Kazura awoke with a sore neck and an aching back. Because he was unconscious, it was like no time had passed for him, yet now the sun was setting through the small window in his office. Standing up and stretching out his back and neck, Kazura noticed that Irina was asleep in his chair and that they were somehow in his office. He took a look at his door and found traces of reiatsu on the lock from when the other fullbringer had used Soul Command to open it up. Curious, he thought about how to fix that. He would need a soul command proof lock, for sure. He got out a sketch pad from his desk, careful to not wake Irina up just yet as she looked very peaceful while asleep.
First he started with the regular key lock. The tumblers inside would need to be made up of Soul Fiber steel imbued with Kazura's full might so that it would take considerable reiatsu strength to be able to even move them with Soul command but they'd be just fine to be physically moved by the key. He also decided that it would be too easy to reach out to the far side of the knob and unlock the door by simply turning the bolt, like Irina had done, so this new lock would require the key to both lock and unlock the door from both sides. There also needed to be a fail safe. By placing a small hearing aid sized reiatsu battery into the body of the knob, if something tried to manipulate the tumblers with reiatsu they'd trip the battery which would flood the lock and slam all of the tumblers shut. It would require a separate key to reset the lock before it could be opened at all even with the proper key.
Sure, this level of security would probably result in Kazura locking himself out of the office a few times before he got it right, but he was convinced that in the worse case scenario, by memorizing the tumbler pattern of the key he could instead use his Omni Watch in place of holding a physical key. The tool would become the key that he would use to lock and unlock the door. Satisfied that he had increased the security of his office, Kazura slowly moved aside Irina's chair so he could take a look at what she had been working on. He saw plenty of spreadsheets, many of which were based on Hollow attacks. He made a mental note to take a look at her research later. But first he had to wake her up. They had a race tomorrow and they should get some sleep in their proper beds before they started any rumors about an improper relationship.
