothing was ripped and torn beyond normal repair at this state. AS of now, she wore skin tight jeans and a tank top exposing her muscled core. All that remained of her old outfit was a simple white and inverted black jacket that she wore previously. It was all that was left.

Lagos had before this been busy with taming her Hollows and getting herself more muscle and manpower from Hollows. However, perhaps it was foolish to try and do such a thing. Hollows had no true loyalty. However, there were some that admired strength and power and would stick around in order to attain it for themselves. That was the bulk of her force. Tch, it was disgusting. A blue thread handle katana rested on her side and the matching sheath it accompanied glistened in the sunlight. As her silver hair blew through the breeze, the woman’s fox mask like helmet would make it pretty obvious what she was in nature. She was an Arrancar, and if it wasn’t for that, then her spiritual footprint should make it pretty absolute.

So far, Lagos seemed pretty neutral, just standing around for a moment as she brought her hand up to her mouth and chomped on the nails, spitting them out onto the street. Then with that, she walked through this shit hole of a place, just looking for trouble. Then again, her mere existence was fucking trouble. Shinigami, Quincy, and occasionally other beings worked on exterminating beings like her. However, she’s survived. She’s survived the challenges and she was still standing here. While Lagos normally enjoyed fighting and killing for the sake of it, she was here now. She needed to think, think about how to destroy the Shinigami and free her unfortunately former master. She was his loyal Fraccion. She was his remaining associate.

Never once did it occur to her that her master...was actually willingly serving the Shinigami king. So, with that abandonment of possibility, she happened to sense a tenseness in the air, an unexplainable feeling. Looking to her left, she was able to see it then. There was a being looking right at her with a look of worry and fear maybe? No, it was tense for certain, but not fear. It was general nervousness at her presence. Looking her up and down from a distance of around ten meters, she’d call out with a cold and stoic like tone. “What are you looking at ningen?...Got a problem with me being here?”

The being made no effort to hide itself. Based on how it entered, it was either hollow or Arrancar. With a quick glance at it she knew what it was. Arrancar. The humanoid form made it obvious with no more than a glance. There was no number visible on this one though. Not an Espada most likely. Still, Arrancar was one of the types of beings she wanted to avoid a fight with if she could. Shinigami Captains, Arrancar, and Vandenreich. Those were the ones she had been warned she would almost certainly lose against. If she was to not flee, there had to be a reason. If she was to fight, well that was supposed to be a bad idea from what she was told.

That's what the rational part of her concluded. Don't do it. But on the other hand there was no one around and they were in a perfect location to fight without holding back. If it came down to it then at least the circumstances were ideal. Heck, she wasn't even hindered by cloud cover at the moment. She honestly couldn't ask for much more. And besides, those warnings to not fight Arrancar had come when she was way weaker right? Surely she was way stronger now and could totally take them on. Maybe she was just in a certain mood today, but she really felt like punching this demon. And that’s just what she was gonna do within a few minutes probably.

All that assessment was made before she heard the Arrancar speak. “What are you looking at ningen?...Got a problem with me being here?” Instantly she was filled with hatred for this creature. Had it stopped at “What are you looking at” then the thing would have merely been rude. That would have been forgivable. Even if it had continued with the second sentence, it would have been passive aggressive at worst. But the thing had injected one very important word in the middle of those two things. Ningen. Human. It was so utterly unnecessary. There was no one else around, so it was obvious the Arrancar had talked to her. The only worthwhile explanation was that things thing viewed Yoko with disdain. To the Arrancar she was a lesser lifeform. Perhaps even mere food.

Yoko’s normally calm façade had trouble staying together after that word. As of yet she couldn’t gauge how strong this foe was, but that word had emboldened her to push past her logic and take this thing down. She rose from perch atop the mound of rubble and slowly made her way down. As she descended, she spoke to the Arrancar. Her tone started light and airy. ”Ya know, as a mater of fact I do have a problem with you being here, akuma.” But that last word was spit out with vitriol that it was quite clear how she felt about the Arrancar being there. She wondered if the monster would be provoked by something like that or not. They did apparently have unique personalities, so it was hard to know.

Nevertheless, she continued on. ”You see, your kind has this nasty penchant for eating people. Even though they can be a bunch of bastards, I’ve taken to protecting humankind.” By this point in her “hero speech” she had cleared the bottom of the rubble and was out on the street, a mere five meters from the Arrancar. She let the calm breeze flow towards her as it always did thanks to Low Pressure. A smell of ashes and wood was on the wind, as if her opponent had just come from a roaring bonfire. Interesting, but not horribly useful. Some opponents smelled like things that gave her a hint about their powers, but this one just smelled like the aftereffects of a blaze.

”So I won’t ask why you’re here, or what you want. Unless the answer is that you’re here to die you’re going to be leaving disappointed.” Man, Yoko was in a really foul mood after just one word. But that was fine. Her mind was made up though. She dropped into a springy fighting stance, light on her feet. Her left side was forward, and she bounced on the balls of her feet. Were it not for the angle of her stance pointing her left side towards her opponent it might have felt like a boxing stance, but her legs were also a bit too wide for that. Anyone with a background in formal martial arts would at least be able to recognize it as something from the East. Without another word she issued a challenge. Her left index finger beckoned her opponent forward as if to say “Come get some.”

Technique Description and Effects: [This "technique" is a passive reduction in the output of reiatsu that one gives off while not supressing their power. It can still look impressive and bright, but the output is reduced to the point that it is incapable of doing any harm to a living being. For those who know this technique, the only noteworthy effect that casually outputting reiatsu can have (beyond looking pretty) is to cause a very slight difference in air pressure. This difference in pressure causes a very slight breeze to blow towards the user of this technique. It is no more than a few miles per hour, making it barely even noticeable unless you're looking for it.

There is a very slight benefit to this. Scents drift more easily towards the user while this technique is active, as they float along the air currents that move towards the user of this technique. The use of reiatsu is so slight for this technique that it doesn't appear noticeable except to those with incredible (200+) energy sensory. When mastered, the output is so low that it is indistinguishable from a normal energy signature, and can even be used while reiatsu is being masked if the user has at least a two in stealth.]

How to use technique (How is it activated?): [When learned or proficient, this feat is only available by fluctuating one's reiatsu to create a difference in air pressure. Activating it feels similar to just building up the reiatsu for a technique, but the amount is very small. When mastered, this technique is passively active at all times unless willingly ceased, or in the case that the user is in combat and lacks the appropriate skills to maintain the focus on it.]

Technique Drawbacks: [Requires a skill to be learned, and requires rank 2 in that skill to be used in combat. It is a permanent replacement to the ability to pressure crush. That cannot be done unless this technique is unlearned. This technique cannot be learned by types that lack fine reiatsu control such as fighters or Kenpachi types.]

It seemed that the human whom was so rudely staring at her form proceeded to take offense at being called a human, despite the fact that was exactly what she was. “Akuma?...” She tilted her head. Was what what they thought she was in the human world? Well, they were wrong. All humans were destined to become like her, it simply relied on the efforts of hollows to find out how human they’d become. She looked at the woman disinterested as she fell into a fighting stance, and about the promise of death, Lagos stretched her back. “A hero that slays demons and saves humanity. Is that what you view yourself as?” Lagos didn’t bother drawing her soul slayer. Instead, she used battle analysis to look at her stance. It was an obvious martial art, and that meant that her opponent was well versed in physical combat. “I like that look in your eye.”

In a swift motion, she punched out with her right hand. In that moment, a yellow ball rapidly flying towards Yoko, incredibly fast like a bullet. It was the technique known as Bala, and her mastery of it was evident. It was also limited and compressed down so that it was around the size of a three foot boulder as opposed to the small car size it usually was. Lagos would then remain in ready formation, prepared to strike out again and deliver another. Bala lacked the destructive power of the Cero, that much was evident to anyone who’s seen either. However, the speed and formation time was drastically different. If avoided, the thing would simply bore a hole through the previous pile of rubble Yoko sat on.

If this woman could avoid her Bala, then that would show her the reflexes she possessed were good. If not, well, then that meant that meant she could observe what she did have. Lagos’ blue eyes seemed dull at the moment; almost empty. She wasn’t here to terrify or eat humans today. More so, she didn’t know what she was looking to do today. After the attack was launched, if the lady was still alive, Lagos Oscuras would raise her finger as if to ask for a pause. Assuming that Yoko waited for a moment, the Arrancar would bow her head incredibly low, her right arm sweeping as she would then stand up. “Excuse me. I almost forgot. As two warriors, let us introduce ourselves.”

“Fr-...Lagos Oscuras. Arrancar #K-99.” She pulled her jacket to the side to reveal the simple number burned into her neck in black ink before releasing the bit of clothing. She’d then enter a basic stance with both fists clenched at either side of her person, ready to strike out when and if needed. She saw herself as powerful, powerful enough at least to be a threat and even defeat some Vice Captains. How much of a threat was this human? She knew by now that race didn’t necessarily mean anything. There were Shinigami that were physically stronger than her. Some that were spiritually powerful. Some of them were faster than her, so she’d not underestimate again. The last time she got her head punched off was rather...a rude awakening.

She was just going to casually gauge Yoko for now, see where things went. Bala was childsplay for most opponents, some it was a challenge. “So...may I say before you try killing me. I’m not really here to eat anyone. Not that it probably matters to you. Why, most everyone seems to be anti hollow, wanting to kill us off from the face of the earth~” She said it half heartedly with no real negative feeling about that. It was the way things always were. It happened long before her and it would continue on for an eternity of existence. Well then, the human was going to kill her she so boldly claimed. Lagos was willing to put that claim to the test.

To some, the words of this monster might have grated at them more. Yoko’s mind had already returned to calm. The flow of emotion had led her to the decision to battle, but it did nothing more than that. From the moment she had decided to fight her emotions simply weren’t a factor anymore. When the Arrancar threw the verbal jab about Yoko calling herself a hero she answered the rhetorical question with naught but a confident smile. That’s what she was. There was no “view” about it. She had been put on this Earth to try to save it from those who sought to consume its citizen. She was Yoko Kusanagi, and she was a guardian of humanity. Hmm… that had a nice ring to it. She might have to use that one later.

Her opponent sensed the confidence in her and offered a compliment. Yoko ignored it. She didn’t need the praise of a demon, and she actually took it as a bit of an insult. To have a monster compliment you meant they saw something they liked. Disgusting. The human had beckoned the monster to strike at her, and the strike came. It was a technique she had seen once before, when she fought a hollow in Osaka. She knew it wasn’t even worth dodging. Her left arm was already in front of her because of her stance, and she merely lowered it slightly and extended her palm into the path of the energy blast. The bala slammed into her palm and detonated at that furthest point out.

Just as had happened in Osaka, the result was the same here. The fabric that covered her left arm was all blown away, and Yoko’s Metal Limb glinted in the sun. With a reiatsu strength of 800 used to make the limb, and it being a relatively high class technique, the limb was durable enough to shrug off hits from a low class attack with ease. Of course that didn’t offer any protection to her outfit, and this copy of her uniform was now ruined. Such a shame, but she didn’t really care much either. She had plenty more at home, and a far bigger problem to deal with then some damage to her attire.

After that attack, Yoko was ready to fight back, but the Arrancar raised a finger in a clear “one minute” gesture. Yoko cocked her eyebrows at this, replying with a clear “what the fuck?” look on her face. The monster introduced itself. Frlagos Oscuras. What a bizarre name. Though she didn’t feel the thing deserved her respect, or even basic human decency, she at least offered her name to the creature. ”Remember it well. The one who will kill you is Yoko Kusanagi: Leader of Uzaki Enterprises Emergency Response Team.” Oh man, she was actually finally starting to get this whole “hero speech” thing down. Well, maybe not the part about killing things. She probably should have said “stop you” instead of “kill you” but there was always next time.

The Arrancar interjected and claimed it wasn’t here to eat people. That almost got a laugh out of the Fullbringer. ”Claim what you want. Your very existence is the result of consuming countless souls. I know that’s how your kind grows from the moment you first fall into that twisted form, and no honeyed words will convince me that you’re not a threat to humankind with your existence alone.” It was clear that the two of them wouldn’t see eye to eye on that point. A battle was unavoidable. The question was why had the monster even tried to convince Yoko otherwise. It had claimed to be Number 99. Last Yoko had checked, the Espada only went to ten, with number one being the strongest. That made it clear. It had tried to soothe her with words because it was weak. It feared her. That had to be it.

Very well. She would give the demon a reason to feel that fear. Yoko had heard rumors of Arrancar being literally a hard nut to crack, but now was a good time to put that to the test. Without any further words her left arm was pulled back and down, chambered on her left hip. In that moment there was a massive rush of wind as she literally pulled the air itself towards her. This was Grasp of Shou-Lao, one of the techniques that Yoko had invented to better utilize her raw strength. Assuming Lagos didn’t have a way to detect it, the rush of wind would pull the Arrancar straight to the Fullbringer. That was fairly likely given that Lagos hadn’t seen Yoko fight before, and there wasn’t even as much as a single point of reiatsu spent.

Either way, the follow-up was a right cross aimed squarely at center mass. If Grasp of Shou-Lao had succeeded, the cross came without any fancy footwork beyond a slight pivot to help the Fullbringer drive her weight into it. In the event Grasp of Shou-Lao somehow had no effect, then the gap would be cleared in a single bound before the punch was thrown. In either case, if the physical attack hit, it would be more than enough to send the Arrancar flying, battered and bruised. Though Yoko didn’t know it for a fact, the truth was that her physical strength greatly exceeded her opponent’s defensive strength. Yoko’s physical strength was nothing to trifle with, but in this instance what’s more important was not her raw power but her experience and skill. That was what made her a truly scary combatant.

This attack sequence was one of the single most basic opening moves she had against an unarmed opponent. It was one she had drilled over and over again. She knew exactly how to throw these attacks without opening her guard up needlessly, and the movements were made without any extraneous motion. It was a short and simple attack that she knew all the strengths and weaknesses of, as well as how it could be countered. Of course it was possible that her opponent could think of some new trick she hadn’t seen before, but in terms of a fist fight at least, this was a mastered sequence for her. The only question on her mind was where her opponent’s skill level fell when it came to hand to hand and how they would respond.

Technique Element: [Healing/Metal]

Technique Description and Effects: [Like Kaido #7, this is a brutal but effective technique. For a healing art, it is incredibly mean. This Kaido summons a limb of metal that can be plugged into the body of an injured ally. Why is this technique mean? Because attaching a new limb to the body will shock the nervous system. This limb will have speed and strength equal to that of whoever it is attached to, and will generally function just like the original limb did. The only difference is that this limb is made of spiritual steel. This means that this limb is far more durable than most flesh and blood. The toughness of the limb is based on the reiatsu strength of the caster of this technique, not the wearer of the limb. It will always be equal to the reiatsu strength of the caster at the time the limb was made, so it will retain its power even if the caster is killed. ]

How to use technique: [Concentrate reiatsu between your hands and outline the shape of the limb you wish to create, leaving a trail of reiatsu in the wake of your hands. This will form the limb, which must then physically be plugged into the person in need.]

Incantation and Effect: [“Forge of the gods, give me a rod of steel that I may shape it into the image of man! You have created us in your image, and now I seek to repair your creation. I beseech thee Hephaestus; bless this steel with your power!” The incantation allows for the limb to last permanantly.]

Drawback: [This technique can only be learned and used by members of Squad 4 with at least 150 healing expertise. This process is extremely painful. If used on a target with no pain tolerance, they will likely pass out. Pain tolerance 1 allows them to stay conscious, but they will be in agony. Pain tolerance 2 allows them to stay conscious, but they will be hindered by the pain slightly. Pain tolerance 3 prevents this drawback. In addition, this technique can only be used if the target is not protecting the spot in any way. If they have hierro or an armor technique covering the spot, it will not penetrate unless the target purposely lowers that defense. Furthermore, if this technique is used without the incantation, the limb will only last for 12 posts before disintegrating back into reishi.]

Technique Element: [Martial/Air]

Technique Description and Effects: [The twin to, and yet opposite of, Fist of Unbroken Air. The predecessor to this technique is only a subtle, though not unimportant, difference from what any physically strong being can do. This is one of the extensions that shows the true versatility of forsaking raw power for finesse.

Effectively, this technique allows Yoko to use her physical prowess to forcibly pull the air, and anything within that air, towards her. At learned or proficient status, it is only good for basic uses that pull things right towards her. The rush of wind pulls things with force equivalent to Yoko's physical strength. Unlike Fist of Unbroken Air, this one will NEVER cause direct damage. It will only pull anything in its path, including reiatsu based attacks that it is at least as strong as. In a tie, this technique will still be able to pull the other technique, because this does not directly oppose it, only guide it. Of note, there is no reiatsu signature since it's a physical technique, and it's just air moving, and air is invisible unless filled with smog.

Mastery is what makes this technique truly useful. It allows two other distinct changes. The first is that the path of the air can be controlled to a degree. Nothing elaborate like loop the loops, but it can be curved very slightly. The limit on this is about 45 degrees, meaning it can't take a corner unless it's a really lazy corner, or everyone is in exactly the right spot with a fairly wide hallway.

The second perk of mastery is a change to how it effects the space where the air is initially pulled from. With mastery, the control is so absolute, and the movement so precise, that every last molecule of air is pulled out, causing a vacuum no bigger than the users's strength divided by 100, in cubic feet. So, for 800 strength, you'd have (800/100)=8 cubic feet of vacuum. It will only last an instant, but any flames in that area will be extinguished, barring spiritual flames with a superior offensive stat, since they need oxygen to burn. Everything else, predictably, will briefly behave as it would in a vacuum, because it is in one. Within a second or two of the technique being used, the vacuum will fill back in, and everything will return to normal.

As a purely martial technique, this does not cost any reiatsu. It's generally a defensive or utility technique. The intended use she had in mind when she made it was to either pull allies out of the way of attacks, or pulls attacks away from allies. That being said, it can possibly cause harm in one of two ways. The first is by pulling someone into harm's way (such as pulling them into her fist). The second is the possible adverse effects of being exposed to a vacuum, but that exposure is brief enough that it would just feel like they got the air knocked out of them. While this technique is based on strength, it is NOT based on impact strength. It will work with pure strength boosts like pulley, but not with impact. Anything caught in the airflow of this technique will accelerate to a speed equal to Yoko's strength, unless it is already moving faster than that. If it's faster, then it will just maintain its current speed but alter direction.]

Technique Drawbacks: [First are the requirements. This technique cannot be performed without at least 600 strength and a 3 in a strike-based martial art. However, only Kunlun or Baguazhang users can master this technique. Additionally, one must have mastered Low Pressure and Fist of Unbroken Air to use this technique. The technique is limited to a range of Strength/10 feet, so it's not able to be used over incredibly large distances. It also telegraphs notably, so it's not that hard to avoid getting pulled if you just watch Yoko's movements and have battle analysis.]

[Lagos Oscuras]

Yoko Kusanagi was the introduction, and the whole heroic speech put her in heavy disappointment. “My kind. Obviously you’re a bit of a racist aren’t you? Because the way you’re putting it, it sounds like since Germans are associated with the Nazis, all Germans are Nazis.” Shaking her head at the idiocy, or perhaps the human ignorance. She observed the result of her projectile and was rather interested at the metallic limb. Self enhancement? Did she modify her body as to combat others? No...that wasn’t it. Even if it was the limb, if she were physically weak, the force of the Bala would still send her knocking back. She was physically powerful, it was the only assumption that could be logically made. However, what happened next was a fascinating turn, and one which gave her a good idea of how her opponent fought.

As Yoko pulled her arm, she telegraphed some sort of action, which of course Lagos noticed. However, what the result would be became clear. There was a sudden rush of wind, and Lagos immediately felt herself picked up. With a yelled grunt, the fox woman was picked up by the wind. However, it wasn’t as if she was going to just stand there and let herself get punched so easily. It was true that there was an incredible force pulling her, and at a rather fast speed. However, she was able to see Yoko tense, preparing for a punch. Using her skill in acrobatics as well as damage recovery, she was able to recover from the pull. Her pull was strong, but it was only an instant burst. So, as Yoko would aim to punch, Lagos would blip at the very last possible moment, allowing the punch to hit nothing but air as there was a step that completely silent and untraceable, at least of someone with her senses and instinct.

In that same moment, Lagos Oscuras would appear right above her head, her view of the top of the Fullbringer’s head. With the punch dedicated, an extremely swift punch was delivered, launching a full power Bala the size of a large boulder at point blank range with direct contact for her skull in contact. If successfully striking the woman, she would feel a powerful concussive force that would likely cause even a monster like herself a rupture on her scalp, possibly even slam her to the ground since she likely wasn’t expecting it. However, with that done, Lagos somersaulted through the air as she followed course of Sin Sonido before landing on her feet, facing Yoko. Lagos simply narrowed her eyes from that point, having delivered an attack while avoiding one in a swift and fluid motion. A punch from Yoko would have been bad, very much so. However, how would the woman tank one of her Bala she wondered?

Now at a distance of around four meters, Lagos stood at full height, a cool and calculative look on her face. “As I was saying before. I have no interest in slaughtering any humans today. Though, if you insist, I’ll hurt you.” It wasn’t a bold statement like what Yoko had declared. It was a genuine promise, and one that was a lot more believable. However, Lagos knew she was going to have to play carefully, else risk getting hit. Taking one or two of those would be it for her, and she was sure even the blunt power of Hierro couldn’t save her. However, one good thing is she could estimate how her enemy was going to fight. High physical strength and power meant she lacked spiritual ability, at least...that was the assumption.

Lagos was...mediocre in the physical area, and she was rather energized and strong for an Arrancar of her caliber. She was far from the greatest, but she WAS strong in her own rights. So, how did Yoko stand to such an injury? Bala which was an attack that could be launched essentially instantaneously might not be effective as she’d liked, but it would at least whittle the woman down. Cero would take too long, dangerously so. Her own release was risky as it might not yield results. Pesky, pesky, pesky. Hopefully Yoko would acknowledge that she was fucking with the wrong person, then give up on trying to fight her. Her fighting stance was resumed. Lagos was no dummy. It took more than a Bala to kill a physical tank like her.

Sin Sonido is the next stage of Sonido evolution, which was developed by Marcelius after countless examination of spirtual particles resisting the flow of spiritual beings through Hueco Mundo's dense atmosphere. Using the principles of Reiatsu-infused movements, introduced by Sonido, this technique uses a larger supply of Reiatsu to enhance every aspect of it's predecessor. Not only does the Reiatsu used allow for faster travel, but it also reduces all drag and impedance of spiritual particle resistance. Where Sonido filled the muscles with energy needed to heighten the user's speed, Sin Sonido additionally coats the user in Reiatsu. With this internal and external building of Reiatsu, the user will figuratively meld with the world around them as they burst with sudden speed. The density of the surrounding particles is of no consequence, as this technique was designed for Hueco Mundo's tremendously dense environment. The same density that forced Arrancar to improve Sonido's design over the Shinigami Shunpo has further enhanced this technique to a higher quality. In atmospheres with less density in spiritual particles, the task is all the simpler to accomplish and control.

The result is a reduced spiritual resistances means less of a footprint. It is possible for masters of Sin Sonido to travel so suddenly and so flawlessly, that they simply materialize at their intended destination. Even wild animals cannot interpret such a flawless transition. After all, this is a Predator's tool. Sin Sonido has also prove more difficult to react against, this is a forced psychological effect due to the techniques bizarre, traceless nature. Truly, this is a most fearsome technique... but is only recommended for practitioners of considerable skill. Once a soul can learn to use it with maturity, a Sonido without sound can prove a most deadly addition to an arsenal.

Sin Sonido increases the user's speed by x10. Observers with Senses beneath 400 cannot hear the beginning or completion of this technique. Observers with Senses of 400 or greater can detect the signature Sonido noise. Observers with Instincts beneath 200 cannot track the movement or arrival of this technique, though they may still prepare counters. Observers with Instincts of 200 and above are unaffected.

How to use technique: Using Sin Sonido is exactly the same as using Sonido.

A standard attack sequence was foiled by a standard dodge. No surprises were in store when her attack failed. Though she was no master analyst, it didn’t matter much in that moment. At such a fast pace, what mattered was her instinct and muscle memory. Normally she could follow opponents well enough to at least watch their movement as it happened, but this time simply wasn’t the case. Instead Yoko had to rely on a few subtler details. The position of her opponent’s body mostly. There had been no glance right or left such as would typically proceed a movement to one of those sides. That only left targets already in the field of view, and that meant either up or behind. The nature of Grasp of Shou-Lao also meant that fighting against the direction the Arrancar was being dragged was virtually impossible without enough strength to break free.

Defending against two angles at once could be tricky, but there was a simple enough answer in Yoko’s arsenal. Her feet shifted in place. With a pivot on the balls of her feet her entire body reoriented itself to face what had been behind her. In the same movement her arms swiped up and overhead before coming down in front of her. Her knees dropped as her center of gravity lowered. This snap movement was over in a single blink of the eye, especially given her unrestrained speed. Now I know what you’re probably thinking. All she did was change which way she was facing. How in the world was that supposed to defend against anything? If you’re thinking that she followed that up with some kind of further defense once she’d located her attacker you’d be wrong.

With Yoko’s strength, the act of changing her stance was a defense in and of itself. To be more specific, it was the movement of her arms that was the defense. They had swiped towards both overhead and behind her, the only two places that the opponent could have gone to. With those movements there was an accompaniment. A massive rush of wind that she called the Fist of Unbroken Air. A streak of energy slammed into an invisible wall of air as the two attacks crashed into each other. In an instant, the blast of energy was sent rushing back the way it came. A mere bala, even from the most powerful caster, could never hope to overcome a technique that was the pinnacle of martial arts. Fist of Unbroken Air was the “push” counterpart to Grasp of Shou-Lao’s “pull,” and it was Yoko’s strongest defensive ability. It outclassed such a basic attack even without factoring in her raw strength.

What made it truly powerful though was that the technique was not just defense. While Frlagos had attacked and defended in one sequence, Yoko had stepped it up to use a single movement that did both simultaneously. Her lowered stature by dropping her stance lower paired with the Fist of Unbroken Air had been all she needed on defense, but her opponent had played right into her hands with the movement. Had her opponent only made a single movement to a single spot they may actually have had a better time. Their movements basically mirrored the path of Yoko’s arms as she moved through the stance switch. The Arrancar tried to speak more honeyed lies, but Yoko caught the word that mattered. Today. It was a killer like the rest.

As luck would have it, the creature had just enough time to finish promising to hurt Yoko before the wall of wind would reach it. Her arms had swiped down and to where she now faced. She had formed a semi-circle of wind with that one fluid motion. A single movement that deflected the bala and sent an invisible, reiatsuless rush of air towards her opponent as well. Frlagos had an opportunity to predict it, but it would be a little tricky due to the speed the Arrancar had been moving. It would be impressive if the creature had the time to figure out what was going on before the wall of wind hit it. If they failed to avoid it or stop it then they would be sent flying, just as they had been by Grasp of Shou-Lao. Given the heap of rubble a dozen meters behind them that wouldn’t exactly be enjoyable.

At this point, Yoko was on quite careful guard against this opponent. Though the speed of their movements and raw power didn’t yet seem to be a threat, that one movement had been troubling. How had they managed to escape her hawk-like gaze so trivially? The amount of distance they covered in that time didn’t indicate a speed she couldn’t have followed, so it had to be something with the method of movement itself. It was of no concern as of yet though. As long as she could at least keep up with the attacks, then a little bit of movement wasn’t the end of the world. She had seen hollows that literally teleported, and that had been a bit different. This one was easier to deal with as it at least seemed to follow the laws of physics from what she could tell.

For now, the game she played was one of defense. That was her nature, but also what was best in this moment. She was unsure of how draining it was for the Arrancar to move like that. If it was trivial, then going in for a melee attack recklessly could easily spell her death. Despite her confidence in her own ability, her battle experience against this race was limited at best. She wasn’t sure of how all their tricks worked, and that meant it was possible for her to be caught off guard by things she hadn’t seen before. That said, she didn’t want to solve the problem by just throwing all her cards on the table either. The fight was just warming up, and it was largely a battle of information at this stage.

Yoko had shown a few cards already. Arguably she had shown more than her opponent. They both had figured out each other’s race, but that was the only point they had parity on. Yoko had seen a bala from this opponent, though she knew they could also use the far slower and larger cero. Outside of that, she had seen a step technique. No hints about their unique power, and no hints about tricks that Arrancar had other than those ones and her knowledge of Hierro’s existence in theory. But she had already revealed her metal arm as well as her general martial talents. The fact that Yoko was a strength based fighter had likely already been determined. She’d revealed both her push and pull. How many more cards did she have to barter with?

The trick now, she supposed, was bait. ”Ya know, for a race that seems to treat us humans like foodstuffs you don’t seem so impressive.” That line, delivered after Fist of Unbroken Air had run its course, was said just to get Frlagos’ attention. ”You call me a racist, but I suppose speciesist would be more accurate. I’ll wear that label proudly though. Just by claiming you won’t kill today doesn’t make you a good person, or even a person at all. You haven’t even shown me anything a basic Hollow couldn’t do. Come now Frlagos, why should I believe you’re anything more than a monster?” With that, her work was hopefully done. If this creature had even a hint of racial pride then it would take the bait. Perhaps a monologue. Perhaps a demonstration. Either way it was likely to up the ante and force the reveal of another card in her opponent’s arsenal.

Technique Description and Effects: [This technique is something developed by Yoko after mastering Low Pressure, and reaching a truly high level of strength. Those with incredible strength are generally able to fire of shockwaves of raw power that can unleash terrible devastation. Such shockwaves have even been known to bypass Hierro. An unintended side effect of Low Pressure was that her shockwaves did not develop in the same way as most high-strength fighters. Instead of striking so hard that she shatters the air, her strength lets her "push" the air. At the most basic level, the difference between shockwaves and this technique is that the shockwave will "punch" things and this technique will "push" things.

Effectively, this technique allows Yoko to use her physical prowess to send out blasts of air. At learned or proficient status, it is only good for basic, ki-blast style gusts of wind from the hands or feet. The bursts of wind push things with force equivalent to Yoko's physical strength. That's the thing though. This technique doesn't cause direct damage, it just sends things flying. Granted, those who horribly neglect their strength may still get injured. If Yoko's physical strength exceeds that of the target by at least five times (ie: less than 160 strength target when Yoko has 800 strength) then they will still suffer bruising on impact. If her strength exceeds theirs by ten times (ie: less than 80 strength target when Yoko has 800 strength) then broken bones are expected. On the off chance that Yoko manages to exceed their strength by twenty times (ie: less than 40 strength target when Yoko has 800 strength) the impact alone is likely to incapacitate them. However, ALL impact damage is completely negated by any skin defense (ie: Hierro) or armor that can withstand at least one fifth of Yoko's strength (ie: Fancy Suit Mk 1 or Amaya's Tattersall Bindings). That won't stop them from going flying though, unless the defense specifically negates stuff like that (looking at you, Blut).

Regardless, the real risk of injury is what happens when they STOP moving. Slamming into walls at high speeds is rarely fun without high strength. If an emeny is hit by Fist of Unbroken Air, then they will go flying at a speed equal to Yoko's strength. The strength of this technique technically works off of impact strength, since it is a martial technique. That means it can be combo'd with techniques like Impact, and can bypass the 3x cap.

Mastery grants a finer level of control. The gusts of wind can be shaped to a degree. With mastery, Yoko can do things like change the gust to be a thin stream of air, a crescent, or even a sphere. Only simple shapes though. No sending any realistic drawings of Ben Franklin at anyone with this technique. The other advantage of mastery is that Yoko can launch the technique from any muscle she can flex. Tensing up everything at once can even briefly create a sphere of air around her that repels any weaker attack! Mastery also allows this to be used with weapons, assuming the user has a 3 in that weapon skill. Really though, the best perk of mastery in Yoko's eyes is the ability to hold back. With mastery the strength of this technique can be reduced as low as 1/10th of her current strength.

As a purely martial technique, this does not cost any reiatsu. Despite that, the gusts of air can clash with reiatsu. If the margin is close enough that the techniques cancel out, then the other technique will just be stopped in its tracks, and probably explode. If the margin is high enough that Fist of Unbroken Air completely overpowers the other technique, it will actively redirect it back along the path that Fist of Unbroken Air was following.]

How to use technique (How is it activated?): [At learned or proficient: punch or kick without holding strength back, and a blast of air comes out. With mastery, any movement or muscle flexed can send a burst of wind flying.]

Technique Drawbacks: [First, there are strict requirements to learn this technique. A minimum of 800 strength is required, as well as a 3 in one of two martial arts (listed above). A previous technique is required to be mastered, and that technique requires points in Calm Mind. Also, like Low Pressure caused Gravity Crushing to be lost forever, Fist of Unbroken Air causes the basic shockwave ability to be forever lost. Also, this technique will basically never do damage against a fighter of equal class unless they are standing next to a brick wall and have both low strength and no defenses. It's more of a defensive counterpart to shockwaves, which limits the damage output significantly. Oh, it can also be completely resisted (like, the target won't even move an inch) if they have strength 50% higher than Yoko. Others can resist being blown away by a variety of methods, including random stuff like Soul Commanding the ground they're standing on to be really sticky.]

Now, Lagos was thinking for sure that a point blank Bala would surely allow for a heavy amount of damage, but yet, as she somersaulted, she turned to see her Bala clash with wind, then fly off into the sky before detonation. ‘Impressive.’ Lagos thought this to herself as she’d go on her little speech for a moment, allowing the Fullbringer to articulate her own thoughts. However, it was then that Lagos was slowly starting to realize a winding pattern, her eyes were not the sharpest, but she saw the slightest drift pick up of dust lifting before she suddenly felt herself slammed by an invisible force. No. Slam wasn’t the right word. She was more of...pushed. Lagos was sent flying, and a far distance at that as she was slammed into a pile of rubble comprised of wood, bricks, and odd metal piping. There was an audible crash as first broke through a lining of wood and pipe. Her outfit was utterly ripped and tattered by such. However, thankfully, Lagos was a spiritual being. More so, she was an Arrancar.

In order to prevent herself causing any further damage, she formed an air platform under her feet, skidding on it as her legs bobbed in hovering air for a few moments as she resisted force. With that, she crashed just into the the second line of rubble. She laid there for a moment before recovering as smoke rose. In the cover of that smoke, Yoko might think that Lagos might have died, or at least she was heavily injured. However, in that moment, Lagos quickly focused her spiritual power. Unacceptable. Lagos didn’t have much pride as a race. However, she did have pride for herself. In the rising dust which cleared out gradually, Lagos laid in a light indent as she could feel herself ache inside a bit. However, from there, she opened her eyes and channeled her spiritual power further. Suddenly, that air would rush outward, dispersing clearly as a yellow aura wrapped around Lagos. This fullbringer needed to learn her place.

Afterward, Lagos would stand, using Sonido, the clearly audible kind to close the distance between the two of them to around twenty five meters. “I am not a monster. However...if you want me to be...then listen closely to my call.” Lagos drew her turquoise handled blade before she pointed it downward, stabbing the thing into the ground. “Sly...Vulpecas.” There was a rise in the ambient spirit energy as it drastically grew with Lagos’ release call. It wrapped around her as that fox mask on the top of her head began to cackle, laugh a soundless laugh, before warping around her upper face. Standing there, she waited for Yoko to give any of her conceited opinions before Lagos pointed her nine tails, her power growing further as she’d transfer her spiritual power, and then her tails spun.

She wanted to see how her opponent was going to deal with something like this. All it took was a sudden moment. A sudden moment and suddenly the winds rapidly picked up and spun around the both of them, just barely encompassing them both. Lagos had been careful to measure distance, because now, Yoko would be near the border, the most dangerous part of the twister as the furious winds oppressed her. They were in a dome. Moving would be incredibly difficult, but on top of this, stepping would be impossible if she were caught in here. The winds swirled furiously at a constant speed of 900, and with it, Lagos stood on the other edge, a neutral look on her face, wondering how the human was going to greet this particular challenge. In this state, her power was drastically increased, beyond what most Arrancar could boast at her level.

“Gomen...but this is what you wanted....” Lagos wasn’t even sure if Yoko could hear her over the swirling winds. However, it didn’t matter. Yoko would have to suffer through this powerful storm. She would likely see cuts form on her arms and legs from being so close to the border, but Lagos hadn’t done anything yet. Debris from the area would be picked up by this powerful wind, being hurtled off into the distance, some crashing down into their little zone. Lagos stood strong, ready to face anything that her opponent had to face. This was her homefield, and she knew this field better than anyone. “Shall we begin?”

The user will swing their tails to create a spinning dome of wind that slices any external forces around it. This technique is same in concept, but a bit different in execution of techniques. Her winds like the other two are incapable of harming her directly as much as her enemies. Her winds move and are manipulated as the same way as her other two techniques. The wind could be spun at such fast speed, that it acts as a perfect protection against projectiles. Wind may be fired like projectiles and or used in combination attacks with her other two disasters. Those that are in the center of the dome are safe from being picked up and sliced by powerful winds. Lagos is incapable of being sliced by her own wind and or sent flying as it simply whooshes past her. Those who are not in the center may not use step techniques nor those who are outside of its vicinity as the wind shall grab and swallow them in the gust. She may step without risk of being carried away despite being anywhere near these winds.]

Success. Fist of Unbroken Air had landed right on target, and Yoko’s foe had been sent blasting backwards straight through one of the homes that the Fullbringer had leveled earlier in the day. She took a moment to adjust her stance and take a good few deep breaths. If Arrancar were even a fraction as tough as she had heard, then this battle was only just getting started. She had heard of the might of their iron skin, Hierro. If those stories were true then such an attack would be far from a battle ender. No, it would be a nice wakeup call and nothing more. All that was left was to wait for the inevitable return of her opponent.

It seemed that moment came after not too long. Yoko heard a second impact after the demon she battled hit a second house, but only seconds later she felt a change on the wind. The pressure on the wind had amplified. Its speed had picked up. Apparently her attack had pissed the creature off. She offered her bait and the Arrancar took it. In a clearly audible step of Sonido the demon returned within a close range and offered but a few words. Though Yoko didn’t know the details of her opponent’s unique power, she recognized a release phrase when she heard one. ”Sly… Vulpecas.” Though Yoko was no master analyst, she caught the clear allusion to the fox in the release name without issue.

There was no time to analyze though. Her opponent’s form had changed, and with it a tornado formed around her enemy, with Yoko just on the outer edge of it. Even by Yoko’s standards the winds whipped around at a frightening pace, just below her own speed with Movement. At first she thought it might not be much to worry about though. She knew she was more powerful than her opponent, and she knew the limited damage that wind could deal. But then her right arm got sliced open. “Gomen...but this is what you wanted....Shall we begin?” In the time her opponent had said that, another cut had formed on her left leg, and a deep scratch former on her metallic left arm.

She had fallen victim to hubris and underestimated her opponent. How disgustingly pathetic. Yoko, normally a cautious fighter, had taken an early lead and let it go to her head. The level of damage she had taken wasn’t yet an issue, but it was obvious she couldn’t stand in that spot for long. If she did then she would be out of the fight within a minute. With one motion she whipped her body around in a full circle with her arms outstretched. Fist of Unbroken Air launched out in a circle around her, once again serving a simultaneous offensive and defensive purpose. With that spin she created a counterforce against the winds of her opponent’s technique and sent a wall of wind blasting back at her opponent.

Though her offensive strength was now actually lower than her opponent’s she was still in good shape as her opponent’s release hadn’t been refined to the point that it was the same league as her mastery of the martial arts. One day they would be on an even playing field, but today was not that day. Fist of Unbroken Air reigned as the highest class air technique on that day. But there was a problem. As soon as that first revolution was completed the wind of the Arrancar’s release came roaring back. Yoko simply didn’t have the range to blow it all out at once. Her spin continued into a second revolution, but this one launched her outwards straight through the wall of wind.

Thanks to her protective circle of wind, Yoko had managed to both escape the wall of wind and had launched two wind blasts at her opponent as well. As soon as she was clear of the typhoon she attempted to kick off with a step of Movement to get some distance, but she instantly found that she couldn’t do so with such a lightweight step. Cursing her luck she dug into the ground and kicked off with all of her physical strength, which sent her bounding away from the dangerous tornado of wind. Once she had created a little bit of distance she turned to face the attack that she had to deal with. How would she manage it though?

A few options flashed through her head, but only one seemed like a sure thing. Power flowed into her right arm as the Fullbringer prepared for one of the strongest punches that she could possibly throw. She needed to go for broke if she was going to overwhelm her opponent in their Resurrection. Either her opponent would come to her, seeking to get Yoko back within the dangerous winds, or Yoko would bound back towards that which she had only just escaped. It mattered not, but this blow was thrown in close proximity to the edge of the whipping winds. She didn’t want to resort to this technique, but she also didn’t see a better way to dispel the winds without using such a powerful strike.

”KARAKUUURAAA SMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH!!!!!”

With one cross from her right arm a massive blast of wind erupted across the battlefield. This was Fist of Unbroken Air, but it was amplified by Impact. This was a technique that amplified her power by an insane amount, but lasted only for an instant. That one shot was all she needed though. That Fist of Unbroken Air was an absolute monster. With 3200 impact strength the sheer volume of the attack was obscene. A force of wind engulfed and ripped straight through the body of the tornado, and likely anything that was inside it as well. With that much power behind it, the attack could send anything there blasting away at nearly step technique speeds. Even with Frlagos’ strength, this Fist of Unbroken Air would be enough to shatter their bones if they didn’t have a way to avoid or stop this attack.

It was enough to dispel the roaring whirlwind without a doubt, but it didn’t come without its cost. Worse than the reiatsu drain was the hit to her stamina. After even a single use of that much power at once Yoko felt her breath catch in her chest. Her breathing was ragged, and her arm felt like an elephant had been on it for the last hour. As if she needed another problem, a trickle of blood rolled down her nose. She hadn’t even noticed the cut in the center of her forehead from the adrenaline pumping through her veins. She wasn’t sure if that technique would end the fight then and there, but she really hoped that the Arrancar wasn’t tough enough to endure that much strength. If it could, she was straight up fucked.

This is a movement technique. It's to keep up with things like Shunpo or Sonido. While all races using this have their own variant of a step technique already, this one is pretty much an in-general type of move. It attunes the physical body to the reiatsu in the air, rather than spiritual to spiritual. It is now physical to spiritual. This allows the user to step at 3x speed for the cost of only 25 Reiatsu.

How to use technique: Focus the body’s energy and release during a step. This technique can be broken off in the middle of its use. Unlike other step techniques, this one can be repeated while in the middle of the previous one, allowing someone to change their movement course in mid movement.

Technique Description and Effects:
This technique is one that makes use of the body directly, using the user’s spiritual strength to increase the body’s capabilities in specific ways. Like Willpower, this technique comes in stages as well, but is limited to two:

• [Stage 1: Push]: This power coats the user in a sort of "Output Aura." It does two things. First, awareness can extend out by two more inches. This means someone will become more aware of an incoming attack two inches of distance from the attack earlier than normal. It means that one can try to use this to predict enemies, though not as successfully as actual prediction or reading. The secondary point expands "damage." Essentially, it bypasses defenses. A human using this is completely immune to cutback effect regardless of state, and this extends to weapon uses too. Hierro is also completely ignored during use of Push. This defense ignoring is only present during physical attacks. Reiatsu-based strikes can still meet Hierro resistance. This lasts for 5 posts, and costs 100 Reiatsu.
  
  
• [Stage 2: Impact]: This stage can be used only for physical confrontation. When activated, hit strength quadruples. This means that one can activate it while punching an enemy. If the user has 200 strength, that strength will count as 800 during the instance of the punch. This is very physically draining, and quickly exhausts the body's nutrients. It shortens lifespan to use too often, and it weakens stamina very quickly. This lasts for 1 post, and costs 200 Reiatsu.

[Lagos Oscuras]

Destructive power. That was what Lagos’ release primarily was. As her clawed hands wielded a now formed Naginata which flung from the winds, she watched Yoko get lightly cut. However, now that she was in here. No. So long as she was in here, Lagos could play around with Yoko and cut her up as she’d like. Yet, it seemed that the Fullbringer was determined to fight her. Pushing out with her powerful punch, this time, she didn’t need to focus hard. She could see the sudden shift of dust as one wind briefly pushed against the other. Seeing Yoko was on the other side of the tornado, Lagos, used her wind at her back with a flick of one tail, pushing out, trying to slam into that equally strong wind. Lagos in that moment rushed out of the width of it’s range, her own wind only being able to clash for a mere moment before hers was overpowered. “Geh...how troublesome. Kuso.” She dived, quickly rolling before a small hole was blasted through her dome.

The fullbringer had escaped from her dome. Yes, Yoko would likely have realized that she couldn’t step. It would be tough to deal with. Or it might have if she hadn’t used her massive strength instead to thrust herself far away. In that moment, Lagos briefly slowed her winds, allowing herself to see what the hell was going on. Well, she saw Yoko in the distance, rearing her fist back, and in that moment, Lagos had saw the obvious telegraph. Her instinct told her that she needed to dodge. If she didn’t, she was going to die. This Hollow instinct made her speed up her wind drastically, hoping to repel the wind. Also, it would make seeing inside of her defense impossible. Sonido. Lagos used a Sonido to shoot up into the sky, then utilize airground to prevent falling down below.

There was a catastrophic blast, a blast that burst right through her wind like it was butter. It was only because of the distance that Yoko had opted to put between the tornado and Lagos herself that this was possible. To...be surpassed at even this stage? No. Impossible. However, seeing it was hard to see, and seeing that Yoko had no surefire way of knowing if her attack worked or not, Lagos fed on that opportunity. Utilizing the Sin Sonido another time, she shot through a dust cloud which would arise as a result of Yoko's incredible wind power, quite literally ripping the ground where she once was in a gigantic indent on the ground as if a giant knife had scraped across the land. Appearing silently behind the likely now tired and exhausted Yoko, to deceive her, into thinking that Lagos had fallen. However, this was because Lagos simply took the time to strike. Lagos attempted to stand right behind the woman, and then, she would wordlessly attack.

Suddenly, all nine tails and Lagos’ own person would shoot out, attempting to wrap around Yoko’s arms, legs, neck, and torso as she utilized her attack. “Fuerza Del Mundo.” Those tails would unleash a gout of magma from their tips, directly onto Yoko’s flesh if successful, and incredibly fast. Much like the wind, 100 feet of it would wrap around them like a gigantic bubble, looking to melt her flesh apart. However, to Lagos, it was simply a warm embrace...a non harmful liquid. Even if Yoko had beaten Lagos while grappled, there was simply too much grasping onto Yoko to effectively avoid getting enveloped in this magma orb. Lagos was also trying to restrict movement as best she could. Also...her Hierro was just barely stronger than Yoko’s base physical strength. Hmm? Also...neither of them could breath in here. This hell would kiss them until one stopped moving, or until one freed them.

Their speed would be cut in half in this liquid. Their step would be unusable. However, it would be only Yoko that would feel the intoxicating burn. ‘You refer to yourself as a hero, but you shall be the martyr for your cause then. You had called me a monster, and so a monster is what I have become. You thought yourself a savior, but you shall suffer for it.’ So then, with that, Lagos had done well. It was a clever plan to be hugging around Yoko, her legs wrapping around her stomach. She wanted to avoid getting punched or kicked by a nasty backhand, and she was about done with this sillyness. However, in the event this failed, it would be time to run off. She had exhausted too much energy for this madness. With a durability like hers, yes, perhaps she could survive if she were swift. However, the Magma swirled around them, and with that, Lagos called check. 

Hopefully Yoko would never again think that fighting an Arrancar was a cakewalk ever again. Lagos simply played her trump, the ultimate ward of physical fighters. A hazardous environment like the one she could make was something that few would dare face. However, what else did Yoko have? Did she have something greater? Lagos had not even seen a release from the wonderful woman before her. If only they weren't so different, then Lagos would have enjoyed her company. Well, this hug, this embrace was enough. Though, Lagos didn't want to kill anyone. In the event the struggling stopped, Lagos released her magma, letting it droop, and only when Lagos was certain that the opponent was unable to fight, did she let Yoko drop, to be cooled off rapidly by rapid winds, to save her life. However, the long term burns  would be there. That was not her problem.

Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): [The ability to generate magma from the tails of Lagos. The amount of magma created is massive and to the extent of a small volcano having erupted. Lagos may manipulate this magma for as long as her release is active alongside any other natural disasters she may have created at the time of manipulation. After the release has ended, she is incapable of manipulating it further as it shall fall to the ground. She is immune to the heat and the feeling of the magma that she creates as to her it feels much like a smooth sticky liquid when walking through it. She is able to manipulate it to a supernatural level including direction, flow, density, shape, and movements at the speed of 900 100 speed per tail. In case one tail is sliced off, her weapon may substitute for one tail. The lava is able to be used diversely such as coating the user inside of it for protection, incinerating everything in it's path as being near it is capable of lighting clothes on fire. It is capable of being used in combinations with the other disasters she may form as well. The magma created appears to be oddly black in color with small bits of orange visible. This is the magma of hell she creates with the swing of her tails. One may be able to discern that the movements of the lava depend much on the movements of her tails and or weapon in order to cause the magma to be manipulated. The user creates 100 feet of lava around the user to be manipulated at the cost of 600 reiatsu.]



How to use technique (How is it activated?): [The user waves their tails as from the tips, magma will erupt in a massive gout surrounding the user in a circular formation before being manipulated as the user sees fit. The user must either focus the manipulation of the magma through the motions of one's weapon and or tails in order to manipulate this magma. The technique is powerful in all rights, but does have a fair weakness. Pay 600 reiatsu.]



Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc) (



1. The disaster does not discriminate between friend or foe and does make the environment extremely hazardous. Although the user may be immune to the sheer heat of this technique, when trudging through the liquid, it is like walking through thick water cutting their speed in half and making it impossible to use a step technique whilst inside.



2. If the user's tails are bound, the user may not manipulate the magma nearly to the extent as with the weapon. When a tail is severed, portions of the magma is lost control of from the user. Although this is unlikely, this means that if the user has been attacked and has lost a tail/tails, they are unable to manipulate the magma to the fullest extent. Of course, this means that if the user is bound or unable to move, they are also unable to move the lava.



3. If the user has their magma cooled by water or other such materials, they are unable to manipulate it seeing it is now stone. Thus that is the easiest exploitable weakness to the magma. However, this could also be used to the user's advantage geographically depending on the situation.



4. Those that have a 50% higher offensive stat than her highest offensive stat will find that the lava is not hot at all, and like Lagos are immune to the heat of it. However, they too may only move at half speed and will find it impossible to step while within this liquid substance.



5. When controlling multiple disasters at the same time, the tails must divide control so control over multiple disasters is more sloppy and can lead to ineffective attacks being made on an enemy. The user of course must concentrate on all of these movements and as such must be careful not to lose focus on manipulating her power. )

This battle had exploded from zero all the way to one hundred in an instant. The release of the Arrancar had forced a shift from casual to full power in an instant. Given the sheer might of their release it seemed like Yoko had to go all out too, but some part of her held back a vestige of her power. She hadn’t released her Fullbring, and instead continued to play a cautious game to some degree. She had busted out impact and that was enough to deal with one attack, but it seemed it wasn’t enough to end the fight. Her opponent thought herself to still be at the top of her game just because she had released, but they hadn’t realized the state they were in either.

Frlagos had used a tremendous amount of power in an instant, with over 80% of their reiatsu used in one fell swoop. Of course this had meant there was a considerable drop in stamina on her opponent's end as well. More so than even the drain of a technique like impact. Yeah, Yoko was tired after that blow, but she was far from running on empty yet. A single usage of impact was enough to max out her heart rate out of nowhere, but she still had plenty of fight left in her. The lacerations on her body would need medical attention soon, but she could tough out the pain for quite some time yet.

One thing was clear though. The fight wasn’t over yet. Yoko had kicked up a huge cloud of dust with the Karakura Smash, and something had flown out of it from way up high. She couldn’t follow the movement again, but the thing blew a hole in the dust cloud with its movement, and that had given her enough to know that her opponent still wasn’t down for the count. Given that the burst through had come from way up high, it looked like her attack had been evaded. A curse was uttered under her breath as she realized she had to force more of her power out. She waisted no time in charging the reiatsu to active one more technique.

The sound of ragged cloth caught her ear behind her. Tails wrapped around her body. The two women called out their moves at the same instant. ”Fuerza KAIO Del Mundo. KEN!” At that same moment they had both activated what would likely be their final attacks. Lava blasted all out over Yoko’s body, but at the same moment a massive sphere of wind burst forth from every inch of her skin. Having seen that even Fist of Unbroken Air couldn’t defeat the Arrancar’s attacks by itself, Yoko had been pushed to activate Pulley as well. With the increase in strength and speed by 50% her power eclipsed anything that her opponent could muster.

And this time the result was decisive. As the wave of wind erupted in all directions. Dodging was virtually unthinkable. Frlagos had burnt everything they had left to unleash this last attack, and was within melee range of the Fullbringer, with multiple limbs actively on her. Having those tails evade was utterly impossible. The wave of wind blew the lava out in all directions, blasting the last vestige of the Arrancar’s power to oblivion. With it went the Arrancar. The force of Fist of Unbroken Air would send them blasting off into the distance, and this time the difference in strength was enough that their body would be battered and bruised all over. But bruised wasn’t dead.

Even in that instant, with her amplified strength, Yoko couldn’t land a finishing blow right away. She emerged from the magma field rather toasty, and with burns in a few spots to compliment her lacerations, but she still had power left. The Fullbringer allowed herself only a few breaths before she kicked off towards her opponent and went for one last strike. Wherever Frlagos had landed, Yoko was there only a moment later. What she hoped was one last attack, a brutal jumping punch toward the Arrancar’s core, was her shot to end it before her opponent could recover. This time she at least knew she had hit with Fist of Unbroken Air, but she needed to end it with that strike.

Impact had taken a lot out of her, and Pulley, or Kaioken as she preferred to call it, actively shredded her body while she used it. She could tolerate it for short bursts, but nothing more. Between both of those techniques and the damage she had already taken this wasn’t anything she could let continue for long. Her heart rate was as high as it could naturally go, and adrenaline flooded through her veins. As soon as the adrenaline high ran out she too would be out of juice most likely. There was still some reiatsu in the tank, but unless she managed to find some time to rest it wasn’t going to get her very far.

{Willpower}Technique Name: Physical Manifestation: Willpower

Technique Description and Effects:
Willpower is a technique that is available to most who dwell within the human world, and has a variety of effects that make it a versatile and useful technique. This technique is one that manifests the willpower of the physical body. It essentially causes spirit and physical body to "become one" and merge their powers. There are two uses of it. The first is a non battle use, and is the main use. The main use is simply to know the technique, which slows the aging process of the body and allows the possessor to live easily as long as a Shinigami or Arrancar. This is a will-based technique, however, and thus, if will vanishes, so does its power to stop the aging, which quickly catches up. Mod Souls and Bounts have a minor version of this part at all times, which allows them to age slowly at all times; humans and Quincy learn this version at Class 1.

Willpower has three stages that are associated with it, as listed below:

• [Stage One: Cog]: By giving up 100 Reiatsu, the user pumps an explosive amount of intimidating power out. Anyone of inferior class will immediately be intimidated. This does not mean they won't fight. Those who are weak enough in comparison will feel a huge, exaggerated surge of power that will probably make them surrender. This can also be used on Hollows to actually scare them away instead of having to kill them. This does NOT work on animals! It only works on "intelligent beings." This means unless it has a similar to human intelligence, this wont' work on an animal.
  
  
• [Stage Two: Pulley]: This causes physical output to increase based on draining spiritual energy. It costs 400 reiatsu. When activated, it increases physical stats by 50%. However, it causes the skin to begin to blister from pumped out Reiatsu. Essentially, skin begins to burn. It's a quick burn. Within 5 posts, burning will start to become quite serious. On top of that, statistic gain is lost by the post, starting after the second post of this being active. After that time, 10% of the gain is lost every post. It can only be restored by sacrificing 150 Reiatsu per 10%.
  
  
• [Stage Three: Gate]: This has no initial cost. Reiatsu strength and Spiritual pressure (but NOT Reiatsu amount) both double. From there, reiatsu output goes up, meaning that costs are also doubled for everything. On top of that, 100 reiatsu is lost per post until this is deactivated.

Drawback: See each individual stage. Atop that, when Willpower is learned, it comes with all three stages, but costs double the TTP to learn. Humans, Mod Souls, Quincy, and Bounts only.

Annoying. This Fullbringer was the epitome of annoying. With the announcement of this “Kaioken” technique, Lagos was thinking that surely Yoko would be enveloped and then overtaken by her magma. However, it was then...within mere moments of skin contact that the wind force of the woman came forth, this time seemingly blasting from every angle of her body somehow as opposed to a singular direction. It was because of this, and with her increase in strength, Lagos was sent off in the opposite direction, the woman feeling as if she had been punched and beaten severely. Impossible...Her Hierro should have. Damn it all. Damn this human. Damn her lack of power. In that moment, there was a pause for Lagos Oscuras. She had to prepare herself for an assault.

So, even as she flew through another two layers, she was prepared. Utilizing Cero Extension, Lagos had clenched her fists, as well as clenching her mouth shut. She was a master of Cero, and with this technique could utilize it to maximum destructive power. It was time for Lagos to utilize everything she could...to try and overwhelm this human with the sheer destructive power that she could muster. It was time to release what she liked to call “Lagos Nine.” Around each tail, she gathered reiatsu, of which in this state was a trivial number. There was no fatigue for such simple techniques such as Cero or Bala. So, as she crashed into the final layer, she could hear the resistance of Yoko in the air as her Cero finished formation. Her tails curled inward, and with her hands extended.

As the smoke revealed a simple shadow of the woman falling through, Lagos unleashed a horrendous twelve Cero in one conjoined beam. It wasn’t any match for something such as the Gran Rey Cero, and a farcry from Cero Oscuras. However, it was something that Lagos gambled. When Yoko attempted that jumping punch on Lagos, the general idea was that she would be closing distance. Yet, Lagos released all of her Cero at the same time much like a spartan laser if someone wanted a comparison. It was a gigantic blast that would easily not only wrap around say Yoko, but would rip through the surrounding landscape. It would rip through all in it’s path much like Yoko’s powerful attack from earlier. Yet, would it be enough? Lagos even without say her powerful release techniques could still be formidable.

She just had to play intelligently. Assuming Yoko was enveloped and carried away by her blast, Lagos would stand up, immediately forming several more Cero on each of her tails. “Insane...to be pushed to this extent. No human has ever pushed me this far. Only against my Espada have I ever considered using the concept of Lagos nine.” Her eyes looked bewildered at this epiphany. However, with that, Lagos felt that she had enough of this foolishness. Assuming that Lagos wasn’t beaten right now, she would open her mouth and release a hollow like shriek, of which a rip in space would appear with a large masked face peeing through. A domesticated Menos Grande, opening a garganta opening. “I’ll admit it...as of now, I can’t beat you. Feel pride in this.” She would then attempt to step straight through the darkness, then leave. She was in all honesty tired. She would feel much worse after her Ressurecion would end. This was evident. So, she had to hurry and get to a place she could rest. Other than the labored breaths, that was all she would indicate. No weakness was to be shown. 

Unless Yoko was particularly looking for a fight, her part of the battle was likely over. She would be left with the magma that was slowly cooling. She’d be left with an even more destroyed wreckage of a location. Yoko would be left to ponder her apparent victory/stalemate. Lagos did not lose. Rather, she was working on retreating. Yet, Lagos didn’t have the time, the energy, nor the resources to see how such a battle would ensue. Large wounds would be a trouble for her for there were few within her Hollow militia she was building that could feasibly heal her. Eating other spiritual beings was another way, but when injured, it was easier to be assaulted. So, as fast as Lagos came, she would have to chicken out. Shame. However, Lagos had learned much about the Fullbringer Yoko Kusanagi’s capabilities in one meeting. That kind of knowledge was invaluable.

In this state, with Pulley active, there was nothing that the Arrancar could do to stop the coming onslaught. With the added strength and speed from Kaioken coursing through the Fullbringers veins she had increased in might to the point where there was no comparison between the two fighters anymore. Yoko was faster. Yoko was stronger. In this state she had never met someone who could stand up to her raw power. This was something that she knew was enough to overwhelm even the might of a respectable Shinigami Vice-Captain like Kazuko. Given that she had been able to overcome the magma only a few seconds ago she had no concern about a mere Cero.

When she pushed through the smoke and saw the blasts pointed at her, her fist continued on without a hint of hesitation. She didn’t even need Fist of Unbroken Air anymore. Her raw might was so great that her fist punched straight through the cero. The rays of red were split like an axe through kindling. Splinters and shards of crimson reiatsu peeled and burst out on either side of her fist, but her punch didn’t hit its mark. Maybe it had been the little bit of resistance from the attack she’d had to go through. Maybe her eyesight had betrayed her, or perhaps this was just a sign of how much this technique took out of her.

Once Yoko had landed from the punch, she was right in front of her opponent. Frlagos rose and spoke to her, ever defiant and prideful. She spoke of never being pushed this far before. The Arrancar talked about how humans shouldn’t be able to do that. Yoko was quick to fire back. ”You’ll have to bring even more then that next time akuma.” Given the massive amount of drain that Frlagos would be under from having spent so much reiatsu so rapidly, it was impressive that the hollowspawn could still stand, let alone speak. Yoko figured it was owed mostly to bravado, but it also spoke the durability of the Arrancar. Even after pushing beyond their bodies limits they still held up quite well.

And then, staring eye to eye, her opponent admitted they couldn’t win. Yoko knew that of course. She hadn’t even released yet, and her opponent was completely spent. If the Fullbringer had brought her full power into this fight then she likely wouldn’t even have been injured in the first place. That was fine though. She had fought to test her own limits against the Arrancar and learned where she truly stood in relation to the spiritual monsters. A tear in space opened up behind Frlagos, with a Menos Grande within it. Though some might feel threatened by the addition of such a potential foe, Yoko had no concern about it, and actively ignored it.

She didn’t stop her opponent from retreating back into her realm either. Instead, she calmly spoke to Frlagos one last time. ”Run back to your masters and tell them of this day. I let you live so that you may warn all of your world of the might that protects the World of the Living. We are not so weak that we rely on the Shinigami for everything. Go back and tell them that Yoko Kusanagi beat you the same way she’ll beat any other Arrancar that trespass into the World of the Living ever again.” It was a cocky declaration to be sure, but given the outcome of this short brawl she was quite confident in it. The Fullbringer hadn’t even reached the peak of her power yet. Every day she grew stronger. Every day she would be better able to push back any more Arrancar that came. It was only to carry this message that she let the Arrancar step into the void and vanish.

With the threat gone, Yoko surved the area around her. She allowed pulley to expire and took a few deep breaths as she saw the destruction that her unrestrained battle had caused. It was fortunate that this area had all been slated for demolition already, otherwise she would have been in for a world of lectures from someone. Maybe Kazura. Maybe the actual police. Hard to say honestly. The magma would eventually solidify and take care of itself. It’d be mildly annoying, but nothing a jackhammer couldn’t deal with. With the battle settled in her favor, Yoko began the journey back to the office. No, not today. Even Yoko realized she should go take care of her wounds. She could write the report while she waited in line at the clinic.

Mission Report – Defense of Karakura against Arrancar #K-99, Frlagos Oscuras

While performing a routine publicity stunt on the outskirts of Karakura I encountered a being that identified itself as Arrancar #K-99, Frlagos Oscuras and engaged in combat. I am happy to report that no civilians were around to become a casualty, and this battle occurred in a section of town that was due to be demolished to make way for new construction anyway. As such, there was nearly no property damage worth mentioning. The Arrancar had offensive potency lower than my own by a significant margin while in its base form. I would estimate it to be below 600 in terms of raw power. Abilities displayed in the base form included basic bala and a stepping technique. What was odd was that this step technique, try as I might, could not be kept track of.

It functioned like a normal one based on the timing of it, and it disturbed a dust cloud at one point, so it is not a teleportation ability. Despite that I couldn’t track it even with my superhuman instinct and senses. This is a dangerous ability, and one that all employees should keep in mind if they engage an Arrancar. Once released, Frlagos displayed a considerable increase in offensive potency, as well as several abilities that I expect were unique to their power. Abilities displayed included a tornado filled with winds that were able to cut me. Their offensive power was great enough that they could even slice into my metal arm, which was utterly impervious to the Arrancar’s earlier bala.

In addition, the subject was able to summon red hot magma at will, which was hot enough to leave me burned after only a fraction of a second of contact. In order to overcome this foe I was forced to resort to strength amplifiers like Pulley and Impact, but it did not require my Fullbring. In the end, Frlagos retreated after burning through all their stamina very quickly. My overall assessment is that if this foe is encountered, all new employees should immediately flee. Senior Employees can likely hold their own, and the upper echelon such as Luke or Marcus should be able to win handily. Any manager or above should have no problems here.

Oh, I almost forgot. Their release has them grow nine tails, all of which can fire cero, and that’s where the magma came from. The cero weren’t stronger than normal, but the tails are probably important because of that, and are potentially a weak spot worth exploiting if this foe is encountered and an employee finds themselves struggling against them. A final note is that the target did not display any exceptional martial arts or swordsmanship. This does not mean it is incapable, but those capacities were not utilized if they exist. It is my belief that this enemy is a caster type foe. As such, stamina should be conserved for dodges as necessary per standard anti-caster protocols.

Yoko was snapped back to the world around her by the sound of her own name. The clinic’s doctor had called for her, and she went off to go get patched up. All in all, as she had reflected on the capabilities of her foe, she felt good about how things had gone. Her report was ready to print and submit when she got back to the office, and she felt that she had expose most, if not all, of her opponent’s ability. She had let them live to send a message, but that part didn’t need to be in the report. Now that the report was done, her brain finally allowed the pain to set in. Thankfully all it took when you were visibly injured was a “oh god the pain” and suddenly you had some wonderful happy pills.

She was going to enjoy a few days off while she recovered.
