Rise Up: Kimiko Shihoin vs Hotaru Kuchiki [NDE, PG-13]

Hotaru continued her walk, feeling her whip start to reform. Once he formed again, she welcomed Rivu~aiasan back to her. She immediately started her whip to let liquid fall of his body as well, making the puddle forming around her twice as big. So, the trail she was leaving was massive now, while she walked trying to find where Kimiko might be. Her bankai was interesting, but it seemed that this was more suited for the Omnitsukido then the police squad, but what did Hotaru really know about this woman? Not too much.

She knew that this fight was going to have to end sometime soon. She was just debating on what to do next. She knew that the wolves had to be hiding in this forest, right out of her eyesight. The liquid could help her as a good defense, depending on how the wolves worked. So far, it did kill them, but to what extend can that last? Her bankai is powerful, letting her pretty much make an army, but what made her wonder is how many wolves she could actually make. If the battle went on any farther, she was sure she would find out firsthand.

She figured that it was time to release her ultimate attack. She didn't need to hold back, especially since she was tiring of this fight. To have her enemy just hide the entire fight was not the way she preferred to fight. She would prefer to face her enemy on the battlefield face to face. She hated fighting like ninja, in the shadows waiting for the opportune moment. It made no sense to her. But, to each their own fighting styles. It was at this point that she just stopped and let her liquid pool while she was getting herself ready.

While she sent both of her whips away, one in the air and one into the ground. It was then that she noticed a wolf had jumped up to try to get her whip, which was already gone. The hilt of her sword was forming and she started to move it around, gathering the liquid to her. She then noticed, as that wolf landed, that it had more than one head. So, she can combine the wolves together. It was interesting and obviously she did it for a reason. Hotaru didn't know the reason, but she moved her arms as fast as she could, while the first wolf landed. So, by the time she saw the other wolves coming at her, the cyclone had already been made in the sky.

If Kimiko looked up, she could see a massive form of liquid in the sky, Hotaru's cyclone. Any liquid that was in the area also got absorbed, so the cyclone was bigger than she thought it would be. It looked like the sky was completely covered by her cyclone. She then quickly moved the hilt down, sending her gigantic cyclone towards the forest bankai of Kimiko. The cyclone was so large, Hotaru was sure that Kimiko had to get hit by it. While it moved down on the forest, it lit on fire, raining fire down from the sky in a bigger area than the original fire had done. Hotaru was sure that this could be the end.

If that wasn't enough, while she sent the cyclone down, she lit all of the liquid that was around her and the liquid that made a path behind her. She stood in the middle of the liquid puddle, getting a little hot from the flames, but none of them touching her. So she stood, looking around to see what would happen, holding her scaled hilt in her hands. She really hoped that this was the end, she didn't know what else she could really do to end the fight any quicker than this attack. Hopefully, this forest would bend and Kimiko would be defeated.

[Kimiko Shihoin]

Sitting atop of the trees Kimiko continued to concentrate on Hotaru's reiatsu from that position while Haunzu moved throughout her bankai at a pace that astonished her. She had been training with him more and more and as a result had continued to challenge her zanpakuto's strength with her own yet Kimiko in a lot of her training and mastery had only ever been able to stand against Haunzu at a maximum of five heads. While Kimiko wasn't the naïve little girl that she had been when she first achieved her zanpakuto she still was the weaker of the two. She knew it and so did Haunzu which was the source for her methods of combat preferring to grow stronger herself and not need to rely on her zanpakuto. All of this was going to be placed in a much more grand view now as Kimiko perceived the movement of Haunzu and felt a twinge of fear from her own spirit.

Hotaru's zanpakuto had reformed and Kimiko could sense that the liquid she was able to generate from her zanpakuto was now covering the ground at a much faster pace. The only problem for Hotaru was that now only a brief moment after her zanpakuto had reformed Haunzu was already upon her. "Finish her now Haunzu!" In the next moment Hotaru executed a massive technique and Kimiko could see through the eyes of Haunzu that her zanpakuto now held the appearance of two large dragon like whips. One of them tried to rushed into the ground yet would find that such an action was impossible for the ground was to dense to pierce while the other soared up into the sky. Kimiko could see the cyclone of flames with her own eyes from her position and knew that if she hadn't been on the other side of her bankai she more than likely would have been hit by it.

All of the Haunzu that had been so close to Hotaru now were little more than charred blackened corpses that had been dealt killing blows and sent back into the inner world from the bankai unable to be called back during this fight. Kimiko from her position though suddenly grinned widely "Finish her." Hotaru wouldn't have time to feel anything nor the sound from below. Her zanpakuto had proven ineffective in getting into the ground of Kimiko's bankai due to Kimiko's forest having durability superior to the offensive strength of Hotaru's whips. That had been the point at which this battle had been won for the Princess of the Shihoin family. Kimiko herself couldn't dig into her bankai and all of the fire while it still burned was doing nothing much than illuminating the area. Haunzu however held strength that far surpassed Kimiko's own making him the only individual at the moment capable of traveling through the ground.

It had been just as Hotaru's whip bounced off the ground and the other soared into the air that the Haunzu with ten heads the one which was causing freight from it's own master utilized Inshō-tekina asaruto diving forward and piercing into the ground of the bankai. Now at a speed that would be so swift that neither Hotaru nor Kimiko would even be able to perceive him Haunzu spun through the ground until just in front of Hotaru he burst forth hitting her chest and lifting her off the ground into the air. Biting her over and over again on her arms, legs and torso inflicting heavy wounds that would make combat next to impossible. Ripping chunks of flesh from places that seemed slender and soft. It only last a brief moment and then Hotaru would feel the impact of her back being slammed into one of the trees so hard that her ribs cracked and organs began to bleed at near critical degrees. The tree behind her cracked while a crater like imprint was left where she now would be hung.

Haunzu dropped back to the ground of the bankai and split himself apart into the ten separate bodies. The chances of Hotaru being able to continue were next to zero and if she decided to continue Haunzu would have to be even more careful to not kill her. So the best course of action would be to force her surrender if she remained conscious. Ripping himself apart as fast as he could by the time Kimiko arrived a few seconds later his numbers were five that's that of what had originally been present and the battle was all but concluded. "Good job Haunzu, but next time don't go so savage on her." She gazed around the area at the already decent sized army of wolves around her. "Our apologizes Queen Kimiko." It took a moment until Kimiko would gaze up at Hotaru. "Hotaru lets end this please. I don't care what was seen here or who is claimed victories. To much damage has been done and I have no wish to injury a friend passed the point I could withstand." Kimiko simply hoped that this was the end and that Hotaru would rather call it quits here and pick up this battle at a later time.

Technique Name: Inshō-tekina asaruto

Description: This technique is one favored by the wolf spirits of Kimiko's zanpakuto it possesses two different variations that have slightly differencing implications and effects. Though there are two variations both of them must begin with a leap forward in the chosen direction.

In the first variation of this technique the wolf spins sideways at a speed that causes anyone that speeds the technique to compare it with a black drill. This variation is useful for striking foes with furious bashing blows whenever contact is made with the wolf. It also has a slight piercing like function that allows the wolf to tunnel into the ground or through anything that is lower than the Strength stat of the wolf. This makes it useful in crushing defensive techniques of walls. (Mainly causes blunt force damage.)

The second variation of the technique is when a wolf spin forward at the same speed as the first variation. This one however causes the wolf to be compared to that of a buzz-saw and is useful in causing slash like wounds when contact is delivered. The opposite to the first variation this one has a cutting like function that leaves deep carvings on anything that is touched that is lower than the Strength of the wolf. This makes it very useful is cutting through weaponry and foes alike. (Mainly causes cutting damage.)

How to use: The technique must start by leaping forward if for any reason that is not possible this technique can't be used.

Drawback: Restraints such as kido are useful in eliminating the possibility of this technique being utilized. Cost 150 per use. It's possible to cancel this technique out by hitting the wolf in the process with a distance type attack.

[Hotaru Kuchiki-Masurao]

Hotaru was preparing her cyclone attack. She was curious as to why Kimiko hadn't shown herself. Maybe this other new Captain was afraid of her? She couldn't really speak to that herself, but it seemed like she was, hiding in her forest and not facing her for a one on one battle. She was readying her whips, preparing to move them into position to release them, continuously spewing out liquid from her armor, when something happened.

She thought she felt something move through the ground. She released her whips, the one that was sent into the air flew high in the sky. But, she felt the ground move more. She watched her other whip go towards the ground, tightening her grip on the hilts of her whips. Something was coming towards her underground. The something was moving fast and had to be rather large to send tremors in the ground.

It was then that she saw that her whip couldn't pierce the ground. Hotaru raised an eyebrow at that. She thought it was rather strange it couldn't do that. Now, she was holding the whip right in front of her. When the whip was being released, she had pointed it straight down from her location. So, when the liquid of her whip bounced, it would bounce right in front of her face. When the liquid bounced, the tremors got worse.

The ground was shaking enough to warrant that something had to be coming to the surface. It was like a dinosaur walking on the ground, the closer it would come to you, the more the ground would shake near you. Hotaru was getting this same sensation. The tremors weren't too bad, but now the ground near her was moving more than before. So, right when the tremors were at their worst, she Shunpo-ed.

No one in their right mind, feeling large tremors like that, would want to stay around to see what the hell would be coming towards them. So, since she had high instincts, she got the hell outta there. She had Shunpo-ed her maximum distance away from her previous area. She was surrounded my her liquid in the previous area and her liquid was bouncing up vertically in front of her face.

So, right when she took her step, she ignited all of her liquid on fire around her. So, when the ten headed wolf appeared, which Hotaru never saw in the first place, he would no longer see her. He had already emerged from the ground, since she didn't move until the tremors were their worst, which would be right before he would appear. So, he jumped towards nothing but her liquid fire.

Since the liquid bounced vertically in front of Hotaru's face and the wolf would be aiming for Hotaru, it would be jumping through vertical fiery liquid for a short period before landing in more fire.If its mouth was open, it was highly possible that the liquid would get in its mouth, burning him internally as well. It wasn't likely the wolf would be able to fight after that.

Hotaru stopped her Shunpo and flicked her wrist towards the direction she had come from, making the cyclone move in that direction. She took a breath as she watched her cyclone, at half strength, fly through the forest. She was surprised that it didn't do much damage, but this fight was getting boring. Her whips were still unusable, but she had wings now to help her defend herself. When the wings had completely formed on her back, which was immediately after sending the cores of her whips away, they immediately started to bleed out her liquid. She was now surrounded in a small area of her liquid that was quickly getting bigger.

She took a few steps out in the open, gripping her hilts tightly in her hands, looking around and on the defensive. She saw the stands, with Sozen and Kagami there, and knew that this fight was fruitless. It seemed that Kimiko couldn't take the high ground from Hotaru and that Kimiko would never show herself, sending in waves of wolves to fight her instead of herself.

She had never fought someone like this and would prefer to never fight like this again. She then raised her voice, so hopefully everyone, including Kimiko, could hear her. "Well, I think that this battle is over Kimiko-taichou. You have no hopes to catch me and you're too much of a coward to actually fight me face to face. You have brute strength, but my spirit is stronger. The battle was interesting to be sure.

It's sad that a Captain can't fight an equal one on one, but makes the zanpaktou do all the work. Very sad indeed. I wish you luck in rebuilding your family, but as this battle stands, Kuchiki seem to have the upper hand." She smiled then and bowed again towards Sozen-sama and her squad, which was hollering in the stands. "I hope you approved of the fight, Sozen-sama." During the talk, she would still be on alert for a surprise attack.

Note in the last paragraph, Hotaru, that your paragraphs were starting to get a little short. Otherwise, good fight for the most part, sad to see it just stopped.
