This is a thread for the newly appointed, Squad 11, third seat member Shade Kawada. Seeing as he has made it his next target Zieg Revolver, he would have to see what the vice captain was capable of. Luckily, Zieg was already a step ahead, and has issued a sparring match to the male shinigami, the two shall meet in the courtyard of the Squad 11 Barracks, right by the Dojo in which Zieg had created and combat.
This thread has no special terms, handicaps, conditions, or wagers. It's NDE and is mainly to introduce the two characters and also obtain CTP which shall be given upon completion of the thread. Expected to be about three to six pages long.

Shade Kawada strolled into the squad 11 barracks, his bleeding blade was sheathed at his side. A steady stream of blood seeped through the hole at the end of the sheath. He was here to fight. Buraindo Kira, Shade’s zanpakutou, was quite pleased when he heard of his master’s sparring match. It would be a chance for him to drink new blood. “Oh how fun!” exclaimed the bloodthirsty zanpakutou spirit, “I can’t wait for that motherfucker to show up!” Shade’s calculating eyes drifted down towards the form of his sword. His zanpakutou was insatiable.
Shade recalled the day he attained shikai and met Buraindo Kira for the first time. He was shocked when his zanpakutou spoke with such aggression to him and was even more shocked when he asked him to cut himself. Shade recalled the countless fights he got into for the soul purpose of feeding his zanpakutou blood. He didn’t regret hurting anyone, in fact, he felt nothing about all the trouble he’d caused for people. He was a shinigami for one purpose only, to rid the world of everything he deemed imperfect.
So Shade waited for Zieg Revolver to arrive. His hand drifted over the handle of his zanpakutou and he strolled into the middle of the battlefield. What kind of power did the lieutenant hold? Would he be weak against Buraindo Kira or would Zieg’s zanpakutou hold abilities that put his bloodthirsty sword to shame? Shade was eager to gauge himself against a worthy opponent. Hopefully he would find out just how much he had to improve in this fight. So Shade closed his eyes in meditation as he awaited his vice captain.

Suddenly, the door leading inward to the 11th barrack's dojo flung up, Zieg stood on the steps of the 11th division dojo, looking directly at his opponent. He was wearing his black-sleeveless vice captain uniform but it was completely transformed, Zieg having given it custom detail. There was now a black, adjustable hood at the back with pirate skull and cross bones out on the front of it. Bellow it, he had stitched the emblem of the 11th division, very similar to his hoodie . He had various tribal-style tattoos across his body, mainly his arms, legs and chest. He was also wearing a pair of small golden earrings on both ears, two on each ear right beside eachother on the lower lube. He is also wearing a pair of jeans with odd markings on both the knee and ankle areas. He has faint shadows right under both eyes and his mouth is constantly seen in a smile but not a exaggerated one, simply a unusual one. He also appears to have dark black hair, a majority of which is obscured by the northern-style hat that he is wearing. On his left hand, he has the word "CHAOS" tattooed on his knuckles. Each letter of the word is on a separate knuckle, spelling out the word Chaos and is in all caps. On his right hand the word "PEACE" is also tattooed on his knuckles in the same fashion as his left hand.. Right below his wrists is a large schematized virus also tattooed. However, the center of it resembles a grin. He was also wearing a black, hard leather gunslinger belt around his waist, mainly to give him something to place his revolvers in. The belt fitted firmly around his waist and consistent of two holsters for his shikai, with just enough space for them to fit but would have to be drawn out by hand for them to come out. Various crimson red and aqua blue detailed markings spirals around the entire belt.
His zanpakuto, a nodachi, was in his right hand already as he twirled it around inbetween his fingers with ease. It wasn't too impressive, though it was quite larger then an average katana but not too large in which Zieg could not wield it with one hand. Cracking his neck from side to side gradually, he advanced forward at an average pace, making his way down the steps and to Shade. His eyes flickered up and down, analyzing the newly appointed third seat officer. He had heard that this guy had taken out the lower seats, one by one, so Zieg could only assume that his goals were sighted on the vice captain. He had to admit, this guy did look to be one who would fight his way to the top. "Oi, oi, so you are Shade, you certainly look the part." Zieg stated coldly, his unusual smile on his face. It never changed, once, as if it was set in stone. "Caution Zieg, I would not attempt to trifle with this one. He knows as much about you as you do him." A mellow-toned, feminine voice warned him inside of his mind. This of course was a zanpakuto spirit, Soshi, one in which represented the calm nature of Zieg. Unknowingly to Shade, Zieg had two sides to him. One in which he acted eerie mellow, though this did not effect any of his actions. The other side, the exact polar opposite. Brutal, savage, unrelenting, chaotic, this basically summed it up. "Who cares!? All he needs to know is the color of this bastard's blood!!!" A second, almost childish, voice laughed in his mind. Speaking of chaotic sides Tanjuu, his second spirit, had given her opinion on the situation. He noted their words, grasping both his hands onto the handle of his zanpakuto as he held it infront of, shifting his footing so he stood shoulder-width apart.

“Oi, oi, so you are Shade, you certainly look the part,” The ghastly san-seki turned to face his superior. Shade hardly ever used the sleeves of his trench coat. The shinigami simply allowed the jacket to drape over his shoulders like a cape. “Zieg Revolver...” said Shade as his eyes narrowed on his superior, “You summoned me.” Shade knew full well why he was here, but he thought it better for his superior to initiate the battle. He harbored no hate for this man, he was simply an obstacle in his way to becoming a captain. “FINALLY! I’m starving dammit!” screeched Buraindo Kira, “Now... GO SHADE!” But Shade didn’t move, he only glared at the vice-captain. Shade’s calculating eyes observed every inch of his soon-to-be opponent.
“What’s the matter?! He’s right there!!! KILL HIM YOU PUSSY!!!” ordered the zanpakutou. But Shade paid no attention to his whiny sword spirit. Buraindo Kira would be fed blood this fight one way or another. “I think we both know why we’ve come here...” said the san-seki, “I abhor conversation, so you’ll forgive me if I wish to get started quickly.” The shinigami’s hand slid his zanpaktou out of his sheath around an inch or two, ready to be drawn at a moment’s notice. A pool of blood had already formed underneath the third seat. A result of his continuously bleeding sealed zanpakutou.
Shade stood and waited for the lieutenant to make his move. He was not the kind of man to waste time on idle chit chat. Shade was a man of action, a type of man that wasted not a single minute on trivial activities such as love, fun, or imagination. It was as if the world was in black and white to Shade. There was right, and there was wrong. There were things that benefitted his goals and things that didn’t.

"Read my mind." Zieg replied, his unusual smile turning into a teeth bearing green as noticeably, his eyes shifted from their deep aqua blue color to a radiating orange. "Oi, I thought I told you to be careful!" Soshi scolded him in his mind, Zieg letting his more chaotic side come into play. "I know, but I need to put up a powerful offense on him." He explained to his, spinning his blade once before resuming his two handed guard infront of him. He was assumed that by the size of Shade's blade, he was pretty power, but he wouldn't be sure until he confronted him in combat. Without further delay, Zieg charged straight forward, advancing at the male shinigami. He slashed furiously at the torso of Shade, trying to cut open his chest. The attack would be rather fast, Shade being able to tell Zieg was faster then him so a dodge was unlikley. However, no doubt, the male was not choosing to dodge, since he seemed like the type to just block the blows. Following up the slash, Zieg moved in a circularly pattern around Shade, slashing several times at his torso with swift, powerful slashes.

In an instant Zieg charged him. It was quickly apparent to Shade who was faster. Zieg launched an onslaught of strikes against the larger of the two. Shade was able to identify every attack as it came careening towards his figure. With textbook movements the callous soul reaper parried each of his lieutenant’s strikes. The third seat could feel the difference in speed and it was clear that he couldn’t keep up blocking forever against his vice-captain. But this fight was just beginning and Shade noticed the difference in weight and strength as well. The muscles he acquired by wielding his ultra-heavy shikai would serve him well against Zieg. Shade greeted one of Zieg’s swings with his own in an attempt to bat his vice captain’s zanpakutou away.
Immediately after attempting to use his strength to smack the blade away and perhaps knock Zieg off balance, Shade would close in on the lieutenant with his left hand clenched in a fist. Using all his strength Shade would throw a punch at Zieg’s stomach, his eyes narrowing on his target with a merciless gaze. Right now Shade was only concentrating on one thing, and that one thing was “winning.” He wasn’t here to make friends and believed that if the vice-captain was weak enough to die by his hand then he wasn’t fit to be vice-captain at all. The man’s conscience was practically non-existent. Zieg would be wise to not count on mercy; but what squad 11 shinigami counted on that in the first place?
Post by Zieg Revolver on Apr 19, 2011 10:35:47 GMT -5
Zieg was enjoying this, it has been a long while since he had a worthy shinigami opponent to combat. The last two shinigami he had fought were Zanken and Hara. Hara had immense strength, but he lacked the speed and experience to use it in their sparring match so Zieg was able to utilize his own speed and strength to his advantage. Zanken was smarter though, proving to be of equal strength to Zieg and providing him with a challenge. It seems Shade was going to provide the same, if not greater, challenge then Zanken did. Of course, these fights were only partially serious and they had not aimed to kill, mainly using hand to hand combat to fight each other. Now, Shade was Zieg's first dueling opponent and aimed to make a statement of why he was the vice captain. Seeing his opponent perform a counter-swing with his massive sword, Zieg bent his knees down to shift his weight downward, locking his elbows against his sides and tightening the grip on his zanpakuto as the two blades collided. This did indeed intercept his attack and also caused Zieg to skid back across the ground moving his blade to side of Zieg though his preparations allowed him to mantain balance.
Zieg's grin widened as he saw Shade charge forward, aiming to punch Zieg's now unguarded stomach. He though, made no move to intercept or counter the punch, rather he moved straight into the incoming Shinigami suddenly, driving his head forward and slamming his forehead against Shade's to before a brutal headbutt. An exchange of blows would occur then, Zieg taking the blow to the stomach while at the same time collided heads with Shade, most likely dizzying the two combatants. His grin would remain unchanged, though his right eye twitched a bit with pain as he staggered back from his opponent, shaking his head after a few seconds and shifted his foot so he stood with his left foot forward, raising his blade back up infront of him. He then rapidly dashed forward, turning his blade so the tip was aimed right for Shade's face. After performing this attack, he turned his hips leftward, lifting his right leg up and turning it so the front of his leg was aiming to colliding with Shade's left hip, issuing a roundhouse kick to him.

Shade’s plan went nearly without a hitch and he considered it a success as his fist sunk into Zieg’s soft stomach. But the vice-captain wasn’t about to go down without a fight. Shade saw the lieutenant’s head rocket towards his own. Unable to stop anything Shade took the blow to his own forehead. The head-butt stung and caused the san-seki’s head to bleed in the center of his head, but his face remained expressionless. He merely took a few steps back. But Zieg wasn’t done there; despite the punch in the gut the lieutenant was still ready to go. Shade stood, facing his opponent waiting for him to make his move again. Chasing him would be pointless and simply a waste of energy. As long as Zieg was forced to bring the fight to him then Shade believed he had the upper hand.
Sure enough the vice-captain charged Shade with his blade pointed at his face. It was easy for the san-seki to move his head out of the way and dodge the attack, but that wasn’t all. As soon as the vice-captain missed with his first attack he pivoted on his feet and sent his leg flying into the san-seki’s midsection. “Oof!” grunted Shade as the lieutenant’s foot slammed into his ribcage. The difference in weight allowed the third-seat to stumble only a few steps before regaining his balance, but by then he’d grabbed at Zieg’s leg and attempted to put it under his arm. He would have the vice-captain anchored now. All he needed to do was finish things!
Without any expression the shinigami took his bleeding katana and brought it slicing down at the lieutenant’s leg. The sealed zanpakutou flew quickly as Shade swung with the full intention of cleaving his superior’s leg off. For if the vice-captain was put out of commission then he would be up for a promotion! Shade was willing to do ANYTHING to achieve this goal. He believed that everyone else’s sacrifices would be for the greater good if he could “perfect” the world around him.

Good news and bads news. One, Zieg's attacks had gone through as he anticipated, both successfully landing. Bad news was, Zieg had not anticipated Shade to grab his leg, in which Shade would catch for this reason. With this, Zieg had to think fast and use his own strengths to get out of this predicament. Luckily, he had exactly what he needed to literally halt Shade in his place. "Bakudo number nine, Geki!" Zieg suddenly exclaimed, taking his right hand off of his zanpakuto and aiming at Shade before he casted the kido. Zieg had time to do this namely for one reason, Shade could use only one hand right now to swing his blade down to chop off his leg. He'd catch him right in time though, in the middle of the chopping motion downward to lop off his leg. The kido enveloped Shade in a bright red glow and froze his entire body. This now only had a few seconds to act. Performing a stabbing motion, he brought his own blade between Shade's arm where he had captured the leg and the leg, pulling back and forcing his blade to push his arm away as it pressed against it. Right when he had enough room, he retracted it back as he slid backwards, placing it on the ground as he sighed in relief. By this time, Shade would be released from the kido. Zieg positioned his blade so the edge of it faced Shade once again, his grin now off his face and his unusual smile has returned, which would naturally give Shade an eerie feeling. Noticeably also, his eyes had shifted back into their aqua blue color. What could this clarify?

Shade’s mind worked like a supercomputer as the kick hit him in his ribs. He would make this a battle of strength and size by grabbing on to Zieg’s leg and attempting to cleave it off with his blade. At this second his mind finally finished it’s intense calculating. There was nothing Zieg could do to prevent his leg from being chopped off! He had won! But as the san-seki went to separate the man’s leg from his body his actions were halted by a kidou spell. The third-seat struggled to turn his head and face his enemy as Zieg freed himself and regained his balance. Kidou was the last thing Shade would have expected from the vice-captain of squad 11. This development made all of his previous calculations null and void. He would have to begin his process of thinking from the beginning considering the fact that Zieg was a capable user of kidou.
“Kidou isn’t a typical weapon for a shinigami of squad 11 to have in their arsenal,” commented Shade as he glared at the lieutenant, “Why does someone like you deserve to be my superior?” The san-seki asked his question devoid of any expression. It was almost as if he was making a statement or pondering it to himself rather then waiting for an answer from Zieg. “I cannot accept you as my superior...” said Shade as his reiatsu spiked, unleashing the dark aura it possessed, “Or rather, I cannot allow someone like you to be my superior... I am to be the strongest shinigami there ever has been...” With a single fluid motion Shade brought his thumb to his bleeding forehead and wiped a droplet of blood that had traveled from the wound. The next instant Shade placed his thumb on the flat of his zanpakutou and spread the blood downwards towards the tip of the blade. His eyes, drifted from his bloody katana to his vice-captain holding a glare so intense, one would swear it held emotion. But Shade’s heart was as empty as the sheath on his waist.
“Drink... BURAINDO KIRA!!!” in an instant a mouth formed in the center of the bloody blade. In a disgusting display, the sword’s mouth began vomiting a bloody mess of flesh, veins, and things that appeared to be organs which covered the blade and transformed it into a huge, 120-pound zweihander with a mouth in the center of the mess of bloody flesh. Shade spun the shikai around his wrist as if it weighed next to nothing, raised it at arms length, and pointed it at Zieg. “Now... let’s take this fight to the next level, vice-captain Revolver...”

Zieg oddly did not show any emotional reaction to the blatant points Shade made at Zieg using kido. True, it was not typical for their division to use kido, however it was more so uncommon. Their captain, Saix, had used kido previously before, in an engagement with one of the Ogatato that had threatened to destroy Soul Society and take over basically. Uncommon, yes, but not completely and Zieg was known as the sole member of his squad that utilized kido. Why was it? Because it was one of his biggest strengths and it could deal heavy damage if it connected properly. "I use kido because it is my strength. Sure, I can hold my own in swordplay if I desire, but you wonder why I am the vice captain. Because..." Zieg stated cooly, his strange, mellow eyes locked firmly with the malevolent and cold glare of the male shinigami before him. His zanpakuto suddenly flared with white light, consuming the blade entirely. Here it comes, his shikai was about to be revealed.
"Lock and Load, Soshi Tanjuu!" He barked, the light consumed blade suddenly flashing and splitting off into a pair of revolvers, the light instantly dimming and revealing them to be silver. Each had appeared in his hands, in which he rapidly whirled them around his fingers in a gunslinger-like fashion. This was the main reason Revolver was his last name, it had become his favorite weapon and it had manifested itself in shikai. "I refuse to give up to those who bring their blades against my revolvers." Zieg oddly stated with a calm tone, turning so his left side faced Shade and he aimed his left revolver straight at him. It was just basically strange the way he was acting now. Calm, cool, collective, this described him best in this state of mind he was at. "If you think me unworthy of my position, come at me, from any direction." He growled lowly at his challenger. Oh, now he was tempting Shade. Zieg then fired off a single, condensed, bullet of reiatsu straight at Shade, the bullet moving at a stat speed of 400. Way to fast for Shade to possibly dodge, he needed to block it with that massive blade of his!

The san-seki observed with reserved curiosity as Zieg released his zanpakutou in turn. To the san-seki’s dismay they took the form of long range weapons. This would turn into a game of cat and mouse, with the mouse launching projectiles at the cat as he ran. “I refuse to give up to those who bring their blades against my revolvers,” said the lieutenant as he squared off with Shade, “If you think me unworthy of my position, come at me, from any direction.” The vice-captain was a fool. Shade didn’t need to be told such nonsense. He would have taken the first chance he got to attack Zieg. Lieutenant Revolver let off a single shot aimed at the third seat, which flew through the air at immense speed. As the lieutenant predicted Shade simply moved his huge zweihander in between his body and the bullet, stopping it easily.
Shade would need to get close if he wanted to do any real damage, but didn’t want reveal his sword’s abilities just yet. Using his sword as a shield, the san-seki charged at the lieutenant, keeping his eyes on both gun barrels. In an instant the third-seat disappeared in a shunpo, only to reappear directly above Zieg in full swing. The third seat aimed his crushing zweihander at the vice-captain’s head as he fell to the ground, giving his downward slash the extra momentum it needed to break through any defense Zieg could put up. Buraindo Kira was a monstrous shikai, that much was clear, but would Zieg be so dumb as to attempt a block? Shade hoped so.

When the bullet impacted onto Shade's enourmous blade, deeply sink into his flesh-like blade. Due to the immense reiatsu strength difference, his bullets had nearly been forced through the blade but luckily, it stayed intact. Zieg lowered his left revolver down at his sides, staring forward as he watched Shade vanish from sight. His eyes flickered around a bit, looking for the shunpoing shinigami. Then, he spotted it, a large shadow had formed on the ground infront of him. Glancing up, he saw Shade crashing down from the air, knowing too well he couldn't block a blade that size anyway. He swiftly vanished from sight, using a shunpo of his own, and in a split second appeared about a foot in a half from where he was just standing, facing in that direction. Now, he would be facing the back of Shade, completely open, but he did not choose to fire. Instead, he swept his right revolver forward and crashed it against the back of the head of Shade, mainly with the barrel. "I do not wish to harm you, Shade Kawada, but if you continue to provoke me, I will take the necessary measures to break you. I don't care if you won't accept me or not." Zieg growled lowly, his eyes shifting into a dark orange color as he took a single step back to position himself squaring off against the shinigami. Well this wasn't good news for Shade to hear from the vice captain. It looked like he was getting ready to go on the complete offensive again and end this fight soon.

Shade’s shikai created a huge crater in the ground as it collided with the floor. The lieutenant dodged by using shunpo to transport himself behind the san-seki. Shade knew exactly where Zieg had placed himself and sensed the attack heading in his direction. As the barrel of the gun collided with the back of his head, Shade spun his head around the strike without skipping a beat.
(Similar to what L did to counter Light’s second punch in the anime Death Note)
Immediately he was face to face with his vice-captain, and he reached out and grabbed his clothes with his left hand. Shade held him with all his might as he prepared his next attack. With a tug he brought his shikai in a horizontal sweep that would cleave the lieutenant in two if it connected. The shikai had the ability to tear through any defense that the vice-captain would be able to put up in such a short time. Would he force Zieg to use the same tired kidou spell again? Shade hoped that his lieutenant would give him a better fight then that.

Zieg was surprised the 3rd seat was able to counter his attack in such a fashion which Zieg had not anticipated. Still, was not worried in his current trapped state. Why was this? Because he had a way out of the grab. Right when he was grabbed, he glanced down and flicked his wrists upward to aim both his revolvers at the bundled up part of his clothing in which Shade held him by, he pulled the triggers and fired off two bullets of reiatsu at both his hand and the bundle since they were so close together. One bullet pierced through the majority of the bundled clothing, allowing it to tear off from Zieg while the other bullet shot through his hand instantly due to the close range. As soon as he fired, he pulled back with his body, so when the bullet tore through most of the trapped clothing, his weight did the rest of the work and released him from Shade's hold. He then slammed right down onto his back on the ground, narrowly dodging the blade as it passed over him a split second from severing him perfectly in half. The force of him pulling back and his overall speed was the only reason he was able to dodge the technique in such a fashion. Without pause, he aimed his right revolver at the right side Shade's stomach and pulled the trigger, firing one last round at him, not as close as the previous bullets but still at a melee range. However, Zieg had aimed purposely to not wound the shinigami severely, grazing against Shade's side, though it would cause a sharp pain to appear in that region.
Afterwards, he shoved off into a side roll, then rolled forward into a crouching position and turned swiftly to face the 3rd seat shinigami. "Hm, close one, you are indeed a troublesome opponent to fight up close. Times I wish you were more like the captain's blade Soshi." Zieg sighed out, glancing down at his left revolver. Well he hadn't said that he wouldn't fight up close, that was a good sign at least. However, it should be noted that he only addressed on one of his spirits, not both. Was it that he desired both a blade and a revolver as his shikai? There was always of course, at the sacrifice of losing one weapon to create a blade in which could fire bullets. A gunblade, but unless there was a way for Zieg to retrain and reform his shikai, he had to stick with his ranged weapons. "Now listen to me, kid." Zieg stated, placing both of his revolvers in the holsters that were strapped to his sides. Kid? But Zieg only looked a few years older then Shade! Unless... exactly how old was Zieg? Thats right, he was actually over 100 years old, 103 actually. "I have seen the strongest among the shinigami, I have fought against opponents that I couldn't beat, I have survived these battles and have striven to become stronger. Though I have, I too yearn for more power then I currently have, and that takes time. You do have potential, I see that, and yes you might even hold the position of vice captain in the future. However, the way you are now, you have a ways to go until that becomes a reality, its just the way it is." Zieg spoke, lightly placing his right hand on his northern style, bowl-cut hat. Odd, that the hat had not moved at all during the fight, even when he had fallen onto his back. He pulled lightly on the hat, lowering it down to shade his eyes. "Now, if you are done trying to kill me, follow me." Zieg turned around suddenly and gradually walked back to the steps of the dojo, ascending up there. Now, it was up to Shade, follow the man that he refused to accept as the vice captain, leave the area or do something of his own. Anyway, the choice was up to him.
