John heard the creature yell in pain as his explosion blew off part of its hand. Damn... It's strong. I was hoping to do more damage than that... This wasn't going to work. If he continued like this, he was going to have to expend massive amounts of reiatsu to defeat this one creature. That wouldn't do. He needed to work out another way. But first, it was time to evade again. John had the advantage this time, though. He was closer to the buildings and cars. Space was tight, but he should have enough space to manoeuvre effectively. The Hell-thing, however, would have a much harder time.
It was charging at him again. John decided not to use Hirenyaku this time, and instead ran behind the truck. He was on the footpath now, which had suffered the worst damage. Rubble and corpses law strewn across the path, and soon John was leaping over things, instead of running. The first alley he came to, he sprinted down it. While the Hell-thing would be able to charge through the rubble on the path, John was hoping charging through the walls of buildings would present more of an obstacle to the creature. It wouldn't be able to charge down the alley without destroying the walls of the buildings on either side.
If it did that though... There's a good chance the buildings are so weak the whole thing could come crashing down... Was it worth a shot? He would only be adding to the destruction though, something which he wasn't very keen to do. Chances were though, that the buildings were so unstable that they'd have to be demolished when all this was over anyway. But it was still to risky. Even if John lured the beast down the alley, there was no guarantee that the buildings would collapse. He needed something more foolproof.
He went to the end of the alley, and walked out into the next street. The scene was much the same here. Destruction and death abounded. But there was something else. A shop with a red front, the glass smashed and the facade ruined, seemed to be displaying tents and ski gear. An outdoor supplies shop... A shop like that was sure to provide those pressurised gas cylinders, for camping stoves and the like. He could use those. He found two and dragged them out, setting them up at a point in the alley quite close to the other street. To get the Hell-thing's attention, John formed his bow again. The two orange cylinders stood there, their explosive gas still contained.
If the beast charged, John's plan of action was simple. Once it got close enough, fire a weak arrow towards the cylinders, and make it explode. The energy from the arrow would rupture the cylinder, causing the gas to release into the air. The energy provided by the arrow's explosion would ignite the gas, causing the lethal mixture of the gas and the air to explode. If the arrow only managed to hit one canister, that canister's explosion would do the same to the other.
So it was now a case of waiting and observing. Would the beast notice his bow, and charge? If it did, John was ready for it.
This reiatsu is only to be deducted if the Hason decides to pursue John down the alleyway : Reiatsu = 870/1050 : -10 for Class 7 arrow, -10 for Class 7 explosion
{Some Music - Probably a bit too epic for what's happening, but I like it too much}
