Death-Claw's attack on the outer most district of the Rukongai was swift and sudden. He knew that since all of the beings in the Rukongai were spiritual they would be able to see him, and instantly recognize him as a hollow, so ambushing his prey was out. He came in hard and fast from the wilderness taking everyone who dwelled in the 80th district completely by surprise. Most of the inhabitants tried to flee the hollow, but there were still a few fools who thought they could fight the hollow off. They were no shinigami by any means and proved little trouble for Death-Claw
One of them came out with a large stick to bash at the hollow. He was a round man with tattered clothes and a dirty bandanna on his balding head. He brought the large stick up over his head and brought it down trying to cave in the head of hollow. The only thing that managed to touch the wolf skin cap of the hollow were splinters. Death-Claw brought his arm up to block the attack and the stick shattered on impact with his arm. Death-Claw didn't need his powers to defeat the man. Death-Claw grabbed him to the face and slammed him to the ground on his back. Death-Claw brought his other hand back and pounded the man's body again and again with his strong arms. Each hit the man flinched and flailed then little by little his flinches were subtler and subtler until he laid dead. The on lookers watched with horrified expressions as the hollow started to eat the man. Large chunks of flesh was ripped off the man's bones and those two were devoured leaving nothing but blood behind.
Two more men rushed at hollow in a vain attempt to drive him off or kill him. Death-Claw just smiled with a bloody smile as they charged in with their make shift weapons held high. He can smell the fear on them, and it smelled delicious. The first one to reach Death-Claw was a young looking man with a hoe. He swung at the hollow wildly. It was obvious the man was not a trained fighter and his swings were easy to read and avoid. With a mighty swipe of his long arm, Death-Claw disarmed the bow who fell to his butt and tried to push himself away from the hollow. He backed up into one of the many shacks where Death-Claw pinned him where he was with both arms before going for his throat. His screams were silenced quickly replaced with gurgling as he drowned in his own blood as he was devoured.
The third one to face him got Death-Claw while he was still eating the corpse of the boy. Death-Claw felt the blade of a sickle run down the middle of his back in a diagonal path. He arched his back and growled in pain as he suddenly faced the old man dared to strike him. The hollow advanced slowly, but the old man didn't back down. This one must be senile he thought as he brought his fist back to strike the old man down. The old man managed to dodge the attack but just barley, and went in for a second strike at the Hollows face. Death-Claw pulled his head back just enough to miss the attack, which left the old man off balance. Death-Claw took the opportunity to grab the old man's arm with his teeth and tear it off his body. He quickly ate the arm and went on the offensive. He grabbed the old man and slammed a knee into his gut breaking several of them before taking another bite out of his back. Death-Claw made slow deliberate work of the old man until he too was nothing more but a bloody stain on the ground.
Qaletaqa had been sitting in the apartment once again bored out of his mind awaiting the return of his mate when all of a sudden he heard the people outside screaming in fear. Rushing over to the window the massive beast looked out and saw how the normal looking spirits ran through the town away from something. The black furred beast rushed from his apartment without a second though. Running to the point he didn't even realize he had gone to all four of his paws Qaletaqa got out of the apartment building and looked don the street.
One spirit who was holding her child bumped into Qaletaqa's chest and fell backwards. The mother screamed out in fear as she saw Qaletaqa standing in front of them. Qaletaqa looked down at them for a moment then knew that whatever was causing this had to be stopped. The young boy was unafraid of the large beast who he simply smiled up at him while Qaletaqa suddenly rushed down the street.
After a few moments the large black furred otter turned a corner and saw a few spirits dead with blood covering over a good portion of the road. His long tail moved around behind him the golden braces reflecting the sunlight cast down in the mid afternoon. Qaletaqa saw a strange white masked beast and knew what it was. He had seen them before although it had been a long time ago since. He knew they were even more lost then him and would need to get eliminated even faster then the Shinigami.
Smelling the air Qaletaqa could tell that the blood was overpowering pretty much anything else he might have been able to smell. This white mask beast though had fur on its head and it was eating the body of a spirit. Qaletaqa stepped out into the street ad growled at the beast revealing that he was challenging it to a battle of dominance and territory. This village was his he lived here with his mate and no beast was going to be a risk to her not even himself.

The hollow was in the middle of feasting on the souls that he had just killed when a growl caught his attention. He lifted his head and saw a beast before him. It wasn't like himself. The beast was more animal like. He was no hollow which would make him one of the beast clansmen. More important that what he was, was the fact that it seemed to be challenging him. If this beast man wanted to challenge a hollow, the he shall receive one.
Death-Claw stood tall looking through his wolf head hood. He turned his right arm into a long curved blade similar to those that of those irritating shinigami. He extended his sword arm out at the animal man accepting the challenge. He glared at the being challenging him wondering how he would taste. He decided to make the first move. He charged the animal man slashing with a downward on its head. No matter how he dodged, he would try to grab the beast and pin it down to finish it quickly.
Qaletaqa watched the white masked creature who wore a wolf face and saw the limb that looked just like a weapon that the Shinigami used. Qaletaqa knew that weaponry was used by the majority of individuals. In truth even Zahra used knives to aid her in combat especially with Qaletaqa himself. Yet the large beast never felt the connection due to it not being apart of his own body. It seemed this creature was going to fight with one though.
It then rushed him and Qaletaqa could easily keep up with the speed it was moving. As it rushed him the large otter beast growled and then charged forwards as well. Qaletaqa closed the distance between them ad moved to the side slightly so that the creature no longer would bring his sword down on his head but his shoulder. Qaletaqa had fought against swords in the past and knew that the distance between them and the way that the creature swung it would cause the arm to make contact with his shoulder and prevent him from damage.
That though was not the case. Qaletaqa brought his right arm down on the creature at the same time that the creature swung down on him causing both of their attacks to land at the same time. Qaletaqa had thought he would succeed in clawing the creature across its face and down its chest without him receiving any damage. However, Justas he felt his claws digging into the flesh he felt incredible pain in his shoulder.
Acting out of instinct Qaletaqa halted his clawing motion and actually spun around at max speed making it less then a fraction of a second. He did this so that his massive tail would be swung around and clashed with the left side of the creature's body and hopefully knock it to the side or down to the ground. Qaletaqa backed off after that as he didn't understand why he was cut. The blood was flowing slowly out of the wound and Qaletaqa could tell that he wouldn't be in much danger with the wound he had took even if it was deeper then he'd like. d10

DeathClaw felt the beasts claws start to rake across his flesh when his blade sunk into its shoulder. He smiled temperately when it stopped its attack, but was not ready for the tail that came is way. The strong tail caught him in the ribs knocking the small hollow to the ground, but DeathClaw didn't stay down for long. He quickly got up and was laughing. This thing was smarter than the average bear so to speak. He figured that the blow he inflicted must be hurting the beast man, but he was not going to stop there.
DeathClaw came in again thrusting at the animal man with a diagonal cut from the things right shoulder down to his left hip. He would then fallow up the attack with a thrust to the otter's stomach. He kept his normal hand close to his body just in case the animal man decided to try something like the tail attack again. If it was one thing that he prided himself in was his ability to learn where the others seemed to mindlessly attack again and again.
DeathClaw was still contemplating if he should eat the animal man. He had already ate three souls before the fight began, but that would never make a hollow full. Hollows were never full. They only continued to eat whenever they could. He had never tasted the flesh of the beasts. He thought that he might as well take the opportunity to try it now. If the animal man was still in arms reach, DeathClaw would try to grab it and pull it closer to bite into it.
Qaletaqa watched as the white faced beast rushed at him again with the blade arm. Qaletaqa had no clue how it was possible that this thing had one of the Shinigami weapons for an arm, but right now he needed to do his best to stop the creature. It was coming at him with decent speed, but if there was one thing that Qaletaqa had better then his mate it was his speed. That being said it was one thing that Qaletaqa found pride in about himself and he was going to display why.
As the swing came towards him Qaletaqa moved backwards at his full speed just barely making it out of the way. He could feel the blade slice across the edge of his chest fur and knew that he might have been cut if he was just a little slower thankfully he wasn't. In the next moment Qaletaqa rushed forward in a half crouch as the creature thrust his strange arm forwards. Qaletaqa lunged to the right avoiding the thrust as he hit the ground the beast rolled and moved his tail wrapping it around the left leg of the creature.
Qaletaqa would suddenly pull his tail towards him attempting to take the creature off balance by pulling his legs apart. As that happened Qaletaqa rose to his feet and slashed at the face of the creature once again with the claws of his right paw. Qaletaqa was hoping that he would make contact and simply kill the creature or force it to run before he lost control of himself and began to kill everything.
As the slash went through however Qaletaqa's eyes slanted even further than natural and his conscious somewhat intelligent mind was lost. He had been claimed by his curse once again in a fight that very well might put this entire section of the Rukongai district in danger. His slash suddenly lost a good deal of precision replaced by pure feral drive to simply knock the head off the body of the beast.
