(Training for SP)
Mushina yawned as she walked through the forests outside of the Rukongai in an attempt to expand her knowledge of spirit healing, as well as doing some physical training on the side. After reading through some of the lower level kaido she decided that Hiringuobu was a perfect start. With her zanpakuto worn on her waist she had a pretty straightforward plan to practice; cut herself with her own zanpakuto and learn the kaido in order to heal the wound. Yeah not the smartest way to do it, but as of now it was the best idea she could go on at the moment. After walking for a few more minutes she found a nice stream that she could sit by.
It looked really peaceful as well what with the clear blue water gently flowing on its path with only a few large rocks to get in its way. She sat down with her legs crossed and drew her zanpakuto before sighing. She'd never really done this kind of thing before and was pretty shaky about it, but eventually she pressed her zanpakuto's blade against her leg and gently slid it from one side to the other. She gasped quickly and focused as the pain came quick, producing a small cut that started bleeding almost immediately. Now came the hard part; focusing her reiatsu into her hands and pouring it into the wound.
Musuhina did as the text said and held out her palms before slowly building, and focusing her reiatsu to that point. At first she could feel a small spark of energy flare on the surface, but ever so slowly she could feel the reiatsu flow to the center, building and building to the point where she could see a small shimmer of light appear between her hands. Her eyes widened in wonder, watching the little flickering light slowly grow into a ball that was very formless at first, but as she relaxed it slowly formed a solid ball of blue light. Sadly, it appeared that the technique was just out of her each.
Frustrated, she decided to attempt it yet again, feeling just a bit winded from her previous effort. She once again focused her reiatsu between her hands, feeling the energy focus and create the same blue light from before. Her breathing started to get heavier as sweat started to form above her brow. She gritted her teeth and stared at the wound she inflicted on herself. It seemed that her blood had already started to slow down as far as the rate of blood loss was concerned.
"Dammit, I was so close!" She shouted as she gave up on the ball of light as it slowly faded. Musuhina laid on her back, angered at her failure as she attempted to catch her breath. After a while she stood up again with her zanpakuto in her hands. She took it and washed the blood of of its blade before staring back at the text. "Mark my words you little bastard, you'll be the first technique in this art that I master, count on it." she said with an aggravated look on her face.
After a short rest, Musuhina decided that she might as well practice with her zanpakuto while she was here, even though she was technically wounded. Though she figured that she might as well train while wounded since she could very well be doing that someday. With that plan in mind she readied her zanpakuto with both hands holding it firmly as she started to slash downward several times. As sweat began to form once again, Musuhina started to keep her breathing as controlled as she could, not wanting to exhaust herself too quickly.
Slowly she began to take a step for each swing she made while making guarding motions to train her defensive reflexes. Though as time went on she slowly started to guard more and more, even going as far as redirect her invisible foe's blade and quickly spinning to the side in an attempt to flank him. Her breathing was now getting much heavier like before as she had to take a few seconds now and then to wipe the sweat off of her forehead. Sadly, as she continued her training, she didn't really notice the sweat that was slowly making its way down to her open wound.
Her eyes widened when the stinging shot up her spine. She bit her lip and, somehow thinking it would work, started stomping the ground with the foot of her bleeding leg. Seeing as this could only get worse, she decided to hightail it back to the manor to take a bath as well as get herself a bandage for her leg. With each stinging second as a healthy reminder to go faster. With that she put her zanpakuto back into it's scabbard before taking every opportunity she could to use Shunpo on her way back.
