Since this Type was certainly popular in the Mega Thread I decided to bring it over for official review.

Type: Brave Version 2

Description: These are the brave heroes that venture out into the front lines of battle. While they're very skilled and quite strong, they aren't the brightest. Just look at some of the protagonists we've seen.

Advantage:

Rank 1: Select one Spiritual Stat to increase by 50% (100 would be 150). Increase the other Spiritual Stat by 25% (100 would be 125).

Rank 2: Select one Spiritual Stat to double (100 would be 200). Increase the other Spiritual Stat by 50% (100 would be 150).

Rank 3: Select one Spiritual Stat to increase by 150% (100 would be 250). Increase the other Spiritual Stat by 75% (100 would be 175).

Rank 4: Select one Spiritual Stat to increase by 2.5 (100 would be 300). Double the other Spiritual Stat (100 would be 200).


Disadvantage:

Rank 1-2: Reduce Physical Stats by 50% (100 Strength and Speed would be 50)

Rank 3: Reduce Physical Stats by 75$ (100 Strength and Speed would be 25)

Rank 4: Reduce Physical Stats by 100% (100 Strength and Speed would be 0)

Race Restrictions: All races except Failures, Beast-Clan, Arrancar and Mod Souls

Initial Weapons: Can start with two, though this is optional. A Shinigami of this Type can develop two different Shikai with different abilities that merge together in Bankai, while a Bount can start with two Dolls instead of one and end with a total of four Dolls. No new Release technique slots are gained, so techniques are spread thinner among more weapons. Bonus weapon is limited to Shinigami and Bount.

Yeah, this is just straight up better than Spirited at every comparable rank except 1, where Spirited has less harsh cuts than this type. And not only does it have better stats, if you move it on over to a Shini or Bount, they get an additional weapon as well. And before you go saying that Bount and Shini get less SP, it's only a difference of 100 for the Shini, meaning that he can drop 50 each off of SpPr, RS, and ES, and still be better off. The Bount has to drop 100 off of each stat then, and still gets 4 dolls to summon at the same time. To make a long story short, either the strength penalty needs to increase to force more SP spending away from Spirituals, or the boosts need to go down. Both would be a great idea in my book.

I don't think it's fair to compare the types by assigning the same SP value to each stat, so let's compare these instead:

The differences are pretty obvious. Spirited retains high speed, but they lose out on ES and SpPr in exchange. SpPr isn't a problem for Quincy, but the lack of ES is pretty notable imo. That being said, I do agree with Mourge to a degree. I'd support a 2/3rds reduction in strength.

I feel the bonuses should also be reduced. This is just for quincy, but MY huge concern is arrancar, who were able to use spirited be ause the 0 HE limited their ability to take Segunda or hsr. But this does nothing to impede this. And with the several Rank 4 espada spots open, it would be REAL easy to have a Rank 4 segunda-capable arramcar right out of app. I feel the boosts at rank 3 ad 4 should be reduced, possibly a zero of HE, or just barring from arrancar.

What your stat changes accomplished is still less SpPr, less RS, and a 0 in ES for Spirited. If we go point neutral and just see how much SP is being removed/gained overall, Brave v2 takes away 250 SP for a gain of 900, while Spirited takes away 300 SP for a gain of 650. There's clearly a more powerful type at work here, and it's Brave v2.

First of all, going point neutral doesn't make sense. All stats are not equal. That's why I made a realistic stat build for each type to compare them. Secondly, I'm not disagreeing with you. I just gave a more fair comparison, since your stat build had Spirited's senses and instinct at 75 each, which isn't realistic for a rank 3 build.Regardless, Brave V2 has superior offensive boosts and doesn't hurt sensory stats, but that doesn't mean that Brave V2 is indisputably better than Spirited in every scenario. Spirited is still better for a more mobile spiritual fighter that might incorporate physical movement into their fighting style.

As for TV's point, I don't think locking HE at 0 is unreasonable.
