Thread Title: Showcase Match: Sparks of Life Participants: Hebika Nara and Gaius Magnus World: Human World Death Setting: Non Death Enabled Rating: PG-13 Location: This battle takes place at midnight by a set of apartment complexes in Brooklyn, New York. Special Conditions: This is a showcase match, so the winner will receive a custom-made item for free. Circumstances: Gaius Magnus has taken a contract from Douma to attack and extract information from an Xcution compound in Brooklyn. Xcution has become aware that the location of this facility was leaked, so they sent Hebika Nara to back-up its computers before destroying them to ensure no Xcution secrets are stolen. As she is waiting for the back-up to complete, Gaius arrives and battle ensues.

[OOC: In order to not mess up other plot that includes Hebika and Gaius, it has been agreed that this thread is considered non-canon for both characters.]
Life of a mercenary was not an easy one. Gaius Magnus was very well aware of that. After all, he has led such a life. Times were hard, and work was tough and dangerous, but what could he do? With the goals he wanted to fulfill, the money was a necessity. And it didn't grow on trees. No, it was earned, through sweat and blood. Gaius' sweat, and other people's blood. And he liked to keep it that way. He was good in this business, because he always made it back. because he always succeeded. Truth to be told, only alive people in this business were successful people. Others failed at some point, and died. Gaius, truth to be told, cared little about dying. But, he cared about living. Because his life was still important for the cause. And he liked living. Living was good. Dying sucked, for real. However, this last contract was bat shit insane. One thing everyone knew in the Human World was to not piss Xcution off. Well, apparently, almost everyone. Douma did not, for instance, because he offered this insane contract to Gaius. "Lets steal their data, he said. It will be fun, he said. Fun my ass.", mumbled Gaius as he was headed to his destination via airground. Douma, in his insanity, wanted to steal some Xcution data. Gaius, in his need for cash to further his own cause of creating the safe haven for all Mod Souls, agreed. So, between mad and desperate, the plan was forged. Bust in, grab the drives, and get out. And hope that Satsujun doesn't figure it out. Because Gaius worked for him once, as external operator, he knew how Satsujun did things. Simply put, they had one shot at this. If they succeeded, they would only be hunted by him for eternity. If they failed, they were corpses.
As Gaius arrived at the building Douma pointed him to, he landed on the roof. He knew that he needed to go to apartment number 47, which, was on top floor. Apartment 1 was in basement, basically, apartments numbered 2 to 46 were on the floors, five apartments per, and on tenth, final floor, there was merely apartment 47. However, while this would appear to be ordinary apartment building, it was in fact a fraud. It was entirely empty, save for Xcution facilities and offices scattered through it. Data center, where Gaius was headed, was on top floor, apartment 47. Slowly, carefully, in order to not be caught, Gaius went to the door on the roof and opened them. As quietly as he could, he descended down the stairs. Stair by stair, his heart was racing, but Gaius was still calm. Because Douma made sure this place was empty - he hacked into Xcution systems and gave everyone in that facility a vacation. This was supposed to be a cake, because Douma made sure security systems were down on the roof, providing Gaius with a point of entry. So, he merely needed to go there and grab a copy of hard frives, or preferably, hard drives themselves. Slowly sneaking to the tenth floor, Gaius learned that there was only a short corridor, and a door with number 47 on the end of it. Slowly, he sneaked towards it, and opened it as quietly as he could.
Damn! There was some sight. Room was big, twenty meters by twenty meters, and it was mostly empty. It had no windows, but it had light coming from artificial sources, above. While the room was actually clear and empty, on the far end, opposite of Gaius, was something that looked like a black shipping container, with many cables running to and from it. It was, no doubt, the mainframe, Gaius' target. However, what Gaius also saw was a figure, turned to the mainframe, meddling with it. Shit, we are discovered! I better grab that data and get out of there! However, he didn't panic. He knew exactly what was going down. That person was messing up the data, but knowing Xcution, that person also had the backups. And Gaius would simply take those off of them. "Hey you! Stop what you are doing, and hand over the backups. If you do, I might let you live." However, that was a lie. Gaius didn't like killing, but he intended to leave no witnesses - whomever would be that person, Gaius was going to turn it into a pile of ash...

Hebika honestly didn't see what the big deal was. Standing infront of that bit, loud machine, she couldn't help but stare at it in an unamused stupor of boredom and lack of enthusiasm. Xcution was a very well-integrated network after all. Why they would bother EVER putting something on server was just stupid. She never liked the idea of making any sort of record of the things they did. Was there even a point? She had REPEATEDLY offered to simply make something to do the job of those stupid computers. It honestly wouldn't be very hard, she was sure she could cook something up. but no, they were stuck in the 21st century or some stupid shit. and she absolutely couldn't STAND it. With a sigh she leaned to the side, watching that little loading bar progress.

Wait what?! She perked, her eyes ging wide as suddenly the stupid thing got an ERROR while copying.
Corrupted File, please start again.
"YOU WORTHLESS PIECE OF SHIT COMPUTER!" She woman shouted, suddenly furious when suddenly she paused, her head tilting as she looked over her shoulder to see some Ned Flandre looking motherfucker poking his head into her goddamn workspace. In a brief little moment she deduced that he was not hard on the eyes. And therefore was probably a traitor and a scoundrel. Goddammit Carl Wait what? Something something something about....backups. She paused, tilting her head and then letting her eyes very briefly shift to the side towards those backup disks. Still on the table. With another drive in the actual machine. Ah.... she had been trying to put a different kind of drive in and copy the info.... prooooobably why the backup proccess hadn't worked. She rolled her eyes and simply eyed the young man.
And then she smirked, a slow, snake-like smile that spread from ear to ear. And a loud SHUDDER rocking the building as she smiled at him. He really WAS kinda cute now that she thought about it. Sneaking around, looking for... what? Some ones and zeroes? Information? and what would that give him? What a useless being. Unknowing that he wasn't a human and he was actually a mod soul. He just looked like another fucking human to her. And that was incredibly unfortunate for him. Because right now she was kinda pissed.
"Oh no, please. Don't hurt me." She cooed softly. As suddenly the entire building lurched, and suddenly the floor exploded upward in a sudden erupting barrage of bits and pieces of building. Hebika casually hopping onto the console of the bigass computer she was supposed to be protecting, whistling gayly to herself as suddenly the entire building was tilting, falling over. And why? Why because of Spoofy. Honestly she was not in any mood to deal with this. So she had simply shredded floors 2-10 and compressed them into Spoofy. The 30ft tall massive spikedragon whose roar suddenly shook what was left of the building as the entire structure was now falling over as Spoofy promptly proceeded to tear it apart on it's way up through the floor, seeking to rip a new anus into Gaius. Hundreds of tiny eyes covered it's body, which happened to be dripping white hot molten metal, because why NOT give Spoofy liquid metal for blood?
"Rahhhhhg!" -Spoofy
As for Hebika, the wall behind her exploded as she promptly used her ability on the server itself. The ineternal computery bits remaining intact as instead, she used that big, thick metal plating on the outside of the machine, converting all of that metal casing into a solid 7 foot wingspan eagle. (Because America) which since she was now sitting on the console sticking out of it's back, it could explode out of the side of the building like a bat out of hell, leaving Gais to his Moosey fate as it glided through the air, speeding away from that wreck of a building as Spoofy dunked it into the ground.
(Eagle MacFearsome doesn't get a cool picture. He's a metal eagle made from a server container)
Of course she was well aware that the maniac would probably not be dead just yet. But she had faith. Truth be told, she was considering just destroying the hard-drives right then and there. It's not like she needed them. But ah... what would be the sport in that? Not to mention she would rather NOT get a pay dock.... but then again... she smiled. Gently collecting those drives into her hands, and then dropping them. The backups that was. The empty backups. Now all that was left was Eagle MacFearsome, whom she was still riding on, who technically still had all that data on him. And if Gais killed him, then he'd destroy the data. Win win.
"Now I know you're probably asking yourself: Is this bitch crazy? And the answer maaaay surprise you!" She called down to the ruins of the building as she circled overhead, ignoring the fact that she was getting a little motion sick. He was what.... thirty stories down? Something like that. A few pumps of his wings ensured MacFearsome stayed at his current altitude, not to mention the fact that she was no longer going to have to fight in that eyesore of a building. "SO! It would be in your best interest, to fuck off!" She explained.

Gaius was not the supercomputer he once was "working" in. But, he had analytical capabilities well surpassing most of people. For in-battle and out-of-battle uses. His opponent, whomever it was, has been prepared. But, as Gaius felt the building shudder, he actually recognized what that meant. It was one of his indoor tactics, compromising the building's structural integrity. Given that he himself did that usually, Gaius also knew the best way to deal with it. Most foolproof way to not have a building collapses one your head, was, in fact, to get the hell out of it. And do it fast. And, as a matter of fact, Gaius was fast indeed. Boasting formidable 400 stat Speed, he could perhaps even sprint out in time. However, he chose not to, and instead, he opted for far quicker escape. For a master of Movement, it would be all to easy. A single Movement step, taken backwards. That would bring him back to the stairs, and from there, another step was enough to propel him up that set of stairs and straight in the night sky through the open roof door. That step, took him far up in the sky, over one hundred meters above the building. There, he was safe, at least temporarily. Hebika, dedicated to making her eagle at the moment, would almost certainly not notice the fact that he left the building, and that, in fact, she would fly out the building and her dragon would get to shredding it, but given that Gaius was above her, she wouldn't notice him. However, Gaius observed everything that took place. And he analyzed everything.
He saw the massive destruction of the building, and he also saw the dragon that did it. It was a huge monstrosity made of, as far as Gaius could tell, some sort of stone compound and had a molten hot insides, presumably out of hot metal or that same compound in liquid form. And seeing as his opponent flew out of what was left of the building on a bird, Gaius could reach a simple conclusion about his opponent. One race was in particular fighting by summoning living entities. Bounts. So, naturally, until his theory could be proven wrong, for which there was quite a good chance as well, Gaius could count on the fact that his opponent was Bount. However, that yielded only a short answer of Fuck! in his mind, as Bounts were at their strongest in the middle of the night. However, Gaius still had his vast arsenal of powers at his disposal, while his opponent revealed two out of three Dolls already. However, he yet had to learn what was their actual power, as he highly doubted that dragon was merely big and strong, Dolls always had unique abilities. However, until he would learn more, at least he would not be surprised by anything that came to him. So, Gaius activated first stage of Output - Push. With this, he extended his awareness by two inches. It seemed like it was not a lot, but it was more than enough, given that those two inches gave Gaius plenty of additional time to analyze threats, and exactly those two inches could mean the difference between dying and living.
And like that, Gaius observed as the dragon entirely destroyed what was left of the building, smashing it to bits, and creating a crater where it once stood, and he also saw and in fact listened to his opponent triumphantly circling and yelling at the rubble. "Now I know you're probably asking yourself: Is this bitch crazy? And the answer maaaay surprise you! SO! It would be in your best interest, to fuck off!" Now, that was important information for Gaius. His opponent was a woman. That was valuable information. Because, as Gaius learned, without any prejudice, was that in battle they were overall more extreme than men. It was not a set-in-stone-rule that every woman he encountered was governed by, rather sort of a tendency. Women, that Gaius has encountered in the past, in battle were always either extremely emotional, and aggressive, or extremely calm and cold, unmoved by whatever you did. With that in mind, he had another information to piece his strategy off of. However, he would not let that challenge go to waste, being a good gentleman, he would respond. "Crazy or not, lady, I do not care. However, I just cannot 'fuck off' as you are telling me to. Many of my kin depend on what I do tonight. So, tell me, why wouldn't you hand over what I need? MY kind has no quarrel with you Bounts, and I would like to keep it that way." And as he spoke this, Gaius kept an eye on both his opponent circling below him on a bird, but also on a dragon that was there in the rubble. He would not be surprised by either.

Hebika was not all that surprised that the man had avoided destruction. Oh she'd had her hopes, but really her intention had been primarily just to make sure that she got the hell away from him and destroyed the building. And she felt it was well worth it to say the least! She was unfond of enclosed spaces after all, and as it were, she wanted a nice open area with LOTS for her to mess with. Such a shame that the man decided to hop up and into the air as opposed to actually going around the ground. Spoofy narrowed it's eyes and hissed up at the man, suddenly shouting. "Fuck you! This is our shit! Go get your own! Like seriously, she doesn't even get overtime for this crap, she's not even in th-" "SPOOFY Will you SHUT your trap?! Good lord I am getting tired of your shit!" She hissed at the entity, keeping it from spilling any MORE information she didn't want her enemy to hear. But at the very least, even as she was speaking, she had to give it to the entity. He had actually come up with a nice little tactic for her!
As the two of them argued, a silent construct was forming directly behind Gais. She prayed he didn't have any energy sensory. Unfortunate as it were, she had no ability to actually give her little lovelies any innate skills.... that she knew of... maybe designing them such? She'd have to look into it. Not only that but she hated the fact that she was just so.... limited. If she wanted an entity of any sort of quality, she had to invest far too many resources. Perhaps she should start experimenting with that. Try to see what sort of things she could sacrifice for that.
But that aside, as Gais would doubtlessly be taking in information that Spoofy's fat lardy mouth had been spouting, the air behind him had been condensing rapidly, and in just a second, two thin, almost completely transparent pincers rapidly sliced downward at both of the man's shoulders a the top and bottom as they pinched shut, intending to promptly sever the mans arms. The material they were made of was mainly compressed air formed into a translucent ice, a feat only managed by Hebika's sheer skill in crafting her little entities. It was a very.... specific one at that. The little thing's orders were to sever the man's arms and then dig those claws into his body, slowly freezing him as it latched on.
Hebika didn't want to use too much of her resources at once, so she had sacrificed a lot about the little thing in order to make it. It was like a sort of very thin shrimp, and it was small save for those enormous pincers. Because of its thinness and how almost transparent it was, it was incredibly hard to see, to make up for how... well, slow it was. She had also kept it skinny so that it wouldn't make any noise moving through the air.
OF course, if it did it's job well, there was one last surprise. In the center of it's chest was a little chamber with highly compressed liquid gas. If it managed to latch onto Gais, it would flex this little chamber, the seal would crack, and the compressed air would burst out, propelling a proboscis from it's chest and drive it into the man, this very long, slender thing ould hopefully pierce him through-and-through. The little IcePincher would probably not be too useful after the fact. If Gais moved there was little ability for it to go after him, and like hell would it survive a ride on Spoofy's back. Then again, Hebika had faith in the little guy.
For Narniaaaa!" That little voice called out in Hebika's head. She'd robbed the little thing of any ability to make noise, as she did not trust it not to try a battle cry. But still, the little voice almost brought a tear to her eye. Good fucking lord, dating Shizuka was making her feel all parental and shit... In ANY case, the little IcePincher would make it's move, aiming to silently shear both of the man's arm's off, keeping it's thin, but incredibly powerful, pincers around him, before hopefully latching on and using that proboscis.
Hebika was making a bit of a gamble at this point, but also a test. She didn't actually know if Gais's specialty lie in his strength or his spirit. If he was a strong man, then he would easily be able to resist that surprise pinch. It would probably slice a good way into his body, but after it got in there and he had time to react, he would probably be able to flex and break IcePincher's poor little pincers. If it was spirit that was his forte, then either cutback would acuse those pincers to burst, if his pressure was high, or he would lose his arms, if it was the strength of his reiatsu. As well, reiatsu strength didn't do much for the body in terms of defense. Not unless you saw a reiatsu attack coming, then it was insanely useful. But for physical attacks? Nay.
"Right, I'm... I'm sorry..." Came Spoofy's shout, lowering it's head sadly as Hebika rolled her eyes. EVEN as Gais was being attacked, she continued her conversation with her other entity. As if she knew absolutely nothing about what was going on with him. After all, so far as he'd be concerned, it was a third party attacking him. And with her mentap processing power, it was almost laughably easy to direct pincher and talk to Spoofy at the same time. "Look. ughhh.. I...I didn't MEAN it okay? I just don't want you talking needlessly in a fight! If you're not paying attention you could die." She chided the enormous dragon.
