Kiera would find a lot of interesting things on Relius' wikipedia page as well as a few other articles he'd been featured in. For the most part he had spent his life secluded, working on project after project that fell under the corporation "Wayne Enterprises." He had spent a lot of time researching agriculture and farming and had released quite a few books on the subject. Most of them were extremely boring, so much so that their back cover descriptions of the books were little more than "Dr. Silverbane writes another book on crop rotation methods". But there was one book that he wrote that wasn't about farming.
It was titled "The Truth about Ghosts" though the library didn't have a copy nor did the internet have any excerpts available. It was only available through Amazon and was exorbitantly expensive for a copy.

Keira made a condensed report of everything she was finding quickly going from one article to another. She saw the name Wayne Enterprises come up a lot. "Well haven't you been a busy body." Keira said to herself nearly spitting out the sitting from her lips. Honestly though she expected a lot more from him. She was not sure how much of these projects were completely his own, but the books on agriculture was a bit odd from what she knew of him. Then the other book caught her attention. It was nothing like the other's being about ghosts. She wondered what he would have known about the subject. The book peaked her interest, but there was no copy in the library, and nothing online. On top of that, the price on the book was staggering. Who would pay such a price for the book? She made not of the book, but decided to look at something else for now.
She decided to look into this company. Wayne Enterprises. Her fingers typed quickly, and her eyes scanned quicker. She looked up a bit of the history of the company, as well as its founder. She also looked into the current CEO of the company, not assuming that the founder was still ran the place or not. She made the same kind of notes that she did with Relius finally taking her delicate fingers off of the key board. The book that Relius wrote, "The Truth about Ghosts" was still lingering in her mind. She had no way to pay for the book online, and she didn't want to try searching for a physical copy. She was here to confront him on taker her research after all.
She looked to the librarian's computer and wondered. "Maybe there would be some information that would be useful there." She said to herself. She did not feel the presence of anyone with any spiritual awareness, and assumed that it would be safe enough to cause a diversion. She got up from the computer and started walking to the exit. She made sure she was near the desk when she used her flood to form an arm made of reiatsu and push one of the large shelves of books over. It would start a domino effect each shelf hitting the one in front of. If all went well, everyone would be moving over there, and have their attention on the mess, or anyone caught under a shelf.
If the librarian left the desk, she would quickly take her seat and try to look through the computer files. She was looking for some credit card information. She may not have the means to pay for it, but she was sure that someone here would. They would be kind enough to buy it for her. Her fingers would be a blur as she types and opened files hoping to find what she needed. Any shmuck would have done. With the info on her phone, she would make a bee line for the door. At this point it didn't matter if anyone saw her. She would pull her hood over her head and quickly dart from the library blending in with the crowded sidewalks outside.

The search for Wayne Enterprises Founder and CEO was... less than helpful than the search for information on Relius Silverbane. The founder and CEO were the same person, and there was not a lot of information about him on the internet. He had appeared on the corporate scene just a few years ago, but already had started to rival the other big arms dealing and general goods corporation Uzaki Enterprises. They were bitter rivals in the corporate world, but Kazura was a much bigger name than Kashmir Wayne in the public scene. Soon her notes would be finished and Kiera would move to the librarian's desk to try and find credit card information.
After causing a massive scene with her summoned hand, she quickly searched for credit card information. She soon found it, an email in a deleted folder from an old lady who had tried to pay her library fees over email. Unfortunately, the old lady had neglected to give the Security number from the back of the card. The credit card number was useless without that number, but at least Kiera now had the bulk of the numbers and the lady's email address. catlover1904@aol.com Hurrying, she left the library with her hood up. It was almost time, however, to go to her appointment at the conference center. She better hurry or she'd be late.

Keira made her way briskly through the streets back to the conference center. Her phone was ringing its alarm to warn her that she needed to get going. She growled to herslef. Walking everywhere like this a pain in the ass. If she could just summon her arm and ride it, she would be there with plenty of time to spare, even as late as she was. But she knew that it would be unwise. A girl floating on nothing going faster than most would be able to perceive would draw too much attention to herself. She would have to put up with the inconveniences of being in the human disguise a little while longer. She made sure all her notes were secured as she approached.
The street was rather busy with vehicles. It would be rather dangerous for her to try an walk, and she was starting to cut it close to wait like a normal human would. She looked quickly from left to right and back again. When there was a significant enough gap between car rushes, she would start to run out into the street. When she was close enough to the other side, she would use sonido to cover the remaining distance before any cars came close to her. Using step techniques like that was unusual for the failure. Her hands were durable and fast enough to help her out of trouble, so even though she knew how to use sonido, she hardly used it battle.
She remembered to have the paper work with her when she left for the library so it would be relatively easy getting in. She may get a few odd looks, but she would meet them with an icy glare. She would walk with purpous through the halls, but the same time, she would scan everything with her pink eyes. She was sure that even now, they were in a hurry to set up for Relius's event. Maybe she would be able to see a concentration or workers to, or maybe the main man himself in the halls. She hoped not though. She doubted that she would had the control to not kill the man right there in front of everyone and damn the consequences. Right now, she needed to keep up the charade of a parent. She had a separate event to attend at the moment.

Kiera arrived to the convention center just in time. She was given a nametag when she handed over her paperwork. Entering the front doors, she'd find an immediate wall right in front of her with bathrooms. To the right was her convention, the parenting one. To the left was a blocked off area that was probably setup for another event. Potentially Relius Silverbane's exhibition. If she chose to head to the right, to her conference, she'd find that the area opened up to a large area full of round tables like a school cafeteria. There was a greeter at the front of the area, who walked up to Kiera. "Hello! I see you have a nametag that you're here for our convention! Where's your child? I hope that they're not sick, they'd miss all the fun that we're going to have!"

Keira accepted the name tag and paperwork without saying much. She entered the facility and took a quick glance at the opposite end of the hall from her supposed destination. For now she turned to the parenting even she signed up for. It would not do for her cover to not show up at least when she got there. A greeter intercepted her remarking that her child was absent. Keira was no actor, but she was not inexperienced at lying and giving half truths. She gave a heavy sigh and a small shrug. "Unfortunately so, little Leroy came down with a horrible strain of the flu. I couldn't in good conscience bring him around other children in his condition." She tried to keep a pleasant enough expression, maybe adding a little stress to it. "I decided to come anyway and get anything i should."
Post by Kyomei Kuchiki on Feb 8, 2018 1:19:51 GMT -5
The greeter seemed disappointed that "Leroy" was "sick". He gathered up a few pamphlets and handed them to Keira. "Well without your child, there won't be a lot for you to do here. You could try talking to some other parents if you'd like, but most of the parent-child bonding exercises will be completely lost for you since Leroy couldn't be here. Hopefully he's safe with a good babysitter that doesn't mind accidentally getting the flu!" The pamphlets were about generic parenting things like "the talk", "how to cook the tastiest vegetables they'll actually eat", and "what to do if your baby catches on fire spontaneously". That last one may be an ad for the Incredibles 2, though.
There didn't seem to be much supervision in the parenting convention, so Keira could stay and scope out this side of the convention center or she could try and slip off somewhere else to get an overview of the rest of the place. Was up to her.

Keira smiled politely as she took the pamphlets. "Don't worry, my sister already had this particular strain, so she is safely immune. Though maybe that is how he got it in the first place." She laughed a little to lighten the mood. "Let me make a call, and I will be out of your hair." She turned walking an isolated part of the convention. She flipped out her phone and pretended to make a call. She paced, and continued to stroll seemingly absent minded as she talked to nothing. All the while Keira track of how far everyone was from her. She took note of everyone she could in order to gain as much distance. She rounded a corner and closed her phone. Her customary scowl returned. "And to think I actually thought this was a good idea." She growled.
Keira would scout around the area trying to keep herself as inconspicuous as possible. She would take any pictures of anything of interest, and be on her way. She would make her way through the complex trying to inch her way closer to the area where some of the preparations for Relius' event was occurring. She would look around with her keen pink eyes. She was starting to think that all this sneaking around was a waste of her time. She had enough power to take down hollows, and the intelligence to out smart just about everyone. She was confident that she could just stroll in and confuse and scare the spiritually blind scientist with her little tricks. The thought made a wicked grin spread across her face.

The greeter waved her away when she mentioned making a phone call. They didn't appear to really care whether or not Keira was at the convention, especially without "little leroy". It's almost as if the convention was more geared towards the kids than the parents, or maybe the greeter just had a soft spot for kids. Either way, Keira made her way out of the eastern wing of the convention center and towards the western wing. No guards were posted, but there was a little bit of yellow caution tape "blocking" her way into the western half where they were setting up for Relius' event. Potentially, that is. The pictures that Keira would get of the entrance way and the hallways in the middle hallway of the convention center wouldn't really show her anything of use, so she'd have to go into the western wing if she was to find anything of use.
Assuming she poked her head into the western side through the curtain and yellow caution tape, she'd find that there were patrolling guards inside the hallway into the main event room. Their pattern was clear to see as they took two minutes to walk down the length of the hall, stopped for ten seconds, then turned and walked back the length of the hall for two more minutes. There didn't appear to be any way around this hallway, at least one that was immediately visible. What was immediately visible though was the guard's odd uniform. They didn't appear to be police or hired security guards, at least in their uniform. They looked more like lab techs than guards, especially with the really goofy goggles that they were wearing...
Post by Kiera Bright on Feb 25, 2018 17:36:51 GMT -5
Keira slipped past the caution tape paying it no heed. She would carefully make her way down the hall and stop when she spotted two guards. She hung back around the corner peaking around the corner to monitor the two guard's rout for a round or two. It was a very simple pattern. Then she noticed that they didn't seem to be any ordinary security personnel. They were more lab techs than anything. Though that did make her wonder about their interesting eye wear. Keira reached into her pocket and her fingers found one of the distraction devises that Keira had built the previous day. It was a shame to use one this early, but there was no helping it.
She looked up at the ceiling tile and smiled mischievously. Using her flood, she would summon a reiatsu arm to slightly shift it out of place. She would pull it back ready to strike. She tossed the noise maker right under the where it clanked and rattled no doubt getting the guard's attention. With any luck they would look down at the noise maker first before looking up, if that even crossed their minds. The reiatsu arm was positioned above them where it would move quickly and bash both of the guards in the back of the head knocking them out cold. Before they could fall, Keira would have the arm catch them and put one in the ceiling, and the smallest of them, which ever was closest to her size, to her.
She searched the guard for anything else that might be of interest. Checking pockets, and taking the glasses. She would also take the uniform, if it fit well enough and put it on over her clothes only needing to take off the jacket. She would also transfer her supply of noise makers and candy into the pocket of her disguise. She wished that there was a way to hide her hair, but oh well. She placed the glasses over her eyes, at least her eyes were covered, she could always dye her hair later for the operation, or another scouting mission. The mostly naked body would be replaced with the other one. Now maybe she could move around easier. She continued to head deeper into the convention center. There had to be something here.

"What the?"
As soon as Keira created her hand to shift the ceiling tile, the guards were alerted to her presence. Something about those weird goggles allowed the normal humans to see spiritual beings and their effects. So a floating spectral hand out of nowhere put them on high alert. "Who goes there? Show yourself or we'll have to shoot... Wherever you are!" The guards pulled out what appeared to be regular pistols, but Keira would know that such a weapon was illegal in Japan. They must be loaded with some sort of crowd control rubber bullets that would just hurt to be hit with... Unless one was like Keira in that such a weapon could cause the entire city to go up in flames...
With the guards alerted to something going on, but not yet having noticed Keira at the end of the hall, she'd have to decide how to proceed best. Was she going to force her way in past the guards or back off and try a different day? Was she going to keep her plan of trying to gain the lab-like clothes of these guards and move farther into the convention center, or did she have to completely change her course of action now that she had been discovered in an area she wasn't supposed to be in. Well, almost discovered. They didn't quite know where the source of the floating hand was. But it wouldn't take them long to figure it out...

Keira swore softly as the humans noticed her reiatsu arm. She didn't sense any spiritual awareness from them, so she deduced that it was the glasses that allowed them to see spiritual entities. Had any trouble with spiritual beings Relius, or were you expecting little old me? She thought with a smirk. Now they were on high alert. Acting got her this far, maybe acting was another way out without blowing her cover. Her took her hand out of her pocket. There was some black residue on her fingers from one of her candies that opened. She managed to rub some on her arm and neck making it look like it was bruised. She dismissed her reiatsu arm and screamed loudly giving away her position working on making her eyes tear up.
When the men came to investigate her screams, they would find her on the ground sobbing. She would look up and throw herself onto the nearest one clutching him tightly sobbing into his chest. "Oh thank goodness someone was here. Someone made me take them in here. I couldn't see their face, had my arm..." She cried harder tightening her grip on the man. It would be strong for someone of her size, but one could chalk it up to adrenaline and being terrified. She looked up at the one she held sniffling. "I didn't want to, but he threatened to kill me if I didn't cooperate." He buried her face into his chest again. Come on buy it, she thought gripping the uniform material in her fists.
Post by Kyomei Kuchiki on Feb 26, 2018 23:24:30 GMT -5
The scream caused the guards to come running, guns still out but definitely less wary than before. As Keira clutched at the guard's uniform and started sobbing, all defenses were let down as her acting took over and won them over. "It's okay, you're safe now... Who threatened you? Where did he go?" Pretending like they didn't see the reiatsu arm, and figuring it was due to the unnamed man that was threatening to kill this poor and defenseless pink haired girl, the guard who wasn't being cried on just shrugged at the other. They really had no idea what to do with her.
They were like putty in her hands...

"Please don't leave me!" She screamed clutching her savior tightly. She looked up again looking back behind her. "I think he went back to the front, maybe to blend in for another strike."She reached into her jacket and brought out a tissue blowing her nose into it. "Please don't send me back out there. I don't know what he would do to me if he catches me again." She nestled into the guard's chest waiting for their decision. She hoped that one would go out and search for the mystery man that is going around stalking the area, leaving the other one to bring her into some kind of control room or something. Surely they would be compelled to do something.

The pair of guards appeared concerned for the girl who was crying and blowing her nose and clutching at one of them, one of them offering to go out to the front and look for the man who had threatened her. The other one, just as she wished, started to take her further into the building. The hallway opened up into a large meeting area of the convention center while many men and women worked setting up chairs and tables and other displays. They all wore the funny glasses that had allowed the guards to see Keira's spiritual hands. Rather than take her into a control room of some sort, the guard simply placed her in a chair at the edge of the room and then told her to stay while he would go back to patrolling.
From her seat, Keira could just barely see the stage with curtains drawn in front of it. With her highly honed Energy Sensory, she would sense... something behind that curtain. It wasn't something that she was likely to have come across before, but it felt reminiscent of a Hollow mixed with... something darker. There also was the scent of a Hollow nearby, but its energy was somehow compressed and locked away, barely able to be sensed even by Keira's powerful energy sensory. Whatever was going on behind that stage curtain, it couldn't be good. But what was she to do when faced with the room full of guards and workers?
