Katrina watched with interest. She, admittedly, wasn't very good with science or technology, but even she could tell that what Kazura was doing wasn't simple. She felt slightly in awe of this young, handsome human - and the human was the most surprising part. He was unique to his race; polite, intelligent and with notable respect. Well, she was watching him as much as his work. "... He is going to be something some day ..." She thought with a smile.
At his inquiry, his gaze snapped up to him. "As a matter of fact, yes." The bag she brought had a few other items in it, which she pulled out. First was a folded set of clothing, which she sat on the table. Then, a belt, gold and black in color. "This is a Flip Belt. In high reishi environments, it allows the user to reverse the effects of gravity on these." This she laid on top of the outfit. "These are stealth cloaks. The first hides the user from physical sight, the second hides the user from that of the spiritual." She folded these and laid them on top of the outfit, and together handed them to Kazura. "My job for you is to combine them into the outfit in your hands. In exchange, I will allow you to examine the items ..." Here she trailed off, a deadly look entering her eyes. " In absolute secrecy. These designs do not necessarily belong to my family, and thus mass production is ... frowned upon. I, for one, will suffer." She looked at him, almost pleading.

Kazura chuckled. "You bring me gifts that I already have, unfortunately. I can easily sew the cloaks and the belt into the outfit, no problem. But you're going to have to make requests bigger than that if you want something that actually challenges me. But yes, I can do this for you while you think about something harder for me to do to earn your money." While Katrina thought about what he had said, rather bluntly, he got out a pair of scissors, needle, and thread and quickly and masterfully attached the cloaks.
The majority of the outfit was no longer together, as the Camo cloak became the majority of the material, but he maintained the style of the original outfit. The Stealth cloak and the Reiatsu concealing Cloak were woven into the same hood and Cloak to not have too much fabric flapping around. The Flip belt was also easy to fashion into a permanent belt in the waist of the pants. Overall, an easy job, but one that he'd get paid for none-the-less.
His request surprised Katrina. What was even more surprising, however, was his willingness to still sew the outfit, despite only receiving a monetary compensation. ”Would that be selfish or just the opposite? Oh, it doesn't matter.” Katrina was, at heart, an honest girl, and she would be lying to herself if she didn't admit she was charmed. But she refused to allow it to impact her business relationship. Still, maybe she leaned in a little too close to watch him sew, and she would refuse to admit her normally stem expression had softened.
”You want a challenge?” He was a man after her own heart. She ruffled in the bag, grabbing the last item in there; a sheet of paper. On it was a drawing, crudely designed but the idea was there. Several, actually. The first was a “safe” explosive. A powerful bomb located in a shell, designed to only destroy anything in it's radius, nothing more. The second was a visor. An integrated visor, overlaid with any information from both the soul society and the human world. “Facial recognition?” was written in bold. And the final was a shield of sorts, a collapsible disk that wouldn't lose any of its strength from the hinges.
”I designed them myself.” She bit her lower lip to stifle an uncharacteristic giggle. ”Well, maybe design is the wrong word. These are all items I would find of incredible use. Especially …” She rapped a nail on the visor. ”The ability to access any information at a glance would be a boon. You have a soul phone, how you connect it is up to you. I am certain you can find a way to connect your human world internet.” At that, she undid her watch, tossing it on the table. ”That is a Soul Gauge. It determines spiritual strength. It is great as is, and would love an improvement. Regardless, I would like to see it incorporated. As for the other two …” She paused, seemingly thinking about it. ”They are not as high a priority, though still greatly appreciated.”

Kazura chuckled. She delivered on his request for a challenge. "I've seen a soul gauge before, and incorporated them into glasses before. It would be nice to have those again. But I would be lying if I said that I knew exactly how to manufacture glasses that exceed Google glasses. I have a contact that could help, though." Kazura paused as he thought of the odd Shinigami that he knew would be perfect as a resource for that task. Then he turned to the other challenges. A no-casualty bomb and a no-hindrance shield. "I really do like both of the other items you designed. Focused on maximum efficiency and minimal harm to innocents. I'll be glad to flesh out the designs and make it a reality."
The shield wouldn't be difficult at all. It would take another glance at the Create-a-Weapon technology, some sketches, and some inspiration from some weapons like the Power Gauntlet SP Mark I that had a similar plate structure that would help. The bomb, however, had Kazura stumped, initially. If you surround a bomb in a shell, it's going to become random chaotic shrapnel. But if you hinder it so that it has a small blast radius, then you lose out on the point of a bomb which is a way to get a wide area destroyed in a short amount of time. Thinking back to some of Asmoskon's bombs and their ingenuity, though, he was sure that he could rise to that challenge as well. After all, he was one of the best inventors on the planet.
Katrina nodded. ”My thoughts precisely. The biggest problem with using explosives is, of course, civilian casualty. So if we can focus the blast forward and in-” She gestured with her hands, cupping them into a ball with the fingers splayed. ”-somehow, while at the same time limiting the size of the explosion with detracting from its potency … well, civilian casualties from this sort of thing would become nearly non existent.” Her eyes gleaned as she spoke, excited as she was about the possibility. ”And shields in general are too bulky to carry around, for one of my … ahem, profession. A small, lightweight shield that still possesses defensive power while being able to be easily hidden and stored would be a hit, I'm sure.”

What Katrina said... didn't help Kazura at all. An explosion that goes outwards while goes inwards? It broke every law of thermodynamics and physics that the man knew. But there was potential in the idea, he knew it. His computer-like instincts were running on overdrive, comparing hundreds of ideas simultaneously before he settled on one. "I get what you're saying about the bomb, but think about it this way for a moment. Why does it have to be explosive? If the goal is to take out a set area of space around an object, then I have a better idea. Just hear me out."
Kazura willed a pedestal to rise from his floor, holding a variety of equipment and weapons. He selected a gauntlet and put it on his right hand before activating the plasma claws in the tip. A bright red light filled the room as his claws emerged, claws that could cut through steel with ease. "Imagine wires that could form a net and broadcast this plasma between themselves. If tucked inside a ball and ejected, they would fan out while destroying anything in the radius, then would reach their limit, stop moving, turn off, and then get pulled back inside the ball. It's not explosive, but would have the exact effect that you want. The only casualty would be someone inside the radius, and also the ground. The ground will be vaporized in a large crater every time you use this."
Katrina listened intently, but found it a struggle to comprehend; her mind wasn't suited for the creation process. She had lots of ideas, certainly, but are wasn't science minded. ”I won't pretend to entirely understand what you're saying, it goes far above me. But so long as it accomplishes the goal, I see nothing wrong with it.” She paused for a second, an idea sparking in her eyes. ”If it is not an explosion, could you make it audibly undetectable?” I mean, stealthy infiltration with a bomb is nearly impossible, it makes two much noise ...But with this “plasma net", could it be done?” The hint of an excited grin ghosted across her face.

Katrina looked... very excited, and had quite an attractive grin on her face that passed almost as quickly as it had shown up. He had to admit, she was easy to look at, and he had brought women to bed for less reasons. But she had made it clear the last time they met that this was going to be a business relationship. He'd messed up the first impression with his arrogance, and set their relationship as one of business only. So he pushed his flirtatious nature to the side and continued his calmly analytical response. "I suppose it would be silent, yes, but a big expanding ball of red light followed by quite a large hole would still be enough to mess up a stealthy infiltration. But, if the casing of the net was sticky, and could be set at varying sizes, you could set it to a doorknob and just destroy enough to gain access. That could definitely work."
A wide smile split the elfin features of the Kawada Princess. She was ecstatic, far more ecstatic than was healthy for a business relationship. Her guard was down, and Katrina with her guard down was … notorious for doing stupid things. Nonetheless, she seemed in control of herself … for the moment. ”That is … brilliant.” Her eyes flashed to him, wide blue saucers. A color unlike any in the human world. Her smile turned into a smirk, revealing enlarged incisors, giving her a rather wolfish smirk. ”In my experience - in my profession - people don't help each other, like this.” For a brief moment, she laid her hand over his, her long slim fingers cool to the touch. ”And because of that, I find it hard to trust. So thank you.”

"Your profession sounds like something I don't ever want to be a part of, then. I thought the Shinigami functioned like an army? What kind of army doesn't help each other in a simple way like making their designs into reality." Kazura accepted the warm gesture of the Shinigami's hand over his, and quite liked the woman's smile, and his tone softened a bit. While it is true that he was talking down about the Soul Society, mostly, he wasn't doing so out of malice. He merely didn't agree with an organization's methods if they didn't work together. He was very strongly about team work and good will towards members working towards the same goal. Hopefully by working with Katrina, the fullbringer could work to improve the Soul Society slowly as well.
An odd sort of smile crossed her face, equal parts sardonic and amused. ”Being a member of what equates to a group of assassins, I am not surrounded by the most trustworthy of individuals. I am sure I could foster a relationship with the rest of the Soul Society … but I hesitate to forge friendships with anyone I may be called upon to handle to execute.” She was blunt about her duties, she felt she could trust Kazura; and besides, some sympathy and proper outrage would be appreciated. Her family is not exactly appreciated for their sympathy.
”Though I must admit, you do have it nice here …” A quick flash step took her to the window, alighting without a sound. She was silhouetted by the moon, balancing on the window sill, drinking in the sights. She spoke softly now, almost to herself. ”There is no view like this in the Soul Society. There's nature certainly, but our towns … She shook her head, inky tresses shivering. ”I never thought of the human world being beautiful before … just another thing you've proven I was wrong about.” And she turned to him, a smile on her face that radiated from her; a no-holds-barred expression, unlike any she's given so far. Another quick flash step brought her to her spot, sitting on the table edge, but her eyes shone brighter than normal, never leaving the interesting young man in front of her.

Katrina drank in the sights of Karakura's night skyline. Uzaki Enterprises towered over most of the town, and Kazura's penthouse office stood at the top of that, so her view was impressive indeed. That is for a town like karakura. "Do you come here often? This town is very small compared to cities like Dubai, Buenos Aires, or London. Those nightlights would take your breath away if you saw them at night. And those are just the big ones. There are also the more lovely and romantic places like Paris. I could take you if you'd like."
She heard the words, but couldn't quite comprehend them. ”Did- did he-” There was a time (like three hours ago) where she would have laughed in his face. But now … the very offer made her heart beat faster, sending a blush scurrying up her cheeks. ”I … I would love to … There are-” But whatever she was going to say was lost as she stopped herself, worrying her lower lip. Blue eyes burned like stars as she got to her feet; not for the first time she felt a slight flicker of irritation at how much taller Kazura was, but this time she let it show, her brow creasing as she looked up at him.
”... I’ve been to Paris … but I've never had the pleasure- I mean, I've never gone with anyone else. Only to shop.” Her cheeks reddened as she admitted to her secret obsession, mollified slightly by the grin that crossed her face. ”And I've always had fun … I guess I'll let you tag along, though.” Her tone was equal parts challenging and flirtatious, even despite the almost-embarrassed pall of her cheeks.

Kazura learned, as he had learned many times in the past, that regardless of his intellect or his experience or his supercomputer like brain... He would never understand women fully. First, Katrina had blushed and looked embarrassed, then she glared at him with irritation and a furrowed brow, then she went back to grinning while saying that Kazura could tag along with her to Paris even though he invited her. He decided not to object to anything, merely to move on since she had agreed to the venue change. "I'd love that. I'll get the jet prepared. It's usually fueled, but I'll need a pilot. Did you want to get a Gigai so that you can be seen, or is it fine if my eyes are all that can see you?"
”You have a jet?” The question was asked with a quirk of her eyebrow and a slight upwards tilt of the mouth. ”Now you're just showing off.” A quick flicker brought her to the window, again silhouetted against the moonlight. On her out held finger landed a Hell Butterfly. ”While I get packed, start working on some designs. Don't worry, I'll be right back.” She hesitated, then: ”I'll prepare a Gigai. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of being yours only … but I would hate to make you talk to yourself the entire time.” And with a flash step she was gone.
The young girl, invisible to most human eyes, ghosted through the walls of a store that claimed to be an upscale boutique. Walking through matter had always given her an odd feeling, like her stomach was doing back flips, but she put it off to her imagination. Her sharp eye picked out what she liked - a silver, shimmery dress that appeared to be made more of water than cloth and a pure black bikini. Both were, of course, far too big for the woman in miniature, but with some creative sewing and liberal uses of her Kunai, she made it work. A small grin grew on her face.
The bathroom was a fancy affair, all marble and leather, though Katrina beheld it with no wonder. She was focused instead on her reflection as, layer by layer, she stripped to be bare, shivering lightly on the frigid stone floor. She hesitated now; if she came armed, Kazura might consider it an insult or, worse, a threat … but if she didn't, that would be stupid - and quite possibly dangerous - on Katrina's behalf. With a shrug, she undid her belt. ”Better safe than sorry.” The two stiletto daggers she carried were tied by a leather thong to her thighs. Not many weapons would be able to go with her, but … she eyes the bottle of Senbon nervously. Versatile little weapons whose real strength was how easy they were to hide. First, though …
Her practiced hands teased her hair, tossing and messing the black locks until they fell in waves around her shoulders, one lock partially obscuring her right eye. Mascara and eye liner were applied in light quantities, giving her a smoky, mysterious look. Her nimble fingers plucked two needles from the container of fifty, and with slightly shaking hands got to work. Slowly, at a sheer angle to lie flat against her skin, Katrina slid the needle into her skin. The prick of pain nearly made her flinch, sheer force of will keeping her arms still. It was an agonizing experience sliding the needle through her arm. Finally it came to a rest just barely poking from her skin, where only those with highly honed senses could spot it. Quickly, with much more confidence, she repeated the process with her left arm.
Senbon also were entwined in her hair and hidden in the lines of her clothing - on the hem line, mainly. Additionally, ten were hidden in the heel of her stilettos. Altogether, she had thirty needles hidden on - or in - her person, as well as two stiletto knives hidden on her thigh. Unfortunately, her longer and more powerful blades couldn't be hidden as efficiently, but she wouldn't be much of an assassin if she couldn't cope. She put on her dress then, the soft silky material clinging to her like a second skin. For a second she felt naked without the familiar weight of her belt and its armaments, but she shook herself out of those silly thoughts; she was more than adequately armed, and her weapons would be kept more than safe in Kazura’s place. Before she put her belt in the bag, however, she fished two things; what appeared to be a jeweled ring and a blue and silver pair of gloves.
These were, in reality, yet another line of defense: Kakute and Neko-Te. The Kakute are a design of ring useful for Kunoichi in particular. Hollow, with two sharp studs on it, it's a perfect stealth weapon. Katrina's, unlike the standard copper and brass, was made of silver and diamond, the golden phoenix emblazoned on the front. The Neko-Te, on the other hand, were another matter entirely. Leather with silver silk hiding, the fingers are reinforced with sharp, curved claws, the slimness of these claws belaying their strength. These she slipped on, the long, elbow length gloves melding seamlessly with the elegantly thin straps of the dress. A current, let in by some hole somewhere, whipped her dress; glancing down, Katrina couldn't suppress a frown. ”That slit could be a problem …” The slit in question spread to her hip, tastefully exposing just a little leg with every step.
The problem occurred when she made a large step; the leather thong was fully visible, the brown material standing painfully out against her skin. A quick look around the shop, however, and her problem was shoved; several pieces of ribbon tied together seemed strong enough to hold the weight of the two daggers, though she'd have to check it on the plane. Now, when it was exposed, all anyone saw was a blue ribbon tied in a bow. She left then, letting the Hell Butterfly phase her through the walls. On her way to get a Gigai, she paused at a rose bush and a smile crept on her face. ”One last touch.” A quick swipe with her blade cut the rose just below its petals, and this she slid into her hair, the brilliant red contrasting sharply with the black. ”You can take care of this, right?” The leather bag which had previously held the materials she had brought for Kazura, but now held her belt, weapons, and other clothes, was slid into the table. Katrina appeared to be a completely different person; red lips, smoky eyes, and a sultry look defined her as she stood, the faintest of smiles on her lips, her right hip out further than the left. The dress clung to her curves and - thanks partially to her bra - even made her appear to have curves she didn't. In her left hand was clutched a gold purse, where she kept a wallet, soul candy, bikini and a digital camera. Paris was going to be fun.
