-Appearance-
Height/Weight: [7'4/250]
Physical Description:
Abaddon is a rather tall individual standing at a height of seven foot eight inches. With his rather impressive stature most would assume that he would be either a gentle giant or a wrathful monster. However neither are true for him, his larger than life height is due in part to his rebirth from a vasto lord, as a human he was rather normal height standing at a modest five foot four. Being reborn in a taller body has it's difficulties however he has become use to moving and fighting in this taller body. Yet his height isn't the first thing that people notice about.
The very first thing that someone sees is his bright and lively hair. Abaddon has bright blonde medium length hair that sits on his shoulders. These golden locks start off brighter at his roots and slowly get darker at his tips. He doesn't keep it styled at all, his hair is wild and resembles a wild fire in shape and form. His bangs hang down and fall to the left of his face, while not obscuring his face in the wind they do cross over his left eye slightly. If Abaddon had pride in one of his own physical aspect of his body it would be his hair.
Some folks say that the eyes are a window into a person's soul, while the actual truth behind that is easily contested for Abaddon at the very least it does hold some truth. While his golden locks are wild and untamed emanating a sense of wildness his eyes don't. Looking into his eyes one would see that their always calm , clear and tranquil no sense of urgency can be felt from them. The very same could be said of Abaddon for the most part when it comes to most things and approaching people. While the bright orange color that his iris are do match his hair when looking at them together they seem to form a vivid contrast in who he is.
Abaddon does consider himself to be a rather handsome man and for the most part it seems that people do seem to agree with that statement. Part of that could be attributed to one very simple fact and an odd physiological phenomenon. For the most part Abaddon always has a smile on his face, a soft and simple smile that makes it seem like he is very approachable. While it doesn't mean that he is always happy, this stems from him forcing himself as a human to always keep a smile across his face no matter what had happened in life, now he does it subconsciously.
Clothing wise Abaddon seems to take a more elegant approach when dressing himself now in the modern world. To start off Abaddon will always wear a pure white silk long sleeve shirt with everything that he wears. For the most part the shirt will always be buttoned up, along with a set of golden cuff-links that have the Quincy cross on them. Along with this white shirt a constant in almost every outfit Abaddon has a black tie with it. Unlike the shirt it's just a simple solid black tie, however he has a habit of doing various complex knots with his tie. His personal favorites are eldredge knot, the trinity knot and the rose knot.
From there it all depends on what Abaddon is doing for that day. If it is a more casual and relaxed day Abaddon will simply grab one of his many dress vests and wear it alongside it's matching dress pants and a pair of dress shoes to go with it. If Abaddon has to go out somewhere or knows he is meeting someone then he dresses up more. Along with the dress vest he will wear a full suit, usually a black pinstripe suit that will always match the pants and dress vest. To top it off he will wear a long black cloak that has a golden chain across it holding the two sides together.
However no matter what he is wearing for the day Abaddon will always have one specific article of clothing on at all times, a pair of gloves. Be they white or sometimes a dark blue Abaddon will always be wearing gloves. Even while sleeping Abaddon will be wearing a set of gloves. The only time that Abaddon isn't wearing gloves is when he is showering. While Abaddon hasn't said why he wears them it's rumored to be because of his time as a hollow that parts of his body aren't fully quincy, or at the very least scarred from becoming a quincy once more.

-Personality-
Dislikes:
The mentality that shingami have towards the other races: This isn't Abaddon saying that he dislikes shingami, no he dislikes the way the majority of them think about their place in the worlds and how they seem fit to carry out it's will, without giving a second thought to how everything actually has a place in this world. In his own experience Shingami are very narrow minded when it comes to other races and their preconceived prejudiced against someone else based on their race is what causes this to happen.
Vandenreich: Unlike most quincy who hate the Vandenreich for reasons having to deal with personal issues or the fact that they're a military comprised of quincies that follow the words of a man they see as a god. Abaddon dislikes the Vandenreich because they're starting an unneeded war, destroying the balance that life has in place. While he disagrees with the actions of the shingami and what they did, he understands that his kind was destroying the balance and needed to be stopped. He wished that there had been a more peaceful solution to it however and doesn't condone the massacre, but that doesn't excuse the call for a genocide of the shingami by his fellow quincy .
The nature of quincy powers and the unbalance it causes: There is no getting around thing. Abaddon clearly knows how Quincy reiatsu works and the effects it has on souls. He absolutely knows that each arrow they fire off holds the potential to destroy a soul forever and he hates that fact. His race was created to destroy not to protect, but even now he holds that his kind have a place in the cycle of life, after all they have lived for this long.
The Quincy massacre: Not for the reasons most people would think of, he doesn't hold a grudge against the shingami for their actions when this happened. No more so he hates that both sides couldn't come to an agreement that would benefit one another and the only response was to senselessly end countless lives in order to maintain balance because that was what seemed easiest at the time. Not knowing that because of this act they created a foe much greater than the quincy of that time.
Egocentric Ideas and people: In the grand scheme of everything you are a tiny insignificant being that will eventually be lost to time. Abaddon absolutely loathes people who only act to better themselves and those that believe that their important just because of whom they are.
Holding grudges: For Abaddon life is simply too short and valuable to waste time with something as silly as holding a grudge over something trivial. This also applies to those that hold grudges, to give someone or something such power over you that it consumes you and destroys who you are to the very core is silly and childish.
Being a hollow: Abaddon was at one point in his life a hollow and while he is thankful for that experience as it taught him humility and a valuable lesson he hated every single moment. The constant hunger and lack of control over your own actions, the fact that you felt your mind slowly slipping with each soul you took to feed the never ending hunger that was part of you. It was a truly dreadful experience that he hopes he will never have to experience again.
Senseless killing: All life has value and a place in the world. In the grand scheme of everything every life has it's place, so Abbadon abhors the thought of killing others on a whim and without reason. It's something of a conflict for him given his past as a hollow and knowing all the lives he took because of the hunger that he had as a hollow.
War: The very idea of war to Abaddon is a sickening thought. The idea that something is worth taking by such brute force or aggression is maddening to him. Those that start wars or encourage them have no idea as to what happens in a war, the life lost, the lives destroyed. In a war there is no winners, only death wins as he takes more souls from the world of the living and pushes them into the cycle of rebirth. Not only that but war changes those that survive it, mostly in a horrible way and twists their views on life and what is the truth of life and that is life is precious and should be treasured not treated so carelessly.
The effects of war: Even more so than war Abaddon hates seeing the effects that it has on everyone. The ruins of cities that are caught up in it's wake. The lives forever changed by what was needed to survive. Worst of all the deaths that stem from it all, yet what upsets him the most is that all of this could have been avoided if the war was never started or they sought peace instead of war.
The idea that someone is a special little snowflake: Each person and each life is unique, yes that much is true and he respects that, however he can't stand those that believe that what has happened to them is unique to themselves and that they are special because of it. In the time Abaddon has spent walking on the earth and in Hueco Mundo over a billion lives have been lived and died. Trillions of experiences and events have happened and continue to happen to this very day. So he hates the idea that someone believes they are special just because of their own past. These people tend to be self centered and egotistical about what ever has happened to them and constantly bring it up, while it may affect them directly they don't think about the fact that there is possibly others who have had the same experiences or worse ones. They lack the foresight to see past their own little slice of life and experience the world around them. That is what makes Abaddon hate these sort of people, because in the end they tend to be narrow minded and boring.
Those that are shaped by the bad experiences in their life: His life isn't perfect and he understands the loss and pain that can happen from a bad experience in someone's life, however he hates those that are only molded by the negative things in their life. How can someone focus so much on the negative aspects of their life when every day offers something new to experience. To hold onto only the negative and say that that is all that you are is a horrible way to live. If someone lives like that then what is the point of having good memories or experiences if you can't have them mold you as well.
The idea of fate: Fate is an idea that Abaddon hates, there is no grand cosmic plan for anyone. People live, they die. That is the truth of the world, what someone does with their own life while they are alive is totally up to themselves. Everything they do is a result of their own actions, not of some cosmic entity or force that wills them to act or has things fall into place. No one is important enough to have the universe care about them in such a way as to guide their life.
People who blame fate or destiny for their own short comings or failures: While there are some things that are out of a person's control there is no excuse for using fate or destiny for their own short comings. Neither of those two things actually exist, everything that happens to a person is the result of their own actions or the actions of another. So to blame something that doesn't exist as the reason they fail is utterly inexcusable for Abaddon.
People who use fate as an excuse for their own actions: On the flip side there are those people who believe that fate has a grand plan for them and that they are destined for greatness just because of who they are. These sort of people will use fate or destiny as an excuse for their own actions and claim that because of who they are that it's alright. Once more Abaddon hates this sort of mentality, no one is special, the universe didn't create you as it's one true savor or one that destroy it. Everything that you do is of your own accord and it's your choice to act in this manor.
The attitude nobles have: Nobles normally encompass a lot of what Abaddon hates in people. Their egocentric attitude, the idea that because of who they are they're special, the idea that given their birth they're destined to do something great. All of it wrapped in bow along side a silver spoon fed upbringing and disconnect with the real world makes nobles one of the worst people for Abaddon to deal with. It's not any fault they have, it's more or less the attitude that nobles carry that they presume to be better than everyone and everything else because of a last name and the off chance that they were born into the right family. Most nobles don't even have any accomplishments under their own name and often are leeching off of the deeds of a few of their family be it current members or actions from the past.
Likes:
Life: No, not his own life, but life in general, the whole system of it and how it works even after death. Every twist and turn that it can take for an individual or for a group. The complected system that it has created and the creatures and beings that it has made to allow them to experience this gift.
The innocence of children: Children as so naive to the truth of the world, they see everything in a loving and curious manor. They choose to only see the good in people and avoid seeing the dark and gritty reality that is the world. This innocence is something that Abaddon adores, to be able to see the world with such eyes of wonder and not know the truth of the world. That those inhabit the world are horrid beings that are only selfish and greedy doing things for their own sake and not the sake of others. So Abaddon wishes that he could see like them once again, however he knows that he can't and in place wishes for them to keep their innocence as long as possible.
The night sky: The night's sky is so vast. So many possibilities, so many worlds and so much out there. Abaddon loves seeing everything after the sun sets. To see the beauty that comes when light fades and the dark takes over, because in reality the true beauty of the sky is in how many stars people can see in the endless universe. Seeing the bright stars and planets in the night time sky is something that he enjoys for the simple fact that this one thing has created so many stories and legends just based on existing. It seems so tranquil up there in the stars, something so relaxing and peaceful.
Shooting Stars: This actually goes back to his time as a child and his fondness for a particular girl. As a child he made a bet with a young girl that he had a crush on that if he could spot a shooting star she would kiss him. He did, and he got the kiss he wanted. Ever since then seeing them brings back such memories. However seeing the expression shooting stars create on a child's face does make him happy as well given that their eyes light up with wonder and imagination.
The idea of life in other worlds: When it comes to life on other planets there are only two theories out there that make sense and draw in fear for all men. One that we are special and earth is the only planet out there that can sustain life and the other is that we aren't alone in the universe. To Abaddon the latter is exciting to find out that life exists on other worlds is an amazing thought. To find out how they exist, what they do, how they act and more importantly how they live and die. Do they have their own soul cycle or is it connected to this world's soul cycle in a way not known. So many answers and so much possibility.
How little everyone really is: Abaddon knows the truth about life, that everyone is actually very little and so insignificant in the long run, he smiles and embraces this truth. The reason for it? It utterly destroys the idea that nobles are worth more because of their birth or that fate has chosen someone to be a ruler. In the end everyone returns to nothingness over time and while some maybe remembered most will be lost to time. For him this allows him to enjoy the reality that causes most nobles to panic and fear.
The Unknown: So much is currently unknown about all the worlds. From the creation of the menos forest. To the wilderness of the rukongai as well as what is at the bottom of the vast ocean. Each world holds it's mysteries and the unknown and that is exciting for Abaddon. To be able to learn something new about how the world and life works is something that is exciting, at the very least it is for him.
The vastness of the ocean: The ocean is full of mystery and hidden secrets while also being a place of life and vital to the entire planet. Abaddon loves the ocean for all it's mysteries and the fact that it is the birthplace of all life in the world. Everything alive today owes it's self to the ocean as it's starting point. Such a vital place in the world and yet little is actually known about it besides what mankind has dared to see. He wonders what else it holds and marvels at what could be in there.
The Beauty of the earth: The world has so much to offer and Abaddon loves seeing it in it's entirety. There is something amazing to see around every corner of the planet. At least the part of the planet that hasn't been taken over by humanity and soiled by their efforts.
Tea: Ever since he was first introduced to tea when he was a little child he has had a love for the drink. It helped that the first time he was introduced to it he was drinking it to please his childhood crush. Ever since then drinking it often reminds him of a much simpler time and happier time in his life that he can reflect on and enjoy with fondness.
Painting: When he was still a young man Abaddon took up painting as a hobby, but also as a way to record what he had seen and the faces of those that he met and knew. Now he enjoys it as a way to reconnect to his past and as a way to forget the fact that he has outlived everyone he had ever knew growing up.
Photographs: Being able to store an image of an event or someone that you know like that forever and in such a rapid manor is something that he has come to enjoy and wishes that was invented when he was first living. It would have been very useful to him back then, but even now it has it's uses.
Flaws:
Apathetic to those he meets: It isn't that he doesn't care about the lives of others it's that most often their lives are either wasted or consumed by fighting that it leaves him bored of listening to how strong they claim to be or how great of a life they have lived when really they haven't done much.
The Last survivor: It's not something pretty to out live your spouse, your child, your best friend, and everyone you have ever known. Yet Abaddon to this very day lives and breaths. While he didn't achieve this through normal means he still feels upset over the fact that he is still alive to this day and the others aren't.
Memory fading: Abaddon has lived a long life, as a human he was able to have a wife and child. As a hollow he survived for centuries being hunted and feasting. As an arrancar he lived an easy life for the most part. However with such a long life there comes a cost, memories Abaddon is slowly losing his memories of himself as a human and even the memories as a hollow in the very beginning.
Habits:
Carrying around a journal and writing in it: In his coat there is always a journal that he keeps with him at all times. So what could be so precious to him that he keeps it on him? It's a journal filled with things that he remembers about himself and events that happened to him. When a memory comes back to him he will write it down in the journal. However one should know that because of his long life he has multiple journals and there is no telling what is written in the journal he is currently carrying around.
Star Gazing: Abaddon from time to time will look up at the nights sky and simply stare at the vastness of space and the amazing beauty that the stars hold. The tranquility and peace that can come from just watching the stars. Because of this Abaddon will often find himself simply looking up and smiling.
Fears:
Forgetting his old family: With how long Abaddon has lived he has accumulated so many memories and experiences, however while his life has been long and seemingly endless, his capacity for retaining these memories isn't. Each day he slowly starts to lose a bit more of his own past. To keep himself from forgetting totally he has made a large collection of journals detailing his life. Still the idea of losing his own past because of his present is terrifying to him.
A second Quincy genocide : Given the power that the Vandenreich has massed and their willingness to use it against the Shinigami Abaddon has a huge fear that there will be another genocide on the Quincy, this time a more effective one that will wipe out all of the remaining quincies. While he isn't filled to the brim with pride for his race he doesn't wish to see the end of his kind.
Goals:
A union between Las Arenas and the Gotei 13: This is something that he wants to achieve not for his own selfish goals, but in order to achieve a more stable Las Arenas. Given that in his own mind currently the Gotei 13 stand as the biggest hindrance for Las Arenas prosperity and longevity.
To find a way to permanently preserve the memories he has and recover the ones he has lost: Abaddon has lived a very long life and with that comes sadly a cost that he never even thought would happen or occur. He is losing his memories of his first life and the very beginning of his life as a hollow, each day he wakes up and wonders what has he forgotten about his past. Given that the memories are all that he has left from that life he wants to save them and protect them as they're precious to him.
Rebuilding the relationship between the Quincy race and the Shingami: A long time ago there was at the very least a semblance of a positive relationship between the shingami and the quincy, however due to pigheadedness of both sides they destroyed any chance of cooperation between them resulting in a massive loss of life from both sides. Abaddon wishes that he can restore peaceful talks between both races.
Alignment: [Neutral]
Overall Personality:
Abaddon is for the most part a rather calm individual that approaches things with a reserved and dignified demeanor. That being said he isn't one that will hold back the reality of life from those that he speaks with. Some see this as him being direct and cold, which can be true, however he doesn't feel the need to shelter or baby someone from the truths of the world. To him to hide behind false lies that people web about the world. It doesn't do anything to prepare them for the truth of the world, that the world is harsh and cruel, to be able to make it in the world you need to be able to pass by all of this and stand strong.
That being said Abaddon isn't one to try to force them to change their minds if he sees that they're so blinded by the false lies that they can't tell the truth from fiction. Those sorts of people who blindly follow ideals that have no basis for truth are the sort that he tends to distance himself from as they tend to be fanatics that don't offer anything of value to society and instead propagate the destruction of civilized society. While he sees that people are free to do as they wish given that that is life's greatest gift, being able to choose how your actions unfold and how they impact your life. He doesn't wish to interfere with that nor the choices they make.
That is true till it comes to harming the lives of someone else. When he sees others doing actions that directly impact someone else so much so that it could or will cost them their life Abaddon acts. He finds the act of taking someone else life abhorrent and a perverted destruction of nature. To take the very thing that each and every individual is gifted at birth and strip them of it is a sin against what it means to be a human. While he understands very well that life is a set of grays and not black and white to him, knowing that someone will straight up kill another, not for protection or for the betterment of all but simply for their own selfish reason is the absolute epitome of evil. Those sort of folks are ones that have tarnished the beauty of life and don't deserve to continue living.
This is a firm stance he has however due to the nature of where he is and who he has sworn to protect this makes things rather difficult. While most of the hollows in Las Arenas don't eat other souls some do which makes it hard for him to try and protect those that fall in the same sands as him. Given his rebirth he has a need to try and protect Las Arenas given that at it's core it has done something that isn't found in the rest of the worlds. Harmony of most races, here is a unity of all races that all work to build something better.
For the most part if someone stays around for longer than an initial interaction with Abaddon one will see that Abaddon is actually a nice person. While not outright kind or openly friendly Abaddon will be a kind individual for those that are worthy of being kind to. His kindness isn't openly given to everyone, as he knows very well that there are some people who won't want it or will abuse it. As such he doesn't want to waste the time doing so. It would be a waste even still he is civil with them if they are such people who aren't worth the time to be kind to.

-Powers-
Fighting Style:
Fighting, while it isn't his favorite thing to do Abaddon knows that it is a necessary evil, as such Abaddon tries not to fight if he can help it, however if he is forced to Abaddon adapts both the ranged style that his race is known for as well as a close range fighting style that suits his release. Being able to adapt what he will be doing is one of Abaddon's greatest strengths in combat given that it allows him to be flexible when the situation demands it. If he can't win from afar he will get in close and vise versa. Something that often takes other quincy aback given that they spend their time running away and get distance from their foe.
When combat first starts Abaddon will take out his base bow and observe his foe as to how they attack and what their strengths are. Keeping his distance making sure that he can get a good understanding of how this foe fights. If they are a close range person he will try and beat them at long range at first seeing if they have ways to stop range attacks if not he will continue his attacks from afar making the distance between him and the target larger and larger with each moment not wanting to get into an unnecessary close range fight if he can help it. Fighting for him isn't something that he does to seek glory, it's to survive.
If he finds that his long range attacks with his base bow are lacking or he knows from the very get go that he will need more fire power he goes right to using his Gravitational collapse gloves. Unlike the rest of his release this part is actually a staple no matter how he changes his fighting style when he does release. From here two things will happen if Abaddon knows that his long range attacks wont work he will go in for the close range and turn the tide of battle by going in as a heavy hitter with his gloves. If he thinks that his arrows from afar will work he will continue to fire them off now with a bit of extra power behind them, given the properties of his gloves. Either way however Abaddon will continue to use his arrows.
From there it really depends on how the fight is going, if Abaddon knows he can win by keeping the rest of his power contained he will, if he knows that he has to step it up a bit he will. Slowly mixing up what he is using and how he's attacking till he finds what works against the current foe he is facing. While Abaddon doesn't like the idea of killing if this fight has proven to be one that he has to kill in then he shall and he will try to make it as painless as possible.
Bow Release Properties
Form: Gravitational collapse gloves: Abaddon's bow form is that of a pair of black and silver gloves that wrap around his hands. These simple and light looking gloves actually weigh a massive three hundred pounds each. Upon activating his Heart property these gloves will pass on the weight to the arrows that Abaddon uses, while his gloves won't weight any more the arrows weight will double in weight with each passing post.
Form: Protostars: This is Abaddon's main arrow form. His arrows turn from normal arrows into miniature protostars. These stars are exactly the same as their real outer-space counterparts in terms of mass and temperature the stars are formed in a one foot diameter . The main power from this form is the destructive nature that the protostars have being so high in temperature and how bright they are, Abaddon however is able to freely move past them without worry of being burned by his own power or blinded by it. While his Soul property is active the arrows have high density that they actually draw in spiritual based attacks not belonging to Abbadon towards it(as well as beings with spiritual energy in them,), each star has a drawing force of 50 strength for spiritual based attacks that grows by 50 strength for each post in a rage of five feet outward that also grows by five feet each post, making it harder to avoid the drawing power of the stars. However one advantage to this is that if an attack has less power than the total drawing forces on it, the attack will be stuck in place or drawn to the sources of the pulling force if they're grater than the strength of the attack.
Firing: Solar Orbits: Just like how planets spin around a star Abbadon's arrows when fired out will cycle around him if he so wishes. The Orbit is generally five feet around him and in four rings that cycle around him. Abaddon is able to expand and contract the orbit at will.
Power: Black hole: By Abaddon selects one of his stars and then causes it to implode inward creating a miniature black hole that starts to draw everything into it. The drawing force of the black hole is equal to half of Abaddon's RS. Unlike his stars when his soul property is activated the black hole will not grow stronger, unless Abaddon sacrifices stars into the black hole adding drawing force equal to the level of the stars. 10 more drawing force for each class of star. This black hole acts very similar to any black holes found in nature, as such anything that is drawn into it is stretched thin as it enters it, be it spiritual or physical in nature nothing is spared from being sucked into the black hole, say for Abaddon and his own techs.
Heart: Black Star: Upon Activation Abaddon's body changes immensely, his physical form as it's known disappears entirely and is replaced by a black plasma. Abaddon has become a living star in every why shape and form including density and temperature, In this state any form of light that should be reflected off of him doesn't as his mass has become so dense that it doesn't allow for it to escape from his body. Being made up of plasma allows him to ignore normally lethal attacks. While he will still receive damage without a physical form it will not slow him down and with each post his plasma form will rebuild it's self at the rate of minor wounds taking a post medium wounds taking two posts and heavy damage as well as dismemberment taking a full five posts to fix it's self. However damage is still received if he changes back to normal before he has healed from this. However this is simply the effect of being a star, the real power of this comes from what happens when something comes in contact with him. Physical bodies and spirtual bodies that come in direct contact with Abaddon like this will start to atomize as he starts to suck them into his own body adding them to his own mass. Abaddon isn't unstoppable in this form as he still will feel the pain of the damage done to him and if a area is damaged that would normally hinder him as flesh and blood it will still hinder him in this state till healed. However he isn't hindered by the sudden increase in mass and can move normally. For every 100 RS there is a two foot zone where a person needs to have a Heat tolerance of 3 to avoid getting third degree burns from the heat off of Abaddon and for every 200 RS there is a one foot zone that a person needs a heat tolerance of 4 to avoid being severely burned just by entering that area.
Soul: Gravity waves: Abaddon's powers create so much mass that it simply causes him to have a force of gravity all his own, a force that slowly grows stronger each post. In a range of one hundred feet people will be affected by his additional gravity. The required amount of strength to stay upright doubles from twenty five strength to fifty strength and each post this amount will go up by twenty five. However just simply believing that this only affects someone's ability to stand is foolish as this gravity weighs down on an entire person's body making it harder to fight. Abaddon being the source of the gravity will not be affected however his powers are affected and their drawing force will be considered twice as much as they normally would be. 2X spiritual stat resistance to being able to resist the gravity.

History:
Abaddon was born in the late spring of 518 to a set of proud quincy parents hiding that time in a village that was off to the northern end of the River Rhine. To this day Abaddon can't remember the name of the village or if it even still exists. However his birth nor his very early infancy isn't important to him or to his story. While yes his parents were happy to give birth to another child at that time Abaddon was the sixth child to be born from his mother and would be only the fourth to survive past childhood, he wouldn't be the last child that his parents had, as was common for that time. Just as soon as Abaddon was born he was blessed with a sister following just a few years after him on his third birthday.
By the time he was ten years old Abaddon would have been followed by two other boys and a second girl. It was at this time that he assumed that his parents assumed they had enough children and stopped having more kids as having eight children to raise was quite the handful. Besides having to help work the land that his parents had, he had to help raise his younger siblings and practice his quincy arts. Still the ability to practice his skills as a quincy were numerous given that this was a quincy village that was more than willing to train the new generation and help them grow and advance. Abaddon tho wasn't one to train in the quincy ways. He didn't really see a need to do so as he didn't really find a use to getting stronger, that and he was rather weak spiritually.
Abaddon had better success with painting, while not the greatest nor the most impressive he was able to craft himself as a rather good painter and often took requests for religious images and portraits of those in the village. Doing so he was able to at least save up enough money to be able to try and leave the village. It would take him a few years however by the age of fifteen Abaddon had been able to save enough to help him start a new life in a place far away from this village. For him this place had been nice to grow up in, however this wasn't the life for him. He felt that he couldn't grow more in this village as a person, they were only interested in raising more quincy.
Soon the day the came that he would leave, he had packed everything away and was waiting for the merchant cart to come pick him up. He had assumed that this would be an uneventful day, yet it seemed his family had something different in mind. They all surprised him on in the morning with a sort of farewell party for him. They had all gathered back home, two of his older brothers had moved out and had families of their own. Still they all gathered together to wish him well, this had been the last time he would see them all, his path would take him far away from the end goal of this village. This party would last for a few hours till the merchant cart came. He would say his farewells and leave happily knowing that he had his family's blessing.
It took a few weeks, however Abaddon finally found a town that he wanted to settle in. Unlike the village that he grew up in this town was much larger and more populated. The biggest change however was that there wasn't anyone here who was spiritually aware. This was a massive change coming from a village that constantly used their powers in the open, so he needed to keep his powers secret. For the first few months adjusting to this lifestyle was a bit tricky as every time he sensed a hollow he had to resist the urge to go out and try to slay it in public less he look insane to the local townsfolk. Each night a hollow attacked he had to hear the sounds of it's screams and the pleading sounds of both souls and living humans.
Sadly admitting it Abaddon grew use to those sounds even if they weren't that frequent. As a young man he was still full of himself and still didn't understand the value of a life, he didn't see the use of saving someone else while risking his own life to him it didn't make sense. The very idea of risking his own life for another's would come to test one late night as he was returning home from the church as he was working on a mural for the priest. That very night he saw a young woman being attacked by a hollow in the middle of the empty street. He could clearly see that she was still alive and had just been pushed down by the hollow. Her eyes met his and she saw that he could see that she needed help.
Her bright blue eyes saw that he could understand what was going on. Her messy blonde hair splayed all over the ground she laid on. Her hand reached out to him and in the moon light he could see that she had wonderful pale skin. Coming out from under the cover of the clouds more moonlight shined down to show him her face. He could clearly see her expression of fear and desperation as well as her beauty. Desperately she cried out for help and Abaddon simply walked the other way and shut out her pleads as the hollow killed her and ate her soul.
It wasn't his place to get involved with dealing with hollows if they didn't attack him. He didn't like the idea of getting his own hands dirty with killing another creature or worst risking his own life just to end up as a snack for the hollow. Running down another street he rushed home as fast as he could, it was only fair right? Why should he risk his life to help others who he doesn't even know? It doesn't make sense to do that only a fool would rush into a fight like that. Back at the village he had other quincy to help him if there was an attack here he was alone and only had himself to rely on. That night as he laid to rest he could see her face flash again and again in his dreams tormenting him. This would continue for months as he came to understand the guilt he had for abandoning this innocent woman to her death.
Years later Abaddon eventually married a woman a few years younger than him and had a son with her. Her name was Hannah Weber she was a lovely woman who Abaddon spent many long nights with her telling her fantastic tales of his people's history simply as folktales. These were some of the happiest years in his life watching his child grow as well as slowly settling into a life that didn't involve anything to have to do with the spiritual nature of the world. Those times would have to end eventually however, as nothing good ever lasts forever.
It had been a chance meeting, luck had brought him to meet this nobleman of a few towns over. There had been a meeting of town elders and noblemen who were suppose to meet in the town of the nobleman in question, however due to a fire at his manor the meeting was moved to this town where the nobleman had seen paintings that Abaddon had done in the home of the duke. Wanting such talent for his own town the nobleman decided to seek out Abaddon. Even if most of his memories from that time had faded he could still remember the decisive knocking on his door one summer day.
Four very loud knocks happened at the door, followed by another four before a voice called out in an arrogant tone “I request the painter who resides here.” Abaddon had been in the middle of finishing something up so being a good wife Hanna opened the door and greeted the noble. Little did Abaddon know that if he had just gotten up himself and spoke to the nobleman himself he could have saved the life of his wife and child. Oddly enough the nobleman who introduced himself as Adalgar Dietrich had been smitten with Hanna, while Abaddon admitted that his wife was beautiful he didn't exactly see her as someone who would make me fall head over heel at first glance.
This chance encounter had sealed the fate of his family as well as his own. Abaddon hearing that he was being called for slowly made his way to the front of his home with a rag in his hands wiping the paint off of his hands as he moved to greet the strange and well dressed man standing in his door frame. “Ah you must be the painter that I have heard of, I request that you come to my town and do several works for me.” Abaddon simply stood there silent for a few moments wondering what exactly to do, he couldn't exactly leave for an unknown amount of time and leave his family here by themselves, yet the coin that the man would be offering would probably be a great sum to live off of for a while. As he thought of what exactly to do Adalgar piped up once more. “Well painter I don't have all day are you and your family coming or not?” At that Abaddon spoke, “Ah... I see you request my family as well?” Showing a bit of irritation Adalgar spoke rather rash and quickly “Yes, yes bring them along you can't just leave such a beautiful family behind like your here in this dirty town.” As Adalgar said beautiful his eyes wandered over to Hanna. Believing that this was a gift Abaddon simply agreed and later that day Abaddon and his family were ridding to another town in the wagon of Adalgar.
While Abaddon spoke to Adalgar about what exactly he wanted painted and what Abaddon was to be working on Adalgar's eyes wandered over to Hanna who was simply happy that she didn't have to be away from her husband while he worked. Eventally Adalgar's hand wandered over to rest on the knee of Hanna. Abaddon didn't say anything about it as he was not trying to start something here nor did Hanna given that he was a noble and at that very moment this should have been seen as a compliment. This would be far from the last advance that Adalgar would make on Hanna, each time being a bit more direct in his intentions.
It took a few hours however they eventually got to the town of Adalgar, Abaddon and his family were shown to a small house nearby Adalgar's rather extravagant home. This was clearly a show of power and wealth, but Abaddon didn't really care nor did Hanna. He was here to do a job and the sooner he did it the sooner he could be paid and leave to go home. It seemed however that Adalgar wasn't in any rush as to get Abaddon working, given that he said that that he needed to think for now as to what he wanted Abaddon to start working on and simply ordered Abaddon to walk the town and get the lay of the land as well as take in a few sights to draw inspiration from. Thinking nothing of it Abaddon did just that for the first few days, then the first week, followed by a another which eventually turned into a month of him wandering around the town aimlessly. All the while Adalgar would spend his time trying to woo Hanna.
Eventually Abaddon confronted Adalgar about why he had brought him and his family to do in the first place. Even Abaddon had his limit and this was getting ridiculous. To calm Abaddon Adalgar asked that Abaddon to go pain the lake to the south, a task that would take him all day. Thinking that Abaddon finally had a proper job to do he took the task and went off early the next morning before the sun rose. He would spend a majority of the day there and as the sun started to set he would make his way home. The painting was almost completed, it lacked a few finishing touches that he could do at home, as his head peaked up over the hill that was between him and the lake he saw something that made his heart sink. A fire, a blazing fire that was near the home of Adalgar, but more importantly it was right where the home he had been staying in.
Not even thinking he rushed back to his home using Hirenkyaku to quickly cover the vast distance. It was only a minute later that Abaddon arrived at the fire. It was worse than he thought the flames were engulfing everything. That's when Adalgar came up behind him with men by his side. “That'll teach ya house wife, she should have been flattered to catch my eye, but instead she insisted that she was a married woman. If I can't have her then well someone like you shouldn't.” Adalgar laughed at Abaddon and started to walk away, apparently being rejected so many times made the man bitter. Yet Adalgar had made a grievous error in letting Abaddon know who did this. As the men approached Abaddon who by this time was on his knees crying over the loss of his family they would feel a sharp pain in their stomach and by the time they noticed that there was a hole right in the center of their belly another arrow would fly into the center of their foreheads killing them.
Abaddon slowly rose and turned to face Adalgar, his face full of rage at the man who killed his family. Screaming his name at the top of his lungs Abaddon waited for Adalgar to turn around before Abaddon fired off an arrow killing the nobleman in a fit of revenge. Yet he didn't feel any better about what had just happened, revenge felt so bitter sweet as he knew it wouldn't bring back Hanna and Edward. This act did nothing yet leave him feel so empty inside. Abaddon did nothing else that night simply standing in front of the fire that swallowed the home that held the bodies of his wife and child.
Eventually the fire died down as the sun started to rise bringing a new day with it. Devastated from the loss of his family Abaddon slowly walked into town simply wandering towards the lake that he had been commissioned to paint. Right now the only thing that made sense was the need to just keep moving, yet as he walked past drunken man he saw something else. A tavern still open and offering drinks, something to numb everything and make it go away. Sitting down at the tavern's counter top he simply ordered some meed and started to drink. One drink would lead to another and another till he simply blacked out.
A full month of self loathing and drinking would pass before Abaddon one night made his way to the lake. There was a full moon out this night and like every night before he was piss drunk, however tonight he had a reason for being out by the lake as drunk as we was. He wanted to make sure that he couldn't be able to fight it. Walking into the water with part of a wine bottle in hand he smiled upwards as he took a big swig from the bottle of wine. The water was now up to his chest and he showed no signs of stopping. As the water reached his neck he finished off the wine bottle, tossing it aside he could no longer feel his feet touching the water. It was time, swimming a bit more to the middle of the lake before going limp in the water waiting till he sank. Abaddon would pass out as water filled his lungs and he died his body sinking to the bottom of the lake
His soul would be chained to the bottom of the lake and as time went on he eventually became a hollow as his soul chain wore away to nothing he felt the hunger and desire for souls. This hunger forced him to hunt, and hunt he did, luckily for him he was able to hunt freely in this town as there were plenty of folks and if a few went missing here or there. For the next few years Abaddon would continue to hunt in this town left and right, till a shingami was dispatched to try and deal with him. When that happened Abaddon moved on and found another town to eat. He would repeat this for years and years and time would pass by him. He would grow stronger and evolve eventually into a Adjuchas.
Over the years Abaddon would learn much about the world as a hollow, the countless wars that mankind took place in, each one seeming more pointless than the last. The quincy massacre and how shingami were responsible for that, what was worse however was the birth of the Vandenreich from that killing. As he aged Abaddon's temper changed and so did his views, as a curiosity he started to watch over people and see how they aged as well as the lives they lived and each time one would pass away he noticed something more and more that it didn't matter who they were their life had value and so did the life of everyone else. Abaddon saw himself as a bit odd when it came to other hollows, unlike them he wasn't driven by an all consuming hunger all the time. He had time to simply watch the world grow and ate when he felt a bit of hunger. As such he started to think that the tales of hollows he heard as a child weren't all true.
It had been over a thousand years since he first turned into a hollow. He had seen the rise of Rome and the fall, the 'discovery' of America as they called it and it's growth into a super power. The building of weapons so powerful that they ended a war after being used twice and then started another by the fear of not having them. All of it had been building up to this modern area where there was a sense of peace in most of the world, yet there were still some places that violence raged on without excuse or reason. It seemed that even with over a thousands years mankind still couldn't do the simplest of tasks.
It happened one day, something that Abaddon thought impossible, as he was looking for a person who was already at the end of their life for him to eat, he saw what he could only describe as a much younger version of himself. The hair was a different color, but his face and even the way his hair was shaped by the wind reminded him of himself at a very young age. Stunned by this Abaddon stopped everything he was doing. How could this be? He thought how could someone look exactly like he did? In the time he had been alive he had seen plenty of people, some who looked alike, even twins, but the only time he had seen someone who so closely like another is when they had been a descendant. Could it be? Could it be that his family had escaped the fire and they didn't actually die all those years ago?
Abaddon really didn't have long to think about this as he saw something approaching the town, it was the Vandenreich. They held out their flags and were matching closer and closer to the village. From where he was standing up in the air he could see that the villagers weren't exactly too happy about this and that they were getting ready to fight. Abaddon knew exactly what was about to happen, the Vandenreich would wipe out this village. He didn't know the reason, but that didn't matter. There was no way that these villagers could stand up to this army.
Abaddon's body simply reacted, he wasn't thinking at the moment only acting. It didn't matter that he didn't know these people, there was someone here that he wanted to protect, someone that he had to. Unlike all those years ago instead of turning his back to what was happening he would act. As he hovered over the Vandenreich army he knew that this would be a suicide attack, but if it would be one he should at least go with a bang. Mustering all of his reiatsu went for one final attack. His body started to change becoming more human like as a weapon formed in his hands fused to his flesh. The weapon was a bow, a reminder of what he once was. With a smile he pulled back on the string and charged up a massive blast of reiatsu using all of his power before firing it out at the army. He had been lucky, lucky enough that the army hadn't seen him and that they didn't have time to defend themselves. He had slaughtered them and left no traces of survivors.
As the dust started to clear Abaddon felt his body falling from the sky and his conscious slipping away. He had used up everything he had to kill the Vandenreich. His body shed the hollow mask and the black flesh of the hollow slipped off of his body reveling a more human like skin tone underneath Abaddon was turning back into a human. He fully expected to fall from the sky to his death once more given the height at which he had done his attack from. Yet instead of falling to his death from above he felt himself being sucked back into Hueco mundo, something was pulling him in. He had no way to fight back as he was simply too tired, so all he could do was let it happen as he blacked out.
As his body fell through the darkness of Hueco Mundo he heard something in the back of his mind, a voice simply saying welcome. Abaddon didn't know it but his actions had brought the attention of Las Arenas. The sands had decided to bring him into them and have him be reborn in them. Abaddon woke up in the middle of the sands his body buried slightly in them. Standing up he heard the voice once more speak out to him softly in the back of his mind. Welcome Quincy. Abaddon had been reborn, and now he was in a strange land. He could feel something in his body that he didn't for many years the reiatsu of a Quincy flowing through his body. He smiled as he had been reborn, however even being reborn like this was wasn't exactly sure as to what to do, so for now he would take three years to learn more about the world and the world he was in.
