Vesta was sitting in her last class of the day. She was paying attention to the teacher, taking notes when she needed to, but she also daydreamed a little. She would look outside at the sunshine and wish she could just sit in the light of the sun. But, she copied down the last few notes in her class and was grateful to hear the last bell of the day ring. It meant that she was free to go home and see how her father was doing, or go hang out with friends after school.
She gathered her school supplies into her messenger bag and then headed towards the door. While heading to her locker to make sure she didn't need anything else out of it for homework, she was thinking about what she should actually do after school today. She did have a lot of homework to do and even though she could go to a friend's house and work on it, she got the work done much quicker if she was working on it at home. So, when her friends offered to hang out, she had to refuse. Schoolwork came first.
So, she changed her shoes and headed out the door, pausing first to breathe in the fresh air of nature. She never knew what it was about nature itself, but she just loved it outdoors. She took her time in front of the school, walking slowly to enjoy the trees and nature that surrounded the school. She had reached the front gate of the school and turned back around to look at it when she thought she noticed something on the roof of the building. She would look up at the roof, trying to see if she could make out any details of what might be up there, with no luck.

The howl of a hollow caught Kisala's attention. She had only just arrived at Karakura Town, and already there was trouble. She had heard from the more experienced shinigami that this place was a hot spot for spiritual activity, but she really underestimated just how much so. Kisala rushed in the direction of the howling running as fast as she could on roof tops as well as on thin air. She found that nifty little trick useful for getting around the town quicker.
She skidded to a stop on top of a building looking down to see a hollow twice the size of a bison. It had a lizard's head and bull horns. there were large spikes protruding from various points on the creatures body. It still seemed like a low level hollow. She wouldn't know what to do if she found a Gillian much less any thing more powerful than that. Kisala look over the edge of the roof judging the distance away from the building it was, as well as the height of the building itself. Kisala drew her blade and leaped off the building ready to plunge her sword right in the back of its neck.
The creature must have sensed her coming or something. When she was about four feet away from it, the hollow looked up and brought one of its four clawed hands to block Kisala's strike. It seemed to stop her in mid air before pushing her away trying to throw her into a building wall. Kisala managed to get her feet against the wall enough for her to slide down to the ground without sustaining injury. She had the hollows attention. So much for a quick stealthy kill, she thought with a growing smile on her face.
The hollow howled again before charging running on in a blind angry charge. Six strong limbs propeled the creatures large body forward, but of course it wasn't as smart as Kisala was. Kisala jumped high into the air, and moved away from the creature letting it run past her and slam its own head against the wall. The wall had large cracks splitting stretching in all directions originating from the point of impact.
Kisala took the opportunity to attack the dazed hollow. She pushed off the wall for some extra speed as she ran by it dragging her sward against its flank. The hollow howled again, but this time it is in agony. Still the hollow was not out of the fight. In fact it turned to her and seemed to be smiling. A low growl rumbled from its throat. No not a growl but a laugh. She turned to face it, as the hollow faced her. It bleed, but the wound was not deep enough to really be harmful to it.
"Good, good shinigami, that was an impressive strike though you will need to do more than that to finish me." Its deep voice said with a hideous smile. "I can see it in your eyes shinigami. The lust for battle for a worthy opponent to fight. But even I know that I am not that opponent...yet, so to that end I will devour more souls to become that opponent!" It turned and fled in the direction of the high school. Kisala rushed in pursuit trying to stop it.

Vesta kept looking up at the roof, thinking she saw something when nothing was actually there. She rubbed her eyes quickly to try to see if that would help, but sadly, it didn't. She shook her head lightly. She had no idea why she had saw something on the roof. Maybe she needed to get her eyes checked or something. Either way, she slowly started to walk away from the school, heading in the direction of her house. It was then that she saw something that was fairly far away. It was a blob of black, but she was pretty sure that it was some kind of big monster.
Well, assumed it was a big monster, based on her experience with Tsukuyomi. Though, that time, she was able to actually see the stupid thing because it was right in front of her. This time, it was still a little far away, so she wasn't for sure if it was one of those 'hollow' creatures he talked about, but she figured it was. She stood where she was and sure enough, the monstrous thing started to get closer. When it was getting closer, she could definitely tell that it was a hollow. It ran right by people and they didn't even give it the time of day.
Since it was heading her way, she knew that she needed to try and stop the beast until another, what was it Shinigami?, came by to defeat the beast. She didn't have the power to actually kill it, but it was the shinigami's job to do so. So, she figured that she would at least keep the hollow at bay while giving time for the shinigami to appear. While it was coming closer, her head started to hurt. She grabbed her head, wondering where this headache came from all of a sudden. By the time she looked up again, the hollow was a lot closer now, maybe one hundred feet away.
The pain hit her again. This time, however, she heard a voice call out to her. She looked around quickly and didn't see anyone around her. The school was now practically empty. The only people left were a few teachers and janitors to clean the school up after hours. The pain hit again and she heard a weird phrase being now called out to her in her mind. The command was Ziege Dich. She had never heard this command before, but somehow it seemed familiar to her. The pain kept growing and she felt her body almost act on its own.
She reached for her locket, the one thing that she always had with her, and felt a throbbing coming from the locket itself. She looked down at it and it seemed to actually glow. The phrase kept showing itself in her head and it was like she knew what to do, just like her father told her. So, she steeled herself and thought why not? Honestly, what was the worst that could happen doing what this weird voice in her head was saying? It could be the thing that she had been waiting for for so long. So, she pulled her necklace off and said, "Ziege Dich!"
Once she said the phrase, she dropped her necklace to the ground. The emblem on her necklace started to glow. She looked up and the hollow was now at least twenty feet away, if not closer. She looked back down and saw something form from where her necklace was falling. She saw feet, wait paws, starting to form. She had no idea what was going on, but when she looked up again, it was ten feet away. She started to back up slowly, looking for anymore rocks she could throw at it. Then, right before it was to strike her, she threw a rock at it and then saw something move like lightning at the hollow, hitting it in the face.
It landed and looked back at her. Vesta just stood in awe. She looked at the ground and her necklace was gone. But, where there was no necklace, there was now a huge tiger. It was white with black stripes and it looked like hair was moving along its spine and face. It was looking at her like it knew her, but she didn't really know where it came from. Could this be the doll her father was talking about? She had no idea what dolls were supposed to look like, but if it was hers, it was cool for sure. "I am Zorn and you're right, I am your doll, Vesta. Look out, it's coming back!" It turned back around and roared at it while Vesta just stood there.
Her doll? This was her doll? A talking tiger that had lightning spewing it from it? Oh this was awesome. She loved it! She smiled and saw her tiger get ready to bounce on the hollow again. She quickly found a few rocks. She put some in her bag and held a few in her hand. She started to throw more rocks at it while her doll, Zorn, started to run at the beast. He ran and started to jump up the hollow to keep attacking it, biting and slashing at it wherever he could. When he was done with his attack, he jumped down and immediately went to Vesta, standing in front of her to protect her from the beast.

Damn she was too late, the hollow was already attacking someone. Kisala stopped when she saw something strange going on. She watched as the girl's locket transformed into a mighty tiger which defended her against the hollow. Kisala was glad that the girl seemed safe enough for now with her strange guardian, but the fact remained that she needed to kill the hollow before it decided to look for an easier target. Kisala looked up at the school and smiled making her way to the top as the hollow was distracted.
Hollow howled as the claws and teeth raked its flesh. This was a troubling child to deal with. She seemed to be just an ordinary human, but it seemed that it was wrong. The hollow growled staring down at the girl and the tiger beside her. "So you are not as defenseless as I had hoped." It said a bit disappointing. "No matter, I will devour you and your pet then take on that shinigami." He reared up to his full height howling its battle cry.
The hollow threw all of it's limbs at the tiger all at once trying to overwhelm it with the shear number of attacks, as well as its strength. The hollow planned to pummel the feline to a pulp then toss it aside like a piece of trash. Then he would go after the girl. She didn't seem to have that much strength in her. She would do for a snack. After devouring her, he would move on to a more populated area full of souls to devour.
Kisala looked down as the hollow attacked the tiger. Her plan seemed to be working, she just hoped that the tiger could hold out long enough for her to hit her mark. Kisala performed the same move as before, only this time she was much higher and could get more speed. She jumped down as stealthily as she could positioning her blade ready to end this hollow. She felt the wind blow past her skin blowing her air up and out of her face.
She put all of her weight into the sword as she made contact with the hollow. It went through the hollow's neck right through the center. It gurgled on its own blood in surprise. Kisala was through with this thing. With a mighty pull, she tore through the thing's neck on one side. She then brought her sword back to fully cut the hollow's head off. She leaped off the thing's back before it dissapeared. Kisala sheathed her sword with a relived exhale. She killed it before it could harm anyone.
Kisala turned to the girl and the tiger. She was sure that they could see her since they were able to see the hollow. Kisala smiled friendly waving at her from a few feet away. She wasn't sure how hostile the tiger really was, and she wasn't about to test it by walking up to it's master. "Greetings friend, glad you weren't hurt by that guy. Sorry for putting you in danger like that." She said bowing from the waist

Vesta watched the tiger, who she learned his name was Zorn, come in front of her and stand, acting like a shield for her against the hollow. While he was close to her, she had to admit that he was enormous. She was only 14 and would grow, but jeez the tiger was like a giant. He kept close to her and she wanted to tentatively touch him but decided against it. They were in the middle of a fight and it would probably be a bad idea to distract him. She was just glad that Zorn's attacks actually did a lot of damage against the hollow monster.
The hollow was disappointed that she wasn't as defenseless as it thought. It then said that it would devour her and her pet then take on the shinigami. Shinigami? There was one around here? She had only met one of that race before, so she was curious if Tsukuyomi was the shinigami that it was talking about. Then, it reared up on its hind legs, roaring loudly out at them. The hollow was a lot bigger than she thought. Zorn, in response, roared loudly at the hollow, growling as it started to run towards it. Vesta had her hand out to stop it, but stopped. It was stupid of her to try to do that.
Vesta went over and picked up a few rocks that were nearby. Zorn was fighting with it as best he could, trying to avoid all of the limbs. He avoided two, but when more were heading towards him, Vesta threw rocks at the beast. When the rocks hit, it distracted the beast enough to where Zorn could avoid all of the attacks rather easily. Zorn went back to what it was doing earlier, running around using its fangs and claws to wound the beast. She thought Zorn might be tiring, so she threw even more rocks at it to try to distract it.
It was at that moment she thought she heard something fly through the air. It was then that she looked at the hollow and noticed that there was a girl on the hollow's neck. It seems as though she skewered it in the neck. When Zorn noticed her, he immediately stopped his attacks and went back towards Vesta. He walked in front of her and watched with Vesta as the woman pulled the sword out and completely severed the hollow's head from its body. She watched as the hollow's body started to disappear and she looked back towards Zorn.
She circled close around her, with his head by her right hand and tail by her left. He got close to her and she was almost hesitant. It was then that she remembered what her father had told her about dolls. They were strong and powerful helpers in battle, but if they thought their wielder was weak, they would not hesitate to attack. The dolls only listen to ones that they think are worthy. So, she couldn't show hesitation with him, EVER. So, mustering her courage, she immediately reached out and touched his pelt.
Zorn, it sounded like, almost purred at the touch. He was so soft. Also, she noticed that the lightning he generated diminished since she was touching him. She eased now, and he circled around until her back was touching his side. He was so soft, she felt like she could take a nap on him and be content. She then looked up and saw the shinigami walk towards them. It was Tsukuyomi, which saddened her a little, but it was nice to meet another shinigami. Vesta kept her right hand on Zorn's head while the shinigami talked. "Hello, I'm Vesta. It's alright. Thankfully, Zorn was able to help me out."

Kisala had heard a bit about bounts and their dolls. She never thought that she would see one in person really. She would have assumed that they would not want to have any contract with a shinigami, as well as being incredibly rare when it comes to other races she guessed. Well that wasn't important. What was important, was the fact that she was alive and the hollow that attacked her was dead. Kisala felt good about today. Killed a hollow, saved someone, it was a good day all around. Though Kisala was curios as to why the girl was this comfortable around a shinigami.
"I am Kisala Shihoin, it is a pleasure to meet you Vesta. Well I hate to kill and run, but I have other places to patrol." She bowed one more time with a friendly smile on her face. "Try to stay sa--" Another hollows howl cut her off. There there was a hand full more that seemed to answer it. Were there really that more out there in the immediate area? Hollows never hunted in packs like this, at least as far as Kisala was aware of. Kisala drew her sword again scanning the horizon.
"Vesta, you need to get out of here. There are more of those monsters coming, and I don't know if I can take them all on and keep you safe." She was sure that the tiger can hold its own in battle, but she didn't know if Vesta herself was really combat ready for something like this. She looked back at the girl with her orange eyes urging her to go. "Quickly before all of them are upon us." The first one had already showed up when she had finished her plea.
A large owl like hollow landed before her. It had the mask of an owl and a lizard like body. She didn't know what kind of abilities this one had, but she had to kill it quickly. Kisala ran at the monster her blade held in a high guard position. She watched at the hollow howled at her raising into the air with a few beats of its mighty feathered wings. She would need to find a way to clip its wings. Other wise it would be a serious pain in the ass to deal with.

Vesta was happy that Kisala seemed to be polite and nice to her. She didn't know if this demeanor was due to her doll being active or not, but she liked to think that Kisala was like this all the time. She then said that there were other places in the city to patrol. She completely understood. This was a big city so it understandable if she couldn't spend too much time in one place. She was at least being friendly, so there was no reason for her to be unfriendly towards her. With Kisala's stance, Zorn seemed to calm down as well.
Kisala tried to continue talking and tell her something, but a howl cut her off. When Zorn heard it, he immediately perked his ears up and got tense under Vesta's fingers. Vesta tried to look around and see if she could see where the hollow's sound was coming from. She couldn't tell, but she trusted Zorn's instincts. Kisala was also getting ready to fight off what might be coming towards them, scanning the horizon and holding her sword out in front of her at the ready. Vesta took a deep breath and tried to ready herself for what might be next.
Kisala told her to get out of the area. She said that more hollows are coming and she was afraid that she wouldn't be able to keep her safe while taking all of the hollows on. She was thankful that Kisala was nice enough to actually look out for her this much and wanting her to head out. She then told her to leave quickly before more of the hollows come towards them. Vesta wasn't moving. Zorn was already moving in front of her, to protect her if need be. She was already looking around and found a few rocks to hurl at hollows.
Vesta was a little surprised to see a huge hollow appear out of nowhere, but she assumed that it just flew in on the air and she just didn't notice. Kisala ran at it and that's when the hollow grabbed her and picked her up into the air. Vesta watched and that's when she heard Zorn growl, which pulled her attention back towards what was going on in front of her. She took a deep breath to steady herself. She knew that Zorn and herself was going to need to try to handle all of the hollows that were starting to come towards her position.
The first two hollows that she saw looked like huge bugs, with huge, translucent wings beating. Vesta immediately thought of two huge beetles. When they came down to try to get her, Zorn started running at one, hitting it right in the face with his claws, jumping on its back. Vesta watched the other hollow coming towards her and did her best to throw rocks at the mask in the same spot, trying to crack the damn thing. When it got close enough, she would duck, trying to avoid the bug. Thankfully at that time, Zorn came down and landed on the other bug. He started to attack this bug while Vesta got up.

Kisala gripped the leg of the owl-lizard hollow and searched for a way to climb up its body. She needed to put this thing into the ground, so she could finish it easier. Other wise she could easily be throw off and at the mercy of the beast while she was in the air. She scanned the beast's body quickly with her orange eyes trying to anything that she could use as hand and foot hols. She noticed that the creature's body was comprised of scales and feathers, maybe she could use them. It was worth a try, she had to do something before it threw her off.
She jumped up grabbing on a rough scale and a clump of feathers. She managed to start hoisting her up, but the Hollow must be feeling her climb up its leg and banked hard trying to shake her loose. Kisala's grip was strong enough to keep hold, and once the beast straightened up, she kept on climbing. She quickly put one hand up above the other using her legs to push herself up higher and higher. She stopped only when the Hollow tried to throw her off by banking or rolling in mid air.
Kisala finally managed to get on top of the Hollow's back. She had to crouch and hold onto the Hollow in order to stay on the think. She slowly made her way to the left wing of the Hollow. She fought against the wind that was pushing against her. It took both hands to keep herself on it, but she would be able to injure the wing enough to cripple its ability of flight enough with a single strike. After several seconds she made it to the point where the wing meets the body. She watched the muscles move the wing trying to decide where the best place to strike was.
Kisala gripped her zanpakuto in a reverse grip and stuck it deep into the flesh of the Hollow. She heard it howl in pain as the sharp metal ripped deep into its flesh. Kisala pulled her sword back cutting more flesh trying to cause as much damage to the wing as possible. Blood sprayed from the wound flying past her and raining down on the ground below. The hollow lurched as it continued to howl falling to the ground. Kisala kept a hold of the creature as they dove uncontrollably to the ground. She jumped off just before impact with the ground rolling on the ground trying to take some of the force of of it.
At some point she lost her grip on her sword. She looked around and found it laying on the ground between her and the hollow. The hollow was slowly getting up trying to use its wing. It growled at her looking at the sword as she did. She scrambled to her feet running as fast as she could trying to get to the blade. The hollow was heading for it as well trying to get to her before she could get to the sword to make her an easier kill.
Kisala used shunpo to close the distance to the sword picking it up as she ran. The Hollow darted its head out in order to try to bite the young shinigami. Kisala was stilling running and didn't miss a single step when she rolled under the head of the hollow barley making it in time from getting chewed on. As Kisala rose to her feet, she pushed her sword up into the Hollow's neck. She pushed with all the force she could muster and drove the thing to the ground. She stabbed it in the mask just to be sure that it was dead before she confronted the next hollow.

Vesta looked up and saw Kisala trying to handle the hollow that picked her up. She then quickly looked over to see what Zorn was doing. He seemed to be handling the hollow well. Vesta quickly looked around and found some decent sized rocks. She picked them up and started to hurl them rocks at the hollow, trying to be careful to avoid Zorn in the process. Thankfully, it seemed like he was able to sense the rocks when they were close enough and avoided them. With one rock, she was able to hit it the hollow in between the eyes.
She looked at it wide eyed when that happened. She must have been extremely lucky to get such good aim. With the hollow dazed and a little bit of the mask cracked from the force of the rock, Zorn honed in on it. He used his claws to dig into the hole, making it bigger. The hollow was screaming with pain while Zorn was clawing the hole bigger. Vesta had a good idea on what he was trying to do. She found a few more rocks and started to aim for the hole he was creating. She tried her best to aim and started the throw rocks at the hole.
The first two rocks missed, but thankfully, the third one hit straight into the hole and the hollow immediately was grounded, screaming in pain. Once it was downed, Zorn started to completely destroy the mask. Vesta ran up, wanting to help Zorn defeat the beast. Though, once she got to its face, she didn't really have anything that could help her destroy the mask. Zorn looked to her, glanced over at a rock and growled low in his throat. She knew that he was obviously trying to tell her to use her rocks to break the mask apart.
She went over and grabbed the biggest rocks that she could find and ran back over. Zorn had made the hole a lot bigger now, and now Vesta had a fairly large rock to help him. She went over to the hollow, held the rock over her head and dropped it on the hollow's head. She heard a crunch and saw more of the mask break off. She then quickly picked it up and smashed it three more times on the hollow's head. After the last time, the mask was completely destroyed and the hollow was just laying there.
Vesta just stared at it, not knowing what to do next. She turned away and started to walk off. Zorn sniffed it and then quickly caught up to Vesta, rubbing her right side and purring softly. She looked down and smiled at Zorn. She knew for a fact that actual tigers couldn't purr, but he wasn't like normal tigers. She put her right hand in his fur as she looked to see that Kisala was able to bring down her hollow. "Zorn, I did the right thing, yeah? I've never had to do that before. I just...I don't know." At the end of that, she looked at her hands.
She had never done that before. She was purely running on adrenaline. She didn't want anything to happen to Zorn. Even though she had just met him, she knew that he was a part of her and didn't want him injured in anyway. She scared herself that she just did that so quickly. She had never wanted to hurt anyone like that before. But, it was trying to kill them, so she knew that she was doing something good. It was then that she felt something rub against her. She knew it was Zorn of course. She looked down at him.
"I know you have not. I know much about you, Vesta. But, do not worry. You were in the right. If you had not done anything, it would have killed you and me in the process. Please remember, hollows hunt down people like you and Kisala and Tsukuyomi, to devour you. They are hungry and evil, like Tsukuyomi said. They deserve to be put down and punished. I do not know what to do with that one we finished though. I sniffed it and I think that it is down for the count and not bother us anymore. Be happy."
Vesta nodded towards him. She knew that he was right. Ever since she met Tsukuyomi and got introduced to the beasts known as hollows, she would never be safe again. Since she could see them, if they noticed that she could see them, they would start to come after her. She definitely knew now that she needed to be ready at anytime she was out to fight them. It also made her realize that she definitely needed to train to actually fight herself and not completely depend on Zorn to fight all of her enemies. It was then that she saw another hollow heading her way. "Zorn, go!" He then ran straight at it.

Not two seconds after she was finished with the owl hollow, two more decided that they wanted a crack at her. She turned to face the two of them blood still dripping from the blade of her sword. She was in the zone. It didn't matter how many hollows took her own at once, she would come out on top. She held no fear, no hatred. It was like a she entered a sort of zen state where she can completely on the enemies before her.
These two hollows were smaller compared to most. They were about the size of a normal humans. One was a mix of human and porcupine. The spines on its back and arms were obviously sharp, and she wasn't going to see if they had any other kinds of effects with them. He seemed to be covered in them, and his mask was in a perpetual sneer. He got down on all fours paining the spins on his back at her then that is when the other one came at her.
the other one was shark like with a large, blade like dorsal fin and blade like fins on his for arms. The tail fin was also bladed and his teeth looked like they could easily rip anything apart that they got a hold off. It would seem that they were going to try and take her on at once. The shark like hollow started to circle around Kisala. It was going to be a pain to try and keep an eye on both of them this way. She would need to come up with a plan to take them on one at a time.

Well, it seemed that the hollow that was running towards them saw Kisala instead. The hollow, once it saw her, immediately started to go towards her. Obviously, this hollow thought that Kisala would be a better meal. The hollow would be incorrect. But, Zorn was able to follow the hollow's movements though once he reached the hollow, he made a few quickly swipes and then backed off a little. He had swiped just long enough to get the hollow's attention. Vesta had no idea why he didn't just attack it directly. She grabbed more rocks and headed towards him.
"No, Vesta! Stay back!" She stopped suddenly, trusting that Zorn could see anything that could hurt Vesta before she could. She looked at the hollow, trying to see what Zorn was seeing. Once she squinted, she could make out a few things on the hollow, which almost looked like the spines of a porcupine. Because of that, that's probably why Zorn made her stop. If what she saw was really porcupine quills, the hollow might be able to shoot them out at her and if she got too close, she could get hurt badly.
Zorn looked back at Vesta and she knew that she was right in the assumption. She knew that she had bad eyesight, but she knew that Zorn had to have better eyesight than her. He growled towards the hollow, obviously trying to figure out how to tackle this porcupine hollow. Vesta looked over towards Kisala. "Hey, Kisala! We'll take care of this hollow if you take care of the other one!" It was then that Zorn started to charge the porcupine hollow and it seemed that he had come up with a plan. At that moment, Vesta started to throw rocks towards the hollow, hoping to distract it.

Kisala took her eyes off the hollows just long enough to see the tiger get the attention of the porcupine hollow. Kisala nodded in appreciation as she went back to tracking the shark hollow. Her gut sank when she couldn't find it for a few moments. She had no idea where the thing was. Kisala kept her grip very tight on her sword. She kept on alert trying to predict where the shark like hollow was going to strike next.
The hollow was not on the concrete, or in the air, but rather it was in the ground. It was swimming inside solid matter, which Kisala was not prepared for. When the shark was behind Kisala, it lunged up at her mouth wide. Kisala saw it, but it was too late. She turned trying to block the bite, but again she was too slow. She felt the teeth make contact with her arm and shoulder, but thanks to her unusually high spiritual pressure, she was spared the pain of its teeth sinking into her flesh.
In fact, the teeth of the shark broke against her skin like it was made of diamond. Kisala didn't have the time to be grateful for her gift. She brought her sword to bear putting it into her the flank of the hollow. She wrapped her arm around the thing and dropped her weight onto the hollow. She brought the thing to the ground while digging the blade deeper into its flank. Kisala rose to her feet quickly pulling out her sword to decapitate it.

Once Kisala nodded towards Vesta, Zorn went into action. He ran at the legs of the hollow, trying to take its feet from it. Thankfully, he was able to get one leg, but the scratch wasn't deep enough to do any damage. Zorn continued to run around the legs of the hollow, trying his best to keep the hollow off guard. Thankfully, it was working. Since Zorn wasn't staying in one place for long, the hollow had nothing to really aim at and was just trying to swipe at him. She hoped to distract him by throwing rocks at its face. Thankfully it worked.
The first few rocks hit it in the face. It looked up and immediately shot out quills towards her. She ran fast and was able to avoid the barrage, but just barely. She then noticed that after the quills are released, it's bare of anything besides claws and teeth. Though, it didn't take long for the quills to reappear. While it was bare, however, Zorn manage to swipe at the other leg, but still wasn't deep enough to hurt it enough that it would be down for the count. Once the quills came back, however, Zorn took a few steps back.
"Zorn, I have an idea. If I distract it enough so it shoots me with quills, you can then run in and get it. I think that would be the best course of action right now." Zorn nodded his agreement and stood, waiting for her cue. She started to throw rocks at it, hoping that it would focus on her and not her tiger. Thankfully, she had thrown enough rocks that the hollow unleashed more quills at her. Right when the quills were released, Zorn ran into action, running at the hollow fast enough and tackled it to the ground. He attacked the mask and she heard the cracking of the mask under him.
Vesta looked over to Kisala. She knew already that when a shinigami killed a hollow, something happened to it. She didn't know what yet, but it had to be better than if she killed one. When she did, nothing happened to it. Vesta then spoke. "I think it would be best for you to kill it. I don't know exactly what happens when your kind kills it, but it has to be better than if I do. I think Zorn has it on the ropes. Please finish it. Zorn! Once she heads over, ease off it so she can deal the killing blow." Vesta would stand at the ready and once Kisala got close enough, Zorn would back off, but staying close by in case the hollow did anything.

Kisala was watching the tiger fend off the porcupine hollow while she was wrapping things up with the shark hollow. At first it seemed that the tiger couldn't get close enough to the mask or body of the hollow to do any real damage. Then she got worried when it fired it quills at her. She was about to go help the girl, but she seemed to have dodged them just fine. She was planning on letting the girl and her tiger friend take care of it, but that is when the girl said that Kisala should kill it. Kisala looked at her with a curios look.
She was a perceptive one she would give her that. She noticed that the hollow that she was fighting had dissipated once Kisala killed it. The girl might not have known exactly what Kisala did, but she knew that overall it was better for the soul trapped by the hollow it a shinigami took care of it. Kisala smiled over at Vesta, as she started to walk over to the two fighting spiritual beings. Kisala still gripped her sword tightly though only in her right hand this time. The tiger must have noticed her approached for he moved aside getting off the hollow, so Kisala could do her job.
"When a Shinigami kills a hollow with their Zanpakuto," She was telling them, as she brought her sword up to prepare for the final attack. "The blade erases the sins the soul has committed as a hollow." Kisala darted in as fast as she could before the hollow could fully get back up to fight again. Kisala slashed at a bare part of its chest before jumping up into the air pointing her Zanpakuto down. As gravity pulled Kisala down, she drove the blade into the mask of the hollow. It would start to disappear once Kisala got off and turned her back to it. "The soul will then move on to the soul society to live in peace."
She turned to the two of them now that all of the hollows were dealt with. She walked over to the two of them and bowed low. "I want to thank you for your help. If you did do as I asked, I do not think that I would have been able to fight all of them on my own." She straightened with a large friendly grin on her face. The hollow was completely gone, but the entire place was a wreck from the battle. "We should hurry away, normal people may not see me, but they would be able to see you and your doll." She motioned for them to fallow as she headed away from the school as sirens started coming closer to them.

Vesta and Zorn was at the ready in case that stupid hollow decided to do something it would regret. Thankfully, Kisala was able to head over quickly and kill it with ease. While Kisala was actually killing the hollow, she was nice enough to tell her what actually happened when one of her kind, a shinigami, killed a hollow with their weapon. It seemed like when they killed it with their zanpaktou, which she assumed was what her sword was called, the blade erases sin committed as a hollow. Vesta thought about that for a minute.
A sword that can erase sin? It was something interesting to think about. While she thought about that, Zorn slowly walked back towards Vesta, keeping his eyes on the hollow the entire time in case he needed to run back in and help. Kisala continued, saying that the soul is then free to move onto Soul Society so they can live their afterlife in peace. She had heard Soul Society before, from Tsukuyomi. From their discussion, she got the impression that Soul Society was like heaven that is taught by religions. From what she said, her impression was right.
It now made sense to her why the hollow then started to disappear. The hollow itself gets erased, while she guessed the core of the beast was sent upwards towards Soul Society. Tsukuyomi said that they were evil beings, but maybe they weren't evil to their cores. If what Kisala said was true, then maybe these souls turned evil for whatever reason, but the true core of the beast remained pure. It must be why, when they're cleansed, they get to go to heaven. It was a nice thought, but she was quickly brought back to reality.
Kisala thanked both of them for their help, and also said, not so many words, that she was grateful that they stayed behind instead of running off when she asked. If they had, she didn't know if she would've been able to fight the hollows off on her own. Vesta and Zorn nodded towards her as to say welcome. She then brought up a good point that they should leave. If Vesta was caught there, trouble would soon follow her and she was pretty sure that her father wouldn't approve. Vesta started to run after the shinigami and that's when Zorn grabbed her by the back of her shirt and threw her on his back. She was a bit surprised, but held on tight to his fur as he ran full force after Kisala.
