These are my favorite 10 anime, in order from 10 to 1. I'll be providing short summaries and review on them.
10. Gundam 00 - Now, while most Gundam fans may shiver a bit at this anime, it's actually pretty good. Alright, the main character isn't likable AT ALL, but all of the other characters have cool traits to them, and it's really easy to get hooked by the plot, and the epic fight scenes this one's got going. It does have decent music, and the art is certainly better than most anime. On top of that, it's got some of the coolest Gundams out of the set, and the Mobile Suits look pretty beast too. Not as beast as Gundam Unicorn in terms of Mobile Suits, but certainly somewhere close. That's why this one is my number 10.
9. Blood + - Alright, it's every bit as short as Gundam 00 was (around 50 episodes.) However, it's every bit as likable. (It's way better.) The main characters are all much more impressive, and you do feel heartpounding (and fanboy/fangirl) moments with each and every character. I must admit, I might be a bit biased since Saya and Diva are insanely hot as far as anime characters go. But, it's still a great series, and I highly recommend it. However, it's not for people that don't watch many anime. If you're that guy that only watches One Piece and Naruto, and has only occasionally deviated to Death Note or Bleach, than you're seriously not supposed to watch this. It's not the same kind of anime as those.
8. Hell Girl (Jigoku Shoujo) - A very symbolic anime, and one that touches all of our hearts. We all see a piece of ourselves in this anime, and as we watch, we come to understand and appreciate Hell Girl. She is real, and existing as a symbol to represent our hearts. The hatred and grudges that we hold against our enemies, whether these be the short term grudges, or lifelong ones. She's the wish we have that we could banish these grudges to Hell, along with their antagonists, and live life forever without those people. Her story is also a direct proof that such an event would only tear us apart even more. This very plot is what makes this anime so amazing.
7. Naruto - I honestly don't see why so many people despise Naruto. I swear it's just because other people pretend to hate it. I swear most people actually like it. It's a really great anime. It has a great plot that keeps you captivated, and as it goes on you only wonder more and more what will happen. Sure it drags on a bit, but which anime doesn't? This one is really cool, and has insanely cool characters. Everyone hates one or two of the characters (I notice Sasuke is a favorite in terms of hatred), but to make up for it people end up falling in love with other characters. Beware, you may fall into a trap, and become one of those dicks that starts bitching over your favorite fan couple. That's how great the anime is though, that you'd get sucked in like that.
6. D. Gray Man - Cmon, this is just freaking cool. The whole idea/concept, the whole plot, it's just flat out beastly. And the characters and powers are great, and totally original. From Allen Walker and his Crown Clown, to The Millennium Earl and that creepy theme music of his. For days on end, you will be screaming "Innocence! Activate" after you watch this anime. On a happy side note, jewish people should not watch this anime, because it happens to contain Anime Hitler. (That's not a joke.)
5. Death Note - This is one of the most heartpounding plots ever. It's a totally different story and type from what most people are used to reading and watching, but it's freaking great. It's got a lot of characters that you get to know deeply, and who you love for those quirks of theirs. Also, it really makes you take a deep outlook on life, and choose a side. It demands of you to believe in your Justice, and admit to which Justice you believe in. Please make sure you don't become one of those faggots that pretends to have a Death Note, or tries to be L.
4. Bleach - Honestly one of the greatest anime out there. A great and stunning plot (though some ignorant fad types may disagree), and incredible characters. Hell, you guys all love it because you're roleplaying on this forum. On the other hand, the power scale is a bit unbalanced, and it's incredibly hard to formulate a system around this anime. However, it's still something utterly fantastic, and you're truly left speechless by the end of the Aizen-Plot. It's possibly one of the greatest anime that will manage to exist.
3. Katekyo Hitman Reborn! - This is just...shit this is just cool. If it weren't for the 34 episodes of slowness and non plot that begin this anime, I would consider it my number 2. You might be like "DEAR GOD THIS ANIME SUCKS" when you first start it. But trust me, persevere. It starts out slow, but once it gets good, it's GREAT. It probably has the coolest characters that I've ever seen in any anime. I've never seen a cooler bunch of characters. From Sawada Tsunayoshi to Hibari Kyoya, or from Xanxus to Squalo, these guys are the very top.
2. GE - Good Ending - Now, this is actually just a romance story. It's odd for me to like, but I can't stop with it. The reason it's so great is because of the hopeful message it sends. It really makes you believe that when you try, you can achieve. If you become a great man, than that girl you like will notice you, and if you do so, that girl that rejected you may change her mind. If you put your mind to it, achieving isn't impossible. This is the theme of Good Ending.
1. Fairy Tail - I'm always talking about how great it is. From the music to the plot to the characters, Fairy Tail is the greatest. The character themselves are phenomenal, each one giving us laughs at the appropriate times, delivering all sorts of positive emotions to us, and making us feel as they feel, just as strongly as they do, all throughout their adventures. We feel their sorrow, their rage, and we can burn with their exact same emotions. It makes us all wish that magic truly did exist, and that this guild really was real. When we laugh with Lucy, Natsu, Erza, Gray, and others, when we cry with Wendy, Mist Gun, and Luxus, the emotions that we feel are real. Before long, you've already been swept away into the adventure, and whether or not it truly exists, you're already laughing as a part of Fairy Tail!
