The look on the demon boy's face was one that Asmoskon knew all too well. It was the same look of rage and anger that he held in his own eyes yet directed at the Shinigami and Vandenreich. It was obvious that he had turned himself into a monster in the eyes of this boy yet his soul didn't allow any empathy for the demon spawn. The dark haired Shinigami just kept quiet like a good little underling who knew he was in no situation to argue or question what was going on. That was when Asmoskon heard the sound of Hotaru's feet shifting on the floor.
That was when Hotaru spoke about how she loved him even if he wouldn't believe her. Asmoskon listened and the light in his heart began to break through the light his emotions were beginning to rush throughout him uncontrolled. His left pupil began to shake violently like a crazy person. Hotaru had been looking for him all this time. She was the real one the girl that he loved and maybe just maybe they could work through everything. He might not have to suffer anymore maybe he could take back what had been lost.
Then the light was snuffed out by darkness. Asmoskon had still been facing the direction of the demon boy and the male Shinigami while everything was going on and his body language had been changing drastic as she spoke which would reveal that there as something going on in his mind. Now though his left eye displayed shock as it looked right in front of him. "Awe how cute! It's so adorable how much your little heart keeps longing for things to get all better. Seriously though did you really think for a second she was here for you? Isn't it obvious Asmo? She . I'm only here for the man that's better then you he was suppose to be here not you."
Asmoskon starred at the illusion of Hotaru that had been haunting him since his near death experience with Anarchy. The confused expressions that had been on his body were now gone replaced once again with hate and anger. Hotaru was starring at him with that evil grin on her face as she leaned down and lay on the dark haired Shinigami's body gently. "Honestly though it's not difficult you should have realized sooner to avoid the pain . . every man is better then some pathetic lonely little loser like you."
Asmoskon had been having trouble dealing with the illusion of Hotaru since she materialized in his mind yet what she had just said cancelled out everything that the actual Hotaru had said. The Hotaru was crying he believed was the real one she had to be yet she had hidden things from him in the past. The illusion had told him in the past that she was real that she was just the actual Hotaru telling being completely honest with how she felt. His mind couldn't hold itself together with both of them around him at once.
"SHUT UP!" Turning around his hands moving from the pockets of his coat Asmoskon's short bow materialized in mid motion and as that happened his actual power skyrocketed. His anger was in control now little logic was within his thought only his emotions of sorrow and rage controlled him. He had concentrated blindly on all aspects of his power as he turned and generated a crimson arrow on his bow. As he turned in the direction of the actual Hotaru the arrow would be sent through the air at her.
The light in his heart though had fought back against the blind anger and confusion on his life. The arrow had been fired and at a speed that Hotaru wouldn't have thought possible from Asmoskon before and as it flew it split apart becoming two. What would happen next would mark how serious the former love was about staying away from him. In the next moment the sound of something being shattered would echo through the hallway. Hotaru would feel something and then if she chose to would see her zanpakuto broken. Asmoskon had just fired off an arrow which broke through her cannon and the hilt of her sword causing the blade to fall to the ground.
The inner love and light that Asmoskon still possessed although overwhelmed by confusion and pain had subconsciously kept him from actually shooting Hotaru out of rage. "YOU DON'T DESERVE TO SAY THAT YOU LOVE ME! YOU WERE EVERYTHING TO ME! YOU THREW ME AWAY!" Asmoskon turned his bow no longer visible. "You speak of repairing our relationship. You destroyed that part of me when you bed with the Vandenreich behind my back. You're just like every other woman a WHORE." Asmoskon would then begin to walk through the hallway as his power spread unchecked the gravitation pressure pushing down on all in the room other then Hotaru. He would stop below the hole in the ceiling that was covered by emerald and then thrusting his hand upwards fire out an arrow that would shatter the gem. As the sound spread and the gem fell to the floor Asmoskon vanished from sight making his way from the prison and the pain of seeing his once precious love.
{OCC: Asmoskon's reiatsu strength is 600, Hotaru's is 525. Asmoskon used willpower first which caused his Reiatsu Strength to reach 1200. Then used the Sanrei Glove to gain 50% off of that which is another 600 Reiatsu Strength. The arrows that were fired in this post have a Reiatsu Strength of 1800. This is the logically reason why the arrows shattered Hotaru's shikai.}

Hotaru stared as Asmoskon. He had stopped and listened to her speak, so that was one good thing in her favor. Looking at him, his actions just didn't seem to fit with what she knew of the man. The man she knew had a sense of honor and pride, not striking people when they were down and always helping people in need. The man that was in front of her now was cold. She didn't know much of what he did while they were apart, but she could just figure out what he had been doing. It was the only thing that seemed likely, he started fighting everyone.
Though, after she was done talking, she watched his body language change dramatically. It seemed like he actually listened to her, which made the start of a small smile form on her lips. To her, it seemed like he was taking a long time, but she really didn't know much about him now. He had changed so much and he was hurt badly, which she was to blame for. All she could think about with him standing in front of her is the man she used to know, the way his face would light up when he saw her, the love she would see in his eyes towards her...
She started to fight back tears again. There was such a huge disconnect from the man he was now to the man he used to be. She waited to see what he was going to do. She had made her mind up that she wasn't going to raise her zanpaktou against him. She felt Rivu~aiasan warn her about it, but she knew that this was right. Even if she did, she knew she couldn't hurt him. It was near impossible for her to hurt someone she loved so much. When he yelled shut up and turned around with his bow aimed at her, her smile faded.
She looked in his eyes and saw all the pain that he was going through and it nearly broke her again. Right when he had completed his turn towards her, he fired off an arrow at her. She immediately thought that she was going to die. But, she had meant what she said. She would rather die by his hand than live a life without him. She kept her eyes fixed on him, wanting him to be the last thing that she ever saw. She waited to feel the arrow pierce her body and for the blood to flow out of her as her life would end, but it never happened.
Something just as horrible happened instead. She heard something shatter and she thought that she had just heard it. Asmoskon knew how much Rivu~aiasan meant to her. He wouldn't do something as horrible as hurt her zanpaktou. The shattering noise didn't stop. She felt something on her left arm and looked down to see her canon fade and her sheathe drop on the floor. She looked to her right hand and all she was holding was the hilt of her sealed zanpaktou. The blade was broken in several pieces on the ground.
Her arms were shaking with rage now, she looked back up at him with rage and hate now. She still felt the love for him, that would never change, but now, what he did, he just made Hotaru hate him. She listened to what he said and it seemed that he really didn't listen to what she said. Though, what he yelled out first hurt her more than anything else he said. She didn't deserve to say she loved him. She was everything to him and she threw him away. She didn't throw him away, she cherished him more than any other...
The power he was releasing she had felt, but ignored due to the arrow. They were on about the same level now. He turned and walked away, showing his pressure. In Hotaru's rage, she released her own spiritual pressure, showing him her rage before he left. When he left, she let her spiritual pressure subside and felt completely drained. She took a deep breath and composed herself as much as she could. She looked towards Jak and Aevus. "Jak-san and Aevus-chan, we need to get the prisoners out. Take all of the ones here to the elevator and take it all the way up to the floor and I'll take this one after I double check the place. Please leave now."
She opened the doors and quickly showed the prisoners where to go, having one of her companions take the front and the other take up the rear. When she saw that they were all at the elevator and taken care of, she shut the doors. She quickly Shunpo'ed around the prison, making sure that all of the other prisoners were gone. It seemed like Asmoskon was the last one. She then quickly went over to her sword and tried to speak to Rivu~aiasan. Sage! SAGE! Are you still with me? Please answer me!
She started to cry over her sword again. Her sword was one of her most cherished objects. She spent all of her time with him and he was a part of her. Now, he was broken and it was completely her fault. I am here, young one. It is not that easy to completely destroy me. I am not gone, the vessel is just injured. Oh thank the gods! I am so happy you're safe, but you were right. I'm sorry that I'm the cause of this. "Everyone makes mistakes and you had no idea he would do it, Hotaru. Do not worry too much. Just remember to get all of the pieces of me so we can mend the sword back in Soul Society."
She nodded, slowly picking up all the pieces of her zanpaktou. Thankfully, they were broken into larger pieces. The only regret was that she had nothing to put the pieces into except her scabbard. So, she tried to do the best to put the pieces back as best she could and then put the hilt into the top of her scabbard. She touched it and a few remaining tears left her eyes. "I am sorry that you were broken, and I swear on my honor as a samurai and a shinigami that I WILL make him pay for breaking you, Rivu~aiasan. I will find him and he will listen to me. He will apologize for what he did, or else he will regret it."
She took a breath and wiped her eyes. She walked towards the other elevator and pushed the button to go all the way up. While in the elevator, she continued to talk to Rivu~aiasan, discussing the way they would need to fix the zanpaktou. Hotaru kept checking on him but he assured her that he was fine. Once the doors opened, she ran out of the elevator and luckily saw the group not too far away from her position. "Aevus-chan, you need to take the front. Clear the path out of here! Jak-san, take the rear and make sure no one sneaks up on us. I'm running in the middle. Let's go!"
With that, her group of prisoners started running towards the entrance of the prison. Thankfully, there wasn't that many high ranking Quincy out and about in their way. It seemed like most of the other high-ranking Quincy were in the prison, probably trying to figure out what happened. Thankfully, everyone was keeping up a fairly fast pace and within a few minutes, they were at the gate. Hotaru was able to push it open and the prisoners started to run outside in many different directions. She didn't bother to try to round them up, the mission was only to get them out.
Hotaru took a deep breath and rubbed her eyes. She was completely and emotionally drained. She looked towards Jak. "Thank you for your help in this mission, Jak-san. I had no idea that Asmoskon had hurt you like that or I might've mentioned something earlier. I can't stay long. I have urgent matters to attend to back in Soul Society. Get in touch with me if you want to continue talking about it. Alright Aevus-chan, time to go, but you're going to have to open the gates." Once Aevus opened the gates, she wouldn't wait and just ran through them, emerging in Soul Society and immediately heading to her room in the Kuchiki Manor. She immediately poured out the fragments of her zanpaktou and with Rivu~aiasan, started to heal her zanpaktou.

Jak watched the two of them with some interest. He wasn't going to act like he knew Hotaru that well, but he did think that it would take a genuinely good guy for her to make her fall like that. Was he that different some time before? Jak shook his head. It didn't matter what someone was like in the past. All that mattered was what they are like now. It was obvious that Asmoskon was lacing any empathy with anyone. He cared about nothing about destruction.
That suddenly got Jak thinking. Was he really any different that him? Was Jak's motivations, and actions really differed from the Quincy's. He lived to fight and destroy his enemies. How was that different than the Quincy? Jak shook his head trying to push those thoughts out of his mind. It made him sick to his stomach to think that he had something in common with any Quincy. They were all nothing but scum to him nonredeemable scum.
When the Quincy turned on Hotaru and fired his arrow, Jak was completely caught off guard. He wanted to use the last of his power to fire a spirit bolt right at the Quincy's head, but he knew that he was in no condition for anything. He couldn't even make himself move right then even if he wanted to. He watched at the arrow destroyed Hotaru's Zanpakuto. Jak didn't even think that it was possible for a shinigami's sword to be broken like that. The Quincy must have some serious power behind him. Jak would have to be more careful when fighting him and get even stronger to match him.
Jak watched the Quincy walk past him and the other Shinigami walking to the exit the quincy girl left through destroying the crystal with ease. Once he left, the shock left Jak's face. He turned back to Hotaru who seemed completely devastated that her sword had been broken. He didn't know if she thought the same thing he did, or if the sword meant that much to the shinigami. He almost felt sorry for her. His expression softened a bit, but that was all.
"Aevus-chan, you need to take the front. Clear the path out of here! Jak-san, take the rear and make sure no one sneaks up on us.I'm running in the middle. Let's go!" So, she still had enough to give them orders? He cracked a slight smile at that. She had strength he would giver her that. It truley takes a strong person to put aside their devastation to make sure that they get out of this place alive. They were not completely out of the woods yet. Jak nodded and ran the best he could behind them. His ribs were still injured after all.
Luckily it was smooth sailing from there to the gates of the prison. The quincy guards, and administrators were probably still trying to reorganize from all the chaos, and with the sear number of prisoners they would have easily overwhelmed any Quincy's that were foolish enough to get in the way of the anxious mob and try to stop them. They had a small army of angry prisoners some with nothing to loose. It would make even veteran soldiers a bit uneasy to face them.
Thank you for your help in this mission, Jak-san. I had no idea that Asmoskon had hurt you like that or I might've mentioned something earlier. I can't stay long. I have urgent matters to attend to back in Soul Society. Get in touch with me if you want to continue talking about it." Jak nodded to her still holding his ribs from the run. "I do wish to talk to about this. Once the dust settles and you calm down a bit then we can talk." He gave her a stern look which told her that he was serious about this, and that she will not like the conversation.
Jak did not wait to see them leave. He was already making his way back to the forest where they started the mission. A fair distance away was a motorcycle that he had arrived on. The ride would most likely hurt like hell, but it would be a quick ride back to a place he can rest and recover before heading home. This mission was a sobering experience in more ways than one. He knew now that he needed to get stronger, and that he still needed to gain more control over his demon powers in order for them to be fully useful to him.
