TP Training
Okay okay, so training in the World of the Living was somewhat of a big no no. At least for the time being while she still is incapable of moving on her own. Stuck to the wheelchair Aoi can only manage to move about in terms of 2D rather than like everyone else. Being completely weak against stairs and uneven pavement Aoi can only maneuver to the point in which her path is more than likely unstable. That is something that was obvious from the start, thus, for her ability to really move around will be something for her to come up with. Quite the problem to her at least. While unlike the World of the Living, the spiritual world was not really handicapable. More or less she was forced to relie on other people to really go up stairs, and to the more dramatic a crane to be carried over to the second or third story. And a bit of an elevator ride sometimes. Damn that stupid oldies music, it is sooo annoying.
Her better senses would make that damn music all the more annoying. It is practically listening to a 60s porno soundtrack. Oh the humanity! She had to admit to herself that she would rather rip her own ears than listen to that crap anymore, so why not train up to find a new means of moving about. Technology wise she was stupid. Dumb as a bat or just a lazy rock that doesn't want to move. Or probably that she doesn't really have any aptitude with technology. So that means that she has to apply what she already knows about reiatsu. Magic. A means to make the impossible very much possible. In her case, to allow a crippled girl like her to move on her own. Yet there was another issue. She was blind. Great. So not only Aoi had to overcome one obstacle, she has to overcome another challenge.
From what others may have taken for granted Aoi saw things in a different way. Sometimes in the shadows of her blindness there are always an array of gleaming lights that cast themselves in such darkness. With that mind she had to figure out how to really put things into better perspective. Because if even she found a way to really move about like everyone else she'd be running into walls and into the ground if she can find a way to maneuver herself clearly. Direction. That was what she needed foremost. Wheeling around the Squad 5 training grounds did help to think for a good bit, clearing her head with the small gusts of wind that came her way. And although the sun's glare was most annoying she couldn't really find a better sitting than now.
With that in mind she had to find the means to travel on her own. A way to separate herself from the chair once and for all. Or at least for a good part of the time, or during crucial times. From her studies on Reiatsu, in theory at least, she can use it to help her travel. In such uses of reitasu to travel about Aoi can employ reiatsu to help her achieve the desired mobility that she dreamt of. Like Shunpo or the other techniques used in the art of Hoho, the use of reiatsu is more than sufficient to move the body around on its own. While it does require a medium to really travel through, mainly through the legs, the Shinigami had to find a different medium in where she can exert the reiatsu from. Due to her legs being indisposed this was more tasking for her. Which is the reason for the discover in a new medium to have reiatsu pour out of.
She had to focus. Mustering up the reiatsu from within her depths, the Shinigami motions it forth to the forefront of her flesh. Its warmth seeping slowly from its cocoon out into the world around it as if it were a new born Butterfly. This Butterfly however was not yet ready to fly just yet. It still required time to fully develop and strengthen itself before being put to practical use. Her reiatsu broke. Shattering into pieces of glass that slowly eroded away with the wind. Aoi felt strange that reiatsu would break away as it did but not at all surprised. After all, releasing and controlling reiastu was more like a muscle that took a bit of will power to shape it to where it is needed.
First things first though. Before being able to shape it Aoi first had to release it. Like learning how to flex a muscle or suppressing the need to pee Aoi had to first develop her ability in releasing reiatsu from her body. That was definitely the first step before all else. So for her to do so she had to meditate. Aoi had to search inside herself to really conjure up reiatsu. Kido classes helped with that process a lot so it wasn't difficult for her really. That muscle was well under way on being worked on, but then came the other steps into using it. Holding and molding it. Reiatsu wasn't like any other substance that can be kept once one is in possession of it. It spurts out when one is not careful. Thus, overcharging or a lack of reiatsu can cause a technique to go haywire, or not work as effectively as one would hope for it to work.
That was the second step, holding. For this specific training session she had to maintain her reiatsu, enabling it to remain on her person without it leaking away. Like the Hoover Dam she had to be firm and leak proof. But that was the thing, when pushing her reiatsu forth Aoi either put too much pressure or too little on her reiatsu. This meant that she either applied too much reiatsu that she couldn't hold it, or too little that it wasn't evenly distributed. The purpose of this was that she can maintain control over her reiatsu throughout the course of her body while its in use. That was the problem, the even spread of her power. This will help control her overall use in reiatsu, keeping control on how much is used rather than going about wasting what wasn't needed. If anything that would tax her stamina greatly when needing to move about in a pinch.
Grrrr, it was annoying.
