Col's face changed in the split second that Senshi's sword split. Before his expression had been one of wry amusement as he toyed with the shinigami. Playing with her. This was a game to him, and he was enjoying himself as he slowly worked the shinigami to death in the duel. In a sense it was ironic for the very fault that Senshi exploited-- Col's lax approach to this contest, was the very thing that would save him now. But that would come in a moment. For this instant, the moment Senshi's sword split open to trap his plasma blade, Col's face twisted from an amused smirk into a mask of irritation, that transformed further into an expression of shock as her blades thrust forwards to pierce his body. And then.... there was a sound of static and Senshi's blades pierced through nothing but empty, Col's plasma blade hanging suspended in midair now supported only by Senshi's own weapon. Senshi's attack had been daring and ferocious, but she was blockaded by the sheer gap in speed between the two, as well as, in this case, Col's relaxed fighting form. Col had been fighting so assured of his victory, that he had barely been trying. Despite his offline step, he was still in perfect balance, and perfectly capable of retreating had the need arisen. He had expected Senshi to have some trick up her sleeve as well when their blades had clashed, hence the "Sho" spell, but this particular trick had been quite unexpected and unwanted. Were the two of equal speed, Senshi's attack would likely have succeeded. As they were, unfortunately, Col was simply too fast. He had been fighting Senshi at an easy pace, but for an instant, the arrancar was forced to use his full speed, in combination with a Sonido to avoid the attack. Col had been twice as fast as Senshi at a relaxed speed, but his top speed was almost three times as fast as Senshi was. Combined with his Sonido, there was no chance of Senshi's blow connecting directly.
The con to this, was that Col could not have launched his Hyapporankan, as he was busy retreating from Senshi. He appeared in the air some thirty feet up from Senshi, his face contorted in an expression of rage. A small amount of perspiration was on his brow, a consequence of moving at his maximum speed. Perhaps most importantly for Senshi though, was a thin red line along Col's cheek. It was barely a scratch, but it was a blow, her blade having grazed Col's cheek just barely as he escaped to the air. It was unquestionably this wound that had enraged the arrancar. He had played with his prey too long and now he was hurt. Truly, it was only a scratch, but it was an injury nonetheless. He was careless. And he was angry.
"Rikujokoro." He snarled viciously, as six rods of black light appeared out of the aether and slammed into Senshi on all sides, trapping her in. Rikujokoro was a relatively high level binding spell, and was unlikely to be absorbed by her Zanpakuto. Col set himself down on the rooftop, hatred blazing in his eyes. "I told you to cease your pitiful STRUGGLING!" He roared, lifting a hand as he did so. What looked like azure lightning crackled and twisted itself out of Col's fingertips, cascading at an incredibly high speed towards the trapped Senshi in a vast net of snapping energy. The attack was huge. The space covered by the technique was greater than the rooftop the group were standing on. Cero Lightning was a technique devised by Col himself to draw out the suffering of his prey. It could be unleashed in focused bursts, or spread out, cutting the power to intensify the agony for the victim. At full power, Col's lightning would have turned Senshi to ash. He held back, however. This Cero lightning only held half Col's full RS. Senshi would not be killed by this.
Unfortunately for her.
The pain would be agonizing. Every nerve in her body would feel as though it were set ablaze. Pain that would bring all but the most battle hardened of warriors to their knees, though, suspended by the Rikujokoro, Senshi would not be able to fall, or even writhe in agony. She would not be able to do anything but scream. Burns and blisters would swell into existence across everything the lightning touched. Col's crimson eyes, full of hate and malice, that could only now be soothed by Senshi's agony and misery. She had cut him, and he would make her pay for that. Col was no longer holding back on his fighting skills as he was before. He was going to reduce Senshi to a pathetic worm of a creature before putting her out of her misery. And he was going to enjoy every second of it.
