Lien's respect for other deities was..... mixed. It was not that he disliked other deities, nor didn't necessarily believe in their existence, but that as a follower of Milani he inherently avoided them and their followers. Therefore, he found little interest in the Temple of Pharasma. As a half-elf he lacked the confidence to outright advertise for his deity, but he knew there would be other ways. The looks that people were giving him was clear evidence that simply thrusting pamphlets or spouting sermons would not get him far here. He had to find the injustices that Milani opposed-- the tyranny she opposed, and use it to get others to see the light. With that in mind, Lien lurked away from the middle and upper class areas of town, trying to find his way, on his own, towards the outskirts of town, where expected more people, down on their luck, would be.

Hvor would find that roughly a dozen locals had gathered within the Laughing Demon tavern. Cooking some meatballs in the back was one of the funeral attendees from earlier, the portly man who had been comforting Kendra. The patrons would look up to Hvor as he entered, going quiet. Then the larger man would look up from his work, and instantly broke out into a wide smile when he noticed Hvor.
"Ah, hello there!" he would say, his tone jovial. "You're Hvor, right? Welcome to the Laughing Demon! Please make yourself at home!"
The quiet atmosphere from the half-orc's entry would instantly disperse once the cook gave his greeting, and the locals would go back to what they were doing before.

Lien would see that compared to most of Ustalav, Ravengro was doing quite well. A dedicated alchemy shop, both an inn and a tavern, an actual town hall.... Yes, compared to the many other villages that were outright abandoned in Tamrivena county, Ravengro was doing well. However, it still had a less well off area, as all places do.
As he traveled there, he would see a few familiar faces from the funeral. It seemed that the men who lived out in these outskirts were the same ones who had disrupted the professor's funeral earlier. However, they seemed less interested in bothering the half-elf than jeering a series of racial slurs at a wagon train that was also parked on the outskirts of town.
The wagon train consisted of a half-dozen hrose-drawn carts that possessed an undeniable amount of wear and tear from the road. Painted on the side of each wagon was what appeared to be a series of sideshow attractions, from a strong man to a bearded lady. A stylized scroll above the pictures proudly (if somewhat sun-bleached) proclaimed the owners to be "The Greatest Traveling Curio Cabinent in Ustalav" or "The Crooked Kin" depending on the wagon. Outside, attending to the care of the horses and seemingly ignoring the jeering farmers, was a seven-foot-tall man. He was, without a doubt, the ugliest person Lien had ever seen. Accompanying him was a pin-headed girl, who appeared distinctly uncomfortable with the jeers that the men were giving.

Hvor was so close to turning around and walking out of the tavern that was appearing to reject his unusual appearance, but when the cook looked up and welcomed him, the rest of the tavern went back to normal, which was a good sign. Finding an empty seat, hopefully close to the kitchen/bar, Hvor attempted to order a drink and some of those delicious smelling meatballs.

Lien's brow furrowed in concern. This was a very unfortunate situation. He had half a mind to step forward immediately and help the troupe, but held back for just a moment to judge the situation a moment or two longer.
