Thread Title: Throwback Throwdown Participants: Yetsuna, Senshi World: Soul Society Death Setting: Non Death Enabled Rating: PG-13 Location: A common area training ground for the shinigami of the Gotei. It is a large circular area, about 200 feet in diameter. A squad 4 tent is set up on the edge to treat the injuries of those who end up getting a bit too overzealous during their training. The area is mostly clear flat land with a few tree around the perimeter for people to relax under. Special Conditions: Nadda Circumstances: Yetsuna got wind of someone is squad 9 whose rumored to be about as strong as a VC, though she's still unseated, supposedly due to some personality issues. What made it more interesting is she knows the name of the shinigami because she trained with her in the past. Never one to pass up a good train opportunity and curious to see how the redhead has developed over the years Yetsuna sent her a friendly letter of challenge.

Odayakama Senshi had currently been within a sort of training ground sitting on a tree which had grown within the ground. There were several making a small training ground and even a small river running through the area. Senshi Odayakama was currently sitting there quietly contemplating her existence as she had her head in her knees. She didn't know why she accepted the invitation to the battle between a Vice Captain and herself. She wasn't even as strong as a fourth seat...why try? Despite the fact she did in fact have a Shikai, and the fact that she had grown tremendously from where she once was, she was weak.
Lately Senshi Odayakama has been going through a slump of depression as she has no friends nor people she would call comrades. She has been finding herself absolutely pathetic and lacking motivation nor the passion to continue with this career or her life. It was sad really. Her red hair blew in the wind as she was wearing her standard black Shinigami robes...although they were still two sizes bigger than her. Slowly raising her head, she wiped her eyes before looking out into the sky. How she wished she could be there...and experience what it was like to be free.
Slowly standing from this tree, she had let herself fall onto her feet as she looked around to see the various other Shinigami training to their best abilities. As she had seen some laugh and toy around together, it caused a sharp pain to shoot through her heart. Why was she alone in the world? Or better question was, why did she bother staying in a world alone. Looking down to her purple sheath, she had looked to her Katana. This was her only friend...and it was an odd relationship to say the least. Senshi slowly walked around and took deep breaths as she looked around herself.
She couldn't lie to herself. All she felt was a swallowing aura of sadness that burrowed deep into her soul and fed on her. She wasn't happy with life and she wondered...if she ever would be. She had been doing nothing but going on through life as a Shinigami for nearly sixty years. She was small and insignificant in her eyes. After all the humiliating defeats she has had, she wonders why she had dared to sign up for another. Because...she was a fool? Because she had hope that she could actually do something? Or was it something else entirely. It was so laughable really. Painful memories of her losses had flashed through her mind as suddenly, she stopped.
The redheaded reaper had made it to the rendevue point, but honestly looked as if she weren't here for combat. She looked more like she was attending someone's funeral or grave. Her sky blue cerulean eyes were now a dull glassy turquoise this day. The small shell of shyness that was Senshi had returned as she had her right hand held by her left in an unsure manner. Looking left and right, she had waited for another Shinigami to take this place...but none had. It was then that Senshi had prepared to leave. Perhaps she still had time to back out of it. However, she stopped. Something was compelling her to stay and so she returned to the location simply waiting. She rubbed her right arm looking to the floor as she stayed completely silent standing in the middle of this field. She had lost to Shizuyoko...Kuroi...Col...and others. She's had enough. She had swallowed her spit as she wallowed in the aura of her crippling lethargy. This was greater than any gravitational pressure...and more fearsome than any Cero. One did not need to kill someone for them to stop living. Simply they needed to make someone regret living in the first place.

Yetsuna made her way to the training ground where she had challenged that red head she had fought all that time ago. It had been a fairly crazy fight, even by her standards, it actually got so out of hand she just ended up walking away. Someone in the medical tent did experiments on the two girls she was fighting and it gave them crazy strength, then the person doing the guy doing the experiments used his shikai and jumped into the fray, everything just got too crazy/serious for her tastes so she ended up bailing.
She recently heard one of the red heads she fought had gotten fairly strong, some rumors saying she could rival some of the 3rd seats and vice captains, and this naturally peaked her interest. Yetsuna always loved a good challenge and she liked to try and hunt down some of the more "legendary" Gotei members for a one on one session. It was a good chance to train, be it for them, for her, or sometimes even both of them. She generally preferred using real blades during those training sessions, she felt it provided a better training environment. Today was no exception, she planned to train with Senshi full bladed, and probably with releases too.
The formerly green haired shinigami could see the entrance to the training area just up ahead, and she began to wonder if her opponent would recognize her. Since the overly eventful training fight Yetsuna had completely reinvented her look, even her eye color had changed. Her once grass green hair was now reflective of desert sand and cropped to the length of her collar bone, her formerly rustic red eyes now had a icy blue color. What's more she didn't even wear a shihuksho anymore, she now wore a two part crop top/skirt with armor plating mixed in.
She entered the training area and immediately she saw Senshi, not because she really had a defining characteristic that made her stick out in a crowd, but because she could literally feel the depression rolling off of the girl. She'd walk over towards the girl while her gaze was focused elsewhere and once she was in striking distance she'd address the girl in a stern, but not mean, tone of voice, "What's with the long face? You come here to fight not mope." She'd finish talking as she was only about 2 feet for the shinigami, after which she'd cross her arms under her bust and give the girl a look that told her she was expecting an answer.
Yetsuna's methods for dealing with people in bad moods was a bit rough by almost any measure, though she found it tended to work more often then not. She more then anyone knew that bad head spaces can be hard to get out of, but that's why she was rough, they needed that shock, that roughness, to pull them out of it. Coddling was one way she could have approached the situation, but she didn't like that one, it took too much time and tended to get little results, besides she was a fighter, not a counselor, most of her bad moods were fixed after a quick bar brawl.

Senshi was distracted and not quite in the right set of mind. So when a female Shinigami had come forward...only two steps away, Senshi had looked a little surprised at the confrontation. "What's with the long face? You came here to fight not mope." The woman had crossed her arms under her chest seemingly waiting for a response of some sort. Was she talking to Senshi? If that was the case, she guessed she should give an answer before things got violent and out of control. One thing she learned is that people didn't like to be ignored.
Senshi thought for a moment before she spoke. Should she even tell this person why she was so upset? Why should she? Or rather why did it matter? Maybe if she did...she would feel a little better. Therefore...she took a deep breath before starting to speak and let her feeling out. Worse case scenario was that she would be called a wuss and told to man up. "E-Everything. My life dreams and goals are lies and will never be accomplished. I-I'm a failure of a Shinigami. I-I'm weak a-and...I'm alone. I-If I died today...nobody would care. I don't want to bother going on like this." The crimson Shinigami didn't cry...she didn't have the heart to anymore. "Why do you care anyways? W-Who are you and w-what do you want from me?" She felt a cacophony of things at the moment. Fear of confrontation, sadness, intimidation, and the feeling she was going to be yelled at.
Senshi of course didn't recognize what the woman looked like. She was different in appearence in almost every way. Her voice wasn't remembered by Senshi seeing the former greenhair didn't speak much during their last meeting. Senshi was oblivious that this was the Vice Captain meant to meet her. How could she have known that she looked so different? The woman in front of her now seemed rowdy and a bit outgoing approaching Senshi like this. What was her purpose of doing so though? She's never met this woman before she was sure of that. Even though her voice sounded somewhat familiar, it didn't matter really. The fact anyone would go out of their way to talk to her though was...different.
Senshi had just looked down shyly...wallowing it seemed as she seemed smaller. She was timid and with stuttering showed the shyness. Senshi had went through a sort of regression. With her defeats and her failures, she's become nothing. She's let herself become her former being and that wasn't a good thing. She didn't want to deal with anyone talking to her right now. Was it wrong that she felt these emotions? Was it wrong for her to want to quit her existence and simply...cease to be? Not like it mattered. Shinigami are replaceable.
She hadn't really been prepared to fight at her 100% best. How could she be fighting when she lacked passion or the inspiration to. This woman however in front of her looked like as if she were going to punch her teeth out if she gave the wrong answers. What did it matter anyways? Senshi had remained silent for the rest of this moment...secretly hoping the Vice Captain she would be fighting would forget their meeting today. She really didn't think she wanted to come to be a practice dummy to beat on. Little did she know the Vice Captain was right in front of her.

Well.....That was unexpected. When she had made her comment she had expected the girl to come back with some kinda generic "I'm having a bad day" response, not dump her entire emotional purse on the ground in front of her. This complicated things a bit, Yetsuna hadn't really been prepared to deal with something of this magnitude, but at the same time it was too late to back out, not that she would have anyway. Sometimes it sucked being a nice person, it always meant helping people with their bags, physical or emotional.
After the redhead had finished speaking Yetsuna cocked an eyebrow at her heavily, showing how she wasn't really amused with what the girl had just said. The dirty blonde wasn't much of one for self pity, it just showed lack of resolve for someone to deal with their own issues. After holding the look for a moment Yetsuna responded, "I would very much care if you died today, who else am I supposed to spar with if your gone," she said in a very "matter-of-fact" type tone. She deliberately didn't bother introducing herself, leaving it the the redhead to add two and two together to figure out who she was.
"Care to explain what has you in such a bad mood?" she said the question sounding a bit more like an order. She figured that if she at least got some context about what had Senshi is such a bad head space she figured that she might be able to break her out of it sooner, though at the same time a good punch to the face also sounded like an appealing option. Tell her to clench her teeth, give her a good punch, and then go into one of those "have pride in yourself" sort of speeches you always saw in the movies or something.
Despite its appeal she'd keep it in her back pocket for now, see if it could get her out of it without knocking out a few of her teeth. If both of those failed she figured she could probably just attack her, apply lots of pressure, until she would finally have to fight back. Most people tended to have hard time trying to act depressed when someone was trying to cut them to ribbons. From there, once she was in a better head space, it would likely be easier to address any kind of issue she was having.
Post by Senshi Odayakama (Crimson.) on Dec 11, 2016 18:22:50 GMT -5
As Yetsuna's eyebrow had raised showing she wasn't really interested, the redhead wasn't surprised. Now what did surprise her is when the dirty blonde had revealed she was the Vice Captain she was supposed to be facing. She was surprised and her mouth was agape for a moment before she bowed apologetically. "Gomenosai Fukutaicho. I...apologize for my carelessness. I had heard that you were searching for me...for a s-sparring match. I-I would rather not explain why I'm not...the happiest at the moment. Please excuse me. Let us begin immediately."
She seemed to stop her stuttering somewhat as she quickly turned and walked away from the superior officer. She didn't want to reveal her struggle. Her unhappiness would just cause more problems for her she could tell. She just had to simply bottle that emotion. How hard it was though. It was almost as if a burden had been placed on her back. With her back turned to the Vice Captain, she had placed her left hand on her white handled Zanpakutou. She had slowly drawn it...and then turned to the woman as she wielded her blade with only the left hand.
Her right hand seemed to be free and open for movements. She had focused her leg stance to match Yetsuna's most dominant foot and her legs had been in a triangular formation. This was the Aikido stance. While normally Aikido is a hand to hand martial art, the stances are exactly the same with weapons. She didn't seem too determined to fight Yetsuna though. At least not yet. Senshi had kept her eyes on her opponent although they seemed dull. Had she learned anything from her previous battles, and would she be able to progress from it? Would she be able to perform better than she previously had?
Senshi had allowed her opponent enter her own stance as the redhead tried to focus. She really did, but she had never found it so hard. She had remembered all of her past experiences. Her battle with Tsukuyomi Kawada, Col the Arrancar, Kuroi the god of destruction, Shizuyoko the snake Shinigami. They had all been incredibly fast and while although she had liked to believe she had grown stronger, she didn't really know. She had been trying to progress her speed training and it had worked, but she didn't know anything about her opponent.
Senshi hadn't known that the Vice Captain in front of her was the green haired woman from her past with red eyes. She would let her have the first move of combat and she would react accordingly. She had to play her moves out carefully or else face consequences. Chances were, she would not release Shonin Joka seeing the costs he had...were too great. Shonin Joka is most certainly her most trusted and only friend in the afterlife, but that did not mean that he would be able to help here here. Yetsuna may have heard that Senshi had already unlocked her release, but that was just rumor and stipulation. She may have also heard she was adept at Kido and was ONCE a kind hearted soul although shy. From their brief encounter before, she most likely hardly knew anything about Senshi...and likewise to Yetsuna. The battle was about to begin.

It seemed that the girl didn't want to indulge Yetsuna's inquiry into her state of mind, as she began to apologize immediately after realizing who she was. She said she just wanted to progress into the fight, something which Yetsuna took no issue with except for the fact she knew this girls frame of mind was gonna cause issues. If she kept up the sulky mood she was never gonna be able to fight at her full strength, which basically just meant she was gonna be a human punching bag for the vice captain, and she didn't come here just to wail on someone.
The girl took a few steps away from Yetsuna and drew her sword before taking up a fighters stance. She could tell it from its positioning that it was a martial art though she didn't really know which one, but that isn't what she really noticed or cared about. The girls eyes were dead, they had no passion, nothing behind them, Yetsuna was just fighting a husk in a human body, though she had an idea of how to deal with that, though it was gonna hurt the red head like hell.
In response to her "opponent" drawing her blade Yetsuna drew hers; a large great blade, about as wide as her arm and two-thirds her height. As the tip of the blade reached the end of its sheath she brought the blade down to rest at her side, holding it only in a single hand despite its size. She had no intention of actually trying to cut Senshi as she was right now, she just needed to cause her pain not actual damage, so she was just gonna use the flat of her blade to strike the girl when she swung.
Yetsuna would issue the girl a warning before she began her attack, "I'd recommend getting your head in the game, or this is gonna get very painful for you." Her voice wasn't cruel or mean, it actually seemed to have a touch of sympathy to it more than anything. she'd wait for whatever response the girl would give, assuming there was one, before moving into action. Her first attack was going to be some brutal for the first swing in a training match, but that was partially the point, set the pace for the fight high so Senshi would have to fight back or get driven into the ground.
The blonde woman used a shunpo as an opener, closing the distance between the two of them in an instant and in that same moment she used a shunpo karin on her leg to force her knee into Senshi's stomach. It was gonna hurt like hell if it connected, it wouldn't knock the girl out or anything, but it might make her gasp for air real quick and potentially reevaluate the way she was approaching the fight. If Yetsuna could follow up with another attack if she had chosen, but she wanted to see if her warning was being heeded. If not she would gradually progress into more and more attacks until Senshi started to fight or real or Yetsuna gave up and just found her time being wasted.

As the Vice Captain had drawn her own blade, Senshi had looked at it as her enemy had recommended her to take it serious. Of course it would and Senshi had no intention of getting hurt if she could help it. Senshi had spoke then. "Hai...I will try my best to impress you." It was thn she saw her enemy begin to make her move for a step, and Senshi had then acted. As her foe had reappeared aiming to slam a knee into her stomach, she had acted quickly using her own Shunpo to appear ten feet above her foe as she spun in a circular motion.
Spinning her body with her body weight leaned towards her front, she had spun in a disk motion with her blade horizontally over her head. She had spun much like a disk in the form of a sphere...fashion as a ball. She had aimed to slice her enemy in the back, or to clash her blade against Yetsuna's. However, that wasn't her only goal. If she had succeeded her attack, Senshi had quickly used her free hand to touch Yetsuna's chest with her free hand. "Bakudo#1:Sai." Senshi's quick tactic of a binding technique would activate...and then assuming she had succeeded, Senshi had quickly leapt upwards performing a spinning kick aimed for Yetsuna's temple.
Senshi knew that both Yetsuna and Senshi now had nearly equal speeds. However, she knew for a fact Yetsuna's spiritual pressure was superior in most every way. She could sense this and was all too familiar with cutback. Therefore, she would do something she wouldn't expect. Right before her foot would make contact with Yetsuna's head she would call. "Hado#1:Sho." Senshi would have released it from the focal point of her foot to sent Yetsuna skidding across the ground into the nearby lake. She wasn't going her hardest but she was indeed applying everything she learned about combat and now displaying her own variation of Aikido.
Senshi wasn't the most physically strong...and was a spiritual type but she had learned how to weaponize that talent. Senshi's red hair had blown through the wind as her cold blue eyes would stare into the general direction before suddenly, she had focused the energy awaiting her foe. She wouldn't release. She wouldn't dare do so. She had once again kept her eyes upon Yetsuna as she had strategized every movement. Tried to imagine her enemies next reaction. Senshi had then rearranged her stance so that her foot would match the opposite stance of Yetsuna's.
The same footing stance was ideal for the counteraction or evasion of an enemies attack...and the opposite footing stance was for the purpose of great defense and redirection. Senshi didn't have to have a strong strength to be fearsome. She had mastered the ability to shoot out Hado at specific time intervals to deliver devastating blows in her attack. While they normally were meant to push, she had learned how to turn it into a bludgeoning force if needed. Senshi had then quickly cut part of the ground with her sword lifting a small stone resting on her blade before swinging and flinging it towards Yetsuna's direction.
Post by Yetsuna Yishnir on Dec 14, 2016 17:39:31 GMT -5
"We'll see about that," Yetsuna said flatly before executing her attack, which the girl managed to dodge with her own shunpo. She was mildly surprised by the fact the girl had actually managed to dodge her attack considering her state of mind; most people in similar situations would have found her knee squarely in their gut. Normally a dodge like that would have put her in a bit of a spot, shunpo karin, even when mastered, had a lot of force behind it making it a hard technique to stop once used, but not this time. The redhead made a VERY stupid mistake, she tried to hit her with her blade.
Yetsuna's spiritual pressure dwarfed that of her opponent's, something she would have noticed if she was paying any attention, but she wasn't. Senshi's blade would make contact with the vice captain's back and immediately her arm as well as part of her torso would erupt in severe cuts, cuts deep and bad enough to render the arm useless and likely prevent any follow up attacks. Typically when she fought other shinigami she would lower her spiritual pressure to the point where it was enough to stop weapons from breaking her skin, but not so high she actually did damage, this time was different though, she was trying to prove a point.
Whether the girl landed on her feet or her back after getting hit with the cutback would depend on her ability to deal with pain as well as her own reaction time, but either way Yetsuna would take a few steps forward while beginning to talk to the girl. "For someone with a reputation like yours that was an awfully stupid move," her voice wasn't mean or cruel, but it was somewhat chiding, "You should have seen that coming from a mile away." She turned to face the girl and with a nod motion towards the squad 4 tent she said, "Go get that arm looked at and if wanna get serious and try for another round come back."

Senshi's left arm, the sleeve, her chest, and part of her robe had instantly been shredded as blood had splattered upon hitting the Vice Captain's back. Senshi upon doing so had instinctively clenched her left hand...as she then released her Zanpakutou as it clattered to the floor before she rolled on the ground clenching her arm in agony. "AAGH! AAH!" She had grit her teeth as the pain of course hit her all at once with little time for her to actually react to it. She felt utter agony as her left arm...she couldn't even feel it at the moment as her chest too was bleeding lightly. The crimson headed woman took deep breaths as she saw her arm was disfigured. Yetsuna's back of course had also been covered in the Shinigami's blood as she was right next to her shredded body.
The woman just looking down at her and starting to talk casually about how she should have known she was going to get her arm shredded like this, just made her look...like a complete and utter dick at the moment. Senshi had kicked her legs back and forth as the burning sensations made her feel blurry. She's had a lot of pain in her short career as a Shinigami, but this was the first time she had experienced cutback, and it was not a pleasurable sensation. First she was called stupid as she was bleeding severely on the floor, and then next thing you know...she had a reputation? What reputation was Yetsuna talking about?
If Senshi had a reputation, she sure as hell didn't know about it. She didn't think she really did anything worth of praise or recognition. She didn't really have any friends except that Kenji Fujitora or Shikadai, and they had both died. She might have been able to count that medic Musuhina as a possible friend, but they really hadn't gotten to know each other at all. Senshi had laid on the ground for a bit until she had finally felt the pain dying down...slightly. Panting, the woman had looked up to the Vice Captain while clenching her arm as hard as she could. She really did wonder why the woman had come after her? Hardly anyone had known about her release other than Sylvia Kasumi'Oji who had already swore not to blab, and then...she did it? The snake woman Shizuyoko must have told.
Even IF the woman in front of her knew of her release...that didn't mean she had to fight Senshi. Was she not tormented enough in her poor life? Senshi through the pain had felt that Yetsuna was enjoying this moment. As she was told to leave and go to the medic...and come back if she was feeling serious, Senshi took that into heavy consideration. This woman was a superior force when it came to spiritual power. However, Senshi was going to have to try something she had never done before. Quickly standing to her feet, she walked...without a word. She showed no verbal acknowledgement to Yetsuna, and at the moment she thought of quitting the spar entirely.
However, that was against her nature. She couldn't be so impolite about it. Walking off to the medic...she had been healed surprisingly fast. Returning, she wasn't smiling...nor did she look happy, sad, nor mad at Yetsuna. It was just a face of neutrality which was a step up from the depressed aura. Grabbing her blade from it's spot...she had looked at her partner. Dare she release her sword? Was there really even a point? Seemed like Yetsuna was going to harm her further if she didn't. It was then at that moment, Senshi had decided she didn't like Yetsuna. She was rough, callous, and had no hesitation to harm her fellow Shinigami. True, she herself had been growing more ruthless lately, but she realized it was often for the sake of survival or from the fact she had been sliced at first. "Reputation..." She had took a deep breath as she looked to the woman. "What reputation? I don't have one. I don't know what you heard, or what you th-think I am, but I'm not special. The only thing I have...that I can think of that you want is something someone must have blabbed to you about. My release...is that right?
The unseated officer had awaited a reply, and if she was correct...she would make sure to never associate with that snake woman again. Assuming she was correct, she had then called out the name of her only companion. "Extend above the heavens and fly Shonin Joka." It was then a gust of wind had blown around her as a blue twister obscuring sight before suddenly her weapon was shorter. It was a tanto around three feet tall. However, that was all she would let Yetsuna see as Senshi had then stood spinning her blade within her hand before holding it in a one handed stance. It didn't look impressive at all, and one may consider it a downgrade and an irony for a Shikai call. It seemed utterly pathetic in every way, but was it? Yetsuna should know absolutely nothing of her blade and the abilities...and Senshi knew nothing of hers either.
Post by Yetsuna Yishnir on Dec 17, 2016 19:01:52 GMT -5
As the girls are was torn to shreds Yetsuna heard the girl let out a scream that was almost blood curdling, it seems she might have over estimated the girls ability to take the hit. Yetsuna had the intentions of injuring her, but she had only meant to hurt her, not cause her some kind of excessive pain, she figured from the way she had dealt with the hits during their first training bout that she would be able to roll with this one too, but man was she wrong. If she had know it was going to hurt her so bad she would have held back some.
Yetsuna would still take her few steps forward and turn, but instead of talking immediately she would wait until the girl had a chance to compose herself some and process the pain. After the girl calmed down some she would address her with her remarks and tell her to go heal up and come back if she wanted a round two. The girl rose to her and walked towards the medical tent without a word, not saying if she was going to come back at all, but the armored female had a gut feeling she was going to if she had any pride left in her skills or herself.
She sheathed her blade across her back while she watched squad 4 get to work on Senshi's arm and chest. Predictably they had her out of there fair fast, and like she thought she would the girl came back, which made her smile at the girl, a warm friendly smile that contrasted heavily to how she had been treating the girl just moments before, but before she could talk the redhead did. She began going on about not having a reputation and her release before she picked her zanpaktou up off the ground and unsealed it, which made Yetsuna smile again.
"I wouldn't say someone blabbed as much as things get around. It's hard for a Shinigami with a shikai to hide the fact they have one, but it's not just that either. People say that you're a fairly ruthless fighter and a fairly skilled fighter when you chose to be, and that's what caught my interest. Normally I don't use my spiritual pressure as a defense in a fight, but for you I did because I could tell you weren't focused, and I was trying to get you to do just that. It seems like it worked, you seem to be much more serious," her voice was much warmer then before and much more friendly.
"That said," metal began to engulf the dirty blonde, stemming from the sword on her back as she began to unseal her own release as well, "I do apologize about that nasty attack earlier, I didn't think it was going to be that painful for you." Her voice was surprisingly casual about how bad she had injured the girl, the apology was sincere, but it had the tone that she felt she hadn't done anything that might be considered TOO wrong. As she finished talking her armor finished forming and she summoned a stone weapon, grabbing it in her right hand.
To Senshi the weapon would look like a her normal unsealed release, and she would be unlikely to tell that Yetsuna had summoned it herself considering the only tip off was a very small burst of reaitsu from her. "Meet Ishio," she said with a smile, using the introduction of her release as the method to say her zanpaktou's name for the sake of its release. With a quick whirl of her weapon for some showmanship she flashed a friendly smile at senshi, "Now, shall we start the real fight?"

That smile. That smile didn't belong on Yetsuna's face right now. Senshi's eyes had lowered as they were shadowed from Yetsuna. She had listened to what Yetsuna had to say from the reason she came to her, and then the apology which...didn't seem honest despite the tone of it. Senshi had so many thoughts at that...and none of them were really positive. A dark feeling in Senshi arose in her heart. It combined the negative emotions she had been holding deep inside. This woman was smiling at her. It was then suddenly Senshi's whole body would be engulfed in blue for a moment. Was this all a game...a joke to Yetsuna? Did she think Senshi was something she could just apologize to and it would be over like that?
She said nothing before looking up with eyes cold and dead...but yet shining with fury at the same time. Her reiatsu attracted the attention of others as they looked at the scene. Her blade had then also glowed a similar color as it's wielder's aura. She had expended a mere 500 reiatsu to equal Yetsuna's power of offensive strength. Her blade now had the even power of 800 Reiatsu Strength. She had then looked at Yetsuna coldly and her metal form. Shonin Joka would feed...before the whole aura had dispersed in a cool gust of wind blowing Senshi's hair.
"You're taunting me...just like the rest of them. I feel it. No need to apologize for cutting my arm and chest to shreds. Because that isn't something that's going to matter in the end. It's going to happen over...and over...and over in my career." She didn't have time for what felt like fake apologies. She wanted to slice and dice to inflict the pain dealt to her with interest. However, something in her soul told her to stop. It was the old her. Was this really what she was degraded to? Was she really willing to stoop down to the level of violence that others had?
Senshi had used the Shunpo to appear by Yetsuna's left side seemingly aiming a slice to collide with her chest, but it was merely a feint as Senshi had flashed directly above Yetsuna with her blade pointed downwards. If Yetsuna were to block her bladed weapon with her stone one, her blade would suddenly split almost instantly before simply trapping the stone weapon in between the handle as the blades would force her to release the stone...or have her face wrapped around by these blades. The blades would have wrapped around her mouth and nose tightly as the others wrapped around her head and chest tightly. It would be so tight, she would find herself unable to breath.
If she would pull on the blade, she would find that it would slice into her skin slightly draining her and keeping it's hold tight. She was also blinded as her weapon Shonin Joka had wrapped another blade around the eyes now completely covering the head much like a metal sack with a handle. The stone weapon would be stuck and bound...and would be utterly useless. If Yetsuna were trapped by her malicious tactic, she would be drained of 300 reiatsu as the blade was too strong and tight to come off using Yetsuna's strength alone unless she was willing to rip her skin off of her face. Senshi wasn't violent as she should and could be. "Give up...and tap the ground with your hand...or else my blade will explode into your head. It won't kill you, but it will hurt more than anything...as you will be drained of Reiatsu until you die." She said it without emotion...without feeling.
Was Senshi insane? Maybe so...but she was holding on to whatever vestige of her old self was left. Why she even bothered doing so was a mystery. Maybe it's because she viewed herself less than what she was. She wasn't strong...nor was she someone that mattered. She didn't care for herself. She hated herself...and as a result hated the world and those around her. Was she wrong to feel this way? Why was she so miserable? She hated...she felt nothing but an infinite dullness and loneliness in the world. It swallowed her. It was her. Senshi was gone. The old her wanted to believe that she was better...that her dreams could succeed...that there had to be something for her. However, the current her just couldn't believe that. It was just too long with no progress. Too long without a shoulder to lean on. Too long...staring into the eyes of death taunting her.
Senshi had felt like Yetsuna was playing with her. She was just there to be used for her boxing dummy, to be left and forgotten. It was her cycle. Loss after loss after loss. She felt like her existence was meaningless, pointless. In actuality...what did she have to refute her claim? Shonin Joka was the last vestige of a companion she had. He told her she had worth in his eyes...and she talked to him for hours at a time. Her time with Shonin Joka had been short. Very short...as she had only unlocked him after so much desolation.

Well today wasn't really going as planned at all now was it? All Yetsuna had wanted was a good training match against this girl, but instead she was getting almost everything but at this point. Once she finished talking to the girl she could feel the bad vibes radiating from her; despair, anger.....and murderous intent? Oh christ this wasn't gonna be good, she was going to need to end this before Senshi could try to kill someone, namely her.
Yetsuna knew she hadn't exactly been at her nicest when she first met the girl, but she hadn't done anything to the girl that would cause any sane person to want to murder her. The dirty blonde even explained the motives behind her actions in hopes that the girl would understand and not hold a grudge, for all the good that did. Then a thought hit her, looking over the girls actions and reactions since she had arrived, was it possible this girl was insane? All things considered it seemed disturbingly likely and was all the more reason for Yetsuna to try and end this fast.
The redhead used a step technique, but with only a minor speed advantage it wasn't hard for her to track the girl and move out of the way with her own shunpo. Using the Hoho technique Yetsuna back pedaled out of the girls melee range while expending some reaitsu to summon some stone around the girl's feet in an attempt to anchor her to the ground, she'd have about a half second to move her feet or she was going to find her feet encased in stone. The armored females reaitsu was flaring more heavily then usual as she was keeping herself ready for any move the girl might try.
The girls words from a few moments echoed in her ear, she felt bad causing the girl more distress, but at the very least she was trying to make it as painless as possible. "I wasn't taunting you, I was trying to be nice," she paused for a moment as she exhaled a small sigh disappointed that the situation had degraded to this, "Put down your weapon please, I don't want to hurt you any more then I have." Her words were genuine, though she wasn't holding her breath that they were gonna work.
She would the girl to put down her weapon regardless of whether or not her trap worked, though having her pinned in a single place might make the request a bit more logical to comply with. Yetsuna REALLY hoped the girl listened, she didn't wanna hurt someone in her condition more then she had to, and if she didn't listen she might end up having to do some damage to the girl, nothing permanent or lasting, but pain was pain, and this girl didn't seem to take pain very well.
-125 reaitsu for shunpo, earth trap and the sword from her last post.

As the woman used the Shunpo to avoid her assault, Senshi had quickly followed using her own instincts and senses. She had prepared for her enemy to back off from her. As a result, she had not been caught in the trap that was Yetsuna's earth before appearing a measly three feet away from her. "Weren't taunting me? Trying to be nice? That's a real funny way to be nice Fukutaicho. Ripping someone's arm and chest to pieces and saying sorry? I'm dying from your kindness. You don't want to hurt me? Why bother even caring? You've hurt me already...slice me up some more huh?" Senshi had looked to the woman with disdain.
Stabbing her blade into the floor, she had seemingly surrendered. However, she had paid 1800 reiatsu to make the blades grow around 5.4 feet, followed by her technique split which would extend it even further to nearly nine feet as the blades had separated into six. She looked to the vice captain with hateful eyes as she clenched her fists. She didn't look insane, but she looked hateful...but deep in those eyes were unimaginable sorrow. The blades would have traveled beneath Yetsuna's feet, before bursting from the ground and wrapping around her shoulders and head while two had grabbed her legs aiming to yank and pin her to the floor. Assuming Senshi had succeeded, she had suddenly felt a pang in her chest as she instinctively clutched at her robes before coughing out a small gush of blood from her mouth onto the floor.
She had been abusing her body like this...more than she should. The rapid influx of releasing that energy, taking it in, releasing it...it drains her horribly. She had kneeled using Shonin Joka as a support as she had then felt like as if she couldn't breath as she vomited another pocket of blood from her mouth. She panted looking tired from the sudden output of reiatsu, and Shonin Joka had tightened it's grip on Yetsuna as Senshi wiped the blood from her mouth. "I can't...let myself lose so pathetically. I don't want to lose again. You don't understand...how painful it is." She seemed to be talking to nobody as she tightened her grip on the handle of her sword.
She had wanted to continue fighting...and not fail so pathetically...without landing a hit, but Shonin Joka had tensed before slowly releasing Yetsuna and slowly going underground as Senshi's dull cerulean eyes filled with a glow. "What are you doing Shonin Joka? Stop...don't help...me." The blade had funneled everything it had back into the user as she felt energy...a portion of it feed into her. Then as she stood, she grasped the hilt before pulling it from the ground to the now most likely freed Yetsuna...and then rushing at her with a battle cry. She wanted to land a strike! ONE STRIKE WAS ALL SHE WANTED!
She was destined for eternal failure? Was she a failure? What did she mean...her existence? Who was she? Senshi herself didn't have any real answers. Instead all she had was a swallowing darkness that filled her heart. She was once good, kind, shy, loving. However, now she sought power more than anything. She felt her last century of existence had been nothing...where she hadn't grown. She had only defeats and nobody to share that burden with. Not that she knew of anyways. So, she ran in a rage aiming to tackle Yetsuna and stab...stab into her armor repeatedly in rage...in hatred...in sorrow as she imagined a reflection of herself stood where Yetsuna was.

Yetsuna's trap for the woman went about as predictably as she would have guessed, more often then not traps didn't end up working so she never invested much hope in them. She would still tell the girl to throw down her weapon regardless, before things got out of hand, though her posture told her that her order was falling on deaf ears. She shot back with some hostile language and yelling, but the dirty blonde could hear the sadness in her voice. Before she could respond the girl stabbed down her weapon into the ground seemingly giving up, but it was a ruse she wasn't falling for.
As the redhead stabbed down she let out a massive burst of reaitsu, an amount even Yetsuna could respect, and she went through reaitsu like a girl does ice cream after a bad break up. Yetsuna immediately used a shunpo to move out of her position as she tried to get out of the way of whatever was about to come her way, though she had no idea what it was. Considering the fact the girl hadn't used any of the actions or words that generally went with kido she guessed it had something to do with her release, though what it was she had no idea, but she was ending this now.
She stepped directly for the redhead ending it just in front of and to the right of her. A burst of reaitsu from the armored shinigami and a motion of her arm had the redhead enveloped in her sand. Between the massive amount of reaitsu she had just blown, the proximity as well as the speed of the stone chances were slim for the girl to escape, but even if she did it would mean having to leave her zanpaktou buried in the ground.
The girl would be thrown back hard landing with a solid thud on her back as the sand enveloped her, covered her from the neck down in a stone coffin unable to move any part of her body and therefore escape; she was completely and utterly trapped. she began to spout on about why she acted like she was and Yetsuna took some slow steps over towards her before placing her right foot on the stone where the girls chest was and leaning down to look the girl dead in the eye.
"I know better then you think," her voice was even and hard, not in a mean way, but more "I'm not dealing with your bullshit", "I've lost more than my fair share of fights, broken more bones and suffered more cuts then you'd think you could survive. It's not pathetic to lose a fight, as long as you gave it your best, what IS pathetic," she leaned in closer to emphasize her point, "is how you let it get to you."
"It's not the number of wins or loses under your belt that matter, it's that you get back up to fight again, that you don't doubt your own strength even in facing an unstoppable force." Even by her own standards she sounded cliche as hell, but everything she was telling the girl was true. Whether or not the girl could stop playing the victim for a second and listen to her would determine how the next few minutes were going to go.
