Angel had received a letter that she was to be the fifth seat of Squad 7 what with her Shikai being unlocked, her feats and performance in the field had allowed her to be acknowledged. Though, at the moment, the young Shinigami had been working on her martial arts, trying to stay away from that spirit's influence. She refused to acknowledge it, and frankly, at the moment, she needed to distract herself with improving in other areas, and of course as a fifth seat, even though she had one of the lowest authorities in terms of the squad, she was still a role model for some of the members. "Hiyah! Kiyai!" Yelling out with each blow, she looked back to the rotating dummy, fighting back and forth as the limbs went back and forth, and as her skills were increasing, she could see what Kaen meant. There was only so much that the device had to offer in terms of training.
Though, it did allow her to build up her endurance while she focused on striking harder, taking hits, predicting movement, and building combinations to deliver more. Having been gifted a badge displaying her rank, she opted to wear it on her left shoulder, though she felt the need to work harder to be considered worthy of the rank. A kick, a punch, a knee, a block, a hit, back and forth. Stopping soon enough, the youthful Shinigami stopped and wiped a light sheen of sweat away from her forehead. "That's enough for now...I need to work on something else." She was looking to the spar matchup area, and it was a pretty simple place. You wanted a sparring partner? You simply waited and found someone compatible with you.
Angel simply walked ahead, step by step, stopping, crossing her arms, and leaning her head back against the wall. "Now...I wait." The seated officer looked around to the various members of the squad, training amongst themselves, honing themselves, and frankly, she was a little bit glad to see that the squad was thriving. Though, she did realize that Fukutaicho Youji was being rather harsh of late with his personal trainings. Thankfully she hasn't had to experience much of that as she was progressing hard enough on her own. There was no reason for him to call upon her because she was pushing herself to the limits as it was. Remembering being taken to Las Noches, the hollows swarming around her, remembering the demonic entities in Osaka, and all of her trials up till now. The voice in her soul was gone for the momentary, she could finally think for herself.
Though, perhaps the best thing to distract herself was another human being. Well, that was why she was here wasn't it? Maybe though what Angel was looking for was someone that could use development, help from her, more than someone that could challenge her at the moment. There were many challenges in life, more than just the battlefield. Being a rolemodel itself was a challenge that few could meet, and now she was being put into that role. What more could she do than get started on that now? Remembering briefly that other Shinigami...Joshua was it? Yes, she remembered teaching him the simple Shitotsu Sansen, a Kido well used within Squad 7 for detainment of foes. Perhaps she could help someone similarly as a mentor figure. Smiling slightly, a curve of those lips on her snow pale skin, she nodded. That sounded nice.
