This place had good atmosphere. The streets were totally abandoned, but the light show was nice. All the flashing neon signs around? Rio thought it was a nice touch. He didn't get out in the human world enough. It'd be something to consider. Rio really didn't consider this next battle to be of much consequence. He was fighting that trash Gen. Whatever. Rio saw the guy to be something of a pacifist, and it disgusted him. He'd crush him fast and hard, and be done. Maybe go sightseeing. Rio did like Chinese food. A few souls after a fight and it'd be a perfect evening!
Rio walked down the street and sighed. "Ya know, it's one thing to be trash, there's no helping that. I can forgive you for that. But being late to a duel's a horribly rude thing to do!" He suddenly exclaimed out loud. I had better not be wasting my time with some worthless Fraccion.... I can only hope he holds out a little before I crush him. It won't be a complete waste that way then.[/i] He thought to himself as he walked around, staying loose and limber.

Oh man...Gen was late! He had almost forgotten! He was out on one of his observations in the World of the Living and he had been told that he was to fight someone. Sadly, he had kind of forgotten his opponent's name and rank. It wasn't that they had been unimportant. It was just that he had almost kind of forgotten the whole thing completely. Though, it was a coincidence that the place he chose to explore was near where he was scheduled to fight or so he thought. He was just out exploring China and looking at all of the impressive structures and monuments and whatnot and then he had remembered when he walked through a small village. The village reminded him about somewhere he had to be. Some kind of street fight. Then he remembered.
So, Gen rushed off, checking all of the streets in China for where he was to meet his opponent. Sadly, he didn't find any sort of opponent in all of the streets that he had checked. After looking for some time, he decided to just leave the country when he remembered where exactly he was to be fighting. It wasn't in the streets in an actual town in China. It was in a Chinatown. Gen remembered going to a few of them. Luckily though, he felt a strong reiatsu at the first one he had checked. Lucky him! The streets were deserted too, so he didn't have to look around much to find his opponent who was just standing twenty feet in front of him. Gen stopped and stared at the Quinta Espada, Rio Demonliogalgo. "It's you..." Gen spoke, for he remembered his first encounter with the former Sexta Espada. He had spoken badly about Miss Asuka.
Gen was a Fraccion though, so he still had to show Rio some respect. With a slight bow, he greeted the Sexta and spoke once more. "I apologize for my being late...I went to the wrong place..." He then stood and simply gazed at the Quinta through that mass upon his head. This guy was the Quinta. He was an Espada. Gen was like a fly compared to him in power, though that didn't mean that Gen wasn't going to give his all today. He had already lost to that Shinigami, Kaen Youji, and if he lost again, he was out of this thing. He would be out of there like a baseball during a home run. With that being his reasoning, he was going to give this guy all he had and maybe show him that both Miss Asuka and her Fraccion were worth something. Gen wasn't going to attack first though. He wasn't a fool. Rushing in recklessly to attack someone he knew was stronger...an Espada at that. No. He was going to watch carefully and observe, and then he would make his move. He lifted his hands and drew the blades from their sheathes, holding them before him as he waited. He would have looked cocky not to have drawn them. Though, Gen wasn't the type to attack first, so he was going to turn it over to the Quinta to do so. Hopefully he wasn't too upset at Gen.

Oh. Here he was at last. Asuka's little lapdog, Gen. Rio looked at him critically, as he explained his lateness and the Quinta shrugged. "Whatever. You're here now, I suppose." He stated and his reiatsu flared to life. "Since you ARE an arrancar, I'll give you fair warning. I've got no time to waste with trash. So don't expect me to pull any punches, just because you are a Fraccion." Rio warned, before drawing one of his Sai. Even if Gen was trash, he was still an arrancar, and so Rio deemed him a worthy opponent draw his zanpakuto against. "If ya like, I'll give ya time to say you're prayers." He taunted as he suddenly lunged into action.
Rio kicked off the ground towards Gen thrusting his Sai at him. Now, Gen may have had his Hierro, which would serve to be effective. Unfortunately for Gen, Rio's physical strength outclassed his by a fair amount, so direct hits would likely still cause some damage. Especially due to Rio's Sai concentrating the Espada's vast physical strength onto a small point of impact. Rio then immediately used some of his Muay Boran, his leg whipping across to slam into Gen's thigh. He didn't realize Gen's Hierro was so advanced, but his kick would still off-balance the Fraccion. "I don't want you to disappoint me, Asuka's Fraccion! Hell, I'd love for you to prove to me that you aren't trash! It'd make this a lot more interesting!" Rio roared with a gleeful grin on his face at the prospect of battle.
Post by Gen Shizuo on Jun 29, 2011 19:22:29 GMT -5
It had begun! The Quinta said a few words before he drew his sai Then he stated that he wouldn't be pulling his punches. Gen wasn't expecing him to. That was why he knew this would be even more difficult. Rio even offered Gen a chance to say his prayers, but he wouldn't have enough time to because Rio was now moving on the offensive. He came at him thrusting his sai forward. Oh man. Gen noticed that Rio wasn't as fast as Gen would have expected him to be. He could see his movements clearly as he lunged towards him. Gen knew that the Quinta was a man who had probably experienced battle all of his life like most of the Arrancar. However, since he was one of the Espada, that meant that he had prevailed in those battles that he had fought. It meant that he had gained experience in those battles enough to surpass the Decima, the Noveno, the Octavo, the Septima, and the Sexta. With that in mind, Gen knew that he couldn't do predictable attacks in this battle. They would be countered easily.
Gen figured that Rio might be expecting a simple sidestep, but to which side, Gen couldn't know that. He didn't read minds. He only made analyses based on observations. He decided to just go on the outside of that attacking arm. He had noticed that Rio was taller as he stared at him in the distance. He knew that there was also the fact that the tallness may have been a result of the distance in between the two as well, but he could see it now as Rio came closer, and so by moving to the outside of that attacking arm, he could be safe from Rio's free arm as well as make an attack of his own. With a sidestep diagonally forward to his right (Rio's left), he positioned himself on the outside of that arm that was thrusting the sai forward. His sidestep was precise so that he could still remain close enough to Rio. While in the same sidestepping movement, he lifted his left arm and snapped it out towards Rio's face in an attempt to smash that elbow into his nose with impressive speed. This occurred right as he was sidestepping. His reason for doing this was to make his sidestep less predictable and make it as though his reason for sidestepping was for this elbow thrust. However, it was all a ruse!
Instead of continue towards Rio's nose, Gen's arm instead moved past it and over Rio's outstretched arm. He pushed down on that arm so that it was held down as he moved into his counterattack. With a small leap off the ground right as his arm went over Rio's own outstretched arm, Gen's right leg was coming in to slam into Rio's left side. This happened right as Gen was pushing Rio's arm down. With that arm being pushed down like that, if the push down did infact occur, Rio would probably be offbalanced so much that he wouldn't be able to pull off the leg whip, though Gen didn't even know it was coming. Even if he was able to pull the kick off, Gen's legs and even thigh were up in the air sideways as he executed his kick. The kick wouldn't do much but drive the Quinta back, maybe even stun him a little due to the unexpectedness from someone who Rio thought was a pacifist. That was all Gen wanted to do. If the kick had successfully gone off, then Gen would be pushed away from Rio so he could land and await Rio's next action. That was how he fought. Analyzing and observing so that he could make the correct reactions against his opponent's actions. In this battle, where he was fighting against an Espada so close to the higher tier Espada, he was going to have to do all the observing he could do.

Unfortunately, Gen had just made his first mistake. Ironically, it was by doing the right thing! Avoiding an attack by sidestepping off to the outside of the move was a textbook maneuver. Boxers utilized it to deal with punches, as to sidestep inwards would render them vulnerable to a second blow. Dodging to the outside was the "correct" thing to do. Except that Rio was a Muay Boran and Pankration master. Both utilized boxing concepts in their striking and so Rio was abundantly familiar with what Gen was attempting to pull.
So as Gen began to sidestep, Rio suddenly dragged his arm backwards, intending to strike Gen's head with the hard steel pommel of the Sai! Or... well... the giant fishbowl around his head. Either way, Gen had a very hard pommel crashing towards his head. At the same time, Rio stepped out to his right, to add momentum to his blow, but also to disrupt a potential counterattack. Gen may have been faster, but Rio's instincts were honed by centuries of battle, and these movements were second nature. It was only natural to expect a counterattack after an evasion like that, and as such Gen's attempt at pushing down Rio's arm would fail. Rio's arm was no longer where it had been before.
Now, the leg kick had not been thrown, because Gen had moved away. No point in striking at empty space. Now, as Gen threw his kick, Rio had managed to hold his balance. Due to being mid-strike he couldn't defend against the kick which collided with his midsection. Fortunately, the reverse was also true. Because Gen was in mid-kick he wouldn't be able to dodge Rio's strike aimed at his head. And because it had been launched before Gen threw his kick, Gen's higher speed wouldn't mean much. The two blows would connect at roughly the same time.
Unfortunately for Gen, upon impact, his kick made Rio's eye twitch slightly. A dark little grin crossed Rio's face. "What? Is that it?" He asked. "You'd better come up with something better than THAT Fraccion, or you're dead meat!" Rio roared, following up his Sai attack with a roundhouse kick aimed at Gen's midsection. He was going to show this Fraccion what a REAL kick felt like. And due to the extreme likeliness of his blow with the Sai landing, Gen would probably be reeling from the blow. Just because his Hierro was strong didn't mean that the force behind Rio's attacks would be negated.
Whoa. Seems like his unexpected attack had actually been expected. Rio's arm was already moving away as Gen was moving into his sidestep. However, as he was entering that sidestep, he had also been bringing his arm up for the fake elbow jab and then the transition into the arm push down. He didn't notice that the arm was already moving to his back as he was moving his arm over where that arm should have been. His speed was more than double that of Rio's own, and since he was attempting the elbow jab as he was moving into the sidestep, his arm push down would be going down as the sai pommel was reaching his head. However, since he was attempting to push down on Rio's arm as both an attempt to prevent Rio from using that arm to attack and a pushoff for his kick, he was unbalanced as he was going for the kick. This meant that he was falling, and since most of his weight had been put into pushing Rio's arm down, he was going to fall in towards the shoulder of the arm heading towards his back. This meant [iaway[/i] from the sai pommel.
His head was going to move and that sai pommel was going to graze it rather than hit it full force. Since there was space between Gen's actual head and the mask fragment covering his head, he wasn't going to be receiving the full brunt of the damage from that graze. As for Gen's kick, that was thrown off since he was unbalanced and this meant that it wouldn't cause as much damage as he had wanted it to or push Rio away like he had wanted. Now, with instinct telling him that he shouldn't be this close to Rio, Gen pushed himself clumsily away with his free right hand as he was falling so that he could move away from Rio. The push while he was still already unbalanced would mean that he was going to fall backwards. He was away from Rio now so he wouldn't have to worry about the coming kick, but there was something that he had to be more worried about. Falling to the ground against someone like Rio wasn't going to be a good thing for him, so Gen was going to do something else.
A cero was charging in his right hand as he fell. The dark green orb formed in his palm and then suddenly, it burst forth, shooting at an angle into the ground behind Rio. Since Gen's reiatsu strength was pretty high, his cero would be large. That meant that Rio's feet would also be in danger in the huge blast. The force from that was also enough to propel Gen into the air at an angle given the strength of his cero, just like one of Kuroi's fraccion, Kouen, who used cero in this same way. That huge cero blasting from his palm was going to throw up some major dirt and debris as he rocketed himself into the air like that. The pieces of dirt and debris shooting up into the air would be enough to blind Rio if he turned around to see what Gen had been up to. He would probably have to close his eyes so that the pieces of debris didn't enter them when he turned around or something. Though, he would also need to worry about his legs getting hit by the cero too.
Meanwhile, Gen was rocketed into the air at an angle so that he could land safely on both feet. While coming down after being propelled into the air, he flicked his hand towards Rio's position to send a Bala in that direction. The bala was pretty large, but Gen had aimed it towards the right side of Rio's body. If it hit, it was going to explode across that side of his body and send some powerful burns across it due to the reiatsu strength difference. It would make moving that side of his body difficult and pretty painful. With Rio's sight blocked by the dirt and debris shooting up from the cero impacting the ground, he probably wouldn't see the Bala coming in time. Then again, he also had to avoid the cero that was going to hit his feet, and when he did, that Bala was going to be coming in fast.
Gen's Remaining Reiatsu: 3250 (-200 for cero, -50 for Bala)

Hmph. A graze? Whatever. Rio stepped in after Gen, as he began to fall, raising a leg and moving to slam it down on Gen's chest, to smash him into the ground. Also, getting stomped on by Rio couldn't feel very good. The impact would cause serious stress to Gen's insides there. "Moron. That's your second mistake of the day." Rio stated in regards to Gen's choice of using a Cero. Cero were definately powerful and Gen's Cero would have caused some serious injury to Rio.
But Cero came at a cost, and that was their charge time. Rio saw the Cero charging and with the leg he had used to stomp down at Gen, he suddenly whipped it to the side to kick his arm wide, causing Gen's Cero to fire off in an unintended direction, completely missing Rio (though doing a good job of demolishing a Chinese noodle shop. Gen you monster! D:<). This would considerably mess up Gen's attempt at escaping from Rio, as his Cero had misfired, and unfortunately, this would leave him on his back, before the Espada.
Intending to move before Gen would have a chance to react, Rio snapped an arm downwards, launching a focused shockwave at Gen's chest. His shockwaves moved at speed comparable to a bala, but possessed equal strength to one of Rio's own blows. This powerful blow was aimed at Gen's chest to smash him back down again, to keep him pinned, and also to disrupt any counterattack he may have been planning. Suddenly, Rio's hand, clutching his Sai whipped forwards, attempting to drive the point directly into one of the eyeholes in Gen's mask (or if it didn't have eyeholes, then where they would have been). An arrancar's eyes unfortunately, didn't benefit from Hierro, so if Rio's blow connected, his Sai would drive itself through Gen's eye socket and into his brain killing him.
While Gen was faster than Rio, he had also fallen to the ground, meaning that his reactions would be a lot slower. Afterall, in order to evade the punishment Rio was dropping on him, he'd have to get up first, and Rio had used his shockwave to ensure that wouldn't happen, using this deadly blow with his Sai as Gen would have been recovering from the shockwave Rio had just launched. Additionally, because Rio was doing this, Gen would likely not have time to release his Bala, as he'd planned, since he hadn't escaped as he'd expected.
A Sparta kick to send Gen down to the ground? Oh man. Coming from the Quinta, that would be very troublesome and close to deadly. Gen didn't want to fall. That was why he had that cero charging to try and propel him away. In that moment, he feared for his life. He feared that hitting the ground even for a slight second would allow the Quinta to end it. Gen had incredible instinct, and when he saw that foot coming at him, his free left hand moved up and flicked towards the foot. From that flicking hand shot forth a rather large green colored bala. It was large due to Gen's high reiatsu strength, and this would allow it to hit the leg since Gen's flick had been in that general direction. That Bala was going to explode and blast the foot off as it was coming towards Gen. With no foot to kick into Gen's shooting arm, that cero was going to go off as planned, blasting into the ground and shooting Gen away. The debris from that would probably blast up and hit Rio, maybe even obscuring his view of Gen as a result. With Gen blasted away, he would still be able to shoot off that Bala in Rio's general direction.
Rio's attempt to hold Gen down with the shockwave wasn't going to work since Gen was no longer there or even on the ground as Rio had planned for him to be. Since he wasn't on the ground, Rio wouldn't be able to stab him through his eyehole either. He would be more worried about the foot that he had just lost. That was going to reduce his speed and cause blood loss. Though, he didn't just have that to worry about. There was also that Bala that was flying towards him. It was coming in fast too. If it hit, it was going to send some powerful burns across the right side of his body where Gen had aimed the Bala. The reason this one was going to send burns and not blow that arm off was because it was going to hit him from afar. The bala that Gen had flicked into Rio's foot was much closer. Pretty much point blank since Rio's foot was near Gen's chest as that Bala was shooting off. Since it was so close at that time, it would be impossible for him to even notice the flicking hand in time to come up with a defense. This was because as soon as that hand had flicked, the bala was already shooting off. A flick was a quick movement and with the speed that the Bala moved, even instincts wouldn't help him to react fast enough. There just wouldn't be enough time because the Bala was too fast. So, because it was point-blank, it was going to blow the leg off from the knee down instead of just inflict burns.

Gen's plan was a good one! And it would have worked too, if not for Rio's heightened senses. He was looking down at Gen so it wasn't hard to notice Gen's hand moving-- fast as it was. Rio acted pre-emptively, unleashing an unfocused shockwave from his leg before Gen could fire the Bala. The downside to this was it would cause Rio's leg to miss the Cero. The upside was that it didn't matter, because the shockwave would do the kick's work for it, erupting from Rio's leg at the speed of a Bala at point blank range. The shockwave would knock aside both of Gen's arms, although because of the speed which he fired his Bala at, it would still have some effect.
The bala lanced out, searing across Rio's thigh and blasting out a piece of it, causing considerable bloodloss. Rio grit his teeth angrily, glaring down at Gen. The Cero, due to the shockwave would have missed its mark, as before, and, as before, put a massive wrench in Gen's plan to use the shockwave to catapult himself away. Plus, the unfocused shockwave would have accomplished the goal Rio had originally intended his focused one to do. Smash Gen to the ground.
As before, Rio went to stomp on Gen's chest, this time emitting another unfocused shockwave from his leg to smash him down again. At point blank range, an unfocused shockwave would hurt, but it would be made worse by the fact that Gen would be unable to absorb it properly because of the street underneath him, preventing him from moving back. And combined with the force of Rio's stomp that would cause some serious injury, even with Gen's formidable Hierro. Above Gen, Rio began to charge a Cero, letting out a third unfocused shockwave on Gen to continue to prevent Gen from countering.
This time though, instead of keeping his foot down on Gen, Rio actually used the shockwave to launch him into the air, lancing his arm down to blast Gen with the Cero he'd charged. Now, Gen had nearly twice Rio's reiatsu strength, but despite that his Cero would likely cause some very unpleasant burns. And having kicked off of Gen with a shockwave, this blast was really going to hurt him. "That's the way..." Rio remarked, commenting on Gen's previous bala that had successfully injured him. "You're making this entertaining afterall! I'm glad! We can have a great time now!" Rio exclaimed with a grin.

OOC: Sorry for the major delay in modding this. I got busy.
IC: What was that?! He shot something invisible into Gen's chest! It was like a ghost kick! Gen could have sworn that Rio's foot hadn't hit him though, but yet, something pummeled him to the ground. It was so strong that it had knocked his arms aside. He wasn't able to shoot his cero off right. His bala had hit though, even if it only grazed him. At least he had inflicted some kind of wound on the Quinta. To a Fraccion that was an accomplishment. Man, the Quinta was strong though. Gen never doubted that. He was shaking in his boots as soon as he found out that he had to fight him. It was mainly because Gen had a feeling that he was going to die today. He didn't want to die though. Then he couldn't learn more stuff about the world and grow stronger.
So, Gen was knocked to the ground, but he knew something else was coming. Instincts and his fear of dying in that moment told him so. The Quinta wouldn't just knock him down for nothing. In battle, knocking your opponent to the ground always gave you the advantage. Gen would know too. He took the advantage whenever he got the chance when he was fighting other hollow for survival. So, with that in mind, even though he was in pain from the shockwave, Gen fought through it and flicked his hand towards Rio as that foot was coming down on him. Not once, but twice. His target? Rio's body, however since he was on the ground, his target would be more where Rio's waist was, but since that foot was coming down, it was going to get in the way. Since Gen's arms had been spread out as well, the Bala would be coming from the side. With Gen's high reiatsu strength, 750 to be exact, the two bala he blasted out were going to be pretty big. About half the size of Gen's body. Since Bala also moved quickly and had no charge time, it was going to intercept that foot as it was coming down.
As for Gen's second Bala, that one was going for Rio's other foot. The one he hadn't used to stomp down on Gen with. If Rio didn't find some way to counter that, he was going to lose not only that foot, but probably even the leg. Gen's Bala were pretty big. Half the size of his body in fact. If he did lose that foot or leg, he was going to be unbalanced and probably fall. With the pain from that, he might not even be able to charge his cero, however, if he did, his aim was going to be thrown off as he blasted himself into the air. Now, back to the shockwave. It seemed to bypass Gen's bala and still hit him. Right in the chest. He took the full force from that, but as for the actual stomp, if Rio's foot was blasted off like Gen was planning, he wouldn't be taking damage from that. Also, if Gen's bala did hit, Rio would probably be in too much pain to continue charging that cero. The shockwave might still be released, but that cero probably wouldn't be. The reason? Because of the pain from losing that foot and having that second Bala blast his leg off. Well, that is if those bala did end up hitting.
Gen's Remaining Reiatsu: 3100 (-100 for 2 Bala)

Rio saw Gen's hands moving. With his high senses and instinct, as well as the obvious manner in which Gen went to launch his Bala, despite having no charge time, Rio could read them very easily, by the movement of Gen's hands. "Kuh." Rio remarked suddenly launching two unfocused shockwaves, one from each foot. The one that HAD been stomping down towards Gen would produce a shockwave to smash Gen down into the ground. The other one would have a very different effect. Rio's unfocused shockwaves acted a little differently from his normal ones. This was mainly due to the difference in strength. Rio's focused shockwaves would have simply plowed through the ground. However, on both legs he was restricting the power of his shockwave so that they wouldn't be able to break the ground.
Now, Rio's shockwaves almost ALWAYS expanded to their full size, in the case of his unfocused one, it was about five meters. Also in this case, it didn't HAVE five meters to expand. In fact it didn't even have one. So it would compensate by blasting the force back at Rio. Translation. Rio was using his own shockwaves to launch himself out of the way of Gen's attacks. Since Rio's shockwaves also moved at Bala speeds, and he'd begun them as soon as Gen had begun to react. So it was only natural that he'd be out of the way by the time Gen launched his bala. Rio was launched backwards, landing a fair distance from Gen.
"Not bad, not bad." Rio commented, watching the bala blast through the space his legs had previously occupied. He snapped his arm forwards to blast Gen with a focused shockwave this time, intending to hit Gen as he got up. The shockwave was about the size of Rio's fist, so it was very concentrated and would probably smash Gen back a fair distance. And although it wouldn't break his Hierro, it'd still likely rattle him. Also, the unfocused shockwave he'd used on Gen to launch himself off of the arrancar might have caused some level of discomfort as well.
Post by Gen Shizuo on Jul 30, 2011 12:53:35 GMT -5
Get up! Get up! Get up! Gen's body screamed at him to get up. That last shockwave that Rio had used to propel himself away from Gen really messed him up. It made his body ache and scream with incredible pain. He didn't like this pain at all. Not one bit. His instincts were screaming at him to get up. It was kind of like when animals knew that a storm or other natural disaster was coming. Gen's instincts, which were greater than a wild animals, were telling him to move before he was wrecked by the disaster coming his way in the form of that shockwave. He had to move!
So, with that said, Gen turned his left palm towards the ground and held the hand above it. Then he released from that hand...you know it. Another Bala. This one wasn't to attack. Instead, it was meant to propel Gen away like that cero was supposed to earlier. Gen's Bala were huge! Half the size of his body right? And with the explosive power from something like that, he was going to propel himself to his right in a horizontal spin away from the shockwave that was heading towards him. Rio's shockwaves moved at the speed of Bala right? So that meant Gen's bala would hit the ground at the same time as the shockwave reached Gen. Well actually, since Gen used the Bala to get up when he heard Rio's comment, he was going to be blasted out of the way before the shockwave reached since it would be launched near the same time Gen launched his Bala. Though turning his palm was a faster movement than snapping an arm forward. That meant his was going to be launched first.
Gen's body would be ringing with an incredible amount of pain as he twisted in the air to land on his feet. Mainly his chest where that last shockwave hit. He couldn't keep fighting the Quinta Espada like this. He wasn't strong enough to fight an Espada in sealed form. What had he been thinking? Gen turned towards Rio and looked up while dragging his right arm in a quick motion to his side. Earlier, he had dropped his blade, but since the chain was attached to his arm, he was able to easily recover it. He caught the blade as he spoke to Rio in that moment.
"Why do you look down on Miss Asuka and I so much? What makes people look down on others anyway?" Gen finally spoke in regards to Rio's constant comments about his fighting ability throughout the battle. Gen wasn't going to attack right now. Instead, he drew his second blade and held it in his left hand. It was better to let the Quinta attack while he recovered from those earlier shockwaves hitting him. So, while he waited on Rio's response, he was already focusing on his reiatsu, preparing it to use quickly for an attack from Rio. He didn't charge it, but he was ready if an attack did come.

Rio watched as Gen kicked himself up to his feet. The Espada cracked his neck a bit. "I'll give you credit, you're putting up more of a fight than I thought you would, but you're still pretty damn rough." He stated. "Still, that's a nice reiatsu ya got. Might even be higher than mine. But if you don't use it right it's useless." He started to advance on Gen as the Fraccion asked him why he looked down on him, as well as why people looked down on others?
Rio scoffed. "I look down on you because you're weak, that's all. In you it's forgivable. You're only a Fraccion afterall. You're still trash, but at least you're an arrancar. Everyone starts off as trash. Occasionally ya just got guys like me who managed to crawl outta the scrap heap and actually accomplish something." Rio made an animalistic growl, as he approached Gen. Suddenly he stomped in anger, causing a massive crater in the ground where he stomped. In fact, the instant Rio stomped, the ground itself shook like a miniature earthquake, potentially off-balancing Gen and giving Rio an opening to slam his fist forwards to launch another focused shockwave to smash into Gen's chest.
"And then ya got people like the Noveno Espada." Rio spat the word like a curse. "They act like they've climbed out. They act like they're different from the rest of the trash. But ya know what? They're not. Just because you have a nice title doesn't mean shit. Which pisses me off. The title of Espada used to actually mean something. Now, it's practically a prize that anyone seems to be able to grab. It's people like the Noveno Espada that are proof of that!" Rio snapped at Gen. "THAT is why I look down on you. And why I despise the likes of her. She's too soft to be an Espada. The damn woman struggles to bring herself the likes of a shinigami. How can something so soft be considered one of our ten strongest!?" Rio hissed.
"Any other questions before I tear your head off?" Rio asked savagely, a furious look in his eyes. Seemed he'd used his own monologue as a method of psyching himself up! Uh oh! Gen would have to be careful. When Rio got angry, all bets were off. He couldn't ever restrain himself when he got angry.
