These changes aren't effective quite yet, as they need to be formatted properly and posted in the proper place, but they've received the approval of our Admin, as well as Asmoskon and myself. I debated waiting longer for formatting, but figured that a tease would be better suited for the situation:
Saika changes:
Release costs 200/300/400 to release each level (down from 400/400/400), and requires that you be in the previous level of release for at least one post before going to the next level (think shifting gears).
As the release doesn't currently have a duration, instead what occurs is that, when they release, they halve the remaining time they have before being dragged to Hell. Increasing their release level doesn't do so.
Destroying a Saika's mask doesn't instantly send them to hell, but it reduces their remaining posts before being dragged back by 25% of their maximum posts (A Class 5 Saika with 40 posts out of hell loses 10 when their mask is destroyed). The same is true for their cloak.
Saika will be getting high speed regeneration(!!) that isn't terrible. This of course replaces Regeneration-Embodiment and the ability to Liquify (since the timescale of that was unwieldy). At Class 4, a Saika gets regeneration that is capable of dealing with minor injuries. First degree burns, cuts, bruises, etc. It keeps them relentless, and makes them hard to nickle and dime down. It's not gonna regrow an arm, or even fix a hole that you put in them, but it means that if you don't meaningfully damage a Saika, they lose basically no function. Additionally, when they regenerate in this way, the extra biomass that is now useless becomes lava, capable of burning anyone who isn't the Saika at a strength equal to their RS.
This regeneration improves. At Class 2, they become capable of regrowing hands, feet, holes in their body smaller than a baseball, and second degree burns. This degree of regeneration takes 1 post. Class 1, they can regrow limbs. They cannot repair their head, or internal organs. This degree of regeneration takes 2 posts. This regeneration occurs via a fire that bursts from the wound and spreads along it, and hurts immensely. There's no such thing as a free gift from Hell.
