-Training for SP-
Oh no. Oh no no no no no. The familiar rumbling of thunder overhead caused Gracie to freeze in her tracks, allowing the butterfly she had been chasing to get away. Today, the little mod soul had decided to run around and play in the far off outskirts of Karakura Town, per the usual; she had started to pick up that the town's people responded poorly to seeing a walking cat toy wandering around in broad daylight, and it always ended up making trouble for Gracie's new friends. And the last thing that Gracie wanted to do was make things harder on those that she cared about, hence why she had decided to come all the way out here.
The weather had been bright and sunny so far, and Gracie had been having a wonderful time running and rolling in the grass, picking flowers, and chasing any insects that her frolicking stirred up. But now dark gray clouds were rolling in to ruin her day. When the thunder started to resound in large claps, the little gray ball of fur stopped everything, a jolt running through her system as she slowly turned her head up at the gloomy clouds rolling in overhead. Gracie had experience with thunder before, and she knew that she wasn't going to like what was coming next...
Rain. The last time the cat toy had been out in a storm was the first time she had experienced one, and when the thunder had started up, she just sat there staring at the sky trying to figure out what was wrong with it. Gracie had no time to get away from the icky, disgusting water, and had gotten completely soaking wet. Well, this time the mod soul knew better; she wasn't going to let the rain surprise her again! With a quick hop, Gracie's head started to whip side to side as she looked for someplace to take shelter, and fast.
Being far outside of the town, there weren't many buildings that he could try to hide in, and even fewer that weren't boarded up so that she could get in. Frantically, Gracie dropped to all four limbs and started running down the nearby ramshackle path as fast as she can, only pausing to inspect potential shelter and quickly moving on when she realized she couldn't get inside. "Gotta beat the rain, Gotta beat the rain, Gotta beat the rain!", Gracie chanted the conviction to herself nonstop as she kicked up a tiny dust cloud behind her. She was determined to stay dry this time.
Upon finally reaching the end of the dirt road and still finding no place suitable to take shelter, Gracie was greeted by the sight of the big, spooky, and abandoned asylum sitting atop a lonely hill. A busted up fence topped with barbed wire surrounded the scary-looking place, though there were plenty of holes and gaps big enough for Gracie to squeeze through. The sight of the place would have been enough to give most children nightmares, especially viewing it against the darkened sky of the incoming storm, but Gracie was relatively fearless, and when she saw that the boards on the door were broken just enough for her to get in, she made a bee-line for it.
"I made it! Take that rain!", she gave a relieved cheer as she ducked through the splintered wood and into the darkened room, completely unconcerned and unaware of what she might find inside. Gracie paused when she realized she couldn't actually see anything inside the room very clearly from just how dark and dimly lit it was, but no sooner had she hesitated did the rain start to pour down. Well, she most certainly wasn't leaving now. Ah well. Gracie put on an optimistic smile as she brushed away the dust from her fur before setting off walking into the pitch-black room. She was here now, so she might as well see if there was anyone around to play while she waited for the rain to stop. "Hey there! My name is Gracie and I wanna be your friend!", she called out in hopes of hearing an answer, "Is anybody home? We can play games!"
