Well he was getting around the area once again, the same area that he had been only a couple weeks ago with Zadora and Lolth, the same area that the Shinigami had attacked all of them in. He knew it wasn't a good idea, but he had returned with two bucks over his right shoulder. The last time they had all come together as a group looking for things that they could get by trading with the humans that lived under the rule of the Shinigami.
Rafael knew that Lolth had taken a liking to a instrument that seemed like a guitar. Honestly though he couldn't really tell the difference he just hoped he could find it again. Then all he knew was that Zadora wanted to try and see about getting the beans to make coffee. The only problem with that was though they didn't possess any sort of pot, heater or cups. Just more that he would have to try and trade for if he wanted to bring them back. As for himself . . . well he didn't need anything. He was just curious and wanted to make his friends happy.
He had to try and be alert and ready though. Last time the Shinigami had shown up accusing them of stealing the game that had only been killed a few hours earlier. He was doing the same thing as last time and he knew just how stupid doing it was. He really just wanted to make them happy though. He was fairly confident that if they showed up again he would be fine. Although losing two more bucks simply because they wouldn't listen to reason would be incredibly frustrating.

Ajraka had taken up occupation of the area not too long ago. The ship was a good ways away and her crew was already making contact with the local villages. She came to this place often enough as it were, ,getting supplies and the like. She usually went to the world of the living for this sort of thing, but well, with the loss of her hollow crew, the crew was more living than dead now, though she still did have a few floundered shinigami with her. And so spiritual food still had to be on the menu. And sadly they didn't eat hollow meat.
She was adorned in her usual outfit. A chinese style attire, a sort of mix between a gi and a dress as well as that noble cape wrapped around her shoulders. It was a cape generally worn by nobles, and well, her reputation was widespread enough through SOME circles that she was generally recognized. With her crew busy off in the distance, she was content to survey the surrounding area. And it was in this surveying that she spotted something interesting. A Beast Clan? A bit odd to see them this close to soul society.
She was about to imagine that he might get harassed, but well, she had hung around here fairly often in her younger days. Most instances the shinigami kept an eye on her, but they never really went out of their way to bother her. So she was....mildly intrigued to see the feline. All it took was a little burst of speed and she was calmly walking behind the feline, stealthily slipping behind him and tilting her head as she watched him. He did seem a bit more intelligent. Maybe a bit less so than Zahra, but probably a bit more bright than Nesr.
"Sup? Whatcha got there?" She asked as she lightly poked him in the side and smiled. She absolutely towered over him. Being just about ten feet tall, she was almosrt twice his size to say the least, and she was dressed importantly as well. No doubt he would have been hard pressed to find someone more...imposing than her. She used her tail to lightly poke at his lower back, lightly testing his ability to stay upright, using a small ammount of strength. Just to see about how strong he was, starting gently, and applying more and more pressure.
She wondered, is he strong? Is he smart? She was curious to say the least, but she was trying to hold back, knowing that she could be a bit...much at times, so rather than spook the feline, she was trying to use her usual shinigami act. Or close to it. She did get more excited and animate around the whole other Beastclan thing. She almost sniffed him. Almost. Like, surely that wouldn't be weird right? She decided to relax and wait. If he sniffed her first, then she would sniff him back.
This was becoming quite annoying. All of the vendors were starring at him much the same way that they had done the last time he was here. He questioned whether or not they believed he would simply take whatever he wanted because he was so much bigger than them. It was strangely depressing. Rafael felt hate towards almost anything that looked human because of what had been done to him yet knowing that they saw as as a threat and really just a bully gave him the feeling perhaps he was wrong.
He had to find a vendor that was interesting in trading for the bucks. Although wait there was a better idea! What if he could find a meat vendor and sell him the bucks. "Wait what do they use for money? Gold? Silver? Where would I keep it I don't have pants. Not that I would be able to find any that fit. Maybe a pouch?" Rafael thought to himself as he continued to walk through the streets only to sense something behind him. He didn't feel energy, but he felt a presence and then he smelled what made him think of a Beast.
He then felt a poke to his side which caused him to stop walking and turn around. This was one of the first times since his second chance had started that he actually had to look up at someone else. He didn't have to look up a lot, but quite a bit all the same. Perhaps this was how Zadora and Lolth saw him. Rafael though wasn't sure how he should feel about what he was seeing in front of him now.
It was a female Beast that much he was certain. The way that she was dressed though reminded him for some reason about the Shinigami. She wasn't wearing the black robes that they all wore, but she had the aura. Perhaps she was a princess of a pack that had an alliance with the Shinigami. Either way Rafael couldn't feel like he was comfortable with knowing a Beast allied themselves with Shinigami after everything he had been through and seen them do to Beasts. He wasn't here to cause problems though.
"Just some deer. Looking to get a few things." He heard something and then felt this girls tail pushing against his back like she wanted to get him closer to her. She was pretty, but he wasn't the type to go for just anyone. Not to mention a romance was something that he had absolutely no experience in and didn't want to at the moment. She would find that after the first bit she couldn't move him. Rafael had his footing and wouldn't budge. "Isn't that kinda rude? Not much of a greeting." Rafael extended his left paw. "I'm Rafael what's your name?"

Funnily enough, she was not poking him towards her, as she had been behind him when she had greeted him, and was thus poking him like a normal otter. Jeez! But all the same, she lifted a brow slightly at him saying she was rude? From a beast clan? Immediately she felt a glaring disappointment in the male and it showed on her face as she frowned and furrowed her brows. And here she was hoping she could just relax. Yeesh. With that general lack of enthusiasm, she made not of his name, folding her arms a little as she immediately felt like just ditching him. She'd been hoping for something more familiar, not often beast clan saw eachother outside of the wilderness! Ugh, where was Zahra when she needed them?
"Ugh, what a killjoy." She murmured and shook her head, her tail idly swishing as she seemed to lose much of her enthusiasm. "Ajraka." She grumbled, looking around as if to try and find some OTHER Beast Clan he might be affiliated with that she could talk to instead, but alas she didn't see or hear anyone. "Well you seem...busy, and very un-fun. So I'm gonna just pretend I didn't seeya and head back to my ship." She murmured and promptly slipped around him, heading for her ship at a calm pace.
She really wasn't interested in dealing with some stick in the mud. Maybe she'd go and look around Umaroth's old town? The kids in that village at least were the type to play around with her, and a smile actually returned to her at the notion of getting to play around with the kiddos again. Not to mention, he had killed a couple deer hadn't he? Maybe she could find some game and bring them to the village herself as a present.
It really was a strange sight to see another Beast dressed like a princess yet it was stranger still to see that his little comment regarding her touching him, being rude visibly shifted her emotions. The woman had appeared to be in a good mood yet immediately she crossed her arms and made it more than obvious that she didn't like being called out for something like that. Was she a Beast or a pampered princess? God could she be both?
"Killjoy really! She touched me. Someone isn't dressed right." Thought Rafael confused as to what was going on. He wanted to get to know this woman as he had still only met a dozen or so other Beasts in the last six months, but her interest in speaking to him was oppressively diminished. One little comment and she was ready to run off. "Skoll's an ass and yet I think I'd rather deal with his mouth than this attitude." She introduced herself as Ajraka, a very unique name. Yet she just kept making it more apparent that she didn't like him and she was in fact rather rude.
It wasn't long before Ajraka started to walk away saying how she was going to pretend she didn't see him and go on her way. Well this was definitely new. Some of the Beasts he had met were mean, but none of them were quite like this. Perhaps being around Shinigami had turned her into a bitch? He had to give her a chance though. Perhaps he had just given her the wrong impression of him. "Ajraka, do you know meat vendor? Interested in buying or trading for meat? What's this about ship? I don't see sea or ocean nearby."
