Hebika was... admittedly a tad anxious. She was not entirely sure she was ready to be indoctrinated fully into Shizuka's life, meeting a coworker? It was something that, now knowing what it was that Shizuka did for a living, was almost worrying. Of course she didn't show it, it was not in her nature to be so ruffled. But even so, deep down she was a bit off tilt. Even so she smiled in response to Shizuka's assurance that it would be ok. Oh She was so... cute.
Leaning in, she couldn't help but reach up, tunning a hand through her friend's hair as she gave a soft tsk tsk, still adorned in that alternate color of hair, though no longer wearing the contacts, letting those golden eyes of hers breathe in full view, hardly hiding them now as she scooted in and gave Shizuka's face a gentle pat before she leaned in, briefly pecking the woman on the lips for the trouble of their worries and concerns, so expertly hiding the fact that she was indeed comforted by her concern.
"I may not look it dear, but I've been around for a while. I've met plenty of humans and really, you don't need to be worried about me and this 'Z' individual." She had, of course been told his real name, or what she assumed to be his real name. Perhaps it was fake? She hardly cared. Z sounded so much more interesting. "Honestly, you act like we're dating and I'm meeting your parents for the first time. I'm sure he is a perfectly nice fellow and we will get along just fine." She noted with a nod, remaining close to Shizuka as she took a moment to sip her gatorade.
Was she placing herself all but coiled around Shizuka possessively? Pfft, nooo, that would be silly. She was simply making it clear that she and Shizuka were friends. Surely she had no intentions of kissing Shizuka in front of the man to tell him to keep his ugly little pecker away from her Shizuka. That was preposterous. Another sip of her margarita and Hebika was letting out another calming sigh. "Are you sure you don't want one Zuka? They really are tasty." she teased, once more trying a little nickname she had come up with. She was still getting a feel for it.
Of course she had a number of far more insinuating nicknames to call the woman, but honestly she had tact after all. Taking a moment to briefly glance in the direction of the clock, only the tiniest hint of caring in her eyes before she went back to her drink. He was a little late. Supposedly. She had somewhat expected him to show up a little early, technically he was still on time, but in her book, he was getting close to being late. Honestly, who WASN'T fashionably early? That was how the saying went didn't it? Hmmm, she'd have to look that up later. Goodness these margaritas were just vanishing!
