Practical Training Begins!

It truly seemed like Zadora was captivated by her ability and who could really blame her. The ability was something marvelous that wasn't only cool to look at, but fit her personality as well as her most potent aspect physically. Rafael knew that he was delighted yet scared when his own ability had manifested yet Zadora didn't have to worry about fear for she already knew a beast with an ability. This wasn't something brand new to her like it had been for him. She got to experience the new addition to herself with basically only the good.

She couldn't stay still it was cute how she kept moving from one paw to another as she watched the lightning jolts jump from one spot to another. The intensity of training was all gone replaced by a warmth of laughter and smiles something that in all honestly Rafael hadn't ever really experienced until now. Sure he and Zadora had been friendly since they met, but this felt different. He was happy. Her reaction to his question was one that made him feel like all of her anger toward him just a few minutes ago was worth it all.

"Alright then let's get started. First you need to focus your energy into the pads on your lower paws. It won't be super easy, but you should be able to tell when you've got the energy in your paws. It'll feel kinda heavy or warm. Let me know when you think you've got it." Rafael was thinking over how he had been taught to use the technique and realized without formal training Zadora might have a much harder time grasping it than he did and he had to try fairly hard just to grasp what little skill he possessed with it now.

She watched him from the corner of her eyes as she watching the lightening. The tension between the two of them is now gone. This had her smiling even more. Well she could never stay mad at him. He was her first friend to make after coming to this place. One who is willing to help her. Even if that help is frustrating her to no end but it was help in the least. She would rather live and continue to know him then get killed because she didn't know how to defend herself.

A round ear twitched as he spoke. Grabbing her attention from her thoughts as she looked to him full. Her brows furrowed together in confusion before she nodded her head. She reached a breath as she closed her eyes. She was concentrating on what he had told her to do. With little explanation, it was hard. Her mind was to excited from learning her new ability. Her tail started to flick back and forth rapidly as she stood in silence.

Her tail flicking seven times before she finally had her mind clear from the excitement of her new found abilities. She bit down on her bottom lip, being careful of her large fangs as she concentrated on what she had to do. He already told her it wont be easy. Well then he was right. Biting back a growl as she opened her eyes and turned her head up to look at him. "Show me how to do." She spoke out as she looked up at him. She was already growing frustrated.

She needed him to show her who he did it. An example to get most of what he was saying. Like a child, she needed him to show her to get the most of it with his explanation. She panted her paws against the ground as she turned her head down to look at her feet. He said to focus her energy down to her feet. Sure.. It was far harder then just the simple explanation. "I need more information Rafael."

Just as he had expected the prospect of Zadora being able to pull off the technique right away with no challenge whatsoever was a fantasy. If he couldn't manage it easily then it was safe to assume that anyone around or below his proficiency wouldn't be able to do so. The way that she focused he thought was somehow cute though. She was definitely trying she just want sure how to go about what he was telling her to do and that was alright because he hadn't understood it at first either.

It didn't take long for Zadora to realize that she needed help which was good because standing in the cold without actually moving made Rafael realize just how cold it was at the moment. "Damn this would be perfect if only the snow was gone." he thought to himself just prior to Zadora asking him to show her what he had done. She was someone that learned better from examples which Rafael believed was the case for most people. He shifted his weight moving his left leg back and bending his knees slightly taking on the appearance that he was getting ready to take off towards her at a sprint.

"Think about how it feels when you flex your muscles. You have to focus on that area. When I do this technique I focus on my paws in the same way, but I don't actually flex. After awhile I started to feel my energy go to where I was focusing. The trick is to feel it even just a little and then when you step forward your energy will help you" Rafael made sure she was looking at the bottom of his paws at least a little while he had been explaining choosing to point down at them with his right paw.

Then without a word he'd vanish once again although this time instead of bashing into Zadora and sending her flying backwards into the snow he'd stop just passed her on her right side. She wouldn't be able to see him right away instead she'd feel a gust of air brush passed her giving her the hint that he was now behind her. "Once you figure it out you'll be able to move fast enough to close the distance on almost anyone." Rafael turned back around and gave Zadora a massive grin.

She stood there is silence waiting for him to give her a better explanation or even show her how he did it. She stiffened the very moment he shifted his weight towards his lift side well bending his knees to get into a lower stance. He looked like he was gonna charge at her that very moment. Her eyes narrowed as she shook her head. He wasn't gonna attack her right? Maybe this was how he was gonna show her this technique?

When he spoke, starting to explain how he learn the technique himself. When he mentioned about his body. She turned her head down, looked down at his feet. Like flexing the paws well not flexing them? It was a weird way of explaining it. She glanced down to her own paws for the moment, furrowing her brows before looking back to his. Then he was done explaining how to learn the technique he was teaching her. She glanced between his paws then back to her.

When she looked back to his, he was gone. Her eyes when as she lifted her head. Suddenly there was a gust of wind brushing passed her body. If her fur wasn't already bristled, it would be now. She turned her head to the side looking behind her. All she saw behind her was a large muscle back of her friends. She looked over every defined muscle of his back before she turned her head straight. A small shiver ran through her then she shook her head.

After a few moment, She turned to fully face him. She gave a small nod of her head. She turned her head down looking at her feet, staring at them. Thinking back to how he explained it. Like flexing but not. Concentrating on trying to get her energy down to her feet. This. Easy said then down. She felt like she was just standing there staring at her feet like an idiot but she was gonna follow his instructions. He showered her how he learned to do his.

She stood there for a few minutes focusing now what he had told her to do. Biting down on her lower lip, concentrating. After a few moments, she felt something. Like her lightening was traveling around her feet. But the lightening was still traveling around her body like an excited little child. She cocked her head to the side. Through the coldness of her feet, they suddenly felt slightly warmer. Was this what he was talking about?

Deciding to take a step forwards like he mentioned. He said it will help her. But she wasn't expecting to accelerate farther than the single step. One moment, she was next to him and then next she was six feet away from him. Not used to such a speed, that she stumbled and fell. Landing face first into the snow with a yelp. Landing in a large puff of snow that bursted up once she had made contact with it. She paused there, gaining her barrings before she stood up.

She looked down at her arm, as a large flash of lightening flickered a crossed her arm. Watching the large bolt of lightening trailed down her arm. Curling around her pawed hand , caressing her fingers before shooting up her arm and disappeared from her line of sight as it went down her back. She lifted her head to look at Rafael as she turned towards him, a grin present of her features. She was excited, bouncing on her paws.

"Was that it? Did i do it? Well without falling on my face, did it get it?" She asked, her voice portraying her excitement as she looked down at her feet. Just in time to see the lightening shoot down her calf and down to the bottom of her foot. Then it shot of to a different part of her body. It was so much larger than when she felt noticed the lightening when he told her she had awakened her power. "Why is the lightening so much larger than before?" She asked she lifted her head to look at him.

Rafael knew that his explanation on how to execute the technique that he had been told was named Shunpo wasn't all that good. In fact he wasn't sure Zadora or Lolth would be able to learn it based on how he had just described doing it. All he could hope though was that after some training not only Zadora, but Lolth would be able to pull it off too. He knew that speed alone wouldn't be enough to defeat all enemies, but it would be helpful for them all especially Zadora who was the fastest out of them all by far.

As she concentrated on her lower paws Rafael watched making sure that she kept focused even though it was a tad bit boring to do nothing himself. That was when an idea entered his mind though. He was teaching Zadora how to accelerate her movements with her feet so that she could travel faster. What if that same idea could work for an attack? Could he learn or rather adapt what he already knew about Shunpo and use it to make his melee attacks faster? If he could then he was sure that even against enemies as strong as the massive insects he would still have a chance of victory.

The major problem with that though was that Rafael didn't have a clue about how to adapt what he knew. He knew when using Shunpo that he had to concentrate his energy into the bottom of his paws and then step forward. If he could do it with his arms or legs then where would he concentrate his energy in order for it to work? Such a basic problem that Rafael continued to try and solve for the several minutes that Zadora kept concentrating. Both of them stayed quiet concentrating on different yet connected problems until finally Zadora rushed passed him and Rafael's attention was grasped once again by Zadora's speed.

It never stopped astounding him how she could move at speeds far beyond what he himself was capable of achieving. He turned quickly to see Zadora laying on the snow as much of her was concealed by the snow that had been knocked up from her impact. As the snow drifted down over her she began to rise up and Rafael could see that she was confused yet happy at the same time. She asked him if that had been it despite the look on her face telling him that she already believed that she had just accomplished what she had set out to do.

He smiled once more. "That was indeed how to use the technique named Shunpo." Rafael said telling Zadora the name of the technique now that she had accomplished doing it for the first time. He knew that she was far from being able to use thew technique easily as even he didn't have quite control over it yet. He still needed to get into the right position and concentrate heavily for a moment in order to pull it off. She would need to train and think over the technique like he had been doing for awhile now before either of them picked up enough to be able to do it easily.

He noticed it shortly before she did yet still that was only a moment or two before she actually brought it up as a question more towards them both than just towards him. The lighting that was constantly coursing over her fur was much thicker and more visible than it had been previously. Not just that though, but Rafael couldn't actually see Zadora's eyes. All he could see was the white lightning coming off her eyes and covering them as well. All he could see was the lightning which kept wiggling and looked as thick as his finger now. "I think it means that the build up is much stronger than it had been." He was only guessing, but he didn't think it could mean anything else. Zadora although they had only just found her ability was blessed with one truly scary.

She looked between the two of them. She was shocked in the least with the spacing between the two of them. She perked a brow as she looked at him. Her head cocked to the side then she nodded her head to his words as he told her what she had just did. “Shunpo..” She spoke as she looked down to her feet. Her voice still portraying her excitement as she lifted her head to look back at him once more. This technique made her ability to be much more shonger? She wasn't sure on that thought.

She watched him as he stared at her. He could see the lightning but he didn't seem to look at the lightening on her body but her eyes. ‘Ohh. He did say that it looks like lightning wiggling off my eyes’ She thought as she looked to the side. The thought nearly had her chuckling at the way he had worded it. But She had just thought of his words. . She pushed aside her thought to keep looking at him. If only she could see what he was seeing. She let out a small huff before she nodded her head to his words.

Well it would explain the feeling of being full. The build up was large, larger than she thought. Like she couldn’t take anymore. “I think this might be the maximum. But I'm not sure. I feel really full." She explained as she looked back up to him, still confused though she was excited. Staring at him for a full minute before she looked to their cave. “I think I will go and warm up now. Its getting colder by the minute and my paws are freezing.” She explained as she moved back to the cave.

The look on Zadora's face said that she was alighted by the new discovery of a technique that could help her go even faster than what she was already more than capable of doing. He had to admit the prospect of fighting against her when at any moment she could increase her speed to suddenly be somewhere else or evade any of his attacks was one that made him question if he would actually be needed in the future. However, it also reminded him that Shinigami could do the same. That meant that his training was far from complete and compared to what he believed as his true potential in this new life he was still nothing.

He smiled at Zadora happy that they had had this even if the ground was covered in snow. It was a good experience that they had both shared together. She believed that what he was seeing right now with her lightning ability was the upper limit. At this point Rafael wouldn't be surprised if she was actually wrong, but if was her ability which meant that after some time she'd be able to figure it out hopefully just as he was trying to accomplish with his own ability. She wanted to turn in for the time being now and rest. Rafael thought for a moment wondering if he should tell her to stay out and continue training.

It only took him a moment to decide to let Zadora go rest though not wishing to push her further than needed without knowing the drawbacks if there were any to her ability. "Alright I'll see you later than Zadora." Rafael told her with a smile as he turned to look at the ice stream that ran through the pack area from the waterfall. Walking over to it Rafael stood on the ice only to begin practicing his movements slowly. If he could learn to strike while keeping his balance on ice he was sure that when it came to actual combat he'd be better prepared. So the first real training session between the large feline Beasts concluded.
