A Chance Encounter

Vesta sat, looking at this boy while he was explaining everything to her. What he was saying was very interesting, especially since her father had not told her about any other spiritual races. He said that they were out there, but every time she tried to find out more about them, he would just blow her question off and change the subject. She never understood why he never wanted her to learn more about what else might be in the world, but she never really said anything against and tried to ignore it herself. But, it was just so hard for her to ignore it.

Now, with another spiritual race in front of her, this was her chance to ask all the questions she ever had. Thankfully, he was nice enough to answer her. So, she now knew about at least one other spiritual race that existed. Well, really two, but she didn't really count the hollows. She now knew that if she saw another one of these things, it was evil and if she could, she should try to defeat it. Well, either that or keep an eye on it so if she sees someone like him again, she can tell them where the beast is and they can handle it.

Though, she wanted to learn how to defend herself now. She had helped him fight the beast, but she felt powerless just throwing rocks at the hollow. She should be able to fight it off like he does. When he talked about the other worlds, she was making comparisons to what she thought of for Heaven and Hell. It sounded like Soul Society was like Heaven. Since he came from there and fights evil, it would make sense that where he came from would be like that. This other world that he talked about, Hueco Mundo, sounded like hell, since the evil hollows come from there.

She looked at him and he seemed to be in a great deal of pain. She felt bad that she really couldn't do anything to help him, but he did say that he was okay. Still, she felt like she needed to do something to thank the man for saving her from that thing. "Thank you for all the explaining of my questions and thank you for saving me. I don't know how to repay you. Though, if at all possible, do you think you could actually teach me how you fought like that? Since I can see those things now, I should probably learn how to fight. My name is Vesta, by the way, nice to meet you."

Tsukuyomi began to stand up as the girl continued to speak. As he did so he could feel the pain in his ribs and came to the decision that when he actually got back to Soul Society it would be best to head right for the squad four. He needed to get touched up by a medic that much was for sure and the sooner the better it was starting to seem. Honestly next time he got into a confrontation with a hollow Tsukuyomi knew to just good for the same spot over and over again until the damn thing would die.

So this girl was thinking of how she could repay him. Tsukuyomi wasn't really sure what she meant for he hadn't really done anything specifically to protect her. Sure he had stopped the hollow from attacking her and killed it, but that was his job as a Shinigami. He hadn't really thought o doing it just to save her life when the actions had actually occurred. Tsukuyomi would have to ponder on that while he was getting medical attention.

What she asked next though was something interesting. The girl wished to be taught how to fight in order to defend herself in case she ran into another hollow. Tsukuyomi thought over what he could actually do t help her learn to defend herself. As he thought though she continued to speak and he learned that her name was Vesta. She was being polite now and although she had been a handful she had aided him the best she could.

"I'm not to sure how much I can help you Vesta. I'm rather new at this myself. If I'm ever deployed to this town again though and happen to come across you I'll check up on you. My name is Tsukuyomi." After he spoke his name the gates to Soul Society suddenly would appear and open. Tsukuyomi began to walk into the light between the doorways only to stop for a brief moment. "Keep up next time hot head." Just like that he was gone.

Vesta listened to what this boy had to say. She had so many more questions to ask him, but she honestly didn't want to overload him on questions, especially since he was now getting up to leave. She would've pulled at his clothing so he could stay, but he honestly had no reason to stay. He had defeated the hollow and she didn't know what else his kind did here. So, if he was going to leave, he should just leave and do whatever else it is that his kind do up in heaven. Though, now that she made that reference, she wondered what this 'Soul Society' must look like.

She was just in wonder of this new boy that just got dropped into her life. Well, not really into her life, but he was a new acquaintance that she hoped to meet again. Right when she was thinking that, he said that if he ever came back to town again and came across her, he would definitely check up on her. A small blush colored her cheeks and thankfully, he wouldn't see it. She didn't know why this was effecting her this way. Though, he commented that he was still new to all of this himself, so he couldn't help her too much with fighting.

It was sad, but then he mentioned his name, Tsukuyomi. She thought about the name. It was really pretty, for a boy's name and she tried her best to commit it to memory. She didn't want to forget his name, since she really wanted to run into him again sometime in the future. She saw something that looked like the old paper doors from Japan appear and they opened, showing a bright light. She knew that this must be the Soul Society he talked about. He walked through them, telling her to keep up next time before disappearing. He did not just say that. She was angry but before she started yelling, she remembered how late it was and ran home as quick as she could. It would be interesting if she met this boy again...
