What was going on out here, it had already been two days of here camping out in the blistering cold land, it was a good thing she had packed up her tent and other tools to help her in this small journey to find a good kill. Give me something. Alissa thought to herself and continued to sit at her camp, a small fire was able to survive even though she wasn't too close to it. She was cooking the small rabbit she had hunted out in these woods. All she had to do was wait for it to finish, the skins she caught we're cleaned and stitched, clipped onto the back of her bag like trophies.
Once the meal was done, she threw snow at the fire from afar, she couldn't get to close to it or else she would feel that pain she hated so much. Once it was put out she waited a good few minutes to let it cool, she could only eat her food once it was cold. Upon hearing a strange sound echo through the woods she figured it was something terrible, wolves maybe? a bear? what was lurking out here. She stood up on alert, slowly and steady grasping her make-shift bow that was resting beside her.
What on earth was that? it was a loud screech, it didn't sound like any animal she heard before. I should check it out, but . . . I'm so afraid . . . whatever I'm curious. She looked at her small camp, the set up tent and her bag down beside her, with a new rabbit skin. Nobody's gonna steal it, nobody would even survive out here. With a heavy sigh she began to travel back into the cold woods, her clothing wasn't thick, just a simple camouflage pull-over and a pair of cargo jeans, along with some dark black hunting boots, a pair of worn out gloves to grip her sturdy wooden bow.
It didn't take long for her to drop in shock of what she saw, w-what was that thing? It looked like a zoo animal, a white skull head, white front and back legs, the torso was completely back and some strange long tail swinging around, we're those bones coming out of the back like spikes? it was right on it's hip. Black sockets where the eyes should be, but when it opened its mouth and let out a monstrous screech. It was looking right at Alissa, this wasn't a hello.
The screech roared right at her and send a wave of sound blasting her back and slamming into a tree, the smack was loud and she had dropped her bow in the snow from the surprise, what the hell was this thing, she coughed and groaned from the pain, it was definitely gonna leave a bruise. She looked at her bow, the holster for her arrows strapped around her shoulders, she was lucky they didn't get knocked out from the holder, but damn did it hurt, the tree and the arrows both caused her pain, if only she wasn't holding them directly on her back.
She saw the monster lunge at her quickly, its arms and legs hitting the snow like bolts of lightning. She wanted to scream but was frozen in fear she couldn't find the small courage to reach her bow and pull out an arrow.
