[Shizuka Sanamizu ✮]

Shizuka found herself relaxing within the library at her university one morning in October. Exams were done for the moment, and she was unusually ahead on her assignments. She'd found time the night before to get some of her work done, leaving her with next to nothing to do the following day. The Fullbringer rested her tired head on her hands and glanced out the window to the left of the table she was sitting at, pausing her aggressive typing for the time-being. The people around her were blissfully unaware of who she truly was, unable to comprehend the complexities of the spiritual world around them. Shizuka calmly took a sip from her bottle of lemonade and continued typing.

She was waiting for someone. A dear person to her had been missing from her life for quite a while now, though that had a small tendency to happen from time to time. While Shizuka wanted to think nothing of it, she was still slightly concerned that it may happen again. After she got word that this woman was returning, the blonde's icy heart melted just a tad in response to the hope she felt and the joy she was going to experience as soon as she saw her person's face once again. After everything that had happened with Kento being murdered, Shizuka did everything she could to suppress her general emotions and feelings because it hurt to much to be heartbroken. She never wanted to go through that another time.

As the students and tutors and staff around her chatted, drowning out each other's words into nothing more than mumbles, the Fullbringer felt herself start to nod off a bit. The sweatshirt she brought with her was looking extremely tempting to use as a pillow, but her phone was on it and it seemed like a lot of work to reposition everything the way it needed to be for comfort. She sighed. Shizuka desperately wanted to go back to sleep, or maybe even eat food, but neither option was available to her at that moment. She was just going to have to wait. Being patient was one of her strongest qualities, thankfully, so it wasn't too bad. She would probably just watch shows or something.

Well, that was going to be her plan, but Shizuka couldn't stop thinking about why she was there. True, one part was because her roommate didn't have a car and they lived a bit further than walking distance. The other reason, though, and the most important one, was because Hebika was supposed to meet her. The girl was just so excited that she could hardly contain it, despite being amazingly tired. Hebika meant so much to her, and this was finally their chance to talk. Hopefully it wouldn't be too weird, and Shizuka figured that being at a library was good enough for an average chat. While she waited, though, Shizuka simply turned on her favorite shows and caught up on them.

It had been such a very long time since she'd gotten to see Shizuka. For a while now things had been simply a pain in her scaled ass at Xcution. Not only with the workload, but she was in corporate now. And she was one of the ONLY Corporate figures in the organization with any significant power and as things had been going along, she had been trusted with more and more information. She was beginning to handle paperworks and files and things that involved information of a whole new level of secrecy. She had learned more about the Seven Guns, about the many members of Xcution that were most active. She learned that PAVEL of all people had a Fiance! Or something akin to a fiance at least. A Significant other. One who Hebika had IMMEDIATELY decided to invite over to dinner. But the POINT was..... she was learning more and more about what Xcution was... BEcause unlike what she'd assumed, the job wasn't JUST paperwork. Her fight with Douma.... with that Quincy... the missions where she had been chosen as an ambassador (or one of several) for various missions? It was putting things into perspective.

And it had prompted..... thoughts. Ideas. And concerns. Which was why she had arrangedto meet Shizuka. Because.... she remembered. Even if she didn't want to... She remembered Suki. The girl that had been her owner when she had first gotten that snake body.... She remembered when it wasn't that the girl had stopped loving her... deep down... perhaps naively... she thought that the girl had still loved her that drunken night she had thrown hebika away.... But the girl's circumstances.....they just didn't allow Hebika to be in their life. And now here she was... At the mercy of another beautiful young woman.

When she spotted Shizuka waiting patiently, watching some sort of show, Hebika couldn't help but admire her from afar.... She was so.... beautiful. So gorgeous. But most of all... she didn't hate them. She never had to. She had never had to roll her eyes and suffer through anything Shizuka had said. The girl just wasn't like so many humans. Even in this crowded library, around Shizuka she couldn't help but wonder just how close the nearest janitorial closet was, and how much convincing it might take to lure shizuka into one so that they could have a proper reunion. But... no. This was a serious matter she had to discuss, and she had to ensure that when they spoke, neither of them was... distracted.

So, Hebika made her approach. She was wearing a cleanly cut, gorgeous little business dress. If she had been more busty, more leggy, she would have fit instantly with the stereotypical hot, slutty librarian. From that leggy business skirt up to thesquare-rimmed glasses perched on her nose. Of course she wasn't busty, nor leggy. So rather than her skirt barely able to strain from riding up her thighs, it remained a respectable distance up her legs, and instead of practically exploding from her top, she wore the upper portion of the business dress with sophistication. So when Hebika calmly walked over to Shizuka, and gently tapped on her shoulder, a look of sternness in her eyes, clearing her throat lightly and nodding to the side, pointing to one of the private offices. To anyone else, it would simply look like the Dark-haired librarian was quietly asking to have a serious conversation with the young woman. And that business-like expression inspired a few knowing, smug smiles from Shizuka's peers. To any onlooker, it simply looked like Shizuka was about to get a firm talking to. Overdue library book? Inappropriate behavior? A damaged book? Who knew?

But once Hebika calmly escorted shiuzuka to that office, lightly pacing the room, before eventually stopping at the window staring out to the looking eyes of the students, seeing their little brief, sneaky glances... and closing the blinds. Her ears faintly catching someone snickering the words 'She gon get it'. Implying that Shizuka's pretty little ass was in trouble. They didn't even know the half of it. She smiled to herself at the dirty little thought before gently, she turned around, and with true privacy in place, she immediately rushed over to shizuka, the sudden shift of her body as she used her race's stepping technique to throw herself into Shizuka's arms, and suddenly lips would find theirs, as Hebika could not resist kissing her partner before stepping back and taking a slow breath.

"Sorry for the getup. This just seemed like a good way to get some privacy. I think I make a very fetching Librarian if I do say so myself." She noted, and lightly tilted her hips to the side, showing Shizuka her profile for just a moment, cheekily showing off the little costume before she remembered why she was here, and cleared her throat. And while she was still smiling, Shizuka would recognize the look in Hebika's eyes. She had something...important to say.

"I know it's been a very long time. And first and foremost, I want to let you know that I'd like to change that. I miss you... seeing you, hanging out with you, relentlessly seeing what sort of high-pitched half-squeals I can elicit from you.." Those lips curled into something of a smirk. Fuck... she was trying to be serious but it was very hard. Then again, it was that sly, joking attitude that had, apparently, helped land Shizuka, so around the blonde, she didn't suppress it quite as much. "But... I've begun to understand a lot more about how your job works. The sorts of things you have to do. The sorts of measures that sometimes are necessary to get close to people." And that smile suddenly vanished. "Which is not a problem.... but it occurs to me... that... Humans... do not have the same.......philosophical stances... on relationships... as you may. And I realize.... that I don't exactly know what we are. And when I see certain...memos on my desk, about certain job opportunities involving a.... woman's personal touch. Obviously jobs that some of my superiors have come to understnad that with my peculiar... persuasiveness." she smiled a little ruefully, and let just the barest wave of that light aura wash over Shizuka. Making it clear what she was talking about.

"IT occurs to me that I don't know what sort of restrictions you want for us. And well... that's not much of an issue.... hell I could have talked to you about that over the phone... but... while my mind was in that general ballpark... I realized, and thought a lot about, just how..young you are." she lifted a hand, gently brushing those black bangs to the side of her face. "I've already told you before that I am old. And the fact of the matter is... my race is one that lives in danger. This JOB is one rife with danger. And as our friend Mistah Jay. (Her nickname for Zack around Shizuka when they were not in a secure location) had so plainly put it. Either of us... even though I'm hardly an assassin.." No doubt Shizuka would have heard at least a little about the Quincy that Hebika had been sent to... take care of... "But at some point.. we may end up on the business end of the other's gun. Or more likely... one of us just won't come back from a mission.... and I didn't think at all about losing you... but I'm worried about you losing me.." She reached out, and gently let her hand rest on the blonde woman's shoulder.

"You're so very very young. And while I may not know the details... from time to time... I can't help but feel like soemtimes I catch you staring off into space. Missing someone. And if something happened to me... I honestly don't know who you have left... I know you are close with Mistah Jay... but... He is no comforting type. And...." She couldn't help but feel an ache in her pill. Knowing that this would upset Shizuka....this would possibly upset her princess...
"I want you to understand... that if you feel.. the urge to see anyone. Aside from myself. That this is not a problem. Admittedly I wouldn't have ever cared... I've hardly ever considered you some.... treasure that I own Shizuka... I understand that human males in particular feel very possessive. But... the time you spend with me... I consider it a generous donation of yourself, if nothing else. But I have no plans on caging you. This is a prime time in your life... and well... if that involves perhaps also dividing your affections with me, to also include someone who isn't.... liable to die any day." She faltered... She KNEW she ws so very bad at this. And she was slowly starting to realize... she had started crying.

she blinked, staring a little at the drops of salt drippadge that had run down her sleeve... Why was she so bad at this... she knew she sounded like she was in a fucking business meeting. This sounded so....impersonal......so....heartless. She could act beautifully. She could pretend around strangers like nobody's business. But being honest with her feelings... especially when it came to Shizuka... it came out like... a mess. And she suddenly had to hold back a sob as she slowly pressed her lips firmly together, composing herself as she closed her eyes. Shit she hoped what she was saying sounded coherent... "Shizuka... I just... I don't want to be what destroys you. I feel like... we have eachother in such a tight hold... but if your grip on me should slip... there is nothing for you to land on... And I just... I worry about you having nothing else to hold onto." She continued, going for a metaphor, and then looking to Shizuka, and hoping to see some mote of understanding with the young lady.

The wait didn't take very long. Shizuka's ears twitched when she heard footsteps approaching her, immediately knowing who they were. She chose to act ignorant, perhaps fooling Hebika into thinking she wasn't paying attention. Hebika was smart, though, so her idea would probably not work. Still, it didn't stop the Fullbringer from trying. As soon as she felt the tap on her shoulder and Hebika clearing her throat, she knew something was serious. What kind of serious, though? Well, that would be hard to answer. But Shizuka was curious, so she packed up her things as quickly as she could and followed Hebika to the office she picked out for their meeting. Being in a private space was super nice, and maybe even a little... scandalous.

The windows were blocked by shades and the two of them were completely alone. Shizuka used a bit of her Soul Command to lock the door behind her, making sure no one could walk in on them. She'd keep a small amount of concentration on it so that if anyone tried unlocking the door, they wouldn't be able to. This was just a precaution since she really didn't want anyone walking in the room in the middle of them chatting. Or doing something else. You never know. Regardless, these thoughts were just passing through her head the minute Hebika surprised the blonde with a kiss. Shizuka hardly noticed Hebika's movement since she used a step technique, but it was welcome. The woman gave her beautiful, snake-like partner a tight hug after returning the kiss, and allowed her to take a step back.

"Sorry for the getup. This just seemed like a good way to get some privacy. I think I make a very fetching Librarian if I do say so myself."

"Haha, yeah... You look really hot." Shizuka paused for a moment, appreciating Hebika's attire, and then immediately realized how she sounded and squeezed her eyes shut in embarrassment. "Wait, I mean! Ugh. I'm sorry, it's been a while since I've seen you."

She would have to get herself together quickly, though, because Shizuka realized just how serious Hebika was trying to be. The Fullbringer's ears pressed themselves against her head the way they did when she felt any negative emotion, and in this case, that emotion was sadness. She was worried. Hebika was normally a very humorous person, even when she was trying to be serious. She always got her point across, but she was usually much more relaxed. This must be extremely important if she was acting this way towards Shizuka. A sigh came from the blonde's mouth, aware that she needed to pay attention.

As she listened to the Mod Soul speak, she understood all of the worries and concerns that were mentioned. She felt similar, to some degree, and wished for Hebika to feel as free as she wanted to be. As Shizuka was, she found it hard to have feelings or relationships with anyone else if she was already interested in someone, regardless of who they were. And, truth be told, that was Hebika. The blonde never wanted to find herself with anyone else unless that's just how it naturally happens down the line, but even that idea scares her. She loves Hebika. She didn't want to do anything that would sacrifice that.

Losing Hebika was not an option. Even though Shizuka understood where the woman was coming from, she would never let that happen. Hebika was precious to her and always would be, no matter what. But even through the speech, even through the emotions, Shizuka smiled at Hebika as genuinely as she could. She approached the poor, crying woman and gently touched her right hand to Hebika's left cheek, and brought her forehead close so that their heads were touching. Her eyes were closed, but she was smiling. She realized just how much she cared for Hebika, and gently cleaned the Mod Soul's tears up with her thumb. Shizuka separated herself for a moment so she could look at Hebika.

"Don't cry, darling. I'm here. I understand your worries, but I'm not going anywhere. And neither are you. The truth is, I love you. You're amazing and strong and determined, not to mention smart and beautiful. Yes, it's true. You're older. But I'm growing stronger so our lifespans will hardly matter in the long run. As for losing you... I refuse. Yes, our jobs ask strange tasks of us. They can be strange, but I don't want to be with anyone else. I also don't want to hold you back, of course, but... I'd be lying if I said I was okay with you seeing anyone aside from me. I don't really get jealous or possessive or anything, but it's different with you. So..."

Shizuka glanced down to the right and avoided Hebika's eyes. She was a little embarrassed from her honestly and how she admitted her feelings, but none of it was a lie. Shizuka wanted the two of them to be more official. She wanted Hebika to visit her at school and dress up as a teacher who needed to 'talk' to one of her students and fool around in a private office. Actually, Shizuka kind of wanted that right now. But she was trying to be serious and remain objective! So instead, she pulled Hebika into the tightest hug she could muster (without hurting her), and softly kissed her cheek. She didn't want to hurt Hebika at all with all of these feelings, but she also couldn't stand to be away from her anymore. She was ready to have this talk.

Hebika paused, her brows lifting a little when she heard Shizuka's .....little reply. She blushed and couldn't help but smirk softly as she eyed the woman infront of her. Honestly she had almost... forgotten. She had forgotten how very understanding Shizuka was. And as Shizuka spoke... as they assured her... as they let her know just how much they cared for her... Hebika slowly began to realize how much trouble she was in. The closer Shizuka came to her... the more she showed just how understanding they were, she realized how attatched she was to them. And it was... painful....in a strange.. pleasant way. Because she knew that this would end at some point. She'd heard rumors. Rumors about a lot of the various....incidents that took place around this world. She'd seen what had become of Zackary Jenson. When his wife had been taken from him.

And chances of them both meeting their end at the exact same time were nill. Chances were... one of them would fade away. And the other, though still living, would be destroyed. She closed her eyes, and as Shizuka leaned in and pressed her lips to the mod soul's cheek, Hebika's own arms suddenly tightened around the human. All at once she suddenly leaned in and kissed Shizuka. She held onto the human that she had so grown attatched to. And when she pulled back, those eyes stared into theirs with a slow, steady search. As if looking for something in those pretty blue eyes. And she noticed they were dilated.

She couldn't help but grin. she took a brief moment to run her fingers along Shizuka's shoulders, making note of the temperature, a light press of her fingers to her shoulders to feel their pulse. In the span of four seconds she suddenly realized that perhaps this outfit wasn't the best idea to have Shizuka' 100% focused. She hadn't even KNOWN that Shizuka had any sort of enjoyment for librarians. Though she certainly did now." I think.... weve cleared up a good number of things... And we both have things to consider." She noted, that smile slowly creeping wider across her features. Reaching up, Hebika gently undid the hairtie, that neatly folded knot suddenly dropping down into her usual wild bangs, as a toothy smirk found it's way across her features.

"I'm going to be informing my superiors that I won't be needing my barracks at HQ. And to forward all of my mail to your address." She noted softly, hern hand slipping off to the side before the sudden, sharp SWACK of a yardstick hitting the desk beside them was heard. "We've been together... for how long? And to be frank... we're together Shizuka. I think we may have accidentally skipped the part where one of asks. But well here we are. And I think I've been neglecting my obligations as your significant other. Namely in that we don't know that much about eachother. So... From now on I hope you don't mind my occasional... sporadic......interrogations." And then those eyes softened. And despite the.... insinuations behind her previous statement, that infgormed Shizuka that they definitely wouldn't be leaving that office too soon, despite the semi-conclusion of the original topic of conversation, that even with all she was putting out there right now... that she was glad they had talked about this. And most importantly, she was glad that shizuka was there for her.

"I think.... we've cleared up a good number of things... And we both have things to consider."

"Oh, of course." Shizuka started, snapping herself back to reality instead of staying in her own fantasy. "We just maybe need to talk about... um..."

Hebika smiled at Shizuka with her usual, adorable and yet oh-so cunning smirk. The Fullbringer melted. She was weak to that look. Hebika had this weird ability to just completely distract Shizuka without even doing anything. She unknowingly leaned towards the Mod Soul, somewhat subconsciously beckoning her to come closer with every movement. Shizuka tended to dress rather scantily, especially since her usual outfit consisted of something that showed off her toned abdomen. Her arms were close on the table she leaned against, forcing her breasts to show a bit more cleavage than usual. She occasionally did this on purpose, but usually she wasn't aware of it.

Hebika let her hair down, giving Shizuka something to admire as she spoke. "I'm going to be informing my superiors that I won't be needing my barracks at HQ. And to forward all of my mail to your address."

"My address? So that means..."

A yard stick hit the table. A feeling welled up in Shizuka that she was very familiar with. She looked at Hebika with a relatively lustful stare, knowing well enough that there was no way they'd be interrupted. It would be so easy, too. It had been so long since she'd seen Hebika, so not being able to touch her the way she wanted was like torture. Something about Hebika was just so ridiculously attractive, despite the fact that she had a female gigai and identified as female, as well. Honestly, it confused Shizuka, too. She never felt like this towards any other woman, so maybe it was because Mod Souls were generally genderless. They just kind of chose what fit their personalities most of the time, or so Shizuka thought.

"We've been together... for how long? And to be frank... we're together Shizuka. I think we may have accidentally skipped the part where one of asks. But well here we are. And I think I've been neglecting my obligations as your significant other. Namely in that we don't know that much about eachother. So... From now on I hope you don't mind my occasional... sporadic......interrogations."

"Is there anything you want to interrogate right now?" Shizuka asked, pushing herself even closer to Hebika. Her arms were around the Mod Soul's neck and her torso was pressed against the other rather tightly. "I can think of a few things I want to learn about you."

Okay, so Shizuka was a little bold. In her defense, she really liked how Hebika was dressed at the moment and it was satisfying a lot of fantasies the Fullbringer imagined throughout her lifetime. In truth, she had a thing for teacher-like individuals. It stemmed back in high school when she realized she had a terrible crush on her history teacher because his intelligence mixed with his looks were just irresistible. Since then, she found something just absolutely enthralling about scandalous situations or having relations with people where it was considered 'taboo.' Because of this, Shizuka gave Hebika a look that could only be described through the words "I want you now."

"You know, I did lock the door with my Soul Command. No one is going to come in here, and no one can hear us. What do you say?"

Hebika's smile curled all the more sinisterly as she noticed almost immediately the body language that shizuka was giving off. Honestly she could have been blind and still noticed the woman's heated gestures. And in a way Hebika really loved that about Shizuka. The woman was so deliciously transparent that she couldn't help but adore it. It was like a cat rubbing up against her leg. Only she was dating this particular cat, and had a very different manner of rewarding these sorts of subliminal begging gestures.

Stepping just a bit closer, Hebika leaned on the Desk, leaning over it and letting her cheek rest in her curled palm, that smile widening just a little as her other hand snuck it's way over to the woman's own, gently letting her nails slowly run up along the backs of Shizuka's fingers, and finally up over the back of their palm before curling to grasp the woman's hand firmly. In that business-like top of hers, as formal as it was, Hebika was showing off a fair bit of cleavage in her own right, and with a gentle canting of her head to the side, She looked both sympathetic, as well as offered a better view down her front.

"I'm quite aware that you did Shizuka. And honestly I almost was considering undoing the lock. Honestly this sort of thing wouldn't really be much fun without a little danger would it? But I suppose we can start with baby steps." She mused idly, her head leaning to the side as she gently tossed her hair a little, getting some of it out of her face before those lips peeled back in a serpentine manner, showing her teeth in that wide grin.

"Now the fist thing you're going to do is keep those lip pursed together. Because until I'm done, I'd much prefer if you kept as quiet as you could. This is an interrogation after all." She noted, leaning in until those wild, piercing yellow eyes were staring meaningfully into Shizuka's own, and Hebika's aura would wash over Shizuka like a literal wave. "Relax. And don't worry. By the time I'm done, nobody will still be in the building. Which means...." She paused, and slowly walked the tips of her nails up Shizuka's arm, before stopping to lightly tap against the girl's throat.
"I won't have to worry about ruining that dress."

[French Voice]: Two Hours Latere~

Hebika lazily reached up, a firm little yank of the blinds and she was able to look out of that office window out into the rest of the library, a casual little smile of hers lazing across her lips as she lightly tapped her nails along the glass. As she expected, nobody was still in the library, especially given that it had closed. With everything locked up there wasn't even any reason for the security guards to give things another look.

With an idle glance over her shoulder, she watched the yardstick slither it's way up her arm to lounge across her shoulders. Yes, she'd used her powers to bring it to life. And no, vile reader, it was not involved with the romping. Hebika had heard a mouse and sent the thing to go murder the little rodent. (She actually was very unfond of rodents despite being a snake) and she gave the thing a little pat on the head, her lips curling into a smirk as she noted the barest spatter of little red droplets on it's 'face'.
" Such a good girl." She cooed softly, in that nice deep voice she usually used with her entities, and sometimes Shizuka. I any case looking over her shoulder, she supposed at some point she should probably carry Shizuka out of there. but... for the time being, she watched pensively out the window, her hands tented infront of her face as she contemplated. Little thoughts drifting in and out of her head as those bright yellow eyes, so deeply contrasted with her black hair, would shift left and right, as if reading some invisible manuscript.

It was official now. they were together. In proper human tradition they had even baptized the relationship with a lapse of rowdy indulgence. but as it were, there were now things to consider. Things like what it was that Shizuka wanted with her life, as Hebika certainly didn't have anything like that to worry about. She was now accountable for Shizuka's happiness, even if frankly, she'd had that job before, it was now much more official. And honestly there was still much about human relationships she was woefully ignorant of.

Standing up, Hebika brushed herself off.

One thing at a time she supposed. For now, she had a girlfriend to carry home.
