While Nesr was moving forward to try and hit this man, she noticed his right foot moving. While his right foot was moving towards her, she jumped up and over his leg, getting missed by his attack. She kept her wings out to the side, helping her get more air in the jump. Since she had dodged the kick, the sand had missed its mark as well. Now, she was quickly thinking of a counter attack.
She still had a grip on her staff, so when she jumped up, she would start to flip in the air, using her acrobatics. When she hit the apex of her flip, she would try her best to claw at the man. The areas she was aiming at were neck, face, shoulder. Those were the easiest areas that she could hit. So, her basis was that she jumped up to avoid the kick and started to flip over Yveltal, keeping a hold of her staff.
This way, if he was still holding on, his arm would hopefully continue to move backwards, making it uncomfortable for him to keep a hold of it. She would complete the entire flip and land on the ground. Right when she would land, she would flap her wings hard, giving her space to move away from him about ten feet. If he was able to keep hold of the staff for the entire flip, if she wasn't able to wretch it out of his hands when she pulled backwards, she would let it go.
She didn't see the point on holding onto that if he was that much stronger than her. When he made his comment, Nesr would chuckle to herself, sounding more like cawing to his ears. What he had just said was comical. He obviously didn't know Horus that well. "Nesr always helped by Horus. Mortal can't break gods. Speak wrong, you do." She would glare at him again, ruffling her feathers at him.
