Training Against a New Menace (TT Lolth and Rafael)

[Zadora]

Zadora watched as Lolth blindly raced towards the bug beast to do what she could to get her revenge for the small spiders that had been killed. Seeing as her attacks did nothing to the exoskeleton of the beast. She felt concerned that the beast made no movement as she beat at its back until something happened. Her eyes widen as she watched as the bug extended its wings forcing the female from its back. Wiping her head to the side looking to the female to see if she was okay before watching the beast.

It seemed that Rafael had listened to her words about thinking before attacking. It was possible that its wings was a weakness. Well they were covered by its exoskeleton. Watching as he remained in his stance before moving around the bug to get behind it before striking. Seeing as he hit the base of the wing. Ears pinning backwards at the screech the bug had made as Rafael manage to break its wing.

She expected him to move in for another attack but didn't. Watching at the massive Panther was sent backwards into a tree. Listening to the slamming of his body against the tree. She knew he was hurting from the blow. But now she had to watch this beast, needed to figure something out to kill it. They were surrounded by trees. That should help them in some way right? Well thinking she looked between Rafael and the bug. It was easy to tell that she wanted to go and check on him.

She watched it approach her while folding its wings back under its exoskeleton. A growl rumbled in her throat before she turned to look in the direction of Lolth. "Lolth, do you think we can get this thing to fall on its back or chest?" She called out to the female spider. While waiting for the female to answer, she backed up looking back to the beast. She knew she was gonna need help and Lolth was closest to her.

"If we get it on its back or chest, one of us, get it into the tree and drop."She said as she faced the bug. Knowing momentum of their weight would surely help them injure it even more. Maybe get it to release its wings before getting it to fall on its back or chest. She wanted to check on Rafael but the bug surely wouldn't let her. She could feel her heart start to race, panic was setting in. The bug was stronger than them so that left for them to work together to defeat the bug. Rafael seemed to injured to fight at the moment and she was sure Lolth could help her with the plan.

[Lolth Orbweaver]

Lolth would continue to wail away at the back of the insectoid beast man, but it seemed that she was having very little effect on it, if any at all. She did not care though. She was full of anger that this thing had been going around killing her spiders for who knows how long without her intervention. Who knows how many of her little ones had been slain by its hands. How long was it on its rampage without being picked up at all by Lolth. She was angry at herself just as much, as she was angry at the man in front of her. Her fists would strike the exoskeleton of the cockroach unable to punch through. She only hesitated for a moment when she heard something from it.

He pulled her arms back as fast as she could blocking the opening of its wings with her arms. They hurt, but were still able to function. She felt herself flying back hitting a few small branches of the tree behind her before putting her arms out and stopping herself completely. She was now above and still behind it. Right where she would want to be. She calmed herself a little bit now. She knew that she couldn't take it head on, and now her own attacks were not enough to pierce through its exoskeleton. She would have to try a different strategy. She took a couple deep breaths to steady herself. She could hear its footsteps thundering away from her in the direction of Zadora.

She could also hear the panther attacking the insect again this time managing to injur it somehow. She had to cover her hears when the thing let out a screech of pain. The loud noise made her head hurt, but she managed to ignore it enough to keep of fighting. She could smell its foul blood. It was coming from its back, she was guessing from one of the wings. Then it clicked. The undersides of his wings were not protected by his exoskeleton. She was about to say something to Rafael, but he was struck by the insect man and sent flying into a tree similarly to her. Only he did not hit the branches farther up, but the sturdy base of the tree breaking numerous bones. Looks like he was out of the fight. 

"Lolth, do you think we can get this thing to fall on its back or chest?" Lolth turned her head in the direction of Zadora's voice. She would nod, not wanting to give her immediate position away. As long as she didn't draw attention to herself why she attacked, she could hit it, like she did with Rafael earlier, and get it to fall on its front. She would adjust her grip on the branches to stabilize and aim herself while she quietly put her feet against the trunk of the tree. She would make sure she was lined up using its footsteps, and its own heart beat, to tell where it is. She would push off hard like a jumping spider ambushing its prey.

She would land on top of the insect around the shoulders and upper back. The sudden force hitting it like that should have made it pitch over and start to fall. Lolth would try her best to help his decent wrapping her arms around its larger ones to hold them by its side. Her intention was to try and hold the thing in place long enough for Zadora to do whatever she was going to do. Lolth just hoped that the other female would be able to do it fast. She was not sure how long she could really hold him. It wasn't like she was also able to cause any kind of pain. "I have him, hurry!" She called using all her strength to keep the thing as still as possible making it use its wings to have to get up.

[Rafael]

As the giant bug of a Beast continued to walk forwards towards Zadora starring at her intently with it's small eyes ready to strike her down like it had already done to so many others. While that was happening Rafael attempted to move trying to get back on his feet despite the damage that his upper body had already suffered at the hands of this monster. He could feel pain above all other sensations at the moment as he tried to get back on his feet so that he could keep helping out the others and make sure that neither of them suffered like he was at the moment.

He couldn't see Lolth at the moment and didn't know her location as his eyes had been closed when she had been attacking the Roach and then had been sent flying backwards into a tree herself. What he saw though at the moemnt was this giant monster that he had seen blown apart by the lizard was now getting closer and closer to Zadora. She was the first friend he had ever really made and even more than that she always brought this sense of light to his darkness. This is what kept him motivated to stand back up and watch as Lolth managed to get back on the bug and push it forwards.

She was successful the face of the Beast smashed into the forest floor while it's heavy body caused a massive thud and Lolth screamed hoping that Zadora would now take the chance to help them kill this monster. Rafael continued to move towards the battle area trying his best so that he could help them. At the moment though it seemed that this battle for survival was almost completely up to Lolth and Zadora. Thankfully they both had a brief moment to do as much as possible before this Beast would break free from Lolth.

[Zadora]

Zadora looked to the direction of the Lolth watching her nod her head to her question. Feeling her back hit a tree as she backed up. She turned her head to look to the advancing bug. The fur on her body began to bristle. Her tail hitting the tree creating a thumping noise do the irritation and anger of that the bug had done to her friend. She turned her head to look at Rafael, suppressing the urge to go to him as she looked back to the bug.

Out of nowhere, she watched as Lolth launched out from a tree and land on top of the bug. With the female working on getting the bug down to the ground, She moved to climb up the tree. Her claws extended to help her move up the tree with a better grip. Working fast to climb up the massive tree. Knowing she had to be quick well Lolth tried to get the bug onto its stomach or back.

She turned her head every now and then as she climbed, hearing the massive thump along with the bark under her paws crack and fall from the tree under her grip. She watched as Lolth hold the time down to the ground waiting. Getting a little forth up the tree. Once she decided she was high enough, she looked down looking at the position that Lolth was in. Getting up to near thirty feet up in the tree, she couldn’t really see Lolth on the bug.

Pushing herself off the tree and let gravity take over. Moving herself in the air so she was land on her feet, more towards the ball of her heels. Falling faster than she had thought. She could feet her stomach curl making her nauseous. She didn’t like the feeling, she has had to push it aside. As she grew closer to the ground, she could see the bugs back and Lolth more clearly.

Knowing Lolth wasn’t nearing the wing area of the bug, she felt slightly at ease. She closed her eyes as she felt her heels come in contact with the bugs hard back. The impacted made her knees buckled from under herself, forcing her to also land on her knees. Feeling her knees roughly hitting the shoulders on the bug with gritted teeth. The impacted had her feet hurting. Her toes curling to try and deal with the pain that had shot up through her feet.

Hoping she did enough damage to the bug, she quickly climbed off it to get away from it as quickly as possible. Her body felt odd after, her fall that she stumbled for a moment before regaining her footing. Her feet hurt but she had to stay on her feet. Shifting on them to keep minimum pressure on her heels. Each time, she knew that she was standing on her feet for to long make her wince.

[Rafael]

While Zadora and Lolth had only just met one another and it was easy to see that while Lolth was very protective of the little spiders Zadora was afraid or simply grossed out by spiders in general. That much about the both of them had been discovered within the first few moments of interaction between the two. Rafael though as he continued to struggle forwards in order to help out the two other Beasts against this threat that he knew was something truly evil and needed to be killed in order to be stopped so that they could all survive. He was actually surprised yet happy to see the both of them working together against this Beast.

He hadn't been teaching Zadora how to fight against anyone else or even defend herself for very long as the two of them had only started to travel together a few days ago. It was the main reason why he hadn't expected Zadora to be a major help in this battle and why he had shouted for her and Lolth to run int he first place. He knew next to nothing about Lolth and how well she could fight so that really had only left him and he knew that by himself he was no match for this beast and that much had been proven once again.

He had no choice, but to watch as Zadora climbed up a tree while Lolth restrained the Beast the best that she could and then Zadora dropped down from the tree and would kick the back of the Beast with all of her strength combined with the speed of her fall, her body weight and the momentum of the fall. While it still hadn't been enough to break through the exoskeleton of this Beast it had been successful that much was for sure and Rafael might be the only one out of all three to actually see how. When Zadora had landed on the back of the Beast it hadn't made much of a sound, but it's mouth had opened and out of it had spewed a rather large amount of green liquid.

Rafael knew from his last encounter that the green liquid was actually the blood of this Beast which meant that internally it had just suffered a rather large amount of damage. It didn't seem to matter though as the beast quickly got back up onto it's feet and starred at Zadora now. For the first time Rafael could visibly see emotion on the face of this Beast. It was angry rage engulfing it's face. It was going to kill Zadora. She was his friend the first friend he had ever really had. Someone that was beautiful and actually didn't treat him like garbage. He felt a surge of emotions and what followed was something he had never experienced before. His grey eyes turned a bright dark purple and his bones became much more dense. The wounds of his body began to heal without his knowledge and he would vanish after a moment.

Rafael would appear a moment later in mid air delivering a knee with his right leg to the side of this Beast's face pushing it away from Zadora and hopefully doing more damage to it's head. "LOLTH ATTACK!" Rafael screamed in general not knowing her location at the moment just allowing his emotion to guide his actions for the time being. He wasn't even really aware of what he changed and why at the moment moving was suddenly so easy. Rafael would continue to attack the Beast choosing to strike it's face and head more so than any other part of it's body in the hopes that it would eventually lead to the Beast suffering internal damage to sever to ignore.

[Lolth Orbweaver]

Lolth held onto the Roach beast clansman the best she could putting all her weight into positions that would make it harder for it to get up when it tried. She followed Zadora's movements with her head, not so much with her eyes, but with her ears. She could hear her climbing higher and higher into the trees. Then she heard her falling. With a thud the beast woman hit the large thing in the shoulder. Just by feeling or hearing it sounded like it didn't do much good, but them something covered one of her hand. It felt gross. It made her shudder in revolution, but she still kept her grip on him. She wondered what it was, but didn't have time to think on it. The best was rising again.

She clung onto the beast's back feeling every motion of his muscles, as he advanced on Zadora. Lolth's mind was racing. There was not much she could do from this position. She was focusing so much on the beast man and her own predicament, that she didn't notice Rafael approach and slam his knee into the head of their enemy. He shouted for her to attack, as he would continue attacking the beast himself. Easier said than done. Nothing she did seemed to do anything. She would barley be able to get its attention. Then she had an idea. She would climb up its body wrapping her legs tightly around the massive chest she clung to. With one set of arms, she would claw at the eyes of the Roach, and with the second pair of hands, she would wrap one around its neck putting her forearm against its trichinae and the other one clinging onto its nose to restrict its air intake. 

[Rafael]

The insect Beast that they had all been fighting had taken more damage than any of them had realized as blood came up from it's mouth and it's body movements were constantly being restricted by a Lolth who it couldn't attack unless it gave her all of it's attention. The blow to the side of it's face hadn't done much besides further the internal damage that it had already suffered. It was more of a distraction than anything else. As he continued to strike the body of the insect Rafael began to realize that he wasn't doing anything externally to the foe, but it was still reacting as if it was being inflicted damage. Which mean that the internal damage it had suffered thanks to Zadora was being furthered right now.

As Lolth wrapped her legs around it and began to try and attack the eyes of their foe Rafael slammed his knee into the body and then pushed with all of his might on the legs of the Beast. In the following moment the insect would fall to the ground indenting it with it's weight. Each attack would continue for another few moments until the green liquid blood seeped over the entire face and the resistance of the insect Beast faded. After what seemed like stuck a dangerous battle the insect was finally dead and with it the three others could continue living for at least one more day.

Standing up and turning around to look over everything Rafael would see Zadora and then look over at Lolth. "You both ok?" he'd ask not even realizing that his eyes were no longer the normal grey, but now were a dark yet glowing bright purple. He hadn't ever used his power and in reality at the moment didn't even know he had activated it or that it was active. In fact he didn't even know what it was that he was doing. The only thing that Rafael could tell was that he wasn't feeling as bad anymore, but he was still in constant pain not knowing that it was because his body was actually healing itself at this very moment.

[Zadora]

As she retreating from the bug beast, She watched the thing spit out a large amount of green liquid. Her nose scrunched up with disguised as she took a step back. She turned her attention to Lolth who was still on the beast's back. She blinked in surprise after hoping bug wouldn't rise after her falling onto its back. Seeing the beast turn its attention towards her. Her feet glued in place do to her needle like pain that shot it way up from the pads of her feet to her knee.

She didn't even hear Rafael move from the tree he was leaning against. He just suddenly appeared mid-air near the beast delivering a knee to the roaches face well shouting to Lolth to attack. She watched from the sidelines unsure of what to do. She wanted to help but she couldn't seem to move. Watching as Lolth scaled up the beasts body before watching as she wrapped her legs around the torso of the roach well using on set of arms to claw at the eyes of the roach and the extra set of appendages would wrap around its throat and the other clinging to the beasts nose.

With Rafael's attacks and Lolth clawing at its eyes and suffocating the thing, seemed to be the end of the thing. With Rafael standing, she actually took note that something was different about him. Noticing that there weren't as many wounds on him. She cocked her head to the side blinking. Not even noticing that he had asked a question to the two of them. She only stared at him. Taking in ever difference that seem to show right now. She looked over him, watching as his wounds repair themselves. Finally looking him in the eyes, she had to do a double take. Never had she seem his eyes glowing a bright purple before, only used to seeing his gray eyes.

"Are you okay Rafael?" She asked overly concerned about her friend's sudden change. Forcing her feet to move as she approached the two of them. She looked to Lolth making sure she was alright as well but she seemed confused at Rafael's change. She could tell he was still in pain but his wounds where stitching themselves together where the main cause of her confusion as well as his eye color. Stopping near the two of them and looked towards Lolth to see if she had noticed Rafael's change well more of sensed his change.

[Lolth Orbweaver]

Lolth felt the disgusting liquid covering her hands, as she clawed out the eyes of the large beastman. He held down her revulsion to continue clawing out its eyes, and suffocating it at the same time. She was sure that Rafael was doing most of the damage between the two of them. it was hard for her to keep track of everything that was going on. All she could do was focus on the thing she was clinging to. She was not sure how long she was holding onto him. All she knew that her legs and arms were starting to burn with exertion. Her muscles were not used to prolonged fighting like this. She would fight an occasional skirmish, but the fights were normally quick.

Finally the thing fell dead motionless. As it fell, the grip of legs gave out and she fell off of it once it hit the ground. She grunted slightly upon hitting the ground. She made her way to her feet, pushing on the ground with all four arms arms. She took several deep breaths to steady herself. She looked over to Rafael finally noticing that something was odd about him. She couldn't see any of his physical changes, but she could still fell that something was different about him. It was more like a feeling in her gut. She listened to Zadora ask if he was ok, and they were still waiting on a reply about that. Lolth was sure that he was. He smiled slightly turning from the two of them. 

"I thank you both for helping me avenge my little ones, but I have many others that I need to return to." She started to walk back to the cave that was her home. She was sure that the other little ones that she cares for were starting to worry about her. She was thankful for the two of them. They helped her do what she was sure that she would never have been able to do on her own. Her muscled ached as they were forced to move, taking her step for step closer to her little ones. She would stop to talk further if either of them were to call for her, but her mind and body were yearning to go home. She would need to sleep the exhaustion off, then maybe hunt something. 

[Rafael]

Standing there looking all around him as he made sure one last time that this Beast they had been fighting to survive against was finally dead. Unlike either of the others Rafael had fought against a Beast identical to this one a few weeks ago and it had managed to nearly kill him then as well. He had realized part way through this battle that there was no way that Beast had survived and that the one they had all been fighting had to be something like a sibling. That brought up a potential problem though. If this had been a sibling then was it after Rafael for aiding in the death of the first.

If that was the case then now none of them were safe. They had just barely survived a battle against this one. There was always the chance there were more that could come after them now more so than ever. If not then there were still other entities that Rafael knew wouldn't think twice about killing any of them for simply being different. He had been lost in thought over everything when his attention was grasped by the voice of the tiger beside him. Zadora was starring up into his eyes something that Rafael wasn't expecting and actually caught him off guard for a moment. She questioned if he was alright yet the large panther wasn't sure why.

He was in a grave deal of pain and the amount of damage that the insect Beast inflicted upon him should have spoken for itself whether or not he was actually alright. He was going to need a massive amount of rest and food in order to heal properly. Ready to inform Zadora of all this Rafael felt a surge of pain throughout his body that caused him to lean forwards. Grunting slightly from the pain the large panther Beast felt the skin on his face being torn off. He brought his hand to his face yet felt his fur and the wetness of his blood.

Looking at his paw afterwards he saw the purple liquid and couldn't believe what he was seeing. This had been why Zadora had just asked him if he was alright hadn't it. What was going on and why was he in pain? His now purple glowing eyes shined in the light as realization dawned on him. He had seen a Beast with a strange type of ability in the past. That Beast had possessed some sort of ability that allowed him to blow up the first insect Beast. So perhaps this purple blood was Rafael's ability. If it was though he had to learn how to make it happen at will and find out just what the hell it actually was that he was doing right now. "Yeah I'm alright Zadora. I think I'll be good in a few days."

Before he knew it Lolth was thanking them for helping her and like that she was already on her way back to her cave Rafael assumed. "Lolth. I don't think it's safe to stay here anymore." Rafael still wasn't sure about everything and although he had just met Lolth a few minutes ago the three of them had just fought together to survive. A bond between the three at least in his eyes was already formed. "That's not the first one of them that's attacked me. I think it'd be best if you come with Zadora and me. Besides while you protect your little ones who is going to protect you?" Rafael would smile towards her hoping that she'd realize he was teasing her.

[Zadora]

Zadora took note that Lolth seem to notice that something was wrong with Rafael. She looked at him watching him touch his face and exam his paw. She could see that his blood wasn't red like it should be but a purple. Like her own shock, Rafael seemed to be shocked as well. Her ears pinned back in worry as she wait for his reply. She just looked at the purple blood that was seeping out of his wounds on his face. What was going on with him that had turned his blood purple?

She blinked hearing Lolth's words bringing her from her thought about her friend. She turned to look at the female watching her start to walk away and Rafael's words of him being fine. She wanted to believe that but still felt that something was wrong. She looked between the two of them as Rafael spoke towards her. She twitched as he explained that they might be endanger as he stated that the bug wasn't his first.

Listening to him speak and invite her into their little group. If there was more of that damn bug might as well have all the help they can get to defeat it when the next one shows up. "I agree with Rafael. That bug was strong and there might be stronger ones out there. If you want to protect them spi.. your little ones, you can come with us.We can help."" She said having to correct herself at the end not wanting to offend the female.

[Lolth Orbweaver]

Lolth stopped in her tracks when Rafael spoke up.  "Lolth. I don't think it's safe to stay here anymore." He would tell her how that this was not the first time that he had fought one of these roaches. He also said something about who would protect her if she was busy protecting her little ones. She could hear the teasing tone in his voice. She smiled without turning around. Then she heard Zadora speak up next. "I agree with Rafael. That bug was strong and there might be stronger ones out there. If you want to protect them spi.. your little ones, you can come with us.We can help." Lolth could hear her faltering didn't quite understand why, but turned to face them.

She smiled fondly at them. Though she didn't really get along well with other beings, and preferred her isolation with her little ones, they had proven to be of fine enough company. Plus, they were right. That insect man was too much for her to take on by herself. If more were to come after her, she would not be able to fight it off on her own, and protect all the little ones from it. She gave them a slight bow. "I thank you both for your concern. I think I might take you up on your offer. Three fighters are better than one." She was about to turn back around but stopped for a second. "Follow me to my cave, we will pick up the little ones there. Be sure not to panic and step on any of them. Otherwise, I would have to kill you." It was her turn to tease back, though there was a hint of seriousness to her voice.

She would walk back to her cave leading them there confidently. She would stop at the entrance to the large cave taking in a deep breath. In just the short time, she missed the scent of the cave and all her little ones. She told the two others to wait outside. She didn't know if they would be able to see in the dark, and wanted to take as few risks as possible. She would confidently walk into the darkness without faltering a single step. She would disappear in the blackness leaving only silence remaining. This would give them time to talk among themselves before She would return. She walked deep in the cave gathering all her little ones on the way. She would also take great care in removing the egg sacks from the walls and giving them to their respective parent. 

Lolth would return resembling Moses leading the jews from Egypt, only if the jews were a lot smaller, with more limbs, and there were at least ten time the number of them. Some would scuttle about her feet, but her feet would only graze them affectionately as they carried the spider woman back into the light. She would stop a distance from the two to allow Zadora to adjust to the sudden increase in their party's numbers. Lolth would smile. "Well I will let you lead us to our new home. Be sure to find a place with enough space for all of us." Then it would be her turn to follow Rafael and Zadora. She still felt a little uneasy leaving the cave for good, but knew that it was for the good of the little ones. 

[Rafael]

Rafael watched carefully anticipating growing in him as Zadora voiced her own opinion and agreed with him that the three of them should all stay together so that they could help keep one another safe from the threats that they could face out int he wilderness. Rafael seemed to be the one that had faced off against the most dangerous things unless Lolth had more experience than he assumed based on how she had been fighting. It didn't really matter though what mattered was that he would do his best to keep the both of them safe even if they were going to join together to keep one another safe he couldn't help, but feel like it was his job to make sure the both of them stayed truly safe even if he had to put himself in harms way.

Thankfully in the next few moments Lolth agreed with them both and accepted their invitation to join them. It seemed that she wished to return to her cave so that she could gather up all of the little spiders that she saw as her children and bring them with her to wherever they could find as a type of home. As they approached the cave that Lolth had been living in thoughts were rushing throughout Rafael's mind. He would have so many things now that he would have to plan out and figure out. The first of which was to find a place big enough that they could all share yet keep separate for personal space while still being close enough to defend not only themselves, but each other.

Rafael was still deep in thought when Lolth returned from the cave with all of her spiders on her and around her. He could only smile happily as he turned and saw what could only be a sight of fear on Zadora's face at all of the small insects. For the first time in his existence Rafael had friends. "Alright then lets go and find ourselves somewhere we can keep safe." Rafael turned and began to make his way through the forest once again taking note not to walk in the direction that he and Zadora had originally come from. They had entered as two and now they were leaving as three. A new pack had been formed in Soul Society and one with a potential future that would only be revealed with time.
