Training to Teach - NDE Training [Open*]

[Takashi Kuchiki]

NDE Training: Takashi has recently attempted to teach others to build confidence in younger students or all who wish to train. As per the previous events (all before Arc 2) have transpired, Takashi wishes to strengthen the military. As such, he is hosting training at the 11th along with the aid of his 3rd seat.

There were desks situated in the room of the eleventh. There were only about six or so seats, but more could have been brought if he so desired. Takashi stood in a somewhat lecture hall looking area. His hair was tied back and he wore a nice black suit, and dress shoes for once. This attire wasn't unusual for Takashi, he would frequently visit Kuchiki or noble balls that Sozen would take him to. Heck, he'd been to so many that he couldn't even count anymore. Part of him actually looked like he had learned to dress as the sixth Taicho. Sozen had been one to teach others in the human world. He had found some awe in teaching others with the life lessons he had learned. For Takashi, it was so he could better learn himself how to battle by training young minds. Not to mention, it appeared as though the eleventh division commander was currently on a mission. As such, Takashi figured he would utilize this time to teach others; Sozen had an influence on this of course. In any case...there was a large black chalk board behind him. To the back of the area, there was an area for combat, much like a softened ground rectangular 'pit' as they would call it.

He had sent out a hell butterfly to the other divisions. This was a training that any new recruit or anyone could join. It was simply to further bonds between division while aiding in lessons. Training was far too privatized after the academy and Takashi wanted to know the new faces coming to the gotei 13. As such, he awaited, standing erect, his sword resting against the back of the desk as he stood over empty seats. There was still five minutes before anyone was going to come to this lecture. Perhaps they knew who this Kuchiki was, or they wanted to better themselves; he wasn't sure if anyone would even come. It didn't bother him too much though, it was more an exercise he wished to test. He wanted to become a teacher for some of the new comers now.

OOC: This will be just a fun formal training thread. It'll also be for my goals to get Takashi seen as a teacher for some students. I'd like for a select few students to form a bond with him in this short time where they could come and rely on this 'teacher' type. We will see what happens and such. Anyway, let us get to it. Go ahead and make your entrance posts and what have you. Please note this thread is also so I have a place to post where quick posts are made. I don't mind if you take some time on your posts but I'd like to just be able to post. Please keep that in mind after you join, thank you.

[Hotaru Kuchiki-Masurao]

Hotaru Kuchiki walked through the barracks of the Eleventh Division. She waved to the squad mates she passed as she was walking towards a room in the barracks. Her Fukataichou called on her to help him with something, but she had no idea what it was. Since Iro-taichou was gone on what she assumed was a mission, Takashi was acting captain. So, in a sense, she was acting Fukataichou, which was an odd sensation for her. Oh well, she'd show up like he asked.

When she walked in, she was surprised. She didn't even know that this room existed. She figured for this squad, most of the training was out in the actual training grounds. But, the room did look nice and it seemed that Takashi had set up the room quite nicely. She saw that there was a nice pit for fighting, but it was pretty obvious that the main purpose of this room was to sit down and learn basics. She didn't know this side of Takashi, but it was an interesting side to be sure.

She walked farther in the room and noticed Takashi. He was dressed in an actual black suit, with nice dress shoes and his hair tied back nicely. It reminded her of how Sozen likes to dress. But, she had to admit, he cleaned up rather nicely. So, he called for her to help train people it seemed like. She did notice some hell butterflies leaving the area. He must've sent out some messages for people to train here. It made sense that the Eleventh would be used for training, since they were the hard hitters.

She walked up to where Takashi was standing. "I have to say Fukataichou, you look rather nice for a teacher. I hope I can help you in your pursuits here. I now kinda wished I would've dressed up more instead of just wearing my regular uniform. Oh well." She then looked over her uniform to make sure that it was in perfect order. When it was to her satisfaction, she made sure her zanpaktou was secured tightly and stood with straight posture next to Takashi, waiting for new arrivals.

[☾ Aevus | Umbra ☽]

Snoozing through the day was a common ritual for Aevus even after joining squad 2, he was still preferably nocturnal in nature. Usually he could be found by himself in the barracks and today was certainly no different. A sliver of light found itself sifting through a window panel, gently touching the form of a little black kitten who had been napping there. Like him, this little one enjoyed sleeping through the day lit hours of the day. Yet unlike him, the kitten had no duties to attend too.

It wasn't long until one of those pesky black butterflies found itself at the window panel where the young kitten resided. Like any other cat, this young one was no different to pouncing upon small critters. And the moment it awoke, it had attempted at doing so, nearly falling off the panel it was residing. Yet the curious fellow was not one to give up on the hunt and as the black butterfly would land softly on the chest of the man, the kitten had readied a darting attack. The little cats ears would flatten backwards as it pounced forth against Aevus's chest immediately awakening him in a startle.

Nearly half asleep, Aevus would begin to pet the little one with but a finger. "What did I tell you about waking me up from my cat naps?" The black cat would merely mew at the sound of his voice. But with this he would sigh, his eyes falling on the Hell butterfly moving out of the window. "Maybe I'll just pretend I didn't hear the message." With this he would fall back in his bed, but the little kitten wouldn't hear it mewing and pawing at his chest.

"How am I the lazy one?" Aevus would reply to the kitten as if it was an actual person and yet again it would simply mew in reply. "I swear I counted at least three rats the other day, so you shouldn't be talking." But yet again another mew exited from the small ones maw. "Friends? I have no interest in making those." This time the little kitten would begin to dig at him, mewing even louder to get his attention. in a moments notice Aevus rose up, picking the small kitten up by the skin of its back. "Alright, you win. But only because I can't get back to sleep, with your constant bickering."

With this the pale skinned man would get dressed, his hair still bed ridden and his clothes easily wrinkled yet he couldn't care less. "I better not see you napping when I come back." But not to his surprise the kitten had already nestled itself neatly against his pillow. "Predictable." Aevus had arrived to the coordinates that the message described, going into the doorway he would arrive. He wasn't one for bowing or introductions so the whole thing was a bit awkward for him. "I suppose I'm early for once" He would murmur under his breath.

[Kimiko Shihoin]

Training in the garden of the Shihoin estate was just another day in the life of princess Kimiko. All morning she had been jogging around the garden and the estate while climbing up the side of the buildings and practicing her flips. It just seemed like things were getting uneventful and boring. Damn boring was the worst possible thing to happen to someone who had finally gotten what they sought. Kimiko thought that because she was a shinigami now she would never be bored again well that was wrong. It seemed like now all the missions she got from her division caused her boredom how was Okami able to do it.

Kimiko couldn’t help, but giggle at the thought that maybe that was why he always acted like such a robot. His own work was so boring that he got tired of it all years ago and just stopped caring she just thought it was funny. Right as she stopped giggling though she saw the arrival of a hellfire butterfly. What message it held was probably related to an assignment from her division stating she needed to do yet another boring task. However, to her excitement and surprise it seemed that a Vice-Captain was asking that some of the newer shinigami attend some kind of training.

Although Kimiko wasn’t sure she wanted to be trained by someone so random that she knew nothing about the aspect of seeing other shinigami and possibility fighting them made her excited. So without thinking due to the excited rushing throughout her mind Kimiko rushed from the Shihoin estate with her zanpakuto in her right hand. She was actually dress in the normal uniform of a shinigami so she hoped that no others would know she was a noble and would go all out on her in a fight. It took about half an hour for Kimiko to reach the division eleven barracks.

Once she arrived Kimiko saw that the place was surrounded with shinigami so many many of them older men that looked like they would attempt to take advanatage of her if they had the chance. Not liking such a crowd Kimiko had decided to attempt another way into the building. By walking along the top of the barracks Kimiko was able to find a window and sneak in from the outside without anyone seeing her. As she snuck around the barracks she eventually came upon a room that she looked down from at an awkward angle.

She managed to see that there was a sand pit for sparring something that made her happy and a bunch of desks something that did the exact opposite of the first. She could see both of the high ranking shinigami one obviously the vice-captain that sent out the butterflies and the other a rather tall female. After another moment Kimiko dropped down from the upper level into the room with a smile. “Hello I assume this is the training area right? Please tell me we’re gunna spar and not just listen the entire time.” Kimiko couldn’t help herself from grinning at both of the shinigami hoping at least one wouldn’t be a robot.

[Takashi Kuchiki]

Takashi's attention turned towards the door as it creaked open. The first to arrive was his third seat whom he had sent for earlier. Today was a day where they had no paperwork. A casual Sunday afternoon where most of the files had been accounted for. He looked towards her as she entered and walked up to the man. She complimented him, which was a nice gesture but he couldn't help but look at her with slight displeasure. Though, for Takashi, that meant looking at her with the usual bored eyes. "It is impolite to enter without bowing to your superiors. I do not say this because I am so far concerned with formalities. However, as one of the Kuchiki, mannerism is quite important. Traditionally, the subordinates bow first and it appears optional for the higher ranking official.". He let the tension pass before turning back towards the empty class room, his hands in both his pockets. "However, I do appreciate your compliment and thank you".

This time, Takashi bowed his head slightly towards Hotaru. It seemed as though she hadn't quite yet adjusted to the mannerisms of nobility. Though Takashi was an outsider, Sozen had thoroughly conditioned him. The man had gone to many formal occasions and met with high ranking nobility. He wasn't simply representing himself, but the entire Kuchiki family as well. He raised his head before seeing her standing beside him. It was only moments until the door opened and a younger shinigami with sleek black hair entered the room. "Welcome. Please take your seat". The Kuchiki spoke to the new arrival. He would allow for him to chose anywhere to sit, it was good that he was early; a good point for him.

It was moments later that another one entered the area. It was quite apparent to him that they were coming. Takashi himself was always on edge as an assassin. He hadn't told anyone of his abilities, but he was ever vigilant. He didn't pay it much attention though, as a moment later someone jumped down from the roof tops. It was apparent by this gesture that they favored stealth. They were either apart of the second division or raised in a family which favored this technique. This, or it was just a simple combat tactic they chose. She seemed enthusiastic and wanting to spar already...interesting. "Welcome, please take your seat. To answer you, we will indeed be sparring. We will begin shortly." He said to her. He waited for them to take their respective positions. There was still time before class started but they were early...there had to be some kind of reward for them.

"In our idle time, please introduce yourselves if you would. Mannerisms and honorifics are appreciated, however, not required. It would give me greater understanding if you spoke of your squad and preferable combat style". I will begin, I am Takashi Kuchiki, Fukutaicho of the 11th division. The shinigami bowed to the students after he introduced himself. He raised his head a moment later and answered his own question. "Preferable combat is Zanjutsu or Hakuda. I am one to never falter during battle of an enemy, no matter the circumstance". The shinigami looked as bored as ever. His blue diamond like eyes were beautiful, said to be the most beautiful in all of soul society; making others jealous such as the soul king himself. His expression however, was rather lacking. He kept rather bored eyes and a near expressionless face. There wasn't much to read from him yet he seemed to have...something about him. In any case, he turned to Hotaru to make her introductions.

[Hotaru Kuchiki-Masurao]

Once she walked up to Takashi, he told her that it was impolite to enter without bowing to superiors. He said that he wasn't concerned with the formalities, but that since she was now a Kuchiki, mannerisms are very important. He then educated her on the subject. Subordinates bow first and the higher ranking official has the option to bow back or not. He then bowed towards her and said that he appreciated the compliment and said thanks.

"You're welcome, Takasi-fukataichou." She bowed back towards him. She walked over to his side and was still trying to figure this guy out. She was still wondering how in the hell this man could walk around without showing any emotion at all. It baffled her to no end. But, now that she had known him a little bit better, she could tell some emotions about him just from the way he holds himself or looks to someone. It was interesting how that works.

She heard the door creak again and another shinigami walked in. He had a pale complexion with jet black hair. She could tell that he just got out of bed and came over here. It was interesting but she hoped that for the future, he would want to take better care of himself. She nodded towards him after Takashi welcomed him. She took a deep breath, trying to push down butterflies. She's never helped teach a class like this before.

The next thing she knew, she could barely hear some shuffling of feet on the roof. She glanced over to where Takashi was and she could tell he knew someone was there too. She kept her senses maxed out, just in case something was going to happen. She kept track of this person and saw as the new shinigami pop in the room. She then asked if they were going to fight or talk all the time. Hotaru chuckled to herself at the joke. She nodded to her as well when Takashi welcomed her.

Then, it was Takashi that started to talk. He said that since they have some time to spare, they should all introduce themselves and say their preferred combat style. Takashi went first and she was a little surprised that he preferred Hakuda and another close combat, hand-to-hand fighting style than his sword. It was an interesting fact. He looked to her and she nodded in reply. "Hello all. My name is Hotaru Kuchiki, Third Seat of the 11th division. I prefer to fight with my zanpaktou. I fight till my last breath."

[Sheniamar Yuri]

Sheniamar hurriedly walked through the barracks complex, her auburn locks fluttering in the slight breeze and glinting playfully in the sunlight. She did not want to be late. One of her superiors in the 12th squad had ordered her to go the 11th squad for training. She was anxious. Fresh out of the academy, Sheniamar had had very little chance to make any real friends and she feared that she might be awkward meeting new people. But worse than that she feared she might not possess the same level of skill as the people she would be training with. The academy said she had shown promise, so she supposed she she not worry, but worries have a way of sticking around even when you know there is no basis for them. 

Sheniamar arrived at the 11th squad barracks slightly out of breath and somewhat disheveled. She quickly smoothed her hair back into place and made sure her makeup hadn't run by glancing at her reflection in a small pond nearby. Gathering her composure she entered the barracks and located the class room. She took a deep breath to steady her nerves and opened the door. The classroom was rather interesting. There seemed to be a smallish area designed for a few students to sit and learn whatever the teacher needed them to learn and a largish area designed for practical application. She could smell the soft earth in that pit and for some reason i triggered a memory of her small village on the outskirts of Rukongai. She had not been home since she left for the academy, for she had preferred to stay at school and take any off days to further her understanding of the material so far.

There were several people in the classroom, all of whom she did not know. The white haired guy seemed to be in charge and she recognized the Fukutaicho badge on his arm. He seemed rather bored and Sheniamar wondered if he was even interested in teaching this class or if he was here because he was ordered. Neither really mattered. She had been ordered here so she could not leave and she wasn't sure she would leave even if she wasn't ordered. The oppurtunity to be taught by a Vice Captain was an oppurtunity she would not pass up. Besides, he was cute in a dark somber way.

There was a taller woman beside him, though not taller by much. Her posture and position in the room identified her as the teachers assistant. Her purple hair was the first thing Sheniamar noticed about her. The second was her feet. This woman did not wear sandals, or any other foot ware for that matter and that surprised Sheniamar. She wondered if the woman ever stepped on sharp objects like glass or metal, but then, as the woman was the teachers assistant, is was probably likely that she had senses and reaction time high enough that she could avoid such dangers easily.

Sheniamar had entered the classroom just in time to see a rather beautiful female drop through a window and ask about sparring. The woman did not give her name and instead seemed rather hurried to get right into fighting. In the very least Sheniamar thought they could be friends as this woman seemed to have the same distaste for structure and formality as she did herself. The teacher replied as if he was not surprised to see a random woman dropping through windows on him. Sheniamar was unsure what exactly that meant but it seemed to be of little bother to the man. The teacher then proceeded to introduce himself and epressed his desire to know their names and their preferred fighting styles. 

Sheniamar also seemed to have arrived shortly after another person. He was youngish looking, and his dark hair was striking, havin almost a blue sheen to it. He also seemed disinterested in this class and she wondered if he had been ordered here as well. Of course Sheniamar knew that every thing she was thinking was an assumption, but she would log her assumptions in the back of her mind and see if she was correct about any of them. In any case she needed to introduce herself and figure out what she needed to do. She approached the teacher and bowed slightly, though she stood back up before waiting to see if he wold bow to her. She had acknowledged him as per custom, being her superior, but she was uninterested in remaining in a submissive position till someone else told her she didn't have to.

"Hello, My name is Sheniamar Yuri of the 12th squad. I have been ordered to attend this training session and I look forward to learning whatever you have to teach me. My preferred combat style is zanjutsu. Thank you for teaching me." Sheniamar then winked before adding a playful sounding "Fukutaicho."

Sheniamar was, in fact, trying to make a point. She wanted to imply that she did not mind the formalities, if it was absolutely necessary, but that she preferred an more fun interaction that the boring fomalities that were so prevalent around Seireitei. Maybe it was simply that she had spent so long near some of the roughest places in Rukongai, or maybe she felt that people should be able to communicate effectively and as equals without a formula to tell them how to do it, or maybe it was a combination of both. All Sheniamar knew was that she disliked formality and the structure it implied. 

Sheniamar then walked over to one of the chairs and sat down. She wondered what the training would be about. Surely this would be more advanced, or at least more in depth, than what she had learned at the academy. She was not experienced at fighting in the least, other than her spars at the academy, but the drive to learn was there. She would stop at nothing to gain the ability to slay even the most powerful hollows in her quest to avenge and purify her parents. She hoped to not only learn something new, but hopefully grow stronger by the learning.

[☾ Aevus | Umbra ☽]

Aevus would keep away from the seating that had been placed for the new group. He wasn’t one for idle conversation nor sitting around doing nothing, he much preferred getting down to the point of meetings and such. Distancing himself the newly appointed member of squad 2 would lean against the wall next the door, crossing his arm and his legs as his sapphire eyes befell those in the room.

First of all there was Takashi, a highly ranking Shinigami of squad 11. The tacky suit, the badge all shouted royalty and the surname Kuchiki backed up Aevus’s assumptions. His eyes were a light blue and were rather unique but eyes are just eyes, nothing to really boast about. Aevus had heard the name Kuchiki before, apparently they were a noble family held in high regard amongst the people of Soul Society.

Yet to Aevus he saw them as he saw everyone else, just people nothing more, nothing less. Yet this was the first time Aevus would ever speak to one. The girl Hotaru was apparently another Kuchiki and belonged to the same squad no less. This didn’t really surprise Aevus all that much though, being how noble families tended to be closely nit, blue blood and all. Upon first glance of the girl, he had noticed she wasn’t wearing any sandals, which was very peculiar. He had also noticed the purple hair, perhaps they wern’t that blue blooded after all.

Kimiko he had met before and she was straight to the point as ever. At least that’s what Aevus thought when he first met her. Using her stealth perhaps to differentiate herself from the rest of the flock, her entrance seemed very showboated yet that’s just the way she seemed to be. Her personality didn’t mesh very well with his laid back attitude but she was thinking exactly what he was. Just like him, she wanted to get to the point of this meeting.

Lastly there was a girl from squad 12 named Yuri. A girl with emerald green eyes and red hair. She was rather alluring in her own right, her clothing seemingly hid the curves she obviously possessed. Aevus wasn’t one to flirt but he was a man after all and the female form was one of his weaknesses. Yet Aevus had also noticed the other girls in the room were beautiful in others ways too and as Aevus thought about it, a lot of the woman of soul society were attractive young woman. I guess there are some perks for dying young.

Staring at the male Kuchiki from across the room Aevus would answer but not before letting out a long exstended yawn as he spoke. “I’m Aevus.” Aevus wouldn’t apologize for his impoliteness but would merely continue talking. “I prefer the fighting style that kills my enemy faster than they can kill me, I don’t like dying iv’e done it once already.” Though Aevus hadn't known the reason for his death, he thought it would be pretty witty to add that statement.

[Kimiko Shihoin]

Kimiko stared at the male with white hair and shining blue eyes wondering if there was something wrong with him. For some reason she got a weird aura off of him like something was wrong. As the man spoke to her replying her own question about whether or not sparring was going to occur she realized what she felt. “Damn it he’s a fucking robot.” Kimiko couldn’t believe it why was this happening to her now. She felt like finally something interesting was going to happen only to find out that the person hosting a possible joyous event was in fact a robot in disgust as a Shinigami. It seemed like her luck was only getting worse as time went on. At least Aevus it seemed was attending this training session as well even though it was easy to see he was still his lazy self.

As the white haired vice-captain continued to speak he spoke in such a formal manner that Kimiko started to lose track of what exactly he was saying. “What the hell is a mannerism?” Although of noble birth Kimiko hadn’t ever bathed in that type of glory or life. Such a thing she believed to be stupid and egotistical. It just seemed like this vice-captain who now spoke his name and revealed himself to be a Kuchiki was someone Kimiko was never going to enjoy a conversation with. At least now she knew however why he seemed like such a robot if he wasn’t one in actuality. The Kuchiki family always seemed to have some kind of robot in the family to increase there numbers and this one seemed no different. Kimiko wondered just how strong a robot really could be.

Kimiko had heard the foot steps on another individual entering the room as she dropped down from the upper area and began speaking however paid no attention to the source due to belief that it would just be someone uninteresting. However, as the princess turned the sea blue gaze to the side the void filled pupils shrunk in shock. The source of the foot steps seemed to be one of the most beautiful people Kimiko had ever seen. The long red hair and green eyes her skin just everything about her seemed fit for someone willing to be paid for showing off clothing. Kimiko couldn’t help, but blush and turn her gaze to the side while pondering her own appearance and how insignificant it seemed compared to this other female.

It was then that the incredible tall female that stood next to the white haired robot Kuchiki began to introduce herself. Kimiko could tell right away from this girl’s voice that she was someone who held a powerful personality and incredible emotion. However, Kimiko was quite surprised when the female revealed herself to also be a Kuchiki. Kimiko wasn’t to sure if this was completely true or whether the robots were getting better either way both of the high ranking shinigami claimed to be from the noble family she despised most out of all.

Kimiko listened nervously as the Shinigami with the red hair began to introduce her. Even the girl’s voice seemed beautiful Kimiko just felt like she was being pushed down on a scale of beauty. Although she had always been told she possessed great beauty herself compared to this girl it seemed like Kimiko was little more than a male. Sheniamar Yuri she said was her name and that she was from the twelfth division. Her preferred style was just like the robot and the Kuchiki girl and obviously Aevus why did everyone choose the way of the sword. It was then Kimiko heard the playful tone Yuri said toward the robot causing her to look up at her with both surprise and slight disappointment. “Damn she probably made him herself . . fucking robot scientist.”

Then it came down to the Shinigami Kimiko had battled against little more than a week prior to this training session. If anything else at least she knew someone at this event and could honestly say he wasn’t a robot. As he yawned and then continued Kimiko couldn’t help, but grin and giggle slightly. The fact that he was so carefree was funny felt the princess. Although this did give her an advantage against any other of the individuals who faced Aevus here. Kimiko already knew from the previously battle that Aevus focused mainly on his zanpakuto when in battle.

Then it seemed it was the time for the princess to introduce herself to the rest of those gathered in the room. Kimiko sat down on top of a desk and crossed her legs and arms at the same time while thinking over for a second on how exactly to word it. “My name is Kimiko. I’m someone that likes to get right to the point and deal with things head on.” Kimiko couldn’t help, but stare into the eyes of the white haired robot as she spoke about her style. Making them all reveal the battle styles was just pointless and unfun. They could have all learned it through combat itself and been far more entertained. “I guess entertainment and fun isn’t in his programming.”

Ah yes, they had all arrived; or at least this was probably all of them. The class quickly filled with others who finally arrived on time or late. It seemed of the most noticeable were the three who seemed quite polar in personality. Takashi bowed to each student that bowed to him. He stood at the upper portion of the room, poised perfectly. He greeted each student with a "It is nice to meet you". It appeared as though two of the students only possessed first names; that or they were ashamed of their clans. Of the students that were here, the most interesting were Kimiko, Sheniamar, and Aevus. It was simply due to their responses, it would be interesting to see how they progressed. Perhaps Takashi would train this group for longer; that was to be seen however.

The last one to introduce themselves with Kimiko. It seemed she was the jester of the group as she cracked a joke. A great deal of students erupted into a soft laugh before it died down. The Vice Captain didn't say anything, he said the same thing as before; it seemed he ignored it. The shinigami turned around and walked clockwise around his desk. Grasping a piece of chalk on the rack he began scribbling various diagrams of drawings. For nearly a half an hour, he spoke without vigorous intent. .....The basics of combat rely upon the fundamentals

Ten Minutes Later

"If you wish to defeat an opponent in combat, keep true to your basics. Make sure to check your stance. Be sure that you are alert of every incoming attack possible. It is critical that you think through each and every case in your mind as quickly as possible.

Twenty Minutes Later

"It would also aid you to combat various opponents. I would suggest it beneficial if each of you picked a sparring partner. For this exercise, please pair yourselves up. Takashi's eyes fell to Hotaru. He had instructed her earlier to make sure the kids were spaced out in pairs. They would be handed gloves or wooden swords, whatever they prefer. If they had any other weapons they utilized, they would be encouraged to pick the sword. Hotaru was then instructed earlier by Takashi to explain to them to simply spar. At the end, Hotaru would be paired with one person and she would spar with them at their level.

The shinigami set the piece of chalk down and made his way behind the board. He dusted off his hands with a handkerchief, placing it back into his pocket. He walked until he was standing at the edge of the training arena. With his hands behind his back, he looked on, lazily as ever at the students that would be there. Takashi was simply there to observe. He wanted to see something and know something of the students; he wondered how their potential would come out. Rather, it was also about who showed the most potential.

(OOC: Go ahead and pick your partners. RP out asking them and then go ahead and spar for fun!)

Hotaru watched everyone enter the room, but the first three that entered stuck out to her more than any of the others. When Takashi would bow to them and say nice to meet you, Hotaru would nod her head their way. It was her own greeting. She also did it this way because the students acknowledged her presence, but they were definitely talking more to Takashi than her. So, she figured that she didn't need to bow all the way down for them.

She then listened to all the students say their names and their preferred fighting style. It seemed that Sheniamar Yuri preferred the same way of fighting as Takashi, which would definitely be interesting. She would try to remember that long name, but just in case, she would call her Scientist. The last two that said their fighting styles, she liked. They got straight to the point and just wanted to defeat their enemies as quickly and as fast as they could. She could appreciate that.

Takashi then walked around the desk, grabbed a piece of chalk and started to write on the chalkboard. She grabbed an extra chair that was laying around the room and sat down, out of the way of the chalkboard. She listened in to what Takashi was saying. He then went on talking for a straight hour about basics of combat and other different diagrams about fighting techniques. She knew it was important, but she was honestly starting to nod off a bit.

Once Takashi mentioned that they were going to pick sparring partners, that perked her up quite a bit. She listened to him, saying that the students would pair themselves up and one of them would be with her. Now that would be interesting. Also, hearing her called a sensei was weird too. Weird, but nice. He then said that when they decided to make their way to the area behind him, single file with their partner and she would be instructing them.

So that was why he called for her. He wanted her to train these newbies on fighting techniques. She honestly wasn't, at least in her opinion, that good of a fighter. But, whatever would help her Fukataichou, she would try to do to the best of her abilities. He then asked for questions. No one said anything, so he told them to pair off. He then looked her dead in the eye. It was then that she actually remembered what he told her earlier.

He wanted her to make sure they paired off, given either gloves or swords and then make sure that they just sparred with their partner. She was to encourage the sword if they utilized any other weapons. Also, with her partner, she had to spar on their level. Which meant she couldn't pull out her shikai against them because they would be too outmatched. It made sense so Hotaru got up from her seat and walked up to the front of the desk.

When he put the chalk down and cleaned up, she cleared her throat. "Alright guys, you heard Takashi-Fukataichou. I need you guys to quickly pair up with another student and meet me in the back in a single file line, one right behind the other. For the one that's left over and is going to fight me, please be at the end of the line. It'll make it easier that way. Let's do this quickly please, I'm sure that Takashi-Fukataichou wants to show you guys more than this."

Immediately, all of the students started to pair off with each other. After her statement, she walked back towards the training area and saw Takashi there. She nodded towards him and got out the gloves and swords. Once students started to pair off, she gave them what they requested, either the gloves or the wooden swords. Once the students hit the area, she would go and space them out in the arena. "Alright, these are just basic spars, NOTHING ELSE. You are to practice the basics that was gone over by Takashi-Fukataichou. And, begin!"
